Card 1.1: Washington DC – National Arena Match 1: Dick Hutton v. Ox Baker Great heat for Baker as he comes to the ring and jars with the fans. Baker dominates the early action in this one with his size advantage and manages to catch Hutton with a HEART PUNCH but Hutton thrills the fans with a last second kick out. The fans are into the match from that point on and Hutton turns things around during a brawl on the floor and eventually puts Baker away with an atomic drop. (*) (Baker 5; Hutton 4)
Match 2: Killer Kowalski v. Johnny Valiant Valiant made are rare singles appearance as part of Legends Championship Wrestling’s debut card against the powerhouse from Windsor, Killer Kowalski. Valiant surprises many at ringside by dominating his larger opponent with timely counters along with brawling and some offense off the buckles. Despite his efforts Valiant cannot get Kowalski’s shoulders on the mat . Kowalski manages to avoid a double hammer at ringside and quickly finishes Valiant with a CLAW HOLD. (dud) (Kowalski 3; Valiant 5)
Match 3: Road Warrior Animal v. King Kong Bundy The crowd is on their feet for the meeting of these two powerhouses. They give the fans all the classic attempts to knock each other off their feet in the opening moments and Bundy succeeds first and drops an elbow drop off ropes onto Animal. This one goes back and forth and gets plenty of time. The pace is plodding as you would expect from these two with big power moves thrown into the mix. Bundy does colour off the ring post and the crowd pops for a POWER SLAM by Animal for a near fall. Bundy sends Animal into the ring post shoulder first and maintains control for the balance of the bout ending it with the five count after an AVALANCHE. Great heat for a bloody King Kong Bundy as he is announced as the winner. (*) ( Animal 5; Bundy 5)
Match 4: Gorgeous George w/Cherie Dupré v. Iron Sheik w/Nikita Breznikov Only the Sheik and his pre-match mic work could make the fans back George. The fans get to Sheik with a USA chant which allows Dupré to distract Sheik and George capitalizes and quickly traps Sheik in a SPINNING TOE HOLD. Sheik escapes. George sets the pace for the most part with Sheik getting in the occasional suplex. Sheik takes over when the match goes to the floor and stuns George with a vertical suplex before loading up his boot and landing a kick to George’s face. As George screams “my face, my face” Sheik covers him for the three count (*) (Sheik 4; George 5)
Match 5: Greg Valentine v. Jimmy Valiant A bit of a shocker in this one as Jimmy Valiant catches Valentine in the corner with a running slingshot and then ends it quickly with a SUPER ELBOW in a huge upset. (dud) (Valentine 5; Valiant 3)
Match 6: Harley Race v. The Sandman Great contrast in introductions as Race comes out to no music and is old school focused while Sandman comes out to “Enter Sandman” and cracks as beer over his skull! Race sets the pace but fails to put his opponent away with an early PILEDRIVER. The story in this one is that Race dominated the action in the ring and Sandman had his moments during brawls on the floor. Race does colour off the ring rails mid way though the match. A bloody Race picks ups several near falls as the tension builds at ringside. Sandman is able to grab the ropes to survive an Indian Deathlock before Race ends it with a PILEDRIVER in the middle of the ring. (***) (Race 2; Sandman 9)
Match 7: The Destroyer v. Nikolai Volkoff w/Nikita Breznikov Volkoff draws solid heat by offering his rendition of the Soviet Anthem before the bell. Great USA chant from the fans with Destroyer stomping along. It is all Destroyer early on a couple of near falls and only a distraction by Breznikov keeps Volkoff from submitting to a single leg Boston Crab. The big Russian turns things around outside the ring sending Destroyer into the post shoulder first. Later, Breznikov gets involved again laying the boots into Destroyer at ringside. A double thrust puts Destroyer down for the three count. (*** ½) (Destroyer 6; Volkoff 7)
Match 8: Ted DiBiase w/Virgil v. Red Bastien DiBiase and Virgil are flashing their cash at ringside drawing great heat before the bell. There is a great pace to this one from the bell with both men exchanging holds. Both men counter each other in back to back deathjump attempts and that slows the action down. DiBiase begins to take control in the ring. Virgil gets into the action working over Bastien at ringside. Bastien manages to survive a pair of MILLION DOLLAR SLEEPERS and the action again returns to the floor. Bastien is counted out of the ring after Virgil decks him with a right hook. Bastien snaps after the bell and takes out DiBiase and Virgil with dropkicks. (**) (DiBiase 2; Bastien 7)
Match 9: Best of Three Falls Bobo Brazil, Jimmy Snuka & Giant Baba v. Buddy Roger, Buddy Rose & Nick Bockwinkel Brazil, Baba & Snuka are out to a huge pop from ringside and take several minutes to greet the fans on their way to the ring. The faces thrill the fans by dominating the action early on. Rose is cut off from his corner for some time and takes a beating from all three of his opponent. Baba’s power is showcased and a boot to the face on Bockwinkel nearly ends the first fall. Rogers turns things around for the heels and Baba gets cut off from his corner for a few minutes but Snuka is eventually able to hot tag into the match and picks up the three count on Bockwinkel with a flying head butt. The second fall gets underway and Rogers tries to get something going but gets cut off from his corner. Rogers survives a COCO BUTT from Brazil and a NECKBREAKER DROP from Baba. Bockwinkel is able to gain control of the action and busts open the Superfly at ringside sending him into the ring post. Bockwinkel mounts the corner for a deathjump but Snuka rolls clear and Bockwinkel crashes to the mat. Snuka quickly hooks the leg for the three count and it is two straight falls for the faces. (Brazil 1; Snuka 3; Baba 3; Rogers 4; Rose 4; Bockwinkel 8) (***)
New and Views: A couple of surprises in the qualifying round of the Title Tournament Qualifying Round with Bundy besting Animal and Handsome Jimmy Valiant getting past Greg Valentine . . . The Destroyer was not pleased following his loss to Nikolai Volkoff blaming the interference of Nikita Breznikov for this defeat. Destroyer had demanded a one on one match with Breznikov but Breznikov wants nothing to do with masked legend. Fans will have to wait and see how the Competition Committee handles this situation . . . Another wrestler upset about outside interference is Red Bastien who has demanded a match of his own against Virgil. It was clear that the interference of Virgil lead directly to Bastien’s count-out against the Million Dollar Man tonight . . . Up next, Legends Championship Wrestling heads to the Auditorium in Banger, ME

Card 1.2: Banger, ME - Auditorium
Match 1 – World Title Tournament: Giant Baba v. Nikolai Volkoff w/ Nikita Breznikov Volkoff draws solid heat with his rendition of the Soviet Anthem. This one is over quickly as both men run the ropes and crash together in the middle of the ring. Volkoff recovers first and ends it with a BACKBREAKER DROP. It looks like Volkoff and Breznikov might go after Baba after the bell but Destroyer arrives and the Russians think twice and return to the back. (Baba 3; Volkoff 4) (dud)
Match 2 – World Title Tournament: Bobo Brazil v. Ted DiBiase w/Virgil The fans greet Brazil with a monster ovation. DiBiase tries to pay off Brazil who responds by slapping the cash out of DiBiase’s hand and we are underway. DiBiase dominates the early action targeting Brazil’s neck with four consecutive swinging neckbreakers at one point. Brazil is able to gain control outside the ring and Virgil gets a COCO BUTT for his trouble when he tries to interfere. Later, Virgil is able to save DiBiase from defeat after a Bobo body slam attacking Brazil with a running tackle. The referee lets the action continue but DiBiase is not able to capitalize on his opportunity as Brazil catches him mounting the corner and tosses him to the mat. Brazil ends it with a COCO BUTT. (Brazil 1; DiBiase 8) (***)
Match 3 – World Title Tournament: Harley Race v. Road Warrior Hawk The crowd was still buzzing after the last match so there is great energy at the start of this contest. Race controlled the action in this one. Hawk reached the ropes to escape an Indian Deathlock and later kicked out of a PILEDRIVER at the last second. Hawk finally catches a break when he rolls clear of a deathjump attempt leading to a 2 count. The advantage is short lived as Race quickly regains control of the bout. The referee tries to break up a brawl on the floor and Race catches the official with a punch that leads to a disqualification. Hawk is onto the next round and Race is not happy with the official. (Race 3; Hawk 6) (** ½)
Match 4 – World Title Tournament: Buddy Rogers v. Jimmy Valiant The fans cannot stand either one of these competitors but Roger’s arrogance gets slightly more heat. Rogers wastes no time taking over the action and quickly has Valiant’s shoulder on the mat with a cross body block deathjump that wows the fans and gets a two count. Rogers follows with an atomic drop and that is the end of the road for Valiant. (Rogers 1; Valiant 5) (dud)
Match 5 – World Title Tournament: Jimmy Snuka v. Iron Sheik w/Nikita Breznikov Sheik tells us what he thinks of the United States drawing huge heat before Snuka is greeted by the fans with a monster ovation. Snuka holds the advantage for the most part with Sheik trying to find a way to slow down Snuka’s offence finding some success with a series of Boston Crabs. Sheik does colour off the ring rails mid-way through the contest. There is great spot where Snuka leaps over the ropes onto both Sheik and Breznikov at ringside. The action continues but Snuka in control but he cannot find a way to pin the Sheik. Snuka sends Sheik face first into the rails a second time and it costs him the bout by disqualification. Snuka is fired up after the bell and chases Breznikov and Sheik to the back. (Snuka 3; Sheik 5). (**)
Match 6 – World Title Tournament: Frank Gotch v. King Kong Bundy Last card, Bundy showed he could handle a powerhouse like himself when he bested Road Warrior Animal but how would Bundy handle a technically sound grappler like Gotch. Even better, who would Gotch handle a man over twice his size. The match unfolded much like you would think with Gotch maintaining control when he was able to keep his distance from Bundy or get him to the mat. Bundy controlled with his power moves in close range including a lengthy bear hug that nearly makes Gotch submit. The end came when Gotch ducked a short clothesline and countered with back to back Iowa backdrops for the win. (Gotch 2; Bundy 5) (*)
Match 7 – World Title Tournament: Killer Kowalski v. Johnny Valentine Kowalski draws great heat as he comes to the ring. The fans were hoping from a lengthy battle between two of the federations toughest competitors but were disappointed when this one ended quickly. Valentine survives Kowalski’s early attack and used an abdominal stretch to set up an ATOMIC SKULLCRUSHER for the win. (Kowalski 5; Valentine 1) (dud)
Match 8 – World Title Tournament: Dick Hutton v. Nick Bockwinkel The fans are all over Bockwinkel as he makes his way to the ring as the tournament’s top seed. Hutton matches up well physically with Bockwinkel and turned some heads last card with a win over Ox Baker. This one opens with a great spot with Hutton backdropping Bockwinkel over the corner to the floor. Hutton comes outside to carry on his attack against Bockwinkel but Bockwinkel rams a chair into Hutton’s midsection. The referee calls for the disqualification and this one is over before it really even starts. The top seed of the tournament is out! (Bockwinkel 3; Hutton 3) (dud)
News and Views: A disappointing night in the ring with plenty of duds. However, the upsets in the World Title Tournament continued with two seeded competitors (top seed Nick Bockwinkel and number 6 seed Giant Baba) leaving the tournament . . . The tension between The Destroyer and the Russians continues to build. It now looks as if Giant Baba will join forces with the Destroyer reuniting the successful team from Japan against Nikolai Volkoff & Nikita Breznikov . . . Up next, we head to North Attleboro, MA

I really like your first two events for your LCW, it'll be fun to see how things unfold from here on out...
Dick Hutton is taking names like Ox Baker & Nick Bockwinkel and putting them out of the Tournament, very cool...
Loved Gorgeous George screaming "My Face", but too bad he had to lose to the Iron Sheik...
Speaking of the Iron Sheik, Volkoff & Breznikov who are just pissing people off in the LCW, a very cool thing for sure...

Card 1.3: North Attleboro, MA – Auditorium
Match 1: Ox Baker v. Greg Valentine Both men are classically heels so the fans are split during the introductions but seem to favour Valentine. Plenty of brawling in this one with Valentine during colour off the ring post. The action goes to the floor and Valentine cracks Baker with a chair across the back and is disqualified. (Valentine 5; Baker 4) (*)
Match 2: Gorgeous George & Playboy Buddy Rose w/Cherie Dupré v. Team Extreme The long intro for George & Rose draws great heat. The Sandman & Jimmy Snuka are out to a huge pop. After a lengthy delay, George finally gets into the ring against the Sandman and picks up a near fall with an airplane spin and then score the three count with a small package with the tights. (George 2; Rose 3; Sandman 5; Snuka 2) (dud)
Match 3: The Destroyer & Giant Baba v. The Valiant Brothers The Valiant Brothers draw solid heat from the fans at ringside. The Valiants cannot do anything to counter Baba’s size but manage to cut off Destroyer from his corner and stun him with a double clothesline. Jimmy Valiant puts Destroyer away with a fist drop (Destroyer 4; Baba 2; Johnny Valiant 4; Jimmy Valiant 3) (*)
Match 4: Ted DiBiase w/Virgil v. Red Bastien DiBiase draws great heat as he comes to the ring telling the fans that everyone has a price for the Million Dollar Man. The action is closely contested with both men having moments in control. DiBiase best weapon is the vertical suplex which leads to a couple of near falls and eventually sets up a MILLION DOLLAR SLEEPER which puts Bastien away. After the match, DiBiase gets a wad of cash and shoves it in Bastien’s mouth before slapping him awake and leaving the ring to a chorus of boos (DiBiase 2; Bastien 5) (* ½)
Match 5: World Title Tournament – Johnny Valentine v. Dick Hutton Valentine is the early aggressor and nearly puts away Hutton with an ATOMIC SKULLCRUSHER in the opening minutes of the contest. Things even out from that point with both men showing the can counterwrestle. Hutton is able to pick up a near fall with a roll up after Valentine crashes into the corner chest first. Valentine does colour off the ring rails mid-way through the match. A bloody Valentine misses a deathjump when Hutton rolls clear leading to a very near fall. The fans are really into the action. Valentine takes a nasty spill at ringside when Hutton backdrops him over the corner. Hutton follows Valentine outside and Valentine rams him face first into the rails busting Hutton open and earning a disqualification. The fans are not happy and neither is Valentine who grabs a chair to finish Hutton off but Hutton turns thing around and clocks Valentine with the chair leaving him dazed on the floor. (Valentine 3; Hutton 5) (** ½)
Match 6: World Title Tournament – Frank Gotch .v. Iron Sheik w/Nikita Breznikov Sheik tells the fans that he does not think too highly of their country and the fans cannot wait for Gotch to destroy Sheik. Both these men know how to hurt you so this was intense from the outset. Gotch survives an early CAMEL CLUTCH and turns things around by sending Sheik shoulder first into the ring post. The referee lets them continue and the action goes back and forth. Sheik unleashes various suplexes and Gotch counters with a solid mat attack. Plenty of USA Chants that drive Sheik crazy. Breznikov interferes to save Sheik from a GOTCH TOE HOLD and Sheik is able to take advantage with a GOTCH TOE HOLD but his shoulder gives away and he cannot maintain the hold long enough to get the submission. Gotch regains control with a figure four leg lock (ch) and then advances to the semi-finals with a GOTCH TOE HOLD. (Gotch 5; Sheik 7) (**** ½)
Match 7: Bobo Brazil v. Nikolai Volkoff w/Nikita Breznikov The ovation for Brazil is off the charts. Great USA to get things going in this one. Plenty of power move challenges early on as you would expect from these two men. Brazil nearly ends with a COCO BUTT out of nowhere and then shows some agility with a cross body block off the top of the corner for another near fall. Volkolff battles back and at one point nearly knocks out Brazil’s teeth with a big boot to the face. The fans get behind Brazil and he responds downing Volkoff with a COCO BUTT but Breznikov distracts Brazil. Moments later, another COCO BUTT drops Volkoff but Iron Sheik hits the ring before Brazil can get the three count and attacks Brazil. The bell sounds and Volkoff has been disqualified. Brazil quickly recovers and clears the ring with COCO BUTTS Volkoff, Sheik and then Breznikov which leaves the fans roaring for more. (Brazil 1; Volkoff 7) (**)
Match 8: Buddy Rogers v. Road Warrior Hawk The fans give Hawk a great ovation as he storms the ring and sends the Nature Boy fleeing to ringside. Rogers is very cautious to start things off and uses a series of headlocks on the Road Warrior. The fans wait patiently for something to happen and Rogers turns things up with a series of dropkicks and then climbs the corner for a deathjump forearm that tangles Hawk in the ropes. Rogers goes to work on his trapped opponent and when the referee steps in, Rogers shoves the official to the mat and is disqualified. The fans hate the decision but Rogers keeps hammering on Hawk’s leg until Road Warrior Animal charges the ring and breaks up the attack. (Rogers 1; Hawk 2) (dud)
News and views: Dick Hutton is the last qualifier remaining in the World Title Tournament after his second disqualification win put him into the semi-finals . . . Johnny Valentine was injured in his post match altercation with Dick Hutton but is not expected to miss any action . . . Road Warrior Hawk has made it to the semi-finals of the World Title Tournament and this has caused some turmoil for promoters as it appears that the Road Warriors will be withdrawing from the Tag Team Title Tournament set to begin next card. Rumour has it that Road Warrior Animal was not pleased about the situation but remarked that they knew that this would be a possibility when they signed up for the World Title Tournament adding that Hawk will lay waste to the remaining competitors and become the first LCW World Champion. Up next, we head to Weirton, WV.

It may have been a DUD of a match, but it's good to see George&Rose win over Snuka&Sandman...
Dick Hutton is very lucky with DQ's victories, but I'm pulling for him to win it all...
Overall another good event and it'll be interesting to see who wins the World Title...

Card 1.4: Weirton, WV - Millsap Community Centre
Match 1: World Tag Team Title Tournament - Jimmy & Johnny Valiant v. Team Extreme Great reaction for Team Extreme as he comes to the ring. The Sandman cracks a cold one on his head the fans eat it up. Johnny Valiant looks good against Jimmy Snuka early on and then Jimmy Valiant and Sandman take things outside and tear up ringside. Sandman breaks out his SINGAPORE CANE and is disqualified. The Valiant Brothers quickly bail from ringside. Superfly is not pleased with the result and questions Sandman’s actions. (Jimmy V 3; Johnny V 4; Snuka 3; Sandman 3). (dud)
Match 2: World Tag Team Title Tournament - Giant Baba & The Destroyer v. King Kong Bundy & Killer Kowalski Bundy & Kowalski are invited to compete in the tournament when the Road Warriors withdraw to allow Hawk to continue his run in the World Title Tournament. The crowd is into the exchange between the two superheavyweights Baba and Bundy while Destroyer shows he can hold his own against larger opponents while he is in the ring. The Japanese team is never really threatened by the impromptu tandem of Bundy and Kowalski and Baba ends the lengthy but uneventful contest with a Russian legsweep on Bundy. (Baba 2; Destroyer 2; Bundy 7; Kowalski 3) *
Match 3: World Tag Team Title Tournament - Greg & Johnny Valentine v. Virgil & Ted DiBiase Great heat for DiBiase who pays a fan to polish his boots before the bell. Rumours persist that Johnny Valentine is still feeling the effect of the chair shot he took in his bout with Dick Hutton last card. It is clear that DiBiase’s plan is to focus the attack on Johnny Valentine and he succeeds early on. Valentine escapes a MILLION DOLLAR SLEEPER before the match spills to the floor where DiBiase rams Valentine face first into the steel ring rails busting Valentine wide open and causing a disqualification . (Johnny Valentine 3; Greg Valentine 4; Virgil 4; DiBiase 2) (dud)
Match 4: World Tag Team Title Tournament - Foreign Legion w/Nikita Breznikov v. Gorgeous George & Playboy Buddy Rose w/Cherie Dupré Great heat for both teams during their introduction but it is clear that the fans hate Breznikov and his team a bit more. Iron Sheik bested George in the opening round of the World Title Tournament and George was looking for some payback. This one gets some time and is closely contested. Rose does sick colour when Sheik loads his boot up but is able to avoid Volkoff’s leg drop and tag out before collapsing at ringside leaving George alone against the Foreign Legion. George looks impressive against Nikolai Volkoff and Sheik saves his partner from a SPINNING TOEHOLD. However, the Foreign Legion then unleashes a vicious double team beat down on George and are disqualified when they refuse to stop. Rose and George are onto the next round but what condition will they be in? (Rose 6; George 4; Sheik 2; Volkoff 5) (** ½)
Match 5: World Tag Team Title Tournament - Johnny & Jimmy Valiant v. The Destroyer & Giant Baba Last card the Valiant Brothers bested the team for Japan without much difficulty and were confident heading into the match but that confidence soon evaporated as Baba & Destroyer simply outclasses the Valiant Brothers from the outset of this one. At one point Baba executes three consecutive vertical suplexes on Jimmy Valiant that has the crowd roaring. Johnny Valiant saves his partner from the Destroyer’s FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK and the Valiant are on the defensive for most of the bout. Baba crushes Johnny Valiant with a piledriver and looks to have the pin but Jimmy Valiant attacks Baba with a series of stomps and then breaks out the brass knuckles and decks Destroyer. The Valiant Brothers double up on Baba and are disqualified. The referee steps in and Jimmy Valiant decks the official leaving his old cold in the ring as officials and security arrive to break up the attack. (Johnny Valiant 8; Jimmy Valiant 4; Giant Baba 3; Destroyer 3). ( * ½)
Match 6: World Tag Team Title Tournament - Greg & Johnny Valentine v. Playboy Buddy Rose & Gorgeous George w/Cherie Dupré Both Johnny Valentine & Buddy Rose are bandaged up as they make their way to the ring. Both teams make quick tags in an effort to end this match as early as possible. The result is a stalemate. Johnny Valentine traps Rose in an abdominal stretch that turns the tide and George has to save his partner from the hold. Greg Valentine tags in with a punishing full nelson suplex (ch) and then ends it with a FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK (George 4; Rose 7; G Valentine 5; J Valentine 3) (* ½)
Match 7: World Title Tournament – Dick Hutton v. Frank Gotch Hutton has had a very fortunate run so far in the tournament with a pair of disqualification victories that saw him advance over the number one seed Nick Bockwinkle and number eight seed Johnny Valentine. Would his luck continue against Frank Gotch? A Handshake starts the action. Hutton looks impressive early on countering a backdrop with a piledriver and then immediately picking up a two count with an Oklahoma Sideroll. Hutton tosses Gotch to the floor and a frustrated Gotch trips up Hutton from the floor and rams his leg off the ring post. The referee calls for the disqualification and Hutton has done it again. Hutton is onto the finals advancing once again by disqualification. Gotch is clearly not impressed with the referee and refuses to shake Hutton’s hand after the bell drawing heat from ringside. (Hutton 3; Gotch 2) (dud)
Match 8: Road Warrior Hawk v. Bobo Brazil Brazil is out to a great pop and he takes several minutes to greet the fans at ringside. The fans expect nothing but power between these two but it is Hawk’s agility that gives him an early advantage. The action spills in and out of the ring. Hawk is the aggressor and he sends Brazil into the ring post shoulder first. The referee lets them battle it out. Later, Hawk grabs a chair at ringside and looks like is going to deck Brazil but Brazil wrestles the chair away and lays out Hawk outside the ring. The bell sounds and the referee has disqualified Brazil. Hawk is into to the finals against Dick Hutton next card! The fans are not pleased with yet another disqualification finish and fill the ring with trash. (Brazil 2; Hawk 3) (* ½)
News and Views: To put it bluntly, probably the worst card I have ever played out. 8 matches, 6 DQs. Average match rating was a 1 of 5. Total crap. On top of that, Road Warrior Hawk will meet Dick Hutton in the finals of the tournament to determine my first World Champion. Not exactly the marquee match I had hoped for. If Hawk wins, and he will likely eat Hutton for breakfast, what happens to the Road Warriors? Hutton has backed his way into the finals and if he takes home the title, I have a champion with no credit. Sometimes the dice are cruel.
