NAWA WRESTLING OUTBURST #21Seattle, WA
Oct. 8, 2119
Konnan def. Hillbilly Jim
This turned into an incredibly epic encounter. An awesome contest saw Konnan dominate the 20 minutes of action, yet each man had chances to win. Konnan got the Zip Lock applied and the submission seconds before the time limit expired.
George Steele & The French Angel def. PG-13
A pair of new teams in the NAWA. PG-13 kept their larger opponents at bay most of the match. The size and strength ended up being the difference. The Animal leveled Wolfie D with a foreign object and Maurice Tillet won the match with the bearhug. For some unknown reason, Bill Dundee came down to the ring to check on PG-13 after the match.
The Southern Boys def. Eddie Gilbert & Buff Bagwell
Tommy Rich and Tracy Smothers were all offense in this one. Eddie Gilbert got hit with all their big moves, the sleeper, Thesz Press and the Jawjacker. Smothers downed Gilbert with a jumping wheel kick as Rich held off Bagwell.
The Kangaroos def. The Killer Bees
Wild Red Berry brings his world renowned tag team into the NAWA after a lengthy stay in Japan, that included their becoming the first ever All-Asia tag team champions. The Bees however were on a roll to start but couldn't put Al Costello away. The Kangaroos went to work. Jim Brunzell made the save following the Boomerang but Roy Heffernan finished off B. Brian Blair with the Marble Bor Leglock.
Ray Stevens def. Bill Dundee by C.O.
Another great back and forth match here on Outburst. These two seemed very evenly matched as both took and gave a beating. Stevens won after a piledriver outside the ring brought him a count out. PG-13 then came out to help Dundee.
The Sheepherders def. The Vachons
Another brutal encounter as these teams don't like each other. The Vachons seriously dominated for a long time. It was the Sheepherders able to come back though and twice they leveled Mad Dog with the double gut buster to get the win.
Frank Gotch def. Rick Rude by D.Q.
This was a really good matchup that saw Rude take Gotch to school if you will. Gotch was down a lot but he kept coming up with reversals and had Rude's leg in a lot trouble. Rude went outside and smashed Gotch with a chair to cause the bell to ring.
Bobby Eaton def. Jimmy Snuka
A huge win for Beautiful Bobby! He really took the fight to the Superfly. Snuka is so tough though he kept battling back. Eaton emerged victorious with the Alabama Jam (Snuka 5 coins). His win was short-lived as Bill Dundee and PG-13 ran out from the back and shockingly attacked Eaton! The trio did their damage before Tommy Rich and Tracy Smothers could stop them.
Mil Mascaras & Dallas Page def. Randy Savage & Rob Van Dam
This was an unbelievable match! The first official in-ring action of the Macho Man Randy Savage. As if his surprise appearance and attack on Mil Mascaras last week wasn't enough, he came to the ring with his new manager Captain Lou Albano!!!
This was truly an all-time classic tag team match. All four men were on top of their game and made key tags, or escaped outside to stay alive. Mascaras finally got a three count on RVD after a crossbody attack.
All hell broke loose after this one though. Jimmy Snuka came out then Harley Race joined the free for all in the ring.
NORTH AMERICAN TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
Don Muraco & Bob Roop (ch) def. The Midnight Express
Jim Cornette, Stan Lane and Dennis Condrey were caught off-guard, like everyone else, when Captain Lou Albano returned to ringside as the new manager of the North American tag team champions.
The Midnights rolled though as Dennis Condrey did whatever he wanted to Bob Roop. They quickly hit the Rocket Launcher and worked Roop over until Muraco made the save after a second Rocket Launcher.
Stan Lane made a mistake on the top rope and Muraco got the tag. He pummeled Lane and dumped him to the floor and nearly won by countout. Muraco used the Asiatic Spike and the Hawaiian Hammer sent Lane down for the three count.
