Friends,
Yes, I know you guys are probably saying, "WTF? How many threads will you create, Dustin Neal?" I understand. I'm in a format crises. Also, I simply do not have the time to write these huge, colorful shows with script dialogue. Sorry! I just got married and I would rather spend more time playing than writing, especially if I want to catch up one day, and I don't want to take away from the wife. Therefore, I'm just going to keep my shows basic with enough content to keep the flow together. I think you'll enjoy what I've played/written so far. I know Old Skewl is going to love where I'm taking Mutant. Anyway, after reading Mondello's GWF, I got the urge to let the writing do the talking, not all the bells and whistles.
, Dustin Neal

GWF Friday Night Fury #1 Intergalactic Grand Grotto
1. Comrade Terror defeated Mutant via DQ ~ Mutant started out pounding away at Comrade Terror. However, Mutant got carried away outside the ring with an electrical cord, whipping Comrade Terror like a redheaded stepchild. Therefore, the referee had no choice but to disqualify him. Obviously, Mutant didn’t seem to care that he wouldn’t be wearing the GWF Heavyweight Championship anytime soon. The fans, oddly enough, cheered for Mutant as he growled into the microphone, refusing to leave the ring.
2. Commander Sam defeated Ghengis Khan via Peacemaker Slingshot ~ It was a steady back and forth match between these two fighters, but Sam was obviously struggling in the ring midway through. However, even at his old age, the American Warhorse proved to be the stronger man when he finished off Khan with his Peacemaker Slingshot. After the match, Khan really gave it to the referee verbally; however, he eventually just gave up and left without any further incident.
- Backstage, Thantos tells Comrade Terror, “Just remember the plan.”
3. Wolf defeated Executioner via Running Clothesline ~ Honestly, this wasn’t much of a battle for Wolf. He showed he was here to win. He didn’t have to apply the SAVAGE FACE CLAW. He didn’t even have to break a sweat. It was all bite and no growl from the lone fan favorite. After the match, however, Wolf applied the SAVAGE FACE CLAW on Executioner just to make a statement, and it was a powerful one!
- Backstage, Death Knight, Exo-King, and Killer Queen exit Comrade Terror‘s locker room.
4. Thantos defeated Pulsar via MASTERLOCK ~ Thantos came to the ring escorted by Comrade Terror, “the Ultimate Weapon” as he likes to call him. Terror eyed Pulsar throughout the whole match but didn’t have to do a thing; Thantos arrogantly toyed with Pulsar until unleashing a beating. After the winning submission, Comrade Terror entered the ring and nailed Pulsar with an ATOMIC WARHEAD. “It’s sad to see how weak these Titians truly are,” Thantos told Terror and the fans.
5. Pit Viper defeated Killer Queen via VENOM BLAST ~ Killer Queen almost got past Pit Viper by forcing his shoulder to the canvas and using the ropes for leverage, but Pit Viper kicked out amazingly. After couple of VENOM BLASTS, the job got done. After the match, Killer Queen really set the fans off as he kept trying to prove that Pit Viper cheated his way to a victory. Eventually, Killer Queen left the ring with a chorus of boos behind him!
- Backstage, Star Warrior is with Omega preparing for his match against Exo-King.
6. Lord Nexus defeated Vanity via TITAN DROP ~ Nexus didn't really have to break a sweat here, and Vanity proved to be no match for the Titan. Angered by what had happened earlier to his friend and teammate, Pulsar, Lord Nexus hit the ring and quickly finished off the flamboyant Vanity with a TITAN DROP. Vanity, much like Killer Queen, grabbed the microphone and told everyone that Nexus cheated. Nexus smirked and delivered another TITAN DROP, proclaiming boldly, “Titans are not weak, Thantos!”
7. Massif defeated Kraken via DQ ~ Massif and Kraken brawled into a heavy encounter outside of the ring; however, Massif got the win after Kraken hit him with a steel chair. This match seemed to never get going; both men couldn't get in the ring for the bell to sound. However, as soon as it started, Kraken found himself disqualified. “The Society of Death ought to rethink their strategy,” Massif told the crowd. “Mutant and Kraken can’t seem to get it through their thick skulls that you have to win a match honorably to become the GWF Heavyweight Champion. However, sometimes you just get beat, right Khan?” The crowd roared with laughter as Massif dropped the microphone.
- Backstage, Thantos rounds his men up. “It’s not over. We still have work to do.”
8. Star Warrior defeated Exo-King via NOVA LAUNCH ~ The final match of the night saw Star Warrior and Exo-King give the fans a top notch battle of back and forth brawling, but it was an amazing NOVA LAUNCH that got Star Warrior the win. The fans went wild when their hero proved to Exo-King that nothing would step in his way of the GWF Heavyweight Championship. Suddenly, Thantos and all his men come out and circle the ring. Omega, Massif, Commander Sam, and Lord Nexus ran out and stood in Star Warrior’s defense as the show went off the air.

GWF Friday Night Fury #2 Intergalactic Grand Grotto
1. Comrade Terror defeated Commander Sam via Terror Face Claw ~This feud seems to really be picking up as both men brawled with hatred in their hearts. Sam gave it all he had with his fists and strength, but he ended up losing after a handful of illegal tactics and the nasty submission move, the Terror Face Claw. Sam was irate that Terror wasn’t disqualified for all the low blows, eye pokes, and illegal chokes but, ultimately, the American Warhorse kept his composure. Sam and Terror then brawled to the back after the match!
- Backstage, Wolf watches a replay of Comrade Terror’s finish and smirks.
2. Wolf defeated Lord Nexus via SAVAGE FACE CLAW ~ Nexus extended his hand to the lone Wolf, but Wolf only wanted to fight, and he proved that he's not here to make friends. Wolf left the Titan passed out in the ring! The fans still, however, cheered both men. The camera followed Wolf to Comrade Terror’s locker room where he got nose-to-nose with Thantos’ “Ultimate Weapon.” Wolf growled, “That’s a real face claw you just saw.”
3. Thantos defeated Pit Viper via Satanic Skull Smasher ~ Thantos, after what he did to Pulsar last week, showed that he had the same plan again. Pit Viper gave a stronger fight than his teammate, but he quickly fell prey to the Satanic Skull Smasher. After the match, Comrade Terror came to the ring and both vile men delivered a double deathjump to injure Pit Viper for three weeks. “What do you have to say now, Nexus?” Thantos yelled into the microphone.
4. Star Warrior defeated Massif via Reverse Piledriver ~ Star Warrior and Massif gave the fans a strong, technical, honorable match, but Star Warrior won with a last ditch move in the Reverse Piledriver. Honestly, Massif could have won at any moment; both men gave their all, but it was Star Warrior that got the finish touch in on Massif to push him further in the annual GalactiCup.
- Thantos leads his men into his locker room. “The plan is still intact.”
5. Comrade Terror defeated Wolf via ATOMIC WAREHEAD ~ Wolf came to the ring all banged up, apparently the doing of Thantos’ men. It took a lot of underhanded attacks to put Wolf down, and it took more than one ATOMIC WARHEAD! Thantos stood at the entrance ramp with a huge smile on his face; his plan was working! After the match, Wolf had to be apprehended because he went wild, losing all control of his thoughts!
6. Thantos defeated Star Warrior via MASTERLOCK ~ It was a big let down for the fans, but they still cheered their favorite as he left the ring on wobbly legs. It was sad to see Star Warrior leave without a final shot at the belt! However, it was noticed that Star Warrior, much like Wolf, came to the ring holding his ribs. It was obvious that something was going on backstage, and everybody knew Thantos had to be involved.
7. Thantos defeated Comrade Terror via Pinfall ~ In the main event, the GalactiCup finals, Comrade Terror took the quick fall for Thantos, allowing the Gamemaster to become the first ever GWF Heavyweight Champion! The fans were beyond mad! They tossed chairs and debris into the ring; however, Thantos took his belt and left before it got any crazier! Suddenly, before Thantos could exit the entrance ramp, Star Warrior and Wolf attacked Thantos and Comrade Terror to end the show.

GWF Friday Night Fury #3 Aethra War Dome
- Thantos opens the show with Comrade Terror, Death Knight, Exo-King, and Killer Queen by his side. He holds up the GWF Heavyweight Championship high in the air, demanding respect from the Aethran crowd. Thantos receives a mixed pop. “I may not be Brute or Massacre, but I demand respect,” Thantos yells into the microphone. “I am here tonight to make this known to everyone in the Galactic Wrestling Federation... I will be your champion for a long, long time. Nobody will take this title away from me, not even the golden blonde seed of Omega or that flea-infested mutt, Wolf. Understood? Good. Now let‘s get my show rolling!”
1. Vanity defeated Death Knight via Flying Fist ~ Death Knight gave Vanity a run for his money by kicking out of the PULVERIZER early on in the match; however, Thantos’ not-so-deadly Knight failed to ever come back after that. Vanity used every move in his arsenal, but his flashy Flying Fist got the job done after Death Knight couldn’t go on any longer. Vanity, even though he’s not a favorite of the Aethrans, received a standing ovation for such an awesome match.
2. Mutant defeated Comrade Terror via Skullcrusher ~ Unlike last week’s disqualification, Mutant showed that he desires to win, too, and he beat one of the deadliest in the game! Terror came in and quickly put the hurt on Mutant, but the incoherent green monster fired back with everything he had, hitting three Skullcrushers in a row to get the pin. Eventually, Thantos jumped in the ring and put the boots to Mutant’s head. Terror then nailed Mutant with an ATOMIC WARHEAD. The fans, just like last week, were really behind Mutant, and it is clear that he is now a fan favorite.
- On the projection screen above the entrance ramp, Brute and Massacre, the Gladiators of Aethra, are shown entering the arena to a mass of wild and crazy Aethran fans. Brute pushes through the crowd while Massacre speaks out about the Aethran Tag Team Summit. “Tonight, the Gladiators of Aethra will DECAPITATE every tag team that the GWF throws at us. We are, without a doubt, the best tag team to ever grace this lackluster galaxy of professional wrestling!” The crowd pops massively, but you would expect that since we’re in the Aethra War Dome!
3. Evil Ones (Exo-King) defeated Space Croppers (Beast Rider) via DEATH VISE ~ Thantos led his team to the ring with Comrade Terror and Death Night, and the Aethran Tag Team Summit started. It was a solid match of back and forth tagging in and out, but once Killer Queen finished up on Renegade, Exo-King came in and mopped the canvas with Beast Rider. It wasn’t long before Beast Rider found himself in Exo-King’s arms, and the Space Cropper quickly passed out! However, the Space Croppers still showed determination and strength in the midst of adversity.
- Backstage, Mutant knocks on the Space Cropper’s locker room door.
4. Team FDF (Commander Sam) defeated Team FDF (Massif) via Pinfall ~ All men wrestled each other with honor and dignity, but the end came when Sam dodged Massif’s shoulder charge into the corner; Massif hit the ring post and went down, allowing Sam to get the pin. Massif, Sam, Omega, and Star Warrior shook hands after the match and left together. The Aethran crowd, unlike most crowds, booed the fan favorites as they left the arena because they were Federation Defense Fighters, not Aethrans.
- Outside the arena, Beast Rider is teaching Mutant how to ride one his beasts.
5. Greek Gods (Proteus) defeated Society of Death (Invisible Kraken) via Pinfall ~ Actagon almost put Kraken away twice with his GRECIAN SLEEPER GRIP; however, in the same fashion that Sam and Omega won their match, so did the Greek Gods. Kraken charged face first into the turnbuckle, knocking him senseless, and that allowed Proteus to get the lightning-quick pin. After the match, the Greek Gods quickly left the ring before the Society of Death could strike back. Also, the Aethran crowd was threatening to kill them!
6. Flying Titans (Pulsar) defeated the Gladiators of Aethra (Brute) via Boston Crab ~ It was the biggest upset in history, or at least Aethran history! Everybody thought this would be a squash match for Brute and Massacre, but Pulsar showed everyone that you don’t mess with the Titans. It was the quick burst of offense from Pulsar that must have shocked Brute, causing him to tap out of the Boston Crab in the center of the ring. Massacre had a lot of ruthless words to say to Brute after the match, and security had to be called in because fans were jumping the guardrails and going insane! One Aethran fan grabbed a steel chair and struck Pulsar over the head, causing him to be rushed to the nearest galactic hospital with a concussion!

GWF Friday Night Fury #4 Aethra War Dome
- Mutant opens the show by showing the Aethran fans all the cool beast-riding tricks Beast Ride showed him last week. The fans go nuts as the beast tosses Mutant off and begins trampling him. Thantos quickly ruins the moment by coming down to the ring with his men. Death Night, Exo-King, and Killer Queen toss the beast over the ropes, and Comrade Terror hits Mutant with an ATOMIC WARHEAD. “Tonight, you Aethrans will witness me ‘brutally’ destroy Wolf. I hope you all enjoy the ‘massacre.’ He will not take away my title.” This time around, Thantos receives a strong heel pop after poking fun at the Gladiators.
1. Executioner defeated Massif via DQ ~ After an early brawl with Executioner, Massif found himself outside the ring with a huge, swelling black eye; Massif obviously couldn’t see! Suddenly, an Aethran fan put a steel chair in Massif’s hands, and as Executioner dove off the apron, Massif tossed the chair right into his face. The first-time referee, an Aethran, quickly disqualified Massif due to his hatred for all non-Aethran wrestlers.
2. Star Warrior defeated Comrade Terror via NOVA LAUNCH ~ Comrade Terror really showcased why he is Thantos’ number one guy as kept Star Warrior down most the match. Star Warrior was able to come back, however, and become the number one contender for Thantos’ belt with his amazing finisher, the NOVA LAUNCH! “I will beat you at the next Friday Night Fury, Thantos. I will pay you back for all the evil things you have done in and to this great wrestling company.” The fans obviously booed Star Warrior all the way to the back.
3. Flying Titans (Lord Nexus) defeated Team FDF (Omega) via TITAN DROP ~ Sadly, Omega showed his age throughout the whole match. He knew Sam pulled him through last week but, this week, Omega found himself out of tagging range with nothing left in his tank. Sam never got tagged in, and Nexus didn’t need to tag in Pulsar. Lord Nexus, though overshadowed by Star Warrior, Wolf, and Massif, has made his name known in the GWF with each TITAN DROP. After the match, all four men shook hands and left the ring together.
- Backstage, Thantos goes over his plan with the Evil Ones. “Comrade will take care of it.”
4. Greek Gods (Proteus) defeated Evil Ones (Exo-King) via Pinfall ~ Comrade Terror tried to help the Evil Ones early in the match, but Actagon took him out with a dropkick off the apron. Then, when Exo-King bounced off the turnbuckle after a missed shoulder tackle, Proteus rolled the King up for the quick pin. Exo-King actually had Proteus reeling, but the Grecian fighter used his head and got his team the win!
5. Greek Gods (Proteus) defeated Flying Titans (Pulsar) via OVERHEAD TOSS ~ It was a straight-forward clash of high flying wrestling versus traditional Greco-Roman wrestling. However, Proteus put the young rookie away with his OVERHEAD TOSS! The Greek Gods became the first Aethran Tag Team Summit winners and the first GWF Tag Team Champions! The fans threw debris into the ring as the Greek Gods were given the belts, and before they could head to the back and celebrate, Brute and Massacre came through the crowd and clobbered them!
- Backstage, Death Knight, Exo-King, and Killer Queen are seen exiting Wolf’s locker room.
6. Thantos defeated Wolf via MASTERLOCK ~ In this hard-hitting, aggressive GWF Heavyweight Championship match, Wolf had to fight off all of Thantos’ men as they came poking their noses into the match. Wolf unleashed the SAVAGE FACE CLAW midway through the match, but Thantos got to the ropes and played possum. Suddenly, Star Warrior, Massif, and Lord Nexus ran down to the ring and fought off Death Knight, Comrade Terror, and the Evil Ones. Wolf, distracted by all the action, was easily blindsided by Thantos. The Gamemaster then made Wolf submit via MASTERLOCK. The show went off the air with Wolf arguing with the men that came to save him.

I don't know about Old Skewl, but I like what's going on with Mutant. That was a great ending to the Thantos-Wolf match; I can't wait to see where this goes next.

I honestly like this format better than the commentary format. I think this format puts the focus on the wrestlers instead of just seeing what two guys are saying about the wrestlers. It's more concise, easier to read, and as you said, having time to play is the most important thing. I used to pressure myself to write these really long cards with commentary/dialogue and usually burned myself out with it pretty quickly. Everyone enjoys doing write-ups in a different way, but the most important thing is that it should enhance your enjoyment of the game, not detract from it.
