R.O.H. NEWSWIRE 10/20/14(Joey Styles is in the locker room.) JS: Fans only three huge events left and I have news on all three. First a two-night event "Survival of the Fittest" , Night One will be in Columbus, Ohio, Night Two will conclude in Toldeo. The winner will get a future shot at the R.O.H. World Champion at Final Battle 14'. The opening pairings will be announced for Night One at the end of this update but fans we must address the WWE. For most of this year, the WWE had it clear that they wanted to acquire Ring of Honor and make it there own personal minor league - so to speak. Triple H has been adamant that one way or another R.O.H. would be his. Most recently we saw an appearance by Undisputed WWE World Champion Brock Lesnar at our last event "Champions vs. All-Stars". Lesnar delivered a vicious F-% to Jay Briscoe as he was saving his advocate Paul Heyman from future harm. Fans it's clear that this situation continues to elevate in intensity and we can all only wonder when it all may come to an end. Well, watch this next video clip straight from Connecticut. (Triple H sits in his office) HHH: Good evening wrestling fans. I'd love to say that this little supposed rivalry that's been brewing between the largest sports entertainment company on the planet and you there at R.O.H. has been fun but frankly it's become nothing more than a pain in my ass. You see I'll admit that I underestimated a few things. I expected to already have R.O.H. under WWE control by now but the stubbornness of the locker room, Nigel McGuinness and ownership has not only confused me, it's made me wonder just why they are even fighting this battle in the first place. Still I'm a man that loves competitive and if R.O.H. insists on attempting to prove that they are better wrestlers I'd like to give them one final chance. You see one of the flagship shows in WWE - Survivor Series, maybe you've heard of it is set to go off at the end of November. There will be plenty at stake during that match and I would mind having my Authority team get a little warm-up before we wipe out John Cena and his merry band of losers. So here it is 5 on 5, R.O.H. - I'm putting all my chips on the table. If we win I get what I want. If you win we leave you alone forever. Plain and simple. Now if you'll excuse me I have another call. R.O.H. NEWSWIRE 10/28/14(Joey Styles is in the lockeroom.) JS: Hello fans, I'm Joey Styles here with the latest newswire. As you know the challenge was laid down by Triple H and the WWE last update. A Survivor Series matchup - five on five with the winner to get what they want. If the WWE wins then they would become the new owners of Ring of Honor and if R.O.H. wins then WWE is banished for good from Ring of Honor. As you can imagine the Internet has been abuzz with rumors and speculation regarding this latest challenge. And for a response we turn to a video from R.O.H. owner M.W. Jergs. (MW Jergs is in a posh board road flanked by his security duo.) MWJ: Hello R.O.H. fans. The time has finally come to deal with yet another threat to the style of professional wrestling that we proudly present here in Ring of Honor. But before I address Triple H let me go back about one year. As many of you know Steve Corino and S.C.U.M. had hoped to end Ring of Honor forever. And in the end at Final Battle 13' R.O.H. prevailed and S.C.U.M. was dissolved. It was during that time I called upon an old friend of mine - Vincent Kennedy McMahon. And it was over some time that we engaged in a business agreement. In order for Ring of Honor to survive I made decisions that were best for my company but also for other select individuals. El Generico was given a chance to ply his trade on the world's largest stage and for that we called on an old ROH alum in Daniel Bryan to help us continue to exist. It was a fair and equitable business decision between two businessmen. Then for some reason, the WWE started showing up at R.O.H. events and a man who we thought was a friend turned out to be an enemy. All because of one man - Hunter Hearst Helmsley. This man is no gentleman and he's certainly no businessman. As far as I'm concerned this business has played on long enough. It time to finish things. So if you are challenging Ring of Honor Mr. Helmsley. Then we accept! Contact my lawyers and the papers will be finalized. R.O.H. NEWSWIRE 11/2/14
(Nigel McGuinness stands before the camera.)
NM: Well fans you've heard it. Once again R.O.H. is under attack for our very existence and we will not fail against the WWE. With that in mind I have several announcement about the final three cards of this year. First I have the pairings for the "Survival of the Fittest" Tournament. The winner gets an ROH World Title Shot at Final Battle 14' in New York.
Secondly, there has been a ton of speculation as to who would be selected to represent Ring of Honor in the Five on Five Survivor Series match. I've given this a lot of thought and I feel that Kevin Steen will be our team captain and he will select the remaining four. He's held the title for almost the whole year and he deserves this chance to come through for ROH. The match will be held on Night Two of "Survival of the Fittest" so my understanding is that either way Final Battle '14 in New York will be held it's simply a matter of who will book the card, either myself of perhaps Triple H.
Ladies and gentlemen I'd by lying if I didn't say I was just slightly nervous about this whole thing but we've done it before and we can do it again. Tickets are on sale for all three cards.

November 7, 2014 Columbus, Ohio Columbus Expo Center
"Survival of the Fittest - Night One"
Year 2 - Card #18 (#37)
1) "Die Hard" Eddie Edwards beat ACH with the ACHILLES LOCK @ 8:55.
Edwards controlled most of the match and kept ACH from using his high flying skills.
2) "The Phenomenal" A J Styles beat Tommaso Ciampa by DISQUALIFICATION @ 11:35 when he refused to heed the officials warnings.
An exciting match here. Ciampa ground Styles and continued to level his driving knees into the corner. The ref asks him to stop but he stopped and then attacked the official. ROH security came to to subdue him.
3) Frightmare pinned Matt Taven (w/Truth Martini) with FRIGHT CRUSHER @ 9:25.
An upset of sorts as the masked man was able to gain the win and a spot in the scramble on Night Two. Martini was visibly upset and berated Taven as they left the ring.
4) Jay Lethal pinned "Lone Wolf" Davey Richards with the LETHAL INJECTION @ 14:51.
Richards came out to the ring by himself as RD Evans was not at ringside. Later in the match Richards was setting up for the Ankle Lock when Archibald Peck emerged from the locker room and stood up on the apron. Richards took a swing at Peck but he should have paid attention to Lethal who nailed him with his finisher.
5) "Unbreakable" Michael Elgin pinned Mike Bennett (w/Maria Kanellis) with the ELGIN BOMB @ 17:10.
Elgin seemed extra aggressive in this one and simply overpowered Bennett to the victory.
6) Adam Cole (w/ Steve Corino) beat "Knockout Artist" Chris Hero with PANAMA SUNRISE @ 14:11.
Corino and Martini battled on the outside as their charges fought on the inside. Cole was able to duck a Rolling Elbow an hit the Florida Key for a two count. He then set up the huge finish as the Panama Sunrise took him to he pay window.
-Tag Team Gauntlet- 7) ReDRagon defeated The Addiction, Bruderschaft des Kreuzes (w/Jakob Hammermier) & Forever Hooligans to win the title shot @ 33:45.
Match #1: The Addiction defeated Bruderschaft des Kreuzes when Daniels pinned Ares with the BEST MOONSAULT EVER @ 8:01. Match #2: The Addiction defeated Forever Hooligans when Frankie Kazarian pinned Rocky Romero with SLINGSHOT ELBOW @ 17:04. Match #3: ReDRagon defeated The Addiction when Bobby Fish pinned Frankie Kazarian with CHASING THE DRAGON @ 33:45.
-R.O.H. Television Title Match- 8) Roderick Strong © beat Delirious with SICK KICK @ 11:45.
-ROH World Title Match- 9) Kevin Steen © defeated "Scrap Daddy" Adam Pearce (w/Truth Martini) with SLEEPERHOLD SUPLEX @ 21:42.
Another successful title defense for Steen. After the match he took the mic and said that he was anxious for tomorrow night. A chance to defend a company that he's loved for so long. With that in mind he wants to announce his team of Five for Night Two. The first three are no surprise as he selects his Mount Rushmore cohorts. Roderick Strong, B.J. Whitmer, and Jimmy Jacobs. The last one is a bit of a surprise - a man that he's battled for years and someone that loves ROH almost as much as he does. Jay Briscoe.
