i follow the story lines pretty close and have had many champs retire or go from singles to tag team and back causing me to have titles vacated or stripped so this really won't be that big of an issue. I have a few more 2122 cards left so i might try to move in the direction of 2123 story lines and see what happens. But Right now Endgame is my champ...and what better way to get him really pissed at Iron Hand then have the new commissioner strip him of the title and put it on Monolith! I mean it really sets the stage for a great feud in 2123 for those two big guys!

We keep our champs in place, regardless of the book. It may make us give the suggested wrestlers a title shot, but nothing more. We also have the policy of a champ defending their title after leaving in the book until they lose.

If the wrestler is continuing in the fed but becomes a tag or vice versa, I'll let them hold it until they drop it and then make the switch. If they are champ and leave the fed, I'll wait till after they drop it.
One cool thing is Epoch was my Heavy Metal Champ when he 'disappeared'. This has fed into a great storyline where Tauran saw the belt in Drury's bag and the FDF have been accusing Outlaw Nation of being behind the disappearance.
I will probably follow storylines for 2123.
Monolith is already the champ so that'll probably stay the same (assuming he can hold onto it till the end of the year, but I'm sure he can). DWF has been pretty middle of the road for me, so I'll give it to them, but wouldn't be surprised if they lost it quickly. Mother Superior is current champ so that's fine. I just don't really want to strip Havoc of the IP belt! He just got it and has been on a great hot streak (and actually made me interested in the character).

I plan on going with the storyline in this instance. Monolith was already the champ, but he just had a brutal match with Wolf in the main event of "Final Conflict" (the last PPV of the year) and was disqualified. He went on a rampage and had to be restrained by two dozen GWF officials and security members, so Massif held the title vacant pending a rematch. So Massif gets fired, Monolith takes the side of the man who can give him the belt back, and all is well.
Divided We Fall has been undefeated all year, but has never been given a title shot as Master Race has ducked them. Master Race recently dropped the belts to The Gladiators and the title picture has been dominated by those two teams, with DWF getting frozen out of the race. So it makes sense they'd take Iron Hand's offer.
Sultana is the women's champ and it'll be perfect for her feud with Mother Superior for the belt to be taken from her and given to Mother Superior.
All in all, this storyline works SEAMLESSLY with my fed.
BTW, It is sheer AGONY having the handbook in hand and not the cards! I love getting the handbook early though, since I get a chance to tie things up with 2122 before 2123 arrives.

I usually keep my titles the same. Monolith is my Heavyweight champ Sly drury and Galdiators are my tag champs plus i have been wanting to add a new belt so this works out pretty good for me in stting up some feuds and adding a new belt

To the actual question: I will do the book in this case. When Tom had the rankings listed in the book (I'm not sure what years those were) before I didn't change champions, except in the CPC years when Paragon joined up.

In my fed(s) the only way a champ is changed is when he loses.

If a champ leaves the fed for whatever reason, I'll usually build a story around it when he eventually loses (it was that way with Euritar for me), where, say, he feels like he was the recipient of a Montreal-style screwjob and takes off. But it's pretty rare I'll just strip someone of the belt because they're gone.
I'm not following the Iron Hand storyline in the handbook, but FWIW, Monolith is my heavyweight champ and the Master Race are tag champs, having just beaten Divided We Fall, so there are still some storyline possibilities there, like Iron Hand making sure DWF gets the most title shots, etc.

My Tag Titles were goign to be vacant anyways with Reckless beign injured and elaving, so Iron Hand handing them to Divided We Fall works. I don't have a woman's champion (separate fed) and I'm imagining the fun of Iron Hand stripping Disaster of the title he's held for almost two years and just giving it to Monolith (which will make it Mono's first reign for me)
