Never was a fan of his...not sure what anyone sees with him. TNA always seems to think they can find a gem in a pile of cow dung, but it never works out that way.

I agree w Avarice. Can't name one decent Chavo match ever. Always felt like he was a guy who had a job just because of his name. When he said "Me and Eddie taught Jon Cena how to wrestle" I realized then that he had burritos for brains and stopped paying attention. Honestly, I thought he was already in TNA for some reason.

He apparently wrestled for TNA's Ring Ka King in India.
Actually surprised to see the hate on Chavo. I always loved his in the ring work and thought he had pretty solid mic skills as well.
Some Chavo matches/feuds I liked: Chavo vs. Shane Helms for WCW's Cruiserweight title, his "servitude" of Eddie early on in WCW and really loved when Eddie & Chavo teamed up in WWE and had many great matches against the Bashams and WGTT.

I have ZERO opinion on Chavo...that is probably a really bad sign when you have no opinion on a guy.

meh...(Trademarked and all rights reserved, copyright @2012) Whether Chavo was on WCW or WWE, whenever he came on...it was time for a bathroom break, grab something to eat, or to take the mother-in-law out for a walk! ;D I don't see the fan appeal...because he is part of a wrestling family doesn't mean diddly in my opinion...if that was the case, my youngest should be NE Varsity champ as my second is in Varsity! Another washed up or never-has-been "star" signed to Total Nonexistent Action to try and entice fans to drudge through their B rated show every week!

Yeah, I also liked Los Guerreos vs Team Angle too, but that was nearly a decade ago and that WCW stuff you mentioned was almost a decade and a half ago. I like Chavo and I enjoyed meeting him last month in Huntington Park, California at a NWA Hollywood house show. He is a much better wrestler than how the WWE was using him when they booked Chavo to lose every week to Hornswoggle. But TNA less than 2 weeks ago was using guys like Jigsaw, Scorpio Sky, Sonjay Dutt, and Kenny King which really grabbed my attention to the extent that I even ordered a TNA PPV for the first time in 2 1/2 years. I would prefer TNA focus more on guys like that instead of signing a 40 year old former WWE wrestler. Nothing against Chavo, but TNA still already has enough veterans on their roster IMO. If TNA uses guys like Jigsaw and Joey Ryan regularly then I will watch Impact every week. However, signing Chavo doesn't get me to watch Impact or buy TNA PPVs. but Chavo might be a good teacher/mentor for TNA's X Division if that is what they are mostly going to use him for

Chavo was the only one of the Smackdown Six to not win a WWE or World title, not that he ever got to the level to deserve it, but you all have to admit Smackdown was awesome back when Eddie, Chavo, Edge, Mysterio, Angle, and Benoit were tearing it up.
And don't anyone forget - Chavo taught Dolph Ziggler everything he knows!! Okay, not really. But Ziggler did debut in WWE originally as the caddy for Kerwin White. Back then I thought Ziggler was a big dude too because Chavo is really only about 5'7 or so.

I also am discouraged that none have made it onto the TNA roster page yet. Joey Ryan seems to be signed but they are working an (actually pretty entertaining) angle to eventually bring him in. The others should really be brought in ASAP since the X-Division is nothing right now.

I like Chavo, and while he is someone you want to have in your roster and locker room, I don't see him doing anything past midcard in TNA. A utility player at best. No knock on the guy or his work, it's just that he doesn't seem to be someone who could be a major player in that company.
