@ CC Thanks for reading. There was a lot of fun stuff on the card. Snuka and Orton is quickly becoming my favourite match to play out.
@ vx thank you for the feedback. No cage match yet. I usually reserve cage bouts to blow off major feuds. There will definitely be a rematch on card 2.19. Depending on what happens in that match we could see a blow off on card 2.20. Perhaps a best of three falls match or Iron Man match.

The card in Bangor was great, Bookerbill, and I agree Orton vs. Snuka sounded like a good one. Mil Mascaras heeling it up to retain against The Destroyer was real interesting. Johnny Valentine got some awesome revenge against Gorgeous George, wow was that ever a beating. It also looks like both the Valiant's and Foreign Legion are back in line for a tag title shot. Looking forward to the next show.

Card 2.18: Springfield, MA - Auditorium
Match 1: The Sandman v. Koko B. Ware The Birdman has the fans dancing to get the night started. An entertaining opener that moves at a quick pace. Sandman struggles early with Ware’s speed but gains control on the floor. Both men hit their finishers twice but cannot get the win. Ware’s speed gets him out of trouble on the floor and he ends it with a spinning neckbreak (ch) for the pin. (Sandman 7; Ware 6) ***
Match 2: Foreign Legion w/Nikita Breznikov v. Red Bastien & Frank Gotch Gotch and Bastien spent some time teaming together last season but this is the first time they have joined forces this season. This one was an epic battle that Gotch and Bastien controlled for the most part. Gotch is a stand out from the opening bell. Nikolai Volkoff gets cut off from his partner but Iron Sheik saves him from a GOTCH TOE HOLD. Gotch does nasty colour off of Sheik’s boots. Volkoff saves Sheik from a GOTCH TOE HOLD. Breznikov plays a big role in keeping his team in the bout causing a key distraction and later interfering in the match saving Sheik from a GOTCH TOE HOLD. The end comes when Gotch uses back to back rolling kneebars on Sheik for the submission win (Gotch 2; Bastien; Sheik 11; Volkoff 6) *****
Match 3: Killer Bees v. Midnight Express w/Jim Cornette & Mr. Jonathan Both teams are desperate to get back on track and put together some wins. The Bees have yet to be able to beat the Express in their two previous meeting this season and are looking for a better result tonight. Things do not start well for the Bees as Jim Brunzell gets cut off by the Express. Stan Lane nearly ends it after a SUPERKICK. B. Brian Blair saves his partner from a Double Goozle. Brunzell catches a break on the floor and whips Bobby Eaton into the ring post. Blair tags in and immediately traps Eaton in a SLEEPPER but Eaton is able to escape. The Bees follow with BEE STING. Blair take out Lane and Brunzell makes the cover for a huge win. (Eaton 5; Lane 3; Blair 4; Brunzell 7) ***
Match 4: Giant Baba v. Harley Race Last card Race was able to escape the Japanese Giant with a disqualification win. Both men go move for move in this one from the opening bell without taking a step backward. Race is able to kick out of a NECKBREAKER DROP but as the match unfolds it is clear that Baba is the better man tonight and he ends it with a Baba Chop. (Race 5; Baba 4) ** ½
Match 5: Mr. Jonathan w/Jim Cornette v. Bobo Brazil The crowd is on their feet for Brazil and he takes several minutes to greet his fans at ringside. The fans are all over Cornette at ringside. It is all Jonathan from the opening bell. The action spills to the floor and both men brawl around ringside until Jonathan smashes Brazil with a Cornette’s tennis racket and is disqualified. The fight continues after the bell with both men trading blows back to the dressing room. (Jonathan 2; Brazil 1) dud
Match 6: Jimmy Snuka v. Cowboy Bob Orton The recent series of matches between these two have been very intense and the fans can feel that same intensity in the air as both men are introduced. Huge pop for Snuka. The Superfly will not be denied tonight and he dominates the action from the opening bell. A powerslam sets up a SUPERFLY LEAP and the match is over quickly. Orton has one offensive move the entire match. The fans could not be happier. (Snuka 3; Orton 5) *
Match 7: Johnny Valentine v. Greg Valentine w/Captain Lou Albano Finally… It was on the last card of season one that Greg Valentine turned on his father and the fans have waited 17 cards for Johnny Valentine to get his son one on one in the ring. Greg Valentine gets the early advantage with a series of punches and nearly steals a win with a roll up in the corner. Johnny Valentine catches Greg Valentine climbing the corner and tosses him to the mat. Johnny Valentine follows with an ATOMIC SKULLCRUSHER for the win. Albano is not happy at ringside but the fans roar with approval. (Johnny V 2; Greg V 5) *
Match 8: World Tag Team Title Match: Road Warriors (ch) v. Jimmy & Johnny Valiant The last time the Valiant Brothers were in the ring with Hawk and Animal they had no offensive what so ever in the match. Tonight was a different story. The Warriors looked to be on their way to another win but Johnny Valiant was able to start a wild brawl after the Warriors connected with a DOOMSDAY DEVICE on Jimmy Valiant. Albano joined the action and the momentum turned with the Valiant Brothers in control. Animal is busted open at ringside by Johnny Valiant. Hawk survives a SUPER ELBOW by Jimmy Valiant. The action ends on the floor when Johnny Valiant is disqualified for ramming Animal into the ring post. Hawk is the victim of a brief three on one attack but Animal is able to recover and clears the ring with the assistance of a steel chair. (Jimmy V 5; Johnny V 5; Animal 4; Hawk 4) ** ½
News & Views: After gaining bloody revenge on Playboy Buddy Rose and Gorgeous George, Johnny Valentine finally had a chance to get at his son one on one can came away with a victory. Valentine has promised to run the Hammer out of Legends Championship Wrestling . . . Rumour has it that promoters are attempting to sign a speciality match between Mr. Jonathan and Bobo Brazil but Jim Cornette has been resisting. It is clear both men want to get into the ring with each other as soon as possible . . . The Foreign Legion was supposed to have a tune up match before they claimed their spot atop the tag team contenders list but ended up in the battle of the lives dropping a big match to the tandem of Frank Gotch & Red Bastien . . . After dropping four decisions in a row, the Bees pick up a win over the Midnight Express . . . Superfly gets a big win tonight . . . Koko B. Ware continues to look impressive as he climbs to near the top of the rankings . . . Road Warriors continue to roll as Tag Team Champions but it appears the Valiant Brothers have finally gotten under their skin.

A very interesting card where the show starts off on Fire if you will and then fizzles starting with the Baba Race match. Wow! The match between the Foreign Legion and Bastien & Gotch looked like a Fun match to roll and I'm glad Red & Frank won. I also like Koko B.Ware and the Killer Bees winning their respective matches. A nice Big Victory for the Bee's and I think those two are good at those upsets. I did like the Chaos between the Valiants & Road Warriors, but too bad the Valiants failed to win the Gold...

Great action in Springfield, Bookerbill. I was hoping to see the Valiant's come away with the tag titles but at least they gave the Road Warriors a run for their money. A huge win for Frank Gotch & Red Bastien over the Foreign Legion. Could Gotch & Bastien become a tag title threat? Johnny Valentine is on a real roll and once he is done getting revenge I would like to see him go after the world title. I love that Koko B. Ware keeps coming up with big wins. He has had moderate success for me so it's nice to see him doing so well in your fed. Looking forward to the next show.

Thanks for following the action CC and Crue.
I would love to have Johnny Valentine come out on top and go for the gold. That would be a great way to finish out the year for sure.

Thank for the pics Crue. 5 out of 8 is pretty good. You never know what the dice will do...
Card 2.19: White Plains, NY, Westchester County Civic Center
Match 1: Foreign Legion w/Nikita Breznikov v. Frank Gotch & Red Bastien The Legion members draw fantastic heat before the bell. Nikolai Volkoff sings and Iron Sheik rants. Gotch & Bastien picked up a big win over the Legion last card and are looking to do the same tonight. Gotch and Bastien look impressive early. Sheik leads his team back and gets the advantage on Gotch. Gotch gets tangled into the ropes and Sheik attacks him. The referee steps in and Sheik shoves him to the mat and earns a disqualification. The attack continues but Bastien grabs a chair and clears the ring saving Gotch from injury. (Sheik 2; Volkoff 4; Gotch 3; Bastien 2) *
Match 2: Dick Hutton v. Sabu The lights go out and Sabu makes his first appearance since coming up short in his feud against the Sandman in the Boston Garden. Hutton uses his power to gain the brief advantage and then takes Sabu outside. Both men tear up ringside and the referee loses control calling for a double disqualification. Sabu decks the official and then Hutton kicks the referee when he is down for good measure. Both men brawl to the back. (Hutton 3; Sabu 2) dud
Match 3: Killer Bees v. Midnight Express w/Jim Cornette & Mr. Jonathan The Killer Bees are coming off a huge win over the Express last card and Cornette demanded an immediate rematch. The Express cut off Jim Brunzell from his corner and Brunzell takes a serious beating. B. Brian Blair saves Brunzell after a ROCKET LAUNCHER. Blair is able to hot tag into the action but the Bees cannot put Stan Lane away with a BEE STING. Brunzell eats the ring post and his busted open. Lane comes off the top rope with a crossbody block deathjump for the win. (Brunzell 8; Blair 4; Eaton 3; Lane 4) ** ½
Match 4: Koko B. Ware v. Nick Bockwinkel Ware has the fans on their feet and dancing as he comes to the ring. Bockwinkel just stands in the corner and shakes his head. The action in the ring is dominated by Bockwinkel but when things spill to the floor the Birdman comes to life and goes toe to toe with Bockwinkel. Bockwinkel weathers the storm the first time outside but the second time Ware is on fire. The official comes out to get both men back inside and Ware comes off the buckles with a double hammer but Bockwinkel pulls Ware into the path of the official and Ware takes out the referee. The official lands in front of the timekeeper and weakly calls for the disqualification. Bockwinkel is your winner. Both men brawl to the back. (Ware 5; Bockwinkel 3) dud
Match 5: Road Warrior Hawk w/Road Warrior Animal v. Jimmy Valiant w/Johnny Valiant & Captain Lou Albano This one is all Hawk from the opening bell. Hawk rocks ringside with back to back gorilla press slams and then puts Valiant away with a FLYING CLOTHESLINE. (Hawk 2; Valiant 5) *
Match 6: Greg Valentine w/Captain Lou Albano v. Johnny Valentine The crowd is on edge during the introductions of both men. Johnny Valentine controls the early action with a mix of holds and brawling. The Hammer takes over on the floor. Valentine bloodies his father during another brawl on the floor. Johnny Valentine draws on the crowd and makes a comeback trapping his son in an abdominal stretch that almost wins it. However, Johnny Valentine is losing a lot of blood and slows down allowing the Hammer to strike from the top rope for a near fall before trapping Valentine in a FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK. Johnny Valentine passes out and Greg Valentine is your winner (G. Valentine 5; J. Valentine 4) **
Match 7: Cowboy Bob Orton, Harley Race & Mr. Jonathan w/Jim Cornette v. Giant Baba, Jimmy Snuka & Bobo Brazil. Race is not happy having Cornette at ringside and nearly comes to blows with Jonathan when he gets in Cornette’s face. The ovation for the faces blows the roof off the Civic Center. This match has great action from the outset. The fans get all the marquee matchups during the bout including a long battle between Brazil and Jonathan. Baba meets Jonathan in a battle of the giants and on a distraction by Cornette keeps the match going after a NECKBREAKER DROP. The action goes back and forth and Race bloodies Brazil at ringside running him into the rails. Orton tags in but Brazil blocks a double hammer on the floor. Snuka hot tags in and finishes Orton with a flying headbutt. (Jonathan 4; Orton 6; Race 2; Baba 3; Brazil 3; Snuka 3) *** ½
Match 8: World Title Match – Mil Mascaras (ch) v. The Destroyer The fans are still buzzing after the last match but the electricity only grows as Destroyer makes his way to the ring followed by the World Champion. Handshake gets us underway. Both men have the same game plan and that is to get the win early and get out. Mascaras picks a series of near falls with CROSSBODY ATTACKS and Destroyer slows things down with a single leg Boston Crab and a FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK. The action finally slows down and Mascaras dominates the action with a mix of mat skills and highflying moves. A CROSSBODY ATTACK ends it and Mascaras retains. A handshake ends the contest. (Mascaras 4; Destroyer 7) ****
News & Views: Koko B. Ware’s streak came to an end tonight but not without controversy. The Birdman is looking for a rematch with the always dangerous Nick Bockwinkel . . . Greg Valentine got the best of the his father tonight but this conflict is far from over . . . Frank Gotch & Red Bastien are on the verge of a full blown feud with the Foreign Legion . . . Sabu and Hutton have earned themselves suspensions for their attack on the referee at the conclusion of their match tonight. Sabu will be gone for one card and Hutton for 2 . . . World Champion Mil Mascaras appears to have moved past the challenge of the former champion The Destroyer. Who will be his next contender?

I really liked both Sabu & Dick Hutton hitting the referee and earning a suspension each. Mil Mascaras moving on from facing the Destroyer is a good thing and I'm looking to see who he'll face next. That 6 man tag team match was wild and I was pulling for Orton, Race & Johnathan, but seeing Race bust open Brazil is all good. I'm enjoying the Koko B.Ware push and it'll be fun to see what he can do versus Nick Bockwinkel...
