I don't see the great improvements he supposedly made in Japan. He looks pretty slow and even awkward at times. I HATE the stopping the match crap they are pulling with him. Is it that hard to just pin or submit the guy? We have matches every PPV where wrestlers take more damage than Lord Tensai's opponents and those matches are never stopped. I also hate the logic. The ref should make him try to win the match or DQ him. It doesn't make him look tough having the match stopped vs, jobbers anyways. Dumb! I feel the same way. I was expecting a lot more... and yeah I can't stand the ref calling for the bell. Even on Raw people have taken worse beatings than that without the ref calling for the bell. I was more impressed with this guy when he pressed Kane a few years back.

Yes, bazzy, some of the fan base will remember him as Albert so they will chant that. But after awhile, those chants will fade out.
When you see Colt Cabana at any indy show, people chant "Scotty Goldman" at him (his WWE name). But that doesn't mean he should start calling himself that (besides the obvious legal ramifications).
WWE is packaging him as Lord Tensai, regardless of what the fans chant. I don't see what the big deal is.

I agree with Payback here. Remember how the NY fans used to chant Charlie! at Papa Shango because they knew his real name?
Tensai will be fine as far as the Albert! chants go. However, if he gives them a reason to chant Shave your back! he may be in trouble.

www.wwe.com/shows/raw/2012-04-09/lord-tensai-referee-stoppagesWWE.com turned to WWE physician Dr. Chris Amann following Tensai's match against Yoshi Tatsu on Raw SuperShow to find out the answer. "The referees have been instructed by the physicians and athletic trainers on how to recognize signs and symptoms of being no longer able to compete, such as head trauma or other injuries," said Amann. "So if any Superstar shows those signs and symptoms, the match is stopped immediately per protocol and then the Superstar is examined by our physicians and athletic trainers." Tensai's vicious approach since coming over from Japan has led to unenviable situations for both WWE competitors and referees who've had to officiate his contests. WWE official Charles Robinson confessed it's been intimidating to step into the same ring as the monstrous combatant. "Lord Tensai is a beast cut from a different cloth," said Robinson. "It's pretty scary to have someone like that in the ring, knowing you have to officiate his match."

So...Big Show can do some huge knockout punch, which tends to look pretty legit, and still have to pin the guy, but Tensai just does some moves and they stop the match? Where's the logic?

I think if Tensai cut loose and started working like he did in Japan, then the whole match stoppage thing would make more sense.
Alas, so far he's just been "methodical".
