Those of us who couldn't make "Da CON!!" (I'm a Chicago area guy, so this is my new phrase-ology for the event) would dig any spoiler stuff you lucky ones would care to share about the game. So how about it? Let's get some stuff to wet our appetites and fire us up for the slow road to receiving this edition.
Please (please, please) don't read if you don't want to be SPOILED.

I hear Monolith is turning face, Endgame is turning heel, and something or other about the twisting figure 4 involving the ring post.

I totally appreciate how frustrating it must be to not get the handbook yet, so here goes:
--Epoch is alive, but not involded in the storylines...yet.
--Iron Hand's new team is comprised of Monolith (!), Divided We Fall, and Mother Superior. Straight out of the "evil commissioner handbook" Iron hand immediately hand his guys the GWF Universal, Tag, and Women's titles.
--The other shocking bit of info is that Iron Hand claims to have placed a spy on every team in the GWF.
--The Sleeper Cell is aligned with the FDF. It's a group attack card. Apparently they are young, unkown indy workers trying to make a name for themselves and Anivar is using them for attacking FDF opponents.
--The loners in the fed have formed an independent team call ed The Resistance to face Martial Law: Wolf, Kill Prey, Valour, Shann-Ra, and Sultana
Those IMO are the biggies.
The art we see in the handbook is great and the new characters are very cool. Swarm's update is siiiiiiiiccckkk. Can't wait for the cards to get here.

I think that with endgame putting his faith in anivar, the sleeper cell is aligned not with the fdf so much as it is with anivar. Especially when the book says that there are such severe penalties for if/when they get caught. IMO I don't think Endgame knows what anivar is doing, but maybe he does and hopes that it won't turn bad for him and the FDF. I think too that later on down the line that Endgame and Anivar come to a point to where they can't/won't be on the same team.

I don't have the handbook, so I'm not sure if it clears this up more in there, but is it possible that the true identities of the Sleeper Cell members are actually currently on the GWFZ roster?

I suppose it's possible (and that would be quite cool actually) but it makes it clear in the handbook that these are unknown wreslters looking for their big break. One even repeatedly says that wrestling for the GWF is his ultimate goal and is worried that Iron Hand will find out the identities of Sleeper cell and they will be forever banned.

I bought the edition earlier today and spent the past couple of house printing and reading the handbook.
This is a great story.
The idea of the double agents on every team interests me. I have a real unique theory about who each spy is and how it relates to a bigger theme. Of course, it's possible that it's all just a lie to get the teams to distrust each other. But if not, there's a couple of real cool scenarios I imagine.
Here's a real interesting idea: what if Iron Hand is just a robot being manipulated by the REAL person with the power, Mother Superior? Or could he be Epoch in disguise (I think that whole Epoch thing may just be a red herring, though). It be another return by Thantos, who takes his place at the top with his son Encubus and bride Mother Superior after finally destroying the Omega clan's legacy once and for all by crushing Bloodline? Could he be Vengeance's brain in a robot body? Or maybe it really is someone new (The Assassin KING?).
I think I've seen the Main Event concept before and he was called Pegasus and Paragon. Pretty much the same character type, and even the fur coat. Of course, THIS could be Epoch's threatened disguise comeback, but that would be an even bigger stretch than imagining him being Iron Hand.
Anyway, there's a lot of deception, distrust, and subterfuge going on this year! I can hardly wait to get the cards now!

I think I've seen the Main Event concept before and he was called Pegasus and Paragon. Only this time he's black. Pretty much the same character type, and even the fur coat. Of course, THIS could be Epoch's threatened disguise comeback, but that would be an even bigger stretch than imagining him being Iron Hand. Are you looking at the full color version of the pdf file? Or the B&W printable? Because I don't think he's black. The Main Event has blonde hair and is deeply tanned.
