Video footage backstage following Armageddon Soon
A perturbed Chris Masters tracks down Joe Dombrowski.
"Hey, Dombrowski!! What was that out there tonight?! I never agreed to a hardcore match with.. that freak."
"Actually, Chris, you did. I talked to you before the show about Fulton wanting the match to be Level 2 Rules. You didn't even look up from your phone. You said 'Whatever, boss man.' Sound familiar?"
Masters is stymied for a moment but won't let the matter lie.
"Well, it wasn't in my contract."
"It was a verbal agreement, Chris. Which is legally acceptable."
Masters just glares at Joe.
"Yeah? We'll see about that."
Masters leaves. Joe takes off his glasses and rubs his eyes.

The Masterpiece continues to cause a whole lotta grief backstage... And he did not seem convinced that his verbal agreement to face Madman Fulton in a relaxed rules bout was acceptable... What's his next move?

Nice to see Kylie Rae and Hyan in action on the last show. I also love the idea of Chris Masters having to face Madman Fulton after unknowingly accepting the hardcore match. That one should be good.

What's his next move? Masters is going to raise a stink that no one has even caught a whiff of yet. But that pot is still simmering.

Actually, the Masters/Fulton hardcore match was on the last big show. It just wasn't very hardcore. More MAsters and Fulton coming up though. Thanks for checking in.

Age of Quarrel
Masonic Temple
Cleveland, OH September 24, 2022Commentary: Joe Dombrowski
Ring Announcer: Larry Legend
Referees: Jake Clemons, Kris Levin
All matches contested under Level 1 Rules (strict) unless otherwise stipulated.
Larry: “Good evening Cleveland and everyone watching at home on PWIS-TV. Our opening bout is set for one fall and it is for the number one contender-ship to the Pro Wrestling Independent Spirit Tag Team Championship!"
The Philly Marino Experience vs. The Mane Event
Joe: “These two teams have met multiple times in the past. Only this time they are competing to see who will face the Von Erichs for the PWIS Tag Team Championship at Spirit of Unity.”
PME starts strong with a Paisan elbow on Duke Davis who tags out right away to Gannon Jones Jr. TME return the double team favor with The McAfee on Philly Collins. Jones makes the cover for a two count. Collins blocks a fisherman’s suplex and hits Philly’s Famous Moonsault. Jones tags out. Collins has to tag out to Marino Tenaglia after a TME double Flapjack. A lot of teamwork on both sides. PME with Sunset Dreams on Davis for two. Sunset Dreams again. This time for the pinfall!
Joe: “This one did not disappoint. We’ll see the Philly Marino Experience in Atlanta where they’ll take on the Von Erichs!”
Winners: Philly Marino Experience
Miranda Gordy vs. Jody Threat
The energetic Jody Threat slows down a moment to shake hands before the action. The women go back and forth with hard hitting offense. Threat with a German suplex. Bridge but she can’t hold it for the count. Threat powers Gordy up onto her shoulders… F-416! Three count.
Joe: “A solid debut from Jody Threat.”
Winner: Jody Threat
The participants for the next match, Tony Deppen and Jack Cartwheel, make their entrances.
Joe: “This is a rematch from our last show where the match was thrown out for excessive fighting outside of the ring. This time around, Deppen and Cartwheel will meet under Level 2 Rules. We will see a winner.”
Joe is interrupted by Masha Slamovich coming out. She circles the ring, eyeing the two men who are preparing to do battle.
Joe: “It looks like we have Masha Slamovich out here once again trying to insert herself into a match. To be clear, she is not scheduled to be here tonight nor have I spoken to her about appearing for PWIS in an official capacity.”
Masha gets up on the apron, intent on joining the match. Senior referee Jake Clemons blocks her from stepping through the ropes. Slamovich and Clemons exchange words and Jake is adamant about her leaving the ring area. Deppen steps between the two and shoves Masha off of the ring apron. Masha deftly catches her fall, landing on her feet. Now Masha and Deppen are jawing at each other. Masha slaps her hands against the apron, challenging Deppen to meet her on the floor.
Joe: “We are not doing this. We need some officials out here to get control of this situation.”
Deppen continues to goad Masha. As she is about to get in the ring, crew come from the back to restrain her. Deppen spits at her as she struggles to get free. Once Slamovich has been escorted out, the match gets under way.
Tony Deppen vs. Jack Cartwheel Level 2 Rules
Deppen and Cartwheel jockey for position. Tony lands some shots but Jack fires back. Tony bails to the floor but Cartwheel is hot on his heels and the two pick up from where they left off during their first match by brawling around in the crowd. Back in the ring, Deppen catches Jack by surprise with a roll up off of the ropes and a handful of tights. Cartwheel easily escapes the pin attempt. Some more back and forth and Cartwheel tags Deppen good with a handspring corner elbow. Cartwheel wows the crowd with his acrobatics and rolls Deppen up with a hurricanrana. Near fall. Shooting star press by Cartwheel! Two count. Cartwheel to the top again. Jack Arrow! Deppen kick out. Cartwheel can't believe it. Jack Arrow again. Shoulder up! Jack Arrow number three. Pinfall! Crowd is on there feet.
Joe: “Fantastic display by Jack Cartwheel! And you have to give Tony Deppen credit for his resiliency.”
Winner: Jack Cartwheel
As seen before during recent appearances, Orin Veidt comes out for his match bearing a couple of fluorescent light tubes. Before getting in the ring, he breaks one over his head, drawing a small trickle of blood that runs down his nose.
Joe: “I would really like to know what this is all about. I asked Veidt for an explanation but he just smiled and thanked me for the opportunity. Very confusing.”
Veidt’s opponent, Lee Moriarty, joins him in the ring. Veidt offers him a light tube but Lee backs away, shaking his head. Orin nods affably and hands the spare tube to the ring attendant.
Lee Moriarty vs. Orin Veidt
Veidt opens up with some chops but Moriarty counters with a series of take downs. Trading offense, it’s Veidt with a slingshot DDT to take the first major advantage in the match. Moriarty evades a charge by Orin who falls through the ropes to the floor. The pair trade blows on the floor. Moriarty back in control. Hammerlock DDT into a cradle for a near fall. Veidt now with the advantage. Cradle Shock and two count. Veidt with a flying forearm from the top rope. Falcon arrow. Veidt builds more momentum. Cradle Shock for two again. Veidt ups the ante with a Cradle Shock on the apron. Moriarty drops to the floor and fights to beat the count out. Fourth Cradle Shock and another kick out. With renewed determination, Veidt goes for an Assault Driver. Moriarty is done.
Joe: “Orin Veidt with what has to be considered an upset. I for one am a little bit shocked.”
Winner: Orin Veidt
Larry: “All right ladies and gentlemen let’s keep the ball rolling here.”
Matt Cardona vs. KTB
Cardona and KTB face off during the introductions and things get heated to the point of fists flying. Larry scrambles to get out of the way.
Joe: “Obviously tensions run high between these two. KTB forced Cardona to submit in a tag team match at our last event and now Cardona wants payback.”
KTB gets the better of the pre-match melee as the bell rings. Inverted atomic drop & splash. Cover for two. KTB with a huge barrage of offense has Cardona rocked. After a foray out on the floor, KTB crushes Matt with Go To Beast. Near fall. It’s all KTB until Cardona rolls out of the way of a diving reverse head butt. Matt strings together some moves but KTB avoids a charge in the corner and lariats Cardona over the top rope. The fans are loving it as Cardona gets trounced. Beasthammer for 2¾. KTB locks in the hold he beat Cardona with last month, a half crab. Matt taps again!
Joe: “KTB with the submission victory. I’m afraid at this point, Matt Cardona is going to be inconsolable."
Winner: KTB
Non-title Willie Mack w/Selina De La Renta vs. Tre' Lamar
Joe: “PWIS Champion Willie Mack in a non-title bout tonight in preparation for his first defense next month at Spirit of Unity. Let’s see how the up-and-coming Tre’ Lamar fairs against the champion.”
Tre’ attacks at the bell but Willie sidesteps and knocks the youngster into the corner with a running lariat. Rip Tire Cannonball. Cover but Lamar kicks out immediately. As Tre’ gets to his feet, Willie hits him with a Stunner. Two count. Tre’ tries a comeback but Willie cuts it short and drives him hard into the mat with a Big Wiggle Slam. Standing moonsault. Willie is rolling. Stunner! Three count! Selina enters the ring to jubilantly raise the champion’s hand in victory.
Joe: “That’s all she wrote, folks. Willie Mack looking sharp as he awaits the announcement of next month's opponent.”
Winner: Willie Mack
The Godz of Destruction team of Shane Mercer and Madman Fulton come out for the main event. The fans are hyped and cheering them loudly. The Been To The Show team of Chris Masters and Brian Myers are out next, getting the polar opposite reaction. Masters is more straight-faced than usual, skipping his usual banter with the hecklers at ringside. Once in the ring, Masters grabs the mic from Larry. He waits for the boos to die down then sternly voices what he has to say. “Hey, bossman Joe. Do you have any surprises for me tonight? What? Maybe a… first blood match? Or is a cage gonna drop down from the ceiling locking us in here with these two psychos? So, tell me, what’s it gonna be? You obviously have it in for me. Let’s see what you got.”
The referee gets Masters' attention and encourages him to focus on the task at hand. Larry continues with the introductions.
Chris Master & Brian Myers vs. Shane Mercer & Madman Fulton
Joe: “I really don’t know what I have done to contribute to Chris Masters', what can only be called, paranoia. For the record, again, I do not ‘have it out for him’. Let’s just have a wrestling match.”
Myers starts out against Fulton and goes in the hole right away as Fulton hits him with three spinning powerslams and a gorilla press slam. The fans are going wild. Myers is getting battered and is feebly reaching for a tag, though not quite in the direction of his corner. Brian gets out of the way of a diving Fulton and clobbers him with a Pele Kick before tagging out to Masters. “The Masterpiece” goes after Fulton with a grudge. Fulton powders to the floor. Before he can catch his wind, Masters is upon him. Chris rams Fulton's back against the ring apron, causing the big man to buckle. Mercer needs to help his partner back into the ring. Flying shoulder block by Masters knocks Fulton down again. Cover for a two count. Fulton is hurting. Samoan Drop by Masters who tags Myers back in. Flying elbow smash by Myers. Cover. Foot on the ropes. Pele Kick from Myers knocks Fulton into his corner. Mistake! Mercer tags in. Myers tries to muscle Mercer up for a suplex but “The Iron Demon” just shakes his head. Dropkick by Myers. High knee catches Mercer hard. Spear! Myers with the cover. Kick out at two. Masters is back in. Sitout spinebuster, inverted atomic drop, cover. Two. Masters misses a standing leg drop. Mercer capitalizes with an effortless pop-up powerslam. With another amazing feat of strength, Mercer gets Masters up to the top turnbuckle for Moonsaultnbattery. Chris grabs for the ropes to avoid the pin. Mercer tosses Chris around some more. Moonsaultnbattery again! Foot on the ropes. Mercer pounds the mat. Masters evades an attack and puts Mercer down with a scoop powerslam. As Mercer shakes it off, Myers tags back in. Running clothesline knocks Mercer out of his boots. Mercer is taking too much damage and makes the hot tag to Fulton. The big man blitzes Myers who counters with a lifting DDT. Spear! Two count. Masters is back in. The pair tangle until Masters hits a scoop powerslam and goes for the pin. Mercer comes in to break it up. As the ref clears Shane out of the ring, Masters stalks Fulton from behind. Masterlock! Mercer moves for the save again but Swoggle comes out from under the ring and grabs his leg in a death grip. Mercer can’t shake him off. Fulton succumbs to Masters' hold. Been To The Show with the win!
Master looks in the direction of the commentary position an shouts: “I’ve beat your goon twice now. Have you had enough?”
Joe: “I don’t know what Chris Masters is talking about. The bad blood is between these two teams. I have nothing to do with it.”
Winners: Chris Masters & Brian Myers
Joe: “Well, fans, that about wraps it up for tonight. We’ll see next from Atlanta for Spirit of Unity and…”
Joe is interrupted by Nick Gage’s music kicking in. The crowd erupts and Gage comes through the curtain. He makes his way around ringside getting into it with his MDK Gang members. He gets in the ring and mean mugs. He barks at Larry to give him a mic.
“Where’s my gang at?!”
The fans roar in response.
“I don’t know about all you crazy motherf- but I want to know why the f- I wasn’t on this show.”
The fans rumble their agreement. “What is this sh*t, Joe? Huh? You trying to keep me off the show? Well I’m here motherf-.”
Gage stomps around the ring, fans yelling in approval. Gage stops abruptly. He looks around. Then nods to himself, recalling something that is missing.
“Biscuit!! Get out here!”
The crowd turns to the curtain and out steps Wes Barkley. He meekly walks out onto the stage of the Masonic Temple. He’s dressed in cutoff denim shorts and a pink tank top. His long, recently straightened hair is now dyed a silky platinum blonde. The fans don’t know what to make of it. Some cringe, others laugh. Someone can be overheard asking “Is that a wig?” It is not. There is a camera cut to Joe at the commentary position. His eyes are wide, jaw dropped, clearly at a loss for words.
“Since I’m here, I’m sure all of you want to see me destroy someone tonight,” Gage blurts and the crowd raves. “I tell you I’m in the mood to murder someone. So they better send someone out here. Right now!”
Some time goes by with nothing occurring and Gage is getting impatient.
“Someone is going to get their ass kicked. I don’t care who.”
Gage turns and looks to Wes with a dead expression on his face. There is fear in Wes’ eyes but he does nothing to alleviate his situation. Gage starts to circle Wes and things aren’t looking good for Barkley.
Incrementally, the crowd starts to notice something and their attention also draws Gage's to the stage. Joshua Bishop is standing there, still at first but a seething tremble begins to rattle his body. Gage grimaces and waves him on. “Bring it b*tch!”
Bishop charges across the stage, down the ramp to the ring and dives over the top rope into the ring, colliding with Gage. The place starts going crazy, matching the intensity of the brawl building to wild proportions in the ring. Joe: “This is exactly why I kept Gage off a show in Josh Bishop’s stomping grounds! We need to get these two separated!”
The fight moves out to the floor, into the crowd, and around the venue. Chairs fly, tables shatter, blood flows. Gage begins getting the better of Bishop until Josh delivers a nasty low blow that topples “The King”. As Gage writhes on the floor, Bishop gets to his feet, wearing a maniacal look on his face. He starts putting the boots to Gage. With his enemy unable to defend himself, Bishop takes up a steel chair, ready to lay waste. Just as he rears back with the chair, Wes dives in from off camera and covers Gage, protecting him with his body. Josh pulls up on his swing and looks down befuddled and exasperated. “Goddammit, Wes!”
Bishop grabs at Barkley, trying to pull him away from the prone Gage. Wes holds tight. Frustrated, Bishop tosses the chair aside and looks at the huddled mass on the floor, trying to make sense of it, his brain refusing to. He reaches down to once again try to separate his friend from Gage but security and officials have arrived. They haul off Bishop who offers little resistance, not able to account for what has happened.
After a moment, Gage sits up. He has a smile on his face and doesn’t seem to be as hurt as first believed. He chuckles to himself, looks at Barkley on the floor next to him, and chuckles some more. He’s helped up by a couple of his fans and he gets up on a chair. He beats his chest and raises his fists in the air. “That’s right, motherf-! Let’s go!”
The stream ends without Joe’s customary sign off.

Big win for KTB over 1/3 of the Major Players... Too bad Fulton & Mercer couldn't echo that outcome against the other two.
Really enjoying Veidt's continuing success... Not sure if there are plans for an ultraviolent title at some point, but he would have to be considered a front runner.
And oh, yes... Nick f'n Gage is still a dirt bag... There is some kinda conflict raging inside Wes Barkley... And the inevitable explosion won't be good.
Exceptional storytelling and hard hitting action... Up and down the card, my friend... Very nice work!

Very nice work! I don't think I can say it any better than Pariah. That win by KTB was huge and I also liked the interaction between Tony Deppen and Masha Slamovich. Your handling of Nick Gage is nothing short of brilliance. I could feel his rage coming off the screen. I loved that he wasn't booked but showed up anyway. Great stuff.

Very nice work! No plans for an ultraviolent title. PWIS management doesn't really want to get into the whole deathmatch scene. Then again, they might not have a choice. Nick Gage is about at the tipping point. Which way will it go and what happens after that? Year 2 is going to be a MFer. Thanks as always for the praise and comments!
