INTRO

LOUDEN NOXIOUS: "Weeelll-come! To Pro wrestling Independent Spirit! Get set for a wild night of competition!"

(Louden Noxious and Superstar Sean Davis are calling the action)

MATCH #1

Johnny Kashmere vs. Danny Doring

After his introduction, Kashmere waits in the ring as Louden announces his opponent. There is no sight of Doring as they watch the curtain. Louden announces him again. "Yeah, yeah, yeah," responds a voice from the other side of the club. Doring comes through the audience, downing the last gulp of beer in his glass. "Keep yer panties on!"
He stops at a table where an attractive young woman is sitting and sets the glass down and eyes her. "Not you though."
This match has a a lot of back and forth countering at first but each man gets his offense going and Doring pulls off the win with the Danaconda.

Winner: Danny Doring

MATCH #2

Afa Jr. vs. J.D. Michaels Eddie Kingston

Before the referee can call for the opening bell, the club's attention turns to a disturbance coming from the entrance. Security is trying to keep Drake Younger from entering the building. With him is 'The Last of a Dying Breed' Eddie Kingston. Commissioner Charlie Cox is soon on the scene and calls Afa over for assistance. With the help of the big Samoan, Younger and Kingston are ejected. Younger is cursing at Cox and Kingston pushes Afa. "You want a fight ya big p***Y? Huh?" Kingston blurts at Afa.
Security now tries top keep these two apart. Afa addresses Cox: "I want him in the ring, Charlie!" Cox shakes his head. "Now, Charlie!"
Not knowing what to do, Charlie instructs security to let them go and the men head to the ring.
Afa delivers the hurt to Kingston but 'The King of Diamonds' won't stay down. Kingston makes a comeback and repeatedly hits the Samoan with Back Fist To The Future. Eventually Afa doesn't get back up and Kingston is victorious and shows the crowd what he thinks of them with his middle finger. Commissioner Cox is beside himself at ringside. He throws his hat on the ground and storms off.

Winner: Eddie Kingston

MATCH #3

Mike Quackenbush vs. Ken Doane

This is a good even match but Quackenbush pulls out the win with the Quackendriver II.

Winner: Mike Quackenbush

Intermission: A video montage is presented of clips from past PWIS shows featuring all of the top stars in action. At the end of the video we see:

MATCH #4

Claudio Castagnoli vs. Adam Pearce w/Ken Doane

Claudio is on the early offense but Pearce dumps him outside of the ring. He gives Castagnoli a spinebuster slam on the floor. Before Claudio can get back in the ring, Ken Doane dropkicks him and delivers an elbow drop. The ref catches him and calls for the disqualification. Pearce and Doane corner Claudio at ringside but before they can start the beatdown, Mike Quackenbush charges out and jumps Pearce. A brawl ensues and security has its hands full for the second time tonight. Commissioner Cox returns to ringside to clear this business up: "All right. If you guys what to go two on two then get in that ring and do it. We're not waiting for another a next time. Referee ring the bell!"

Winner: Claudio Castagnoli

MATCH #5

Mike Quackenbush & Claudio Castagnoli vs. Adam Pearce & Ken Doane

The fans are treated to a good tag team match but in the end it turns sour. Quackenbush gets the pinfall against Doane after a Quackendriver II. As the ref starts to raise Quack's hand, Pearce runs in and dropkicks Claudio from the apron and into the barricade. When Quack turns his attention to Pearce, a recovered Doane dropkicks him in the back. Then the two execute a double-team spike Jumping Piledriver. Quackenbush writhes on the canvas clutching his neck. As the heels retreat up the ramp they are greeted by Commissioner Cox coming through the curtain. "Where do you clowns think you're going?! I've had it with this crap! The two of you are suspended for two months and there will be fines handed out!"
Pearce is slack-jaw stunned and Doane throws a fit.
LOUDEN: "I think Kenny just realized he's thrown away his chance to be in the championship tournament next month."
SUPERSTAR SEAN: "This Cox guy is out of line throwing those kind of suspensions around. Who put him in charge anyway?"

Winners: Mike Quackenbush & Claudio Castagnoli

MATCH #6

Rob Van Dam vs. Robert Anthony

The crowd is really excited for this match. Each competitor takes turns on offense but RVD starts putting together a string of pin attempts with body scissors cradles. As Anthony starts to anticipate more chain wrestling, RVD goes high and hits him with a roundhouse kick to the head, dropping Anthony for the pin. After the match the men shake hands and raise each others hands to the crowds approval.

Winner: Rob Van Dam

MAIN EVENT

PWIS Tag Team Championship

The Naptown Dragons vs. Colt Cabana & 2 Cold Scorpio

More excitement from the crowd as the two popular teams square off for the title. Cabana starts out against Scotty Vortekz. Colt gets the quick upper hand and applies the Billy Goat's Curse. Dustin Lee makes the save but Scorpio comes in and the two start brawling. Cabana hefts Vortekz up onto his shoulder and drops him with a Colt .45. Lee breaks up the pin attempt. Cabana flings Scotty into the ropes and attempts a sunset flip but Vortekz hooks his ankles and secures the pin. A surprised Cabana can't believe it. The champs display their belts to the crowd as Colt and Scorpio leave.

Winners: Naptown Dragons

AFTERMATH

Backstage

Mike Quackenbush is having his neck checked out as Claudio Castagnoli approaches.
CLAUDIO: "Hey, Mike. You didn't have to do that tonight. Now, if you're hurt, you might have jeopardized your chances in the tournament."
MIKE: "It's alright Claudio. I know we are in competition against each other in the rankings but I don't like to see guys like them bullying someone. I'll be okay. And hopefully we'll meet in the tournament."
CLAUDIO: "Thanks, Mike. I won't forget it."

YOUR MID-WEEK UPDATE FOR PRO WRESTLING INDEPENDENT SPIRIT

ITEM: Cleveland, Ohio will host the next great show from PWIS. The competition to make the top ten is heating up this June and Rob Van Dam is setting the pace. In this week's main event, he takes on the top dog, Claudio Castagnoli. We will also see Colt Cabana, Bryan Danielson, and 'All Ego' Ethan Page in action.

"When the dust settles at the end of June, you'll see me at the top of the rankings heading into the Spirit of Independence tournament. And Rob Van Dam... Commissioner Charlie Cox has been busy lately. Not only is he still dealing with his personal headache, Drake Younger, but now Younger has Eddie Kingston backing him up. Cox has also suspended Adam Pearce and Ken Doane for injuring Mike Quackenbush. Some feel he overreacted and that the two month suspensions are extreme. Cox had this to say about the subject: "Pearce and Doane have had this coming since they attacked 2 Cold Scorpio a while back. I let it play out in the ring last time, but enough is enough from those two. I'm putting all of the boys on notice: If you push me, I'm going to push back."

ITEM: On July 4th, from Philadelphia PA, PWIS will host it's first annual Spirit of Independence Tournament. 16 stars from PWIS and other promotions will compete to see who is the best in independent wrestling! The winner of this inaugural tournament will also be crowned the first PWIS Champion!

This week we are happy to announce our first special invitee: national television superstar Austin Aries!

I'm backing Charlie 100% with his recent decisions. Strong work from the Commissioner imo.

INTRO

LOUDEN NOXIOUS: "Good evening, Cleveland! Get ready for an exciting night of great professional wrestling!"

(Louden Noxious and Vic Travagliante are calling the action)

MATCH #1

Brent Albright vs. J.D. Michaels

LOUDEN: "This is Albright's PWIS debut. I expect big things from him in the future."
Albright gets control early with some powerful suplexes. Michaels fights back and gets his shots in but is forced to submit to the Crowbar.

Winner: Brent Albright

MATCH #2

2 Cold Scorpio vs. Ethan Page

Page starts off well, getting a couple of pin attempts in the opening minutes of the match. Scorpio responds with some of his patented offense. Seleziya Sparx intercedes after a Scorpio Splash, most likely preventing a Page loss. 'All Ego' gets the momentum and puts it into overdrive and gets the big win with the Headshot Cutter.

Winner: Ethan Page

Between matches, there is a murmur from the audience as Eddie Kingston comes in the door and pulls up a chair at ringside.

MATCH #3

Bryan Danielson vs. Ricky Landell

VIC: "Landell has been sliding back down the rankings. He needs a win tonight."
LOUDEN: "Yes. And he has perhaps his biggest challenge ahead of him."
Danielson lays into Landell hard with some stiff offense and it looks like it might be a short night for Landell. Landell twice escapes the Guillotine Choke, annoying Danielson, who takes the action outside of the ring. He pulls apart a section of barricade and gives Landell a aerial hip toss onto it. When Danielson goes to the top rope Landell surprises him with a gut wrench suplex off the turnbuckle and gets a near fall. They fight back and forth and it again ends up outside of the ring. This time Landell comes out on top after a hard chair shot that leaves Danielson prone for a Top Rope Fist Drop. The win gets a mixed reaction from the crowd which Landell ignores as he leaves a stunned Danielson in the ring.

Winner: Ricky Landell

MATCH #4

The Samoan Island Tribe vs. Arik Cannon & Danny Doring Eddie Kingston & Necro Butcher

As the SIT are introduced, Eddie Kingston stands up in the front row and begins shouting at them: "Hey! You punks see how I took out your brother, or whatever, last week? You wanna do something about it? Huh?"
Kingston hops the barricade and climbs into the ring. The Samoans are ready for him to make a move. Kingston turns to Doring and Cannon, "Why don't you jabronies beat it!"
Cannon takes a step forward but Doring holds him back and coaxes him to leave the ring. The ref steps between the two sides and tells Kingston he's outnumbered and should leave. "What? You think I'm alone? Someone's got my back," Kingston states and moments later Necro Butcher comes down to the ring as the Samoans tell the ref they accept this challenge.
This match was a wild brawl that had it all: blood, broken tables, a ref bump. The experienced teamwork of the Samoans prevailed as Samu pinned Kingston after multiple Diving Headbutts. A dazed and bloodied Kingston raises his fists and calls for the Samoans to come back and that they haven't beat anybody.

Winners: Samoan Island Tribe

MATCH #5

Colt Cabana vs. Necro Butcher Arik Cannon vs. Danny Doring

Due to the previous impromptu match, these three men are thrown together for a Triple Threat match, one fall to a finish. At first Cabana stays out of the fray and watches with amusement as Cannon and Doring pound on each other. The three men go around and around with no one allowing another to get a pinfall. Cannon eventually gets the victory over Doring after a pair of Glimmering Warlocks.

Winner: Arik Cannon

MAIN EVENT

Claudio Castagnoli vs. Rob Van Dam

There is great anticipation for this match with the top spot in the rankings on the line. At the onset, Claudio wrestles much shaper and RVD has trouble getting his offense going. Conversely, Cluadio's arsenal fails to put RVD in trouble. RVD starts to gain momentum with his trademark moves but Claudio's impressive strength halts Van Dam. Castagnoli catches his opponent off guard and secures the win with a Ricola Bomb. The men shake hands after the match to the delight of the excited crowd and the commentators acknowledge that Claudio is in the drivers seat heading into the Spirit of Independence Tournament.

Winner: Claudio Castagnoli

AFTERMATH

Backstage

Bryan Danileson is sitting in the dressing room, holding a cold pack to his head: "You know, I came into tonight's match expecting Ricky Landell to live up to his reputation as technical wrestler. I guess he realized there's no way he can beat me hold for hold. No, he had to resort to hitting me over the with a steel chair. Okay, Ricky. Next time we're here in Cleveland, we can do it your way. And I promise you, you'll wish we didn't."

[Crimson Cross]

It's good to see Brent Albright win his debut match. The further you move along with your fed Ace, your writing gets better in my view. I am really looking forward to your Spirit of Independence tournament to crown the 1st Champ...

YOUR MID-WEEK UPDATE FOR PRO WRESTLING INDEPENDENT SPIRIT

ITEM: PWIS returns to the Mid-Atlantic Sportatorium this week with an exciting night of action. Top contenders will be on hand including Arik Royal, 2 Cold Scorpio, and Necro Butcher.
PROMO: George South
"Hey there, folks! Come on down to the Sportatorium in Burlington and support independent wrestling. And don't forget to check out my book at the merch table. I'll also be wrestling. I'm not sure what a Necro Butcher is but it sounds like I'll have my hands full!"


VIDEO SEGMENT:
The camera approaches Drake Younger and Eddie Kingston from behind. The are sitting, looking at something on the coffee table in front of them.
EDDIE: "Is this for real?"
DRAKE: "Damn right it is."
EDDIE: "Where did it come from?"
DRAKE: "I can't really say but Sunday ol' Charlie Cox is gonna s**t a brick when he sees it."
EDDIE: "Ha, ha! Ain't that the truth."
The camera moves in closer, trying to get a shot of what the two men are looking at. They notice that they are not alone.
DRAKE: "Are you filming this?!"
EDDIE: "I'm gonna break your face, m**********r!"
The camera gets swatted and the signal is lost.

The show opens with Drake Younger and Eddie Kingston coming in the door to the building and security cutting them off. Younger puts his hands up and takes a step back.
DRAKE: "Take it easy gentleman. We're not looking to start anything. We just need to see Charlie Cox. Can you let him know we're here? We'll be on our best behavior."
Younger looks back at Eddie with a grin and Kingston is smirking as well. After a few moments one of the security team returns and says Commissioner Cox will meet them in the office and that they better not try anything. Younger mockingly crosses his heart and they follow the man to the office. Cox is sitting at a desk with some paperwork in front of him. When his two antagonists enter the room he stands and glares at them: "What the hell do the two of you want? Make it quick and then get your asses out of here!"
DRAKE: "Actually, Charlie, I don't think we're going anywhere. (Cox bristles) As a matter of fact, this little piece of paper says I'll be staying around a while."
Younger produces a few folded pages that he nonchalantly holds out to Cox. Charlie takes them and flips through them a few moments. His face twists up as he checks them over again. "Where the hell did you get these?! What makes you think for a second that I would authorize you being given a contract with this company?"
DRAKE: "Well, it looks like maybe you aren't the boss around here after all. Those are signed by the secretary of the Competition Committee. They're official. And they guarantee me a payday, Charlie-boy."
Cox is fuming. "Okay. So you get paid. That doesn't mean for one second that you're going to be on any of my shows."
DRAKE: "You better look again. Real close now. It says I have a guaranteed amount of appearances per month. You're not going to be sitting me out of this game, coach. After all, my career depends on me being in the public eye. So I think you better get us some matches for tonight."
CHARLIE: "What do you mean 'us'? This guy doesn't even work for this company."
EDDIE: "I do now, m**********r."
Kingston pulls a contract of his own from his back pocket and shoves it into Cox's chest.
DRAKE: "We'll be in the dressing room. Let us know when we go on.  Okay, Charlie-boy?"
The two walk off laughing as Cox starts rifling through the contracts again.

INTRO

LOUDEN NOXIOUS: "Mid-Atlantic wrestling fans! Welcome, once again, to Pro Wrestling Independent Spirit!"

(Louden Noxious and Brad Stutts are calling the action)

MATCH #1

Danny Doring vs. Brodie Lee

Doring's speed helps him early but Brodie takes the action outside of the ring where he likes it. Doring is counted out after being whipped into the ring steps a couple of times.

Winner: Brodie Lee

MATCH #2

Necro Butcher vs. George South

South looks good at first, showing Necro how it's done old school. Unfortunately for South, Necro brings to fight to the outside and puts a real hurt on the veteran. Necro body slams his opponent with a chair twice on the entry ramp. South just lies there as the ref counts him out of the ring.

Winner: Necro Butcher

Backstage, Tracy Smothers is preparing for his ring entrance. He is looking around the locker room for something. "Any of you boys seen my Stars and Bars?" he asks the other wrestlers. Everyone shakes their head. Unable to wait any longer, he heads out for his match.

MATCH #3

Tracy Smothers vs. Savage-T

This match was all Smothers. Savage-T was put through the ringer with Smothers getting the pin after a running lariat. T's girl K.J. Hill had to help him to the back.
BRAD: "Tracy Smothers just gave that boy a good ol' Southern whuppin'."

Winner: Tracy Smothers

MATCH #4

2 Cold Scorpio vs. Chuck Taylor

Taylor and his manager 'Elegant' Eddie Fyne come to the ring and Fyne has an announcement to make. He says that if these dirty rednecks want to see Chucky T wrestle then PWIS is going to have to raise ticket prices. His client is in demand all over the world and he can't be wrestling for people who have to use their laundry money to buy a ticket. The fans are irate but get excited when Scorpio comes out and the front row is on their feet to greet him. Scorpio has Taylor beat in the opening minutes after hitting an early Scorpio Splash but Fyne distracts the ref. Scorpio keeps up the offense with kicks and suplexes, setting up Taylor for another Scorpio Splash, this time getting the three count. The crowd is delighted by Taylor's lose. Fyne has to hold his man back as he threatens ring-siders with a backhand.

Winner: 2 Cold Scorpio

Drake Younger and Eddie Kingston are in the ring. Younger has a microphone: "All right, Cox. The show's about over and you still haven't put us in a match. What's it going to be?"
Commissioner Cox comes through the curtain and stands at the top of the ramp. "Listen Drake. This show was booked before you showed up tonight. I've done some shuffling but I only have one guy on the roster that isn't scheduled. One of you can have a match. That's the best I can do on short notice."
Younger and Kingston confer. "You got this one, bro?" asks Kingston. Younger slaps Eddie on the chest and waits for his opponent.

MATCH #5

Erick Stevens vs. Drake Younger w/Eddie Kingston

Stevens comes out like a house on fire. He gives Younger a thrashing. Drake gets busted open after a shot into the ring post, making it clear that Stevens has no qualms about making this a hard core affair. Stevens executes a Doctor Bomb, prompting Kingston to try to interfere on Younger's behalf. The ref orders Kingston to the back and he reluctantly goes. Soon, another Doctor Bomb does Younger in. Commissioner Cox meets Stevens at the top of the ramp, congratulating him. A bloody Younger gathers himself, nodding with a smile, like this was what he wanted all along.

Winner: Erick Stevens

Tracy Smothers is backstage heading for the men's room and sees Eddie Fyne standing at the door and eyes him suspiciously. Fyne puts his hands up in concession. Smother's steps to the door as it opens from the other side and out steps Chuck Taylor. "I wouldn't go in there, chief. There seems to be some plumbing problems," says Taylor, who is trying to hold back a smile. Smother's goes inside to find the floor flooded with water. "What the hell..." he mumbles as he looks around. He pushes open the door of the stall that seems to be the source of the overflowing water. "What..?!" The toilet is plugged with his missing flag which someone has tried to flush. "That sonofa..." He turns and starts after the culprits.

MAIN EVENT

Arik Royal vs. Timber

The crowd is a little intimidated by the big man with the barbed wire ax handle. They cheer Royal almost out of fear for his safety. Timber starts strong with chops and turnbuckle smashes. Royal weathers the early storm and hits some big moves on the Insane Lumberjack. Tossing Timber through the ropes proves to be a mistake as the big man hoists Royal up and gives him a backbreaker against the ring post and tosses him back in the ring. Royal then falls victim to the Log Splitter and suffers his first loss in PWIS.

Winner: Timber

AFTERMATH

Backstage

Drake Younger and Eddie Kingston are walking down the hall heading for the exit. Commissioner Cox is standing in the office doorway and addresses them as they approach. "Looks like you took a nasty shot there," he says indicating the bandage on Younger forehead. "Maybe you should reconsider your career choice."
"Nah," replies Younger. "See you next week, Charlie."
Kingston flips the bird over his shoulder as they walk away. Cox slams his door.
