[/color]-THE 11TH SHOW OF SEASON 11-
-KING OF TRIOS-
-NIGHT 1-
Gavin Loudspeaker welcomes everyone in attendance, and then sings his King of Trios song. We then head to the ring to begin KING OF TRIOS!!!
1) La Secta (Cuervo, Ozz, Escoria) vs The Colony (Fire Ant, Soldier Ant, Green Ant)
Fire Ant and Escoria kick off the tournament immediately going after one another. Fire Ant took the advantage quickly causing Escoria to head to the floor. Cuervo hit the ring and met the same fate as Fire Ant continued to control the ring. Finally the large Ozz stepped in and asserted dominance over Fire Ant, wearing him down enough to blast him with La Darketa and get a near three count. As Ozz argued with the referee about a slow count, Fire Ant slid out of the ring, allowing Soldier Ant to hit the ring. Soldier Ant faired no better against Ozz, eventually tagging in Green Ant after sustaining quite a beating. Green Ant showed signs of taking on the monstrous Ozz, but eventually took La Darketa himself and was saved by Fire Ant. Ozz tagged in Cuervo, who were joined by Escoria for a series of trio stomps to the head and back. When order was restored, Escoria was taking it too the fallen Green Ant. Eventually Green Ant managed to fire back with a brutal elbow strike to the temple, that allowed him to tag in Soldier Ant. Soldier had enough of the beating that The Colony was taking and went to town on Escoria, Fire and Green Ant hit the ring and knocked Ozz and Cuervo off the apron, before blasting Escoria with Ants Go Marching for a super close two count. Another near fall came after a saluting headbutt, but Escoria snuck the shoulder up at the last possible second. Soldier tagged in Fire who sprung off the ropes and blasted Escoria with a kick. Ozz and Cuervo hit the ring, but were cut off by Soldier and Green. The four of them brawled to the floor, as Fire Ant signalled for and hit the Beach Break on Escoria for the One, Two, Three. The Colony narrowly pick up a win.
The Colony advance to Round 2
2) Super QuackSaw (Mike Quackenbush, Jigsaw, Super Crazy) vs The Batiri (Obariyon, Kodama, Kobald)
Kobald and Jigsaw to start the action, and Jig attempts a big suplex right away, but is met with a hard slap to the face. A double overhand chop and a jumping knee strike put Jig on the mat for a quick two count, and Kobald follows it up with The Demon's Toilet, but Jig manages to kick out at two. A leapfrog over a spear attempt, allows Jigsaw to tag in Quack. Quack wastes absolutely no time in hooking Kobald in one submission after another, and then dazzling him with a series of moves. A Quackendriver III drops the resiliant little goblin to the mat, but a well timed intervention from Kodama saves the day. Quack tags in Super Crazy to a huge pop from the crowd, and Crazy immediately goes for ten punches in the corner while the crowd counts along in Spanish. Crazy then drags Kobald into the corner and hits a Moonsault from the bottom turnbuckle, the middle turnbuckle, and then the top turnbuckle. Quack and Jig come across the ring and stop Obariyon and Kodama from interfering, as Super Crazy gets the three count and the win.
Super QuackSaw advance to Round 2
At this point, Delirious slinked out from behind the curtain and joined Obariyon and Kodama who stood staring at the fallen Goblin in the middle of the ring. With a nod, the three of them begin putting the boots to Kobald for about thirty seconds, then when they stopped Obariyon scooped Kobald off the mat, slung him over his shoulder and headed backstage.
3) 3.Ole (Scott Parker, Shane Matthews, El Generico) vs Team United Kingdom (PAC, Doug Williams, Paul Burchill)
No strangers to one another, El Generico and Pac began the match. Generico was absolutely on fire, drilling Pac with a vicious kick to the head, then dropping him a brutal scoop slam piledriver. A huge springboard moonsault led to a count of two. A follow up 450 Splash led to a near three count, and the follow up brainbuster led Doug William to interfere and save his partner. Burchill pulled Pac out of the ring as the referee tried to get Doug Williams out of the ring, making Doug the legal man. Doug charged Generico, who launched into a forward roll to avoid the charging Williams. Doug put on the brakes to turn and chase the rolling Generico, but when he did, he crumpled to the mat and grabbed his knee. The action in the ring stopped as the ringside doctor, several referees and Wink Vavvaseur all hit the ring to check on Williams. The doctor made the determination that Doug Williams could not continue, and the match was stopped.
3.Ole advance to Round 2
Doug Williams was helped from ringside, as the other five men in the match left the ringside area disappointed. A standing ovation was given to all of the men involved.
4) The Spectral Envoy (Ultramantis Black, Hallowicked, Frightmare) vs Team R.O.H. (Jay Briscoe, Mark Briscoe, Kevin Steen)
Before the match could begin, Ultramantis Black called for the ROH Champion, Kevin Steen to start the match with him. Steen was only to happy to oblige, spitting at Mantis as the bell rang. Steen barreled into Mantis and dropped him with a shoulder block. A running senton followed, and then Steen drug Mantis up by the mask and slapped him in the face. Mantis drilled Steen with a kick to the gut in retaliation, but Steen thumbed Mantis in the eye and whipped him into the corner. A big clothesline followed, which slumped Mantis to the ground. Steen went for a cannonball into the corner, but Mantis quickly rolled out of the ring causing Steen to crash into the mat, and tagging in Frightmare at the same time. Frightmare nailed a recovering Steen with a headscissors which sent Steen rolling across the ring and hard to the floor. Mark Briscoe leapt into the ring and threw a wild karate chop at Frightmare who ducked it, then drilled Mark head first into the mat with a spike frankensteiner. Mark stumbled to his feet on instinct and was met with a crucifix bomb that rocked him, but got him close enough for brother Jay to tag himself in. Frightmare charged Jay and was crushed with a release spinebuster. Jay drug the little guy to his feet and quickly dropped him with a Jay Driller for the One, Two, Hallowicked breaks it up. Briscoe is quickly too his feet and takes a swipe at 'Wicked who responds with a hard slap to the face. As Briscoe grabs his face, Hallowicked rolls Frightmare to the floor and then goes after Jay. Jay has recovered somewhat and blasts Hallowicked hard in the face with a super kick that sends him tumbling to the floor. Ultramantis is quickly in the ring and is met with a superkick of his own. Jay charges Mantis but is dropped throat first across the ropes with a stungun, Mantis snatches Briscoe and drills him with the Praying Mantis Bomb, but Kevin Steen breaks up the count at two. Mantis lifts Jay back to his feet, but Briscoe hits a short forearm to break his grasp, and leaps across the ring to tag Steen. Mantis goes right to work on Steen, attacking with a Mongolian Chop, and then dropping the big man with Cosmic Doom. He then tags Wicked, who runs at Steen for a big boot, but Steen ducks and Wicked crotches himself on the top rope. Steen clotheslines him to the floor, and turns around to meet the scare tactics of Frightmare. Steen smirks and drills Frightmare with a brutal forearm strike. Steen then powerbombs Frightmare HARD to the mat. While smirking at Mantis and Hallowicked on the apron, Steen destroys Frightmare with the Package Piledriver. Jay and Mark hit the ring to stop any kind of save, but somehow Hallowicked makes it past them and breaks up the count at two and nine tenths. The Briscoes begin brawling with Mantis and Hallowicked, and the four of them spill first to the floor and then into the crowd. Meanwhile Steen takes advantage of the distracted referee and delivers a low blow to the already incapacitated Frightmare before drilling him with a second Package Piledriver which secures the three count and the victory.
Team R.O.H. advance to Round 2
Intermission was called and it was announced that PAC and Ophidian were the first confirmed competitors for tomorrow night's opening round of Rey De Voladores.
5) Team Girl Power (Sara Del Rey, Christina Von Eerie, MsChif) vs F1rst Family (Arik Cannon, Ryan Cruz, Darin Corbin)
Sara Del Rey comes to the ring alone and asks for the microphone.
"As most of you probably already know, I was recently offered a contract by the WWE. As much as I love Chikara, and all of the independant leagues in which I compete, I have decided to take the offer as it will allow me to set myself up financially for my future. The WWE was kind enough to allow me to finish my bookings, which means while this will be my last weekend with Chikara, I will still be competing in this tournament. However, there will be a change to my team. Christina and MsChif saw the oppurtunity that was to be had tonight, and graciously stepped aside. You see, as part of my contract, and because just maybe they felt the slightest bit bad that they took Claudio and Brodie with very little notice, the WWE office has allowed a once in a lifetime oppurtunity to happen here in Chikara this weekend. So, please let me introduce to you the first member of my new team, my trainer...."The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson!!
"The Final Countdown" begins to blare into the arena as the crowd goes absolutely insane, as Daniel Brya....Bryan Danielson steps out from behind the curtain. The "Yes, Yes, Yes" chants are immediate as he makes his way to the ring. Once inside he hugs Sara, and takes the microphone from her. Before he can speak, a "Best in the World" chant breaks out.
"Thank You, thank you. But save some of that energy for our other partner. You see, I helped train Sara here to be the Queen of Wrestling, and hands down the best female wrestler in the United States, if not the world. That is something that will forever bond us, no matter where we end up. It's amazing that she and I can have the same kind of bond, that I have with the man who helped make me the best wrestler in the world....our partner....
WILLIAM REGAL!!!"
The arena becomes unglued as Regal steps out from behind the curtain. He heads to the ring, waving his Commisioner Regal wave and with a huge smile on his face. Once in the ring, he takes the microphone from Danielson and turns to the shocked members of the F1rst Family.
"Come on Sunshine, I haven't got all bloody day!"
Another huge eruption from the crowd follows, as the sides are set.
5) Team HUGE Surprise (Sara Del Rey, Bryan Danielson, William Regal) vs F1rst Family (Arik Cannon, Ryan Cruz, Darin Corbin)
Sara Del Rey and Ryan Cruz start the match, and she instantly obliterates him with a huge kick to the head that sends him crashing to the mat and rolling out of the ring. Hesitantly, Arik Cannon steps into the ring. Cannon and Del Rey exchange a series of holds and reversals, that ends with Sara blocking a Total Anarchy attempt and tagging in Bryan Danielson. Chants of Yes, Yes, Yes go up but are quickly replaced by Best in the World, as Danielson and Cannon lock up. Danielson goes right to work, hooking an arm and taking Cannon to the mat. Another series of reversals leads both men back to their feet to a round of applause from the crowd in attendance. Both men make tags and William Regal steps into the ring to a huge reaction. Darin Corbin is almost star struck as he shakes Regal's hand and the two square off. After a lock up, Regal grabs a side headlock, but Corbin shoots him into the ropes, and on the rebound he......grabs a slow motion armdrag. A slow motion sequence ensues which ends with both men squared off again as the crowd goes absolutely insane. Then from out of nowhere Regal kicks Corbin in the midsection and levels him with Knee Trembler. Regal shouts out "Villain" as he makes the cover, but Corbin manages to get his shoulder up at the last possible moment. Regal tags Del Rey back in, and she hooks Corbin in the Royal Butterfly and drills him with the suplex variant. Cannon breaks up the pin at two, and Del Rey tags out to Danielson. Cannon jumps in the ring and slides Corbin out to the floor, then rakes the eyes of Danielson. Cannon blasts The American Dragon with one of his vicious punches, then small packages him for a count of two. Danielson is blasted with the Glimmering Warlock as he starts to get up, but the count is broken by Regal. Cannon sets up for a lariat, but Danielson is able to duck into a forward roll and tag Regal. Regal grabs Cannon and connects with a brutal European uppercut, then hoists him over with a butterfly suplex, a cover follows which gets two. Regal sets up and blasts Cannon with the Knee Trembler, but the impact carries Cannon out of the ring. Ryan Cruz jumps in and charges Regal, but Regal nails him with a drop toe hold. Regal tags Del Rey who comes in and blasts the recovering Cruz with a koppo kick. Sara climbs to the top rope and waits for Cruz to get shakily to his feet, before launching herself into a flying cross body. Cruz manages to roll through and gets a two count on the shocked Sara. Cruz tags Cannon who immediately strikes Del Rey down with a Glimmering Warlock and gets a two count before Regal breaks it up. He rolls Sara out of the ring, and Danielson blasts Cannon from behind with a yakuza kick. Danielson pounced on the fallen Arik Cannon and locked in the Cattle Mutilation. Regal came across the ring and knocked the North Star Express off the apron. Cannon held out as long as possible, but eventually had to tap.
Team HUGE Surprise advance to Round 2
As the celebrating team of Danielson, Regal, and Del Rey head backstage, Cruz and Corbin help Arik Cannon up from the mat. Once he is steady on his feet he shakes the hand of Corbin, then shakes the hand of Cruz....AND THEN BLASTS CRUZ WITH A HUGE LEFT HAND!! Cannon grabs a stunned Corbin and drills him with Total Anarchy before he has time to react. Cannon then hits a recovering Cruz with The Glimmering Warlock, before heading backstage to a chorus of boo's.
6) Team World of Sport (Johnny Saint, Fit Finlay, Dave Taylor) vs The B.D.K. (Tim Donst, Jakob Hammermeier, Tursas)
Tim Donst delivered on his promise and delivered the monstrous Tursas. Jakob started the match against the legendary Johnny Saint, and didn't fare well, being tied up in knots almost immediately. Everything the young Hammermeier tried, was countered by Johnny Saint, until eventual frustration led Jakob to rake the eyes and choke Saint to the count of four. As referee Jon Barber admonished Hammermeier, Saint crawled over and tagged Finlay. Hammermeier pretty much ran for cover and tagged in Donst. Donst attempted to go to work, but Finlay had virtually none of it, rocking Donst with European uppcuts, and a bone jarring powerslam. Donst tried to make a comeback with an STO, but Finlay blocked it, knee'd Donst in the guts and spun him around for a tombstone piledriver. To add insult to injury, Finlay locked in the Celtic Knot, but it was broken up by Hammermeier. Finlay tagged Taylor and motioned for him to take his best shot on the fallen Donst. Taylor wasted absolutely no time and flattened Donst with his British Suplex for a count of two, and again Jakob had to save Donst. Taylor, with a smile on his face, drug Donst to his feet and peppered him with a series of punches to the stomach, but Donst jammed a thumb in the eye of Taylor. As Taylor grasped his face in pain, Donst crawled over and made a tag to the giant Tursas. Tursas stepped over the top rope and helped his partner Donst up off the canvas....THEN ANNIHALATED HIM WITH A CHOKESLAM!!! A stunned Jakob began to jump up and down on the apron, screaming at Tursas, but was quickly met with a huge headbutt from the giant viking that sent him crashing to the floor. Tursas snatched Donst back up off the canvas, and as the three members of Team World of Sport looked on, and planted his partner in the middle of the ring with the Kreuz Bomb. With a satisfied shake of his head, Tursas left his partner splattered in the ring and headed for the back. With a shrug of his shoulders, Dave Taylor walked over and covered the unconcious Donst for the three count.
Team World of Sport advance to Round 2
Chikara staff head to the ring, and along with Jakob Hammermeier carry the semi-concious Tim Donst to the back.
Bryce Remsburg and Gavin Loudspeaker come to the ring holding a hat. Gavin announces that they will now choose the members of the mystery team. Gavin pulls the first name and it's Bruno Sammartino!! Bryce runs to the back, then back to the ring and announce that Bruno is not there. Gavin draws another name and it's Brent Albright! Bryce runs to the back, and then runs back to the ring, and "I Don't Wanna Stop" by Ozzy Ozbourne begins to play as the former NWA Champion, Brent Albright makes his way to the ring!!
Gavin draws another name from the hat, and it's Eddie Kingston!! The music of "The War King" hits and Eddie comes to the ring, he nods his head at Albright and the two shake hands.
Gavin draws the final name from the hat, and it's "Sweet" Stan Lane! Bryce runs to the back, then back to the ring, to announce that Stan Lane is not in attendance. Gavin pulls another name and it's Rhett Titus! Before Bryce can go anywhere, Robert Palmer's "Addicted to Love" complete with Rhett Titus voice over hits the speakers, and Titus struts out to the ring, much to the chagrin of Kingston and Albright.
7) The Throwbacks (Dasher Hatfield, Sugar Dunkerton, Matt Classic) vs Team Drawn from a Hat (Brent Albright, Eddie Kingston, Rhett Titus)
Eddie Kingston and Rhett Titus argue over who is going to start for the team, eventually an angry Kingston tosses Titus to the floor, and turns around only to be immediately met with Air Dunkerton! Sugar quickly covers Eddie, but Brent Albright breaks up the count at two and a half. Sugar drags Kingston part of the way across the ring to get him out of his own corner, and picks him part way up and delivers a piledriver. Sugar covers again, but Kingston is able to kick out at two. Sugar tags Dasher, but in the mean time, Kingston rolls to the floor, allowing Albright to come in. The two men locked up and Dasher took the advantage with a headlock. After a half minute of wrenching the headlock, he sent Albright into the rope and went for a big clothesline. Albright however ducked, grabbed the arm and dropped down locking Dasher in the Crowbar!! Matt Classic came in and stomped Albright, breaking the submission. Albright got up and got into a shoving match with Classic, during which Dasher rolled from the ring. Classic and Albright exchanged shoves, then chops, then punches, until Classic scooped Albright into the airplane spin. Classic follows it by whipping Albright into the corner, Classic follows in for an avalanche, but Alrbight moves and Classic crashes into the corner. Albright rolls him up for the count of two. Classic continues to roll after he kicks out, and gets to the floor. Sugar runs into the ring and school boys Albright for the count of two. A shocked Albright gets to his feet only to get nailed with Air Dunkerton, but Brent got the shoulder up at two and a half. Sugar went for another move, but Albright hooked his tights and slingshotted him into the turnbuckle. Albright staggered to his corner and tagged in Rhett Titus. Titus entered and blasted Sugar with a double ax handle, then nailed him right in the face with a picture perfect dropkick. Titus picked Sugar up and whipped him into the ropes, Titus went for a clothesline, but Sugar ducked it. On the rebound, Titus kicked Sugar in the gut and then nailed him with the Thrust Buster. Sugar landed akwardly on his arm and screamed out in pain. Referee Jon Barber shoved Rhett Titus away and knelt down next to Sugar. After a moments conversation, Barber flashed the X with his arms and helped Sugar out of the ring. The bell rang signalling the end of the match, because Sugar Dunkerton could not continue.
Team Drawn from a Hat advance to Round 2
Sugar was helped from the ring by Dasher Hatfield, Dunkerton was clutching his right arm the whole way with a very pained look on his face.
8) F.I.S.T. (Icarus, Chuck Taylor, Johnny Gargano) vs Generation Next (Austin Aries, Alex Shelley, Roderick Strong)
Roderick Strong and Chuck Taylor start us off, and Strong wastes zero time catching a charging Taylor with a side backbreaker for a quick two count, the Gibson Driver immediately follows and Johnny Gargano breaks up the pin at two and a half. Strong lifts Taylor to his feet and rocks him with a huge chop, but Taylor leaps across the ring and tags Gargano. Strong looks unimpressed, and tags in Alex Shelley, who goes straight for Gargano. They lock up and Shelley takes control, working over Gargano with a series of head and arm locks. Shelley whips Gargano into the ropes and goes for a superkick, but Gargano ducks it and nails Shelley with an ace crusher. Gargano capitalizes and blasts Shelley with the Hurts Donut, but only gets a count of two. Gargano heads for the top rope and goes for a splash, but Shelley moves and Gargano splats onto the canvas. Shelley nails Gargano with a superkick when he gets back to his feet, and then tags in Austin Aries. Aries comes in and whips Gargano into the ropes, but Gargano nails Aries with a quick elbow on the rebound and tags in Icarus. Icarus and Aries trash talk for a minute before Icarus lands a hard slap to the face of Aries. Icarus grabs the stunned Aries and peppers him with a series of forearm smashes, and then scoops him up and drills him with Emerald Flosion. Icarus covers, but Aries kicks out at two. Icarus drags Aries off the mat and sets him up for a pedigree, but Aries counters it with a backdrop. Aries crawls over and tags Strong who kicks Icarus in the gut and then nails a particularly vicious powerbomb backbreaker, the Gibson Driver follows, and Chuck Taylor breaks up the pin. Strong nails Taylor with a big chop, and then gives the now interfering Gargano one of his own. Icarus was then plowed with a firemans carry gutbuster and tags back in a recovered Aries. Aries delivers a powerdrive elbow to the fallen Icarus, then lifts him and drills him with a brainbuster for the One, Two, Thr....NO, Gargano breaks up the pin. Strong and Shelley enter the ring and begin to brawl with Taylor and Gargano. All four of them fight out of the ring and brawl around ringside. Aries seeing an oppurtunity, lifts Icarus and drills him with another Brainbuster. Aries covers for the three count and the victory.
Generation Next advance to Round 2
Aries, Shelley, and Strong go out amongst the ChikArmy to celebrate, as Night 1 of King of Trios comes to a close.
