Nick Gage promo
“Yo. It’s ‘The King’ Nick f- Gage. Shout out to my MDK gang. I’m a little pissed off right now. I lost in the second round of the PWIS title tournament. I got a concussion in my first match when Jordan Oliver smashed me over my head with a muthaf- steel chair. I’m not making excuses. Willie Mack, you lit me up. You and I, we’ll do it again. But right now, Jordan Oliver, you want to come hard at me? I’m going to f- destroy you. MDK - all f- day.”

First off, congrats to Da' Mack on becoming the first champ! I really like the pairing with Salina de la Renta, though I hope Mack can trust her. Chris Masters was awesome throughout the tournament. I especially loved his taunting after the second-round win.
The "Champions Advantage" rules are genius, I can't wait to see how they play out in PWIS.

The Champion's Advantage should be fun. I think it could give each champion their own signature run with the belt and present interesting hurdles for the challengers. And you are not the only one concerned about Willie Mack's involvement with Selina De La Renta. More on that next.

Video clip backstage following Spirit of Independence 2022.
Willie Mack is sitting in the dressing room following his championship win. Joe Dombrowski comes in to get an interview.
Joe: “Willie Mack. Congratulations on becoming PWIS Champion. How does it feel?"
Willie: "Thanks, Joe. It feels great. I appreciate you having me in the tournament.”
Joe: “Willie, if you don't mind, I wanted to ask about your… association... with Selina De La Renta.”
Willie: "Yeah, Selina. She’s good people. She's been a big help."
Joe: “I mean, I'm sure you're aware of her reputation…”
Selina suddenly interrupts.
Selina: “Excuse me! If you want to speak to the champion or anyone else managed by Promociones Dorado, you have to go through me first. DO you understand me?"
Joe straightens up trying to find words.
Willie: “Sorry, Joe. Ya gotta do what the lady says.”
Selina: “Now, can we have some privacy in the locker room? Go!”
Joe retreats under Selina's glare. The camera continues to roll as Selina picks up the new title belt and admires it.

Looks like you've already got some cool dynamics at play between there newly crowned champion and his outspoken manager... At first, I thought you might be using Da' Mack as a stone cold heel or antihero... but I'm happy to see that my initial impression was wrong... Gonna be fun watching this relationship develop further... Awesome stuff!

Gonna be fun watching this relationship develop further... Awesome stuff! No, Willie is going to be Willie. That's how he is best for me. As far as Selina, I wanted to use her but wasn't sure how. I decided to have her piggyback in with Willie as an x-Factor for the tournament. I have some ideas down the road for her but as far as Da Mack is concerned, I'm just going to see how it plays out. Kinda like what you were saying about Vampiro - sometimes you just have to throw a stick in the creek and see where it ends up.

Nashville, TN July 29, 2022Commentary: Joe Dombrowski
Ring Announcer: Joe Dombrowski
Referee: Jake Clemons
All matches contested under Level 1 Rules (strict).
Joe: “Good evening! We are here with our friends at Black Label Pro once again. Tonight we have a great hour of action so let’s get it going.”
Calvin Tankman vs. Dan the Dad
Tankman gets impatient with Dan taking his time sipping on his coffee. Calvin shoves him then whips him into the corner and follows him in with a crushing body splash. Backbreaker and lariat knocks Dan’s glasses off his head. GF Driver by Tankman! Cover and kick out. The crowd is getting behind Dan, warning Calvin that he’s going to get a ‘time out’. Tankman continues to rough up Dan in and out of the ring. GF Driver again. Last moment, shoulder up! Calvin is showing a little frustration. After taking a bit more of a beating, Dan gets a comeback going. Gone Fish-erman’s Suplex has Calvin taking a powder. Tankman smashes Dan into the ring post and follows up with a devastating moonsault. Dan is getting obliterated but hits another Gone Fish-erman’s Suplex out of nowhere. Two count! Calvin gets a spanking and the fans love it. Piggyback Stunner for a near fall. The pair are slowing down and the bell rings out mercifully as the time limit expires.
Joe: “I don’t think anyone was expecting a war like that! Dan the Dad with an inspired showing. Calvin Tankman goes back to the drawing board once again.”
Time limit draw
Video segment:
Pre-taped backstage interview
“Joe Dombrowski here with a special guest - Cowboy James Storm.”
“Well, hey there, Joe. How ya doin’?"
“James, I know you're busy but do you have time for one question?”
“Shoot.”
“When are we going to see you in a PWIS ring?”
“Hmph. Well… I see you just crowned a new champion. Maybe if I can get a crack at that shiny new belt we can talk business. And to whoever’s champ at that time - sorry about your damn luck.”
Jordan Oliver & Cole Radrick vs. Kevin Ku & Kevin Blackwood
Joe: “Next up, we have two impromptu tag teams. Let’s see what these four up-and-comers, including our own Jordan Oliver, can show us on the spur of the moment.”
Radrick starts out against Ku and after a brief exchange, Cole lands a nice slingshot senton. Ku counters with a surprise roll up for a two count then tags in Blackwood. Big German suplex by Blackwood sets up a Diving Double Stomp. Near fall. Death Valley Driver. Radrick barely gets a shoulder up. Ku tags back in. Alpamare Waterslide, Ku-Die On Stage. 1 - 2 - kick out. How is Cole doing it? Brainbusters and suplexes destroy Cole. Radrick fights back. Piledriver and hot tag to Oliver. Jordan and the crowd are fired up. Oliver opens up on Ku. Clout Cutter! Ku gets his foot on the rope. Second Clout Cutter. Kick out! Clout Cutter number three. Kick out again! What is going on?! Clout Cutter one more time. It’s over. The crowd is going out of their minds. A 'that was awesome!’ chant starts.
Joe: “I don’t know what to say except that Kevin Ku and Cole Radrick have unquestionable fighting spirit. My goodness.”
Winners: Jordan Oliver & Cole Radrick
Orin Veidt comes out for the next match. He has a fluorescent light tube in one hand. Despite this, he’s smiling and seems even tempered. He pauses before entering the ring. He holds up the light tube bearing a solemn expression then, with purpose, breaks it over his own head. The fans don’t know what to make of it.
Joe: “What in the world? What would possess Veidt to do that to himself?”
Jake Something comes out next. He wears a questioning expression looking at Veidt who now has a small stream of blood running down his face. The ref checks on Orin but he just stares at Jake. The ref then consults Jake who indicates for them to get on with it.
Jake Something vs. Orin Veidt
Something lands a couple of big blows, knocking Veidt off his feet. Orin leaves the ring and Jake eagerly goes after him. The two start fighting at ringside. Veidt comes away with the advantage. Back in the ring, a falcon arrow by Veidt has Jake stunned. Cradle Shock by Orin. Jake kicks out after one. Veidt misses a top rope elbow drop. Fire Thunder Driver by Something. Orin bounces back with a flying forearm smash that rocks Jake. Veidt hits Total Anarchy. Two count. Corner spear by Jake and Veidt goes out to the floor again. Jake is agitated and tells Veidt to get back in the ring. Orin smiles strangely and holds his arms out. Angry, Jake flys through the ropes with a suicide dive. The pace slows as they struggle back and forth. Forearm knockdown by Jake. Cover for a long two. Jake gets away with a vicious low blow that sets up a Something Bomb. Orin once again leaves the ring. He wanders up the aisle smiling, trying to shake it off. Jake gives pursuit again but Veidt is playing possum and gives him a Cradle Shock onto a merch table. Back in the ring, Total Anarchy for a two count. Jake scores with MFKR. Orin kicks out at two. Jake pounds the mat in frustration. The match turns into a war of attrition as both men are seriously wearing down. No one can believe that Veidt is hanging with the beastly Jake. Something Bomb finally puts Orin down for the three count. After having his hand raised, Jake wearily takes his leave. A moment later, Veidt sits up. He winces, wipes blood out of his eyes and looks at his smeared hand. He shrugs and smiles, looks at the crowd then leaves as well.
Joe: “Not really sure what that was about but you have to put Orin Veidt on the list of tonight’s gutsy performances.”
Winner: Jake Something
Joe is interrupted by music that has the crowd get to their feet. Nick Gage is in the house! Gage is mobbed by his MDK gang and it takes a while for him to get to the ring. After hyping up the crowd a bit, he summons Wes Barkley to the ring.
“Biscuit! Get your ass out here!”
Wes meekly comes to the ring. Segments of the crowd are uncomfortable with the scene, more so when Barkley takes his accustomed place a step behind Gage and a finger in Nick’s belt loop.
“I just got to the building but I heard that little b*tch Jordan Oliver was here. Hey, Jordan, why don’t you bring your punk ass out here and we can settle this man to man?”
A portion of the crowd gets riled while many others are anxious about what may transpire. After waiting a while, Gage shakes his head with disgust.
“I knew it. He's a p*ssy. Well, don’t worry Jordo, I’ll be looking for you…”
Before Gage can finish, Joshua Bishop bursts through the curtain and charges the ring. Gage takes a defensive stance but still gets tackled to the mat. Fists fly back and forth as the two roll around on the mat, trading dominant position. The scuffle takes them to the ropes where they topple out to the floor and go toe-to-toe. The brawl goes into the crowd and the fans scatter as chairs fly. Bishop takes some good shots but gets fired up and starts hauling off with huge chair shots that knock Gage to the floor. Bishop’s rage subsides a little as Gage tries to recover. Bishop looks around and spots Wes standing at the periphery of the melee. Bishop heads in the direction of the exit, urging Wes to follow him. After a few strides, Josh turns to see that Wes hasn’t moved and won’t meet his eyes. He beckons his Rip City Shooter partner to come with him. Instead, Wes starts to gravitate towards Gage who has regained his feet. Nick is shaking out the cobwebs and spots Bishop a few yards away and advances to resume the fight. By this time security and officials are on the scene and manage to keep the two men apart. As Bishop is escorted to the exit, an expression of bewilderment clouds his face as he sees Barkley still docilely at Gage’s side
Joe: “What a wild night this has been. We’ve got a lot to sort out after tonight’s developments. Be sure to follow us on social media for all the latest news and updates. This is Joe Dombrowski signing off for PWIS.”

The arrival of Cowboy James Storm appears imminent... And I truly cannot wait to see him throw down with Da' Mack for that shiny new belt... Epic potential.
Lots of great action from top to bottom of this card with lots of competitors delivering gutsy performances - win, lose or draw... Veidt remains someone to watch in my books, despite his losing effort against Jake Something.
Totally stoked that Joshua Bishop is ready to advocate for his friend, Wes Barkley... Fireworks will surely fly when Bishop and Gage come face-to-face inside the ring.
Brilliant stuff!

Gage vs. Bishop sounds like an explosion waiting to happen. I'm looking forward to that one. As for Salina de la Renta, I fear what could happen to Da' Mack, but it will most definitely be interesting to see how it all plays out.
