Card #14 Ken Patera (c) vs. Sgt Slaughter – non title match Jerry Lawler and Kerry Von Erich to sign Supercard #2 contract The Blade Runners vs. The Briscos Jeff Jarrett vs. Jesse Ventura The High Flyers vs. The Koloffs
Results: The Koloffs defeat The High Flyers via Russian Sickle at 5:11. The Koloffs are showing the wrestling world that they are a force to be reckoned with in the AWA. This was a rematch from Supercard #1 and The Koloffs were looking to even the scores. Ivan started the match against Brunzell and tried to go for the Russian Bearhug but could not lock it in and Brunzell managed to tag in Greg who came in on fire but missed a dropkick which allowed Ivan to tag in Nikita. Nikita pulverized Gagne and hit the Russian Sickle to quickly end the match.
Jesse Ventura defeats Jeff Jarrett via Bodybreaker at 11:26. Once again, Jesse Ventura’s cockiness almost let Jeff Jarrett get a victory. Jarrett, who was not involved in Supercard #1, seemed rested and focused while Ventura was more interested in flexing his arms to the crowd who booed him loudly. Jarrett nearly won the match but Ventura managed to get his foot on the ropes. Jarrett then went up top for an elbow drop but Ventura got his foot up. He locked in the Bodybreaker and the match was over.
The Blade Runners vs. The Briscos ends in a no contest at 14:04. The former champs were looking to regain their position as number one contenders for the AWA Tag Team championship but standing in their way were the Blade Runners who were equally determined to get back on track. This time was different however, as the Blade Runners seemed to work better as a team and were able to use their size to their advantage. They hit the Bearhug/Vicious Blow on Jerry but Jack came in for the save. Then all hell broke loose. The Valiants stormed the ring and attacked the Briscos. The Blade Runners attacked the Valiants as the crowd cheered them on. Then the Powers of Pain hit the ring and attacked the Blade Runners. The referee threw the match out the window. When all was settled, the Blade Runners and Briscos were left standing in the ring. The Briscos offered their hands and the Blade Runners accepted.
Everyone in the arena was on their feet as AWA World Champion Jerry Lawler, accompanied by One Man Gang, and number one contender Kerry Von Erich stood in the ring with a table set up. On the table was the contract for the main event at Supercard #2. Verne Gagne was present to make sure nothing happened between the two. Von Erich signed first and stared hard at Lawler. Lawler laughed at him and signed the contract.
Ken Patera defeats Sgt. Slaughter via falling cross body at 12:51. In a terrific match, Slaughter and newly crowned AWA United States champion fought in a non title match. Both men fought as though the title was on the line. Slaughter had the offensive for most of it but Patera was able to absorb the punishment and continue. Patera eventually gained the upperhand and went to the top rope. Slaughter staggered to his feet but was met with a perfectly executed falling cross body from Patera. Slaughter could not get his shoulder up and Patera won the match. Immediately afterwards, Hercules stormed the ring and hit both men with his chain. He screamed in Patera’s face that his title reign would be short lived.

Card #15 The Valiants/Powers of Pain vs. The Briscos/Blade Runners – 4 Man Elimination Match Nord the Barbarian vs. Colonel Debeers Hercules issues a challenge to Ken Patera Power Warrior vs. Iron Sheik Ivan Koloff vs. Jim Brunzell
Results:
Ivan Koloff defeats Jim Brunzell via Russian Bearhug at 12:51. In a fantastic opening match, Brunzell and Ivan Koloff add another chapter to the High Flyers/Koloffs feud. The match went back and forth. Brunzell managed to use his speed to counter Koloff’s power. Brunzell made an error though when Koloff rolled out of the ring. Brunzell went up for a falling cross body. Koloff moved and Brunzell landed on the steel guard rail. Koloff threw him in the ring and applied the Russian Bearhug. Brunzell could not hold out and tapped out.
Power Warrior defeats Iron Sheik via Strangle Hold Gamma at 6:01. The Iron Sheik entered the ring to a loud chorus of boos. He attacked Power Warrior before the bell and did not let up. He used whatever tactics he could to maintain the advantage. He signaled for the loaded boot and nailed Power Warrior in the head. Power Warrior got a second wind and nailed Iron Sheik with a lariat. Iron Sheik got to his feet but Power Warrior locked in Strangle Hold Gamma and Iron Sheik’s arm fell three times for the win.
Hercules entered the ring and bragged about how he laid out both Sgt Slaughter and Ken Patera. He said he was the strongest force in the AWA and if Patera had any guts, he would give him a title shot at Supercard #2.
Nord the Barbarian defeats Colonel Debeers via Running Leg Drop at 9:20. Quickly becoming a fan favorite for his bizarre antics, Nord the Barbarian took it to Colonel Debeers. Debeers used his dirty tactics to gain the initial edge but Nord was just too strong for him. At one point, Nord tossed him across the ring like a rag doll to the crowd’s delight. Nord got excited and nailed Debeers with a steel chair but the referee didn’t see it. Nord then hit the running Leg Drop and pinned Debeers.
The Briscos/Blade Runners defeat The Valiants/Powers of Pain via elimination at 21:58. In the AWA’s first ever 4 Man Elimination Tag Match, AWA Tag Team Champions the Valiants teamed with the seemingly dominant Powers of Pain. The Briscos teamed with the young Blade Runners. The Valiants laughed and did not appear to give the Blade Runners a second thought. This proved to be costly. Jimmy Valiant was the first eliminated after being pinned by Blade Runner Rock after the Blade Runners hit their Bearhug and Vicious Blow. One half of the tag team champions was already gone. The Warlord and the Barbarian were both eliminated shortly after, once again by the Blade Runners. Johnny Valiant was the only one left. Blade Runner Rock grinned at him as the fans cheered. He hit Valiant with a clubbing blow to the back, press slammed him and then finished him off with the Bearhug/Vicious Blow! Briscos and Blade Runners win the match! This raises some questions though. Which team is the number one contender for the tag titles?

Card #16 Jerry Lawler (c) vs. The Crusher – non title match Ken Patera (c) vs. Jesse Ventura – non title match Powers of Pain vs. The Briscos Announcement from Verne Gagne Curt Hennig vs. Nikita Koloff
Results:
Nikita Koloff defeats Curt Hennig via Russian Sickle at 9:01. The crowd was definitely behind Curt Hennig in this match. Anytime Koloff applied a maneuver or even looked at the crowd, they booed. But Koloff seemed to thrive on this as once he took control, he never gave it up. At one point he threw Curt out of the ring and choke slammed him on the concrete floor. Curt barely made it in to beat the ten count but when he did, Koloff hit the Russian Sickle for the win.
Verne Gagne entered the ring and addressed the crowd concerning the Tag Team Championship. While the Briscos were on the winning team in the 8 Man Tag match from Card #15, it was the Blade Runners who actually pinned the champions. Therefore, at Supercard #2, the Valiants will defend the AWA Tag Team Championship against the Blade Runners!
The Powers of Pain defeat The Briscos via Powerslam/Headbutt at 8:46. The Briscos were disappointed that they were not getting the title shot at Supercard #2 and seemed to be distracted by this as they went into the ring to face the Powers of Pain. Barbarian and Warlord on the other hand were dialed in and just wanted to unleash punishment on the Briscos. They accomplished this goal easily. Jerry never got a chance to tag out as the Powers of Pain cut the ring in half and just pulverized Jerry. Jack tried for a pin save but was cut off by the Warlord as Barbarian made the pin.
Ken Patera defeats Jesse Ventura via Swinging Neckbreaker at 11:48. Patera continues to impress everyone in the AWA. In this non title match against Ventura, he showed why he is the AWA United States Champion. Patera dominated the match. Ventura didn’t seem to hard pressed to win the match. Patera hit the Swinging Neck breaker for the win and then it became evident why Ventura wasn’t in it to win. Hercules stormed the ring and attacked Patera. Ventura joined in! They hit both the Back Breaker Rack and the Body Breaker on Patera and left him laying in the ring. Hercules and Ventura high fived each other and walked to the back to a chorus of boos.
Jerry Lawler defeats the Crusher via Piledriver at 6:59. AWA World champion Jerry Lawler looked impressive in this match. He looked like he was the champion. He used his mat skills to get around Crusher’s brawling attempts. He managed to hit Crusher with the Piledriver and during the three count, had his feet on the ropes for added leverage. Afterwards, Lawler said that Von Erich is going to regret ever wanting a piece of the AWA champion!
