1)The Batiri vs Gekido - Losing Trio Must Leave Chikara
As soon as the bell rang all three members of The Batiri launched themselves across the ring like rockets and the brawl began. Referee Jon Barber immediately let the rules go out the window as all six men brawled all over the ringside area. After a solid five minutes, Obariyon ended up inside the ring with 17 and decimated him with a wrist-clutch exploder driver that nearly ended the match, with only CombatANT's last second save keeping it going. Kobald speared CombatANT seconds after he broke up the pin, while on the floor Kodama sent DeviANT into and over the guard rail. Kodama and Kobald sent CombatANT to the floor, and yanked 17 to his feet as Obariyon came off the top rope and destroyed him with the Flying DDT. The three count was an after thought, as the Chikara careers of The Gekido came to a screeching halt.
Winners: The BatiriGEKIDO MUST LEAVE CHIKARA2) The Shard vs "Mr. Touchdown" Mark Angelosetti
This one started off as a competitive back and forth contest between two of the hottest young up and comers in Chikara. The momentum swung back and forth several times in the opening minutes, with The Shard seemingly getting the better of any striking exchanges. The match came to an early end however when Mr. Touchdown caught The Shard coming off the ropes with a desperation Extra Point. Angelosetti was too beaten up to make the cover, but The Shard immediately began clutching at his shoulder and rolled out of the ring. Referee Dan Yost went to the floor and could be heard conversing with Shard, before calling for the bell and awarding the match to Mr. Touchdown because The Shard was unable to continue.
Winner: "Mr. Touchdown" Mark Angelosetti3) The Throwbacks vs A Mystery Team
As Dasher Hatfield and Sugar Dunkerton waited in the ring ready to earn a third point, the curtain parted and out stepped a slightly heavy set man wearing suspenders, dark sunglasses, and a bow tie. He strutted to the ring and grabbed the microphone from Gavin Loudspeaker."My name is Sidney Bakabella, and tonight I am bringing you the team who are going to take this territory by storm! Coming straight off a big money making run for Fritz in Texas....MAX SMASHMASTER, BLASTER MCMASSIVE....THE DEVASTATION CORPORATION!!!"
Out from behind the curtain stepped two face painted monsters who are definitely among the biggest men to ever compete in Chikara.3) The Throwbacks vs The Devastation Corporation
The two monsters hit the ring and immediately began to assault The Throwbacks. The one identified as Blaster McMassive hit an overhead belly to belly suplex on Dasher Hatfield that sent him nearly all the way across the ring, and caused him to roll out onto the floor. Max Smashmaster just battered Sugar Dunkerton with clubbing forearms, and then dropped several massive elbows on him while he was down. It only took about two minutes for Dunkerton to be set up and destroyed with a move that Bakabella called the Death Blow that saw McMassive hold Dunkerton in the air while the gigantic Smashmaster dove off the ropes and splattered Dunkerton into the mat. Bryce Remsburg counted the 1,2,3 and immediately began calling for assistance for Sugar Dunkerton.
The Devastation Corporation have 1 Point toward title contention.4) Tim Donst vs Jakob Hammermeier - Lumberjack Match
This one was a double cross from the very beginning. Donst sulked to the ring with his lumberjacks and stablemates Vin Gerard and Stigma. Jakob Hammermeier stepped out from behind the curtain and then to the surprise of everyone in attendance, the music of the BDK hit and Ares and Tursas came out behind Jakob. Hammermeier could be heard saying that he had some old friends who wanted to say hi to Tim with their fists.
All six men stood in the ring, and as Dan Yost was telling the lumberjacks to exit the ring, Tursas blasted Jakob in the back of the head with a clothesline. As Hammermeier was laid out on the mat, Ares and Tim Donst stepped into the center of the ring and embraced one another. Vin and Stigma took the opportunity to lay the boots to Jakob, but then Tursas nailed both of them with a double clothesline!
Tursas pulled Stigma up from the canvas and obliterated him with the Kreuz Bomb in the center of the ring. Ares and Donst alternated laying the boots to Jakob and Gerard as Tursas tossed the limp form of Stigma out of the ring onto the floor. Tursas then grabbed Gerard and Kreuz Bombed him in the center of the ring, before tossing him over the ropes onto the prone form of his partner Stigma.
Ares, Donst, and Tursas lined up in the center of the ring, the foot of Ares on the chest of Jakob and the three of them made the sign of the Bruderschaft des Kreuzes as the Chikarmy in the building booed fiercely.
The show went to intermission as Jakob was helped to the back, and the unconscious forms of Stigma and Vin Gerard were carried to the back door of the building and deposited outside. Leonard F. Chikarason then came to the ring and announced that Season 13 would begin with sixteen teams competing in Tag World Grand Prix! A show that would see The Bravado Brothers make a return to Chikara, as well as AC/DC of Arik Cannon and Darin Corbin. He then announced a very special guest.....
The curtain parted and out stepped The Mysterious and Handsome Stranger! He walked slowly to the ring, a noticeable brace on his right knee. He stepped into the ring and removed his cowboy hat and took the microphone from Chikarason."Ladies and Gentleman, five months ago I blew out the ACL in my right knee while wrestling here in Chikara. When it happened I was on a winning streak, and I was told I was a win or two away from a shot at the Chikara Grand Championship. The timing of the injury could not have been any worse for me, and I was left to wonder why. In these five months that I have been recovering and working toward a return to the ring, I have come to believe that this injury was karma. Karma biting me for the ruse that I was pulling on you the fans of Chikara, the ruse I was pulling on the boys in the locker room, and the ruse that I was pulling on the officials here in Chikara. I am living a lie, I am not really the Mysterious and Handsome Stranger....The Stranger reached up and removed his mask, revealing himself to be none other than......."I am Archibald Peck!!"The fans immediately break into a sarcastic but obviously light hearted "We are Shocked" chant."I know, I know, the ruse was a clever one, and I apologize for having to deceive you."The Chikarmy now breaks into a "We Forgive You" chant."For you see I had previously lost not one, but two Loser Leaves Chikara matches. I was able to return from the first loss due to the "I Wasn't Ready" clause that my lawyer RD Evans had written into my original Chikara contract. But then Wink VavaCube or whoever the heck he really was, turned my desire to compete against me and placed me in a no win situation with my career on the line. Being that it was a no win situation, I obviously didn't win and I was forced to leave again. So I created the facade of The Mysterious and Handsome Stranger to pull the wool over the eyes of everyone and allow myself to continue to compete in this company I have grown to love. But as I said, I have grown to believe that the injury occurred as a result of my deception. So I have come here tonight to reveal the truth to the world, and to apologize for besmirching the good name of Chikara with a lie."A louder "We Forgive You" chant rings across the arena."Thank You. Now that I have your forgiveness, I must ask for the forgiveness of those in charge. Mr. Chikarason, I could complain that I was robbed of my chance to compete in Chikara by Dr. Cube during his destructive reign as Director of Fun. I could argue that my record under the guise of The Mysterious and Handsome Stranger should be enough to get me reinstated. But instead, I only ask forgiveness for my deception, and let you know that while I am still not ready to return to active competition, around the time Season 13 begins, Archibald Peck will be ready to step inside this ring again, if only the Anonymous Director of Fun would see fit to grant me such an opportunity. Thank You Everyone!"Peck hands the microphone back to Chikarason who says he will pass along the message. A massive "Marchie Archie" chant fills the building.5) The Spectral Envoy vs The Osirian Portal
The second half of the show kicked off with one for the ages, as two of Chikara's veteran teams went to war. Hallowicked controlled the early parts of the match against both Amasis and Ophidian, Frightmare came in and scored a very near fall against Amasis after a Fright Crusher. Ophidian broke up the pin and rolled Amasis out of the ring. Frightmare continued to dominate against Ophidian until the slippery serpent managed to sneak in a low blow when Jon Barber was distracted. The Portal then went to work on him making frequent tags and attacking the oft injured knee of the Envoy member. For a solid ten minutes it seemed that Frightmare would be forced to submit or be pinned by the Portal, but as the match went past the twenty minute mark, he managed to make the hot tag to Hallowicked who came in and cleaned house. The end came when Frightmare hit a cross body block on Amasis that sent both of them sailing over the top rope and crashing hard to the floor. Barber was looking at the mess on the floor, when Ophidian ripped his own mask off of his head and tossed it to Hallowicked. When Barber turned around he saw the Osirian on the floor covering his face and Hallowicked standing with the mask in his hands, and immediately called for the Disqualification.
The Osirian Portal have 1 Point toward title contention.Ophidian and Amasis quickly left the ringside area as Hallowicked did his best to explain his case to Barber, but the Sheriff of Chikaratown was having none of it.
6) FIST (Gargano/Taylor) vs FIST (Gran Akuma/Icarus)
This one got started before the bell as Gargano slapped Gran Akuma in the face, and was then leveled with a big kick from Akuma. Taylor jumped on Akuma as the bell rang, and referee Bryce Remsburg sent Icarus out of the ring. Akuma went to work on Taylor for several minutes with kicks and strikes and continued to do the same when Gargano was tagged in. Eventually, Gargano raked the eyes, kicked Akuma in the knee hard enough to partially drop him, then planted him with a baby ace crusher. From there Taylor and Gargano were relentless in tagging in and out, working over Akuma with double teams, and keeping him cut off from Icarus. Taylor drilled him with the Sole Food, and scooped him up for the Omega Driver, but Akuma slipped over and forward rolled across the ring to tag in Icarus. The Winged Ring Warrior came in swinging, taking down both men with clotheslines, and drilling Taylor with a Shiranui that almost got a three count. The end finally came when Akuma and Taylor both went sailing over the top rope off an Akuma crossbody block. Gargano and Icarus hit the ring and Gargano reversed a waistlock, and lifted Icarus for the Hurts Donut, but Icarus managed to land on his feet in the middle of the turn, kicked Gargano in the gut and drilled him into the mat with the Wings of Icarus. Bryce Remsburg counted the One, Two, Three!!
Icarus and Gran Akuma have 1 Point toward title contention.
CHUCK TAYLOR AND JOHNNY GARGANO MAY NEVER TAG IN A CHIKARA RING AGAIN!!7)3.0 vs The Colony
Fall #1: The first fall went an amazing back and forth sixteen minutes with both teams doing significant damage to the other. Early in the fall Shane Matthews nearly got pinned after Ants Go Marching, but Parker was able to make the save. Control switched back and forth several more times, and the end finally came when Soldier Ant fell victim to the 3.0 Lung Blower moments after eating a Big Magic Spear and was covered by Scott Parker for the One, Two, Three.
3.0 win Fall #1Fall #2: Fire Ant came out of the box and blasted Scott Parker with a brutal leaping kick, then drilled him with the Beach Break. Parker managed to get his shoulder up at two. Soldier Ant came in and they drilled Parker with Ants Go Marching, but Shane Matthews broke up the pin. Several minutes later, Fire Ant hit another Beach Break, but this time the leg of Scott Parker was under the ropes. It took Soldier Ant springboarding off of the ropes and assisting Fire Ant in what looked like a Spike Beach Break to spell the end for Jagged.
The Colony win Fall #2Fall #3: Shane Matthews was pretty much a man alone after the beating his partner took in the second fall. He came in like a mad man nailing both Fire Ant and Soldier Ant with HEAD SCISSORS. He even managed to lock the Boston Crab on Fire Ant, but the Colony member was able to make the ropes. The Colony began to use frequent tags to wear down Matthews, and finally Fire Ant drilled him with the Beach Break, while Soldier Ant dove through the ropes and took out Scott Parker. Bryce Remsburg counted the One, Two, Three.
The Colony win Fall #3
FIRE ANT AND SOLDIER ANT, THE COLONY ARE THE NEW HOLDERS OF THE CAMPEONES DE PAREJAS!!!!8) Jigsaw vs Ultramantis Black
This one looked like it was going to end in a hurry as just three minutes into the match, Jigsaw attempted a tornado DDT, and Ultramantis some how stopped his momentum in the middle of the rotation and planted him head first into the mat with Cosmic Doom! Jigsaw managed to get his shoulder up at the last possible second and save his title. Mantis stayed on the offensive scoring several more near falls for the next several minutes, before Jigsaw finally bought himself some time after drilling Mantis with a superkick. Jigsaw then powdered to the floor to buy himself some more time, and was showered with boo's by a significant portion of the fans in attendance. From this point things went back and forth as the match soared past the twenty minute mark. Jigsaw nearly pinned Ultramantis after a missile dropkick that connected perfectly to the jaw. The end of the match came just short of the thirty minute mark as Ultramantis was attempting to superplex Jigsaw from the top rope. A struggle ensued that ended with Jigsaw delivering a gourdbuster to Mantis from the ropes hard to the canvas. Jigsaw perched himself on the ropes and waited for Ultramantis to start getting up, and when he did Jigsaw drilled him with a vicious double stomp to the back of the head that spiked Mantis into the canvas. Jigsaw then drug him to his feet and planted him with a brainbuster that secured him the One, Two, Three.
JIGSAW RETAINS THE CHIKARA GRAND CHAMPIONSHIP.Jigsaw raised the belt in the center of the ring and the reaction was certainly mixed. The body language of Jigsaw screamed of confusion as he looked around at the crowd. The Shard came to the ring with his shoulder in a sling, and hugged his friend, before they made there way to the back. Ultramantis was greeted with a rousing round of cheers when he recovered and got to his feet.
