-Chikara Presents- -The 12th Show of Season 12- -King of Trios: Night 1- 1) FIST (Icarus, Taylor, Gargano) vs Da Soul Touchaz (Richardson, Rockett, Acid Jaz) The early portion of the match saw Acid Jaz being worked relentlessly by Gargano and Taylor. After two near falls, Jaz managed to blow the Swiss Mist into the eyes of Johnny Gargano, which allowed Marshe Rockett to come in and take over on Gargano. Rockets Red Glare almost took Gargano out, but Icarus made the save and took over. Rockett kicked out of the Wings of Icarus, but had to be saved by Willie Richardson after taking a Blu-Ray. Willie did a number on Icarus, but Chuck Taylor blind tagged himself in, and blasted "Da Bomb" with a huge jumping boot to the face. Taylor was quick to take advantage of the fallen Richardson, hooking two hand fulls of tights and rolling him up for the One, Two, Three. FIST advance to Round 2 of King of Trios2) OI4K (Callihan, Crist, Crist) vs The Batiri (Obariyon, Kodama, Kobald) The Batiri blitzed Callihan and The Airborne as soon as the bell rang. A wild brawl ensued that had referee Jon Barber threatening to disqualify both teams. Once the men were sent to their corners and the dust cleared, Jake Crist was left in the ring with Kodama. The Batiri went right to work on Jake Crist, making frequent tags, and taunting the hot headed Callihan who continuously tried to get into the ring. The end nearly came when Kodama connected with his Blockbuster, but Callihan hit the ring to break up the pin. Kobald was in quickly to jump on Callihan, and they brawled to the floor. Kodama dove into the ropes, catching Dave Crist with a spear and sending both of them crashing hard to the floor. Obariyon quickly scaled the ropes, and delivered a picture perfect Flying DDT that spelled the end for Jake Crist. The Batiri advance to Round 2 of King of Trios3) The Colony (Fire Ant, Soldier Ant, Green Ant) vs The Unstable (Donst, Gerard, Stigma) Two time defending King of Trios champions The Colony looked to be in trouble early in the match as The Unstable cut the ring in half and worked Soldier Ant over for several minutes. Vin Gerard thought he had the win when he locked in the STF, but Soldier Ant managed to drag himself hand over hand to the ropes for the break. Moments later he would make the tag and Fire Ant would take over, delivering kicks to every member of the Unstable. Stigma ended up in the ring, and got the same treatment Soldier Ant endured as Green and Fire took turns working him over. Ants Go Marching nearly spelled his end, but Donst broke up the pin. Donstitution on Green Ant got yet another near fall, but Green Ant got his shoulder up. The end finally came at the twenty seven minute mark when Fire Ant dropped Vin Gerard with the Beach Break. Green Ant intercepted a Donst save, and Fire Ant got the pinfall. The Colony advance to Round 2 of King of Trios4) The Throwbacks (Hatfield, Dunkerton, Angelosetti) vs BlkOUT (Kingston, Ruckus, Blk Jeez) A nearly forty minute classic that had the fans in attendance on their feet chanting "Match of the Year" before it even ended. The early portion of the match was Jeez and Dunkerton going to war for almost ten minutes, a war that came to an end when Jeez nearly got pinned off a Grandslam Dunk, before Ruckus made the save. Ruckus then displayed his skills taking on all three members of The Throwbacks for several minutes, and nearly getting a fall on Mr. Touchdown. Eddie Kingston tagged into the match and was nearly taken out of his boots with Kiss My Converse. He ate not one, but two Grandslam Dunks and kicked out of both, before needing to be saved after a Mr. Touchdown Extra Point. All six men tagged in and out for the rest of the match, each man taking finishers from the other and either kicking out or being saved by their partners. The end finally came at 38:41 when Dasher Hatfield connected with the Suicide Squeeze on Blk Jeez and cradled him for the One, Two, Three as the other four men brawled trying to break up, and stop the break up of the pin. The Throwbacks advance to Round 2 of King of TriosIntermission followed, and when it ended an irate Eddie Kingston came back to ringside and ranted that he didn't come to King of Trios to lose, and tomorrow night he wants a fight. Sami Callihan was quick to come from behind the curtain and utter the same sentiments about not coming to lose and itching for a fight. Leonard F. Chikarason came to the ring and under the authority of the Director of Fun made the match for tomorrow night!!5) Team CWFH (Ryan, Cage, Mack) vs The Swarm (CombatANT, AssailANT, DeviANT) The Championship Wrestling from Hollywood team came with something to prove, and DeviANT was the unfortunate recipient of that. CombatANT and AssailANT both were involved in the match briefly, but the CWFH team utilized lucha rules to the fullest, tossing those two from the ring to make sure that DeviANT was in more often than not. Willie Mack was the first to lay a beating on DeviANT, smashing him with a T-Bone Suplex, a standing moonsault, and a brutal Samoan drop amongst other things. Brian Cage wasted no time picking up where Willie left off, nearly decapitating DeviANT with a discus clothesline, then planting him with Weapon X which would have finished the job had CombatANT not made the save. Joey Ryan was the last to take his shots at DeviANT, which the self proclaimed "King of Sleaze" enjoyed greatly. It was the top rope Mustache Ride that finished the job and scored the pinfall. Team CWFH advance to Round 2 of King of Trios6) Trio of Honor (Elgin, O'Reilly, Fish) vs The Sprectral Envoy (Ultramantis, Hallowicked, Frightmare) Hallowicked was fired up, making his return from injury, and he nearly single handily took out both members of the Ring of Honor Tag Team Champions. O'Reilly was the first to get in the way of Hallowicked and a huge Rydeen Bomb and Go 2 Sleepy Hollow nearly ended the chances for Team ROH. Eventually, O'Reilly was able to make the tag to Bobby Fish who almost immediately was plowed with the Graveyard Smash and nearly pinned as well. Frightmare came in and worked over Fish for some time, but eventually Fish was able to connect with a brutal kick to the guts that changed the momentum of the match. Michael Elgin was finally tagged in and rolled right over Frightmare, tossing him around like a rag doll for several minutes before Frightmare was able to tag in Ultramantis Black. Mantis tried everything in his play book to wear down Elgin, but the big man was having none of it. The end came at the seventeen minute mark when Elgin powerbombed Mantis hard into the turnbuckles, then demolished him with the Spinning Sit-Out Powerbomb for the One, Two, Three. Trio of Honor advance to Round 2 of King of Trios7) 3.Ole (El Generico, Parker, Matthews) vs Team PWG (Steen, Jackson, Jackson) Steen and Generico wanted to go at one another right away, but both the Bucks and 3.0 stopped that from happening right away. The first ten minutes of the match saw all the members of 3.Ole working Matt Jackson over by cutting the ring in half, making frequent tags, and working well together. An El Generico BRAINBUSTAHHHH should have been the end of Matt, but Steen broke it up and a huge brawl broke out between both teams. After things cleared out, Steen was in the ring with Scott Parker and after several minutes he connected with a Package Piledriver, but Generico was in and quickly broke it up. At that point, there was no stopping them as Steen and Generico went to war in the ring, out of the ring, and briefly in the crowd. The end of the match finally came at the twenty four minute mark, as Generico nailed a crossbody block that sent both he and Steen to the floor. Scott Parker rushed into the ring, only to be blasted with a Young Bucks double superkick. Shane Matthews came roaring in and was met with a double superkick of his own. While the first one only dropped him to one knee, the second one layed him out. A Young Bucks springboard spike tombstone spelled the end of the match, as Matthews was out, Parker was out, and Nick landed a plancha onto Generico as Matt made the cover. Team PWG advance to Round 2 of King of Trios8) ShardQuackSaw (Quackenbush, Jigsaw, Shard) vs The Extreme Trio (Scorpio, Van Dam, Rhino) The eruption from the crowd for the appearance of Rob Van Dam was deafening. Quack and Scorpio started the match, and from that point forward this one was a whirlwind of tags, big moves, and loud crowd reactions. The Shard was particularly brutal when he hit the ring, attacking Scorpio relentlessly and blasting him with two Shard Superkicks, though the pin was broken up by Rhyno. A little later in the match, Rhyno nearly cut Mike Quackenbush in half with the Gore. He didn't get a chance to cover because he knocked him clear out of the ring. The Chikara Grand Champion Jigsaw was in the ring when Rob Van Dam finally got tagged in, and the place went nuts as the two went move for move, bringing back memories of the old Jerry Lynn matches. The chaotic end finally came just shy of the twenty minute mark. Rhyno and The Shard were beating one another senseless in the middle of the ring. Shard lashed out with a Shard Superkick, but Rhyno ducked it and ran through him with the GORE!! Jigsaw hit the ring and blasted Rhyno with a superkick of his own, which only pissed the big man off. Rhyno charged for another Gore, but Jigsaw leapfrogged him, and Rhyno crashed into the turnbuckle. A superkick to the back of the head sent Rhyno to the floor. Scorpio hit the ring and plowed Jigsaw with a superkick of his own that sent the Grand Champion to the floor. Scorpio wasted no time diving out of the ring on top of Jigsaw to a huge crowd reaction. Quack and Van Dam met in the center of the ring and began to trade blows. RVD got the best of the exchange and delivered a series of kicks that slumped Quack down in the corner. Van Dam scaled the ropes on the opposite side of the ring and did the RVD thumb taunt. He failed to notice that Rhyno was holding a chair over the face of Mike Quackenbush, and when RVD connected with the VAN TERMINATOR, referee Bryce Remsburg had no choice but to call for the DQ, much to the dismay of the fans in attendance. ShardQuackSaw advance to Round 2 of King of TriosAfter the match ended, RVD and Scorpio were asking Rhyno what he was thinking, and Rhyno gave both men the finger which drew a round of boo's from the Chikarmy. He then yelled "I don't need this crap" and walked out of the ring. RVD and Scorpio stayed in the ring and shook hands with Jigsaw, Quackenbush, and The Shard. RVD then took the microphone and said that even though they may not win King of Trios, he and 2 Cold Scorpio would be back tomorrow night, and one of them would be going home Rey De Voladores!!! -Chikara Presents- -The 13th Show of Season 12- -King of Trios: Night 2- 1) Team CWFH (Ryan, Mack, Cage) vs The Colony (Fire Ant, Soldier Ant, Green Ant) Last year, The Colony became the only team to ever win King of Trios twice. This year they are intent on making it the Threepeat, and they came to the ring ready to go. Joey Ryan on the other hand came to the ring cocky and ready to show off. That didn't work out it in his favor. Joey actually took control early in the match and took time to pose and flirt with the ladies at ringside. He even went so far as to extend his hand to tag Brian Cage, only to pull his hand away and run his fingers through his hair. Eventually, Soldier Ant rocked his world with a Saluting Elbow Strike, and from that point on The Colony took turns working Ryan over. Frequent tags, brutal strikes, and painful submissions left Joey crawling for his corner. He would unfortunately for Team CWFH never make it, finally falling to Ants Go Marching. Cage and Mack shook hands with The Colony afterwards, and left their partner laying in the ring. The Colony advance to Round 3 of King of Trios2) Marshe Rockett vs 2 Cold Scorpio vs Ryan Taylor Elimination #1: At the fourteen minute mark, Ryan Taylor hooked 2 Cold Scorpio in the Muta Lock in the center of the ring. Scorpio did everything he could do to get out of it, but was forced to tap out. 2 Cold Scorpio has been Eliminated.Elimination #2: At the nineteen minute mark, Ryan Taylor connected with the Perfect Circle on Marshe Rockett and then hooked him into the Muta Lock. Rockett tried to use his long arms to crawl to the ropes, but it was no use. Marshe Rockett has been Eliminated.Ryan Taylor advances to the Rey De Voladores Finale!3) ShardQuackSaw (Jigsaw, Quackenbush, Shard) vs The Throwbacks (Hatfield, Dunkerton, Touchdown) A fantastic twenty five minute match that showcased the spirit of Chikara and what King of Trios is all about. The first ten minutes had all six men tagging in and out and exchanging moves. The first near fall came when Dasher Hatfield connected with the Grandslam on Chikara Grand Champion Jigsaw, who had to be saved by The shard. Shard scored the next close fall himself, nearly decapitating Sugar Dunkerton with a Shard Super Kick and getting a two and nine tenths before Mr. Touchdown made the save. The end came when Jigsaw and Shard nailed a double superkick on Sugar Dunkerton that sent him sailing out of the ring. Dasher Hatfield hit the ring and scooped up a charging Jigsaw and planted him with the Suicide Squeeze. Shard charged at Hatfield when he got back to his feet and a huge clothesline sent both of them sailing out of the ring and hard onto the floor. Quack and Mr. Touchdown hit the ring, and Quack leapfrogged over a 3 Point Stance attempt, and blasted Touchdown with a palm strike. He then planted him with the rarely seen Quackendriver IV and covered him for the One, Two, Three. ShardQuackSaw advance to Round 3 of King of Trios4) AR Fox vs Ophidian vs Shane Strickland Elimination #1: At the eleven minute mark, AR Fox rocked Shane Strickland with a dropkick that sent him sailing into the turnbuckles. Fox then set him on the top rope and connected with the Lo Mein Pain for the One, Two, Three. Shane Strickland has been Eliminated.Elimination #2: At the eighteen minute mark, Ophidian went for a frankensteiner from the top rope, but AR Fox managed to hold on to the ropes, and then sail off with a huge missile dropkick that sent Ophidian across the ring. AR Fox quickly drug him into position and connected with a stunning 450 Splash for pinfall and the victory. Ophidian has been Eliminated.AR Fox advances to the Rey De Voladores Finale!Gavin Loudspeaker hits the ring to announce intermission, but Eddie Kingston comes quickly to ringside and says that intermission can wait, because he wants a fight, and Sami Callihan had better get his ass to the ring right now!!5) Eddie Kingston vs Sami Callihan - No DQ, No Count Out, Falls Count Anywhere Sami Callihan wasted no time, coming through the curtain like a bullet and the brawl was on. This quickly turned into a VERY Un-Chikara like match, that saw Kingston and Callihan brawl in the crowd, smash each other with chairs, run each other into walls, and crash the Smart Mark Video table into pieces scattering merchandise everywhere. Callihan hit three consecutive suicide dives onto Kingston, the last of which sent both men into nearly the third row of chairs. Sami attempted a Headlock Driver on the floor, but Kingston shoved him into the ringpost and then connected with a Backfist to the Future to the back of Callihan's head, but Sami somehow managed to kick out. The end finally came when Sami drug Kingston onto the apron and called for the Headlock Driver again, but Kingston hoisted him into the air and delivered a belly to back suplex that saw Kingston crash hard onto the unforgiving apron, but saw Callihan crash head first into and through a table that they had set up at ringside. Kingston rolled half concious off of the ring apron and landed hard on Callihan who lay in a heap on the floor. Jon Barber counted the One, Two, Three and declared The War King the winner. Winner: Eddie KingstonKing of Trios went to intermission as members of the Chikara staff helped both men backstage, and then went to work cleaning up the mess that had been made.6) Trio of Honor (Elgin, Fish, O'Reilly) vs The Batiri (Obariyon, Kodama, Kobald) The Batiri attacked en masse as the bell rang and Bobby Fish was caught in the ring alone. For several minutes all three members of the Demonic Trio tagged in and out and just worked Fish over. Every time he managed to get a sense of hope, a double or triple team would cut him off. Kodama connected with the Blockbuster and nearly got the three count, but Kyle O'Reilly made the save. Finally after Kobald missed a clothesline attempt, Fish was able to roll himself out of the ring. Elgin came in and absorbed somewhere around eleven Kobald clotheslines, all of which made him smile. He then hoisted Kobald into the air for a suplex that lasted until a Chikarmy count of 75. Both Kodama and Obariyon tried their luck against Elgin, and both fared about the same. Obariyon was nearly pinned after taking a massive powerbomb, but Kobald made the save. Eventually, Elgin tagged out to O'Reilly who came in and kicked each member of The Batiri thoroughly. The end finally came when Kodama went for a leapfrog on O'Reilly but landed akwardly on his ankle and staggered a bit. Kyle blasted him in the head with a kick, dropped him with a butterfly suplex, and then rolled through into a submission. Obariyon and Kobald entered the ring, and were immediately nearly decapitated with an Elgin double clothesline, and Kodama tapped out. Trio of Honor advance to Round 3 of King of Trios7) Amasis vs El Generico vs Ruckus Elimination #1: At the twelve minute mark, Ruckus forward rolled out of the corner to avoid an El Generico Ole Kick. He then nailed a stunned Generico with a brutal superkick, and drilled him with The Hate Crime and got the One, Two, Three! El Generico has been Eliminated.Elimination #2: At the fifteen minute mark, Amasis planted Ruckus with an Egyptian Conniption for the One, Two, Thr..NO!!! Ruckus kicked out!!! Amasis jerked Ruckus back to his feet, but Ruckus spun into a reverse Pele kick kinda thing and caught Amasis on top of the head with his foot. Amasis rocked back into the buckle, and Ruckus executed The Razzle Dazzle, but Amasis moved at the last possible second and delivered a second Egyptian Conniption and covered for the One, Two, Three. Ruckus has been Eliminated.Amasis advances to the Rey De Voladores Finale!8) Team PWG (Steen, Jackson, Jackson) vs FIST (Icarus, Taylor, Gargano) Kevin Steen started the match for his team and manhandled both Johnny Gargano and Chuck Taylor quite a bit in the opening minutes. Both of them seemed reluctant to tag Icarus, but when they finally did, Icarus came in like a house of fire, only to get clotheslined nearly out of his boots. Steen tore the t-shirt off of Icarus and freaked out when he saw the back tattoo. He and both of The Young Bucks then attempted to use back rake after back rake to remove the offending eye sore, but it didn't work. From this point, the action was fast and furious for nearly twenty five minutes. The end came when Johnny Gargano attempted Hurts Donut on Steen, but was unable to lift him and caught a back elbow for his troubles. The Young Bucks then hit the ring and double superkicked Gargano which sent him out of the ring. Taylor entered, but was met with double superkicks of his own. Icarus entered, and managed to duck the double superkicks, and nail a spear on both members of The Young Bucks. Kevin Steen took advantage of the chaos to kick Icarus hard in the groin from behind, and then drilled him with a Package Piledriver. Both Jackson's dove onto Gargano and Taylor on the floor, as Steen covered Icarus for the One, Two, Three. Team PWG advance to Round 3 of King of TriosAfter the match ended both Gargano and Taylor re-entered the ring and glared at their fallen partner. Eventually, reluctantly, they helped Icarus to his feet, and were making sure he was okay, when out of nowhere Gargano grabbed him from behind and planted him into the mat with a Hurts Donut. Taylor looked at Gargano as if to ask "What the Hell?" and then shrugged his shoulders and started laying boots into the fallen Icarus. Gargano shrugged his shoulders with a big smile on his face and then joined Taylor in stomping Icarus. The two men conferred for a moment and Icarus was pulled to his feet and Taylor picked him up in an inverted razor's edge. Gargano then delivered another devastating ace crusher as Taylor tossed Icarus. A roar erupted from the Chikarmy as the curtain parted, and GRAN AKUMA raced toward ringside. Taylor and Gargano stopped their assault and stared at him, while Akuma looked from them to the fallen Icarus and back to them. Gargano began to yell "isn't this what you've been waiting for?" while Taylor followed it with "STOMP HIM, STOMP HIM!" A smile crossed the face of Akuma and he began to nod his head and advance on the fallen Icarus. He came to stand beside him and again looked to Taylor and Gargano who were nodding their heads and smiling. Akuma's smile grew wider, and he nodded his head again.....BEFORE KICKING JOHNNY GARGANO HARD IN THE FACE. Chuck Taylor was to stunned to react, and took a rolling kick in the guts, then a hard upward kick in the face. He staggered to the ropes, and was clotheslined to the floor by Akuma. Akuma turned to see Gargano charging him, and ducked down to deliver a huge back body drop to Gargano who crashed into Taylor on the floor. Gran Akuma turned back around to see Icarus about half groggy on the ground staring at him in disbelief. The two men locked eyes, as the fans in attendance began to chant "FIST, FIST, FIST." After what seemed like an eternity, Gran Akuma extended his hand to Icarus. Icarus accepted it, and Akuma pulled him to his feet. The two men stared at each other for another moment and then Akuma spoke something. Icarus dropped his eyes and slowly nodded his head, and then was pulled into an embrace by his former partner. The Chikarmy went absolutely wild as the original incarnation of FIST has reunited!!!9) Rob Van Dam vs Blk Jeez vs ACH Elimination #1: At the nine minute mark, Rob Van Dam connected with a springboard back kick that knocked Blk Jeez nearly out of the ring. RVD drug him into center and scaled the turnbuckles. The whole arena (ACH included) did the thumb taunt, and Blk Jeez was decimated by a Five Star Frog Splash and RVD got the 1,2,3. Blk Jeez has been Eliminated.Elimination #2: At the fifteen minute mark, after a spectacular back and forth display of aerial wizardry, RVD dropped down as ACH attempted a leapfrog, and rolled him into a body scissors cradle, and scored the three count and the fall. A stunned ACH could only shake his head and shake the hand of the man who had just used experience to defeat him. -Chikara Presents- -The 14th Show of Season 12- -King of Trios: Night 3- 1) The Colony (Fire Ant, Soldier Ant, Green Ant) vs Team PWG (Kevin Steen, Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson) Kevin Steen started the match, taking it too each member of The Colony one after the other before growing frustrated with their resilience. He tagged Nick Jackson in, and Soldier Ant immediately grounded the high flyer and worked him over for several minutes with a series of holds and strikes. Green Ant was tagged in and continued keeping Nick on the ground, and nearly forced him to tap out to an Indian deathlock. Fire Ant was tagged in and the Beach Break would have been the end had Steen not interfered. Nick used the distraction to roll from the ring, and Matt came in and nailed Fire Ant with a superkick. Soldier Ant entered the ring and layed out Kevin Steen with a saluting roaring elbow before eating a superkick of his own. Green Ant hit the ring, caught a Matt superkick and hooked him into the Good Luck Cloverleaf. Jackson was able to make the ropes, but the damage had been done. Green worked Jackson for several minutes, never allowing him anywhere near his corner. Finally, the frustration of Kevin Steen boiled over and he hit the ring to attack Green Ant, only to be decimated by a Fire Ant leaping kick from the top. Fire Ant then bolted across the ring and knocked Nick to the floor. The Ant Hill followed on Matt, and while Green Ant covered him, Soldier and Fire hit stereo dives onto Steen and Nick. Referee Bryce Remsburg counted One, Two, Three. The Colony advance to the Finals of King of Trios!!!2) ShardQuackSaw (Mike Quackenbush, Jigsaw, The Shard) vs Trio of Honor (Michael Elgin, Bobby Fish, Kyle O'Reilly) Michael Elgin and The Chikara Grand Champion Jigsaw started this one, and put on a solid five minutes of back and forth action that had the Chikarmy going wild. Bobby Fish and Mike Quackenbush were in next, and the two of them engaged in a series of back and forth technical wrestling, which Quack got the best of. Kyle O'Reilly came in and initiated a strike battle with Quack that ended with Quack blasting Kyle with a palm strike, which O'Reilly totally ignored and blasted Quack in the head with a huge kick. Kyle them stumbled to his corner and tagged in Michael Elgin. Elgin dead lifted Quack off the mat and held him up for a fifty second suplex, before The Shard had enough and blasted Elgin hard in the face with a superkick. The match broke down at this point, as Jigsaw and Kyle O'Reilly broke into a kick exchange in the center of the ring, as Bobby Fish attacked The Shard. Both Quack and Elgin rolled to the floor in the chaos that ensued. O'Reilly got the best of the kick exchange and then tossed Jigsaw onto the floor next to Quack. O'Reilly then called for some sort of dive onto the two men, but a Shard Superkick from out of nowhere knocked O'Reilly out of the ring and nearly head first into the floor. Bobby Fish grabbed The Shard from behind and attempted to German suplex him, but Shard fired off a series of elbows that left Fish staggered. Another perfectly placed Shard Superkick sent him to the mat hard. Quack and Jigsaw grabbed the massive legs of Elgin as he tried to get back in the ring, and The Shard covered Fish. Elgin managed to shove off both guys and leapt for the save, right as the hand of Jon Barber hit the mat for the three count. ShardQuackSaw advance to the Finals of King of Trios!!!3) 12 Team Tag Gauntlet!! Team #1: Scott Parker and Shane Matthews, 3.0! Team #2: Psycho and Killer, THE TEXAS HANGMEN!!!! Jeez was quickly in to check on him as was referee Dan Yost. Yost quickly called to the back, where the other officials came quickly to the ring, followed by the Athletic Commission doctor in attendance. They all hovered over Ruckus in a very scary scene for several minutes, and eventually he was carried from the ring by his partners and the referees.Team #8: El Hijo Del Ice Cream and Ice Cream Jr, Los Ice Creams!!! GRAN AKUMA AND ICARUS HAVE 3 POINTS!!!!!An irate Gargano hit the ring and blasted Icarus with a superkick, then caught Gran Akuma with a low blow as he attempted to enter the ring. Gargano pulled Taylor to his feet and the two of them then went to work laying the boots to both Icarus and Akuma. Eventually a herd of referees and Wrestle Factory students ran them off and helped Akuma and Icarus to the back.4) Jakob Hammermeier vs Joey Ryan This match wasn't really much of a match in the end. After the bell rang, Joey Ryan slid to the floor and spent to the count of nineteen hitting on every female he could find in the crowd. He slid back in to avoid the count out, and then ducked under multiple lock up attempts by Jakob to run his hands into his chest hair, hoist his leg onto the ropes, and make call me hand signs to the girl in the front row. Jakob finally had enough, and blasted Joey in the face with a huge right hand that left Ryan laid out on the mat. Jakob placed a foot on his chest as the referee counted the three. Jakob then yelled that he was coming for Donst and his new friends. Winner: Jakob HammermeierBefore the next match could begin, Dr. Cube came to the ring followed by the three members of The Swarm. Cube ranted and raved that he was going to destroy Ultramantis Black and that he would win Cibernetico and force Ultramantis to leave Chikara in shame. He stated that in order to do that, he needed the strongest army possible, so he had done the unthinkable to ensure his victory.
Cube then reached into a pocket of his coat and produced an item that everyone thought was destroyed, The Eye of Tyr. Cube hoisted the ancient artifact into the air, and as he did so, the curtain parted and out stepped a man, no a monster that had not been seen the end of last season.....
The massive Tursas came to the ring and stood menacingly behind Dr. Cube. Cube then launched into a second diatribe about how in order to maintain the strongest army with which to defeat Ultramantis Black, that at times a weak link must be purged for the good of all.
It was then that Tursas brought his massive arm clubbing down across the neck of AssailANT. CombatANT and DeviANT stood motionless as the monstrous Viking warrior battered their partner around the ring, finally planting him in the center of the ring with the Kreuz Bomb.
Cube then hefted the Eye of Tyr into the air and left the ring, Tursas following closely behind, DeviANT and CombatANT a little further behind yet. They all marched to the back, leaving the unconscious form of AssailANT layed out in the ring.5) Ryan Taylor vs Amasis vs AR Fox vs Rob Van Dam - Rey De Voladores Finale!! Elimination #1: At the seven minute mark, Amasis planted AR Fox with the Egyptian Conniption and eliminated him. Elimination #2: At the thirteen minute mark, Ryan Taylor attempted a flying cross body block, which RVD ducked and Taylor splatted onto the mat. Rolling Thunder followed and Van Dam covered for the One, Two, Three. Elimination #3: At the eighteen minute mark, Rob Van Dam connected with the 5 Star Frog Splash onto Amasis! The three count was mandatory! ROB VAN DAM IS THE SEASON 14 REY DE VOLADORES CHAMPION!!!6) The Colony vs ShardQuackSaw - Kings of Trios Final Thirty six minutes of solid action from the final two teams of a sixteen team field. One, the two time reigning and defending King of Trios champions. The other consists of The Chikara Grand Champion, the father of Chikara, and one of the hottest up and comers Chikara has ever seen. Green Ant and Mike Quackenbush started things off with a brilliant exchange of technical wrestling, submission holds, and counters to everything the other man tried. Fire Ant and Jigsaw cycled in and the two of them put on an aerial counter clinic, rolling, jumping, and cartwheeling to avoid each others kicks. At an impasse they shook hands and tagged in Soldier Ant and The Shard. A strike battle ensued that left people in the crowd cringing, and both men barely standing in the center of the ring. On it went from there, all six men engaging one another, finisher being executed, pins being broken up, and everything in between. The end finally came as Jigsaw attempted a crossbody block on Green Ant who managed to catch him, but it took him off balance and both men tumbled over the top rope to the floor. Fire Ant was quickly into the ring, and was immediately devastated by a Shard Superkick that caught him in the side of the head. Soldier Ant wasted no time, throwing a roaring elbow into the back of The Shard's head that sent him to the floor. Quack was in and went for a palm strike, which Soldier Ant ducked. Soldier attempted a saluting forearm strike, but Quack ducked that and scooped Soldier Ant up and nailed him with the Black Tornado Slam. Quack went for a cover, but Green Ant broke up the pin by dragging Quack to his feet. Quack stunned Green Ant with a palm strike, and then Green Ant was nearly taken out of his boots by a Shard spear. Fire Ant jumped from the top rope and blasted Quackenbush with a big kick that sent him crashing into The Shard. Jigsaw came back into the ring and blasted Fire Ant with another superkick that put him down hard. Soldier Ant grabbed Jigsaw and planted him with the TKO. The Shard got back to his feet and blasted Soldier Ant with a Shard Superkick, but Soldier Ant remained standing. Shard let loose a roar and sent another blistering superkick toward Soldier Ant, who ducked and the kick caught Mike Quackenbush square in the face. Green Ant used the last of his energy to tackle Shard through the ropes, where both of them crashed hard to the floor. Jigsaw got back to his feet and charged Soldier Ant, who backdropped him over the top rope onto the pile of Fire Ant, Green Ant, and The Shard on the floor. Quack was half way back to his feet when Soldier Ant saluted him and then scooped him up for a second TKO. Soldier Ant then covered for the One, Two, Three. WINNERS AND THE SEASON 14 KING OF TRIOS: FIRE ANT, SOLDIER ANT, GREEN ANT.....THE COLONY!!!!!!The Shard grabs the microphone from Gavin Loudspeaker and slides back into the ring. "Last year, I was one of the men who attacked you and ruined the moment of your King of Trios win. This year, I would like to be the first to congratulate you." The Shard shook hands with all three Colony members. Jigsaw and Mike Quackenbush followed suit, then the three of them raised the hands of the The Colony into the air. The show ended with Leonard F. Chikarson presenting Fire Ant, Soldier Ant, and Green Ant with their King of Trios medals. The Colony then went out into the Chikarmy to celebrate. Grand Champion - Jigsaw def. CHIKARA EVENT CENTER: NIGHTMARE PLANET In the MAIN EVENT of the evening, Jigsaw looks to make his Tenth defense of the Chikara Grand Championship but he will have to do so against the man who knocked him out and pinned him a few months ago, a very hot Jakob Hammermeier. In Atomico's action, the four teams currently most involved in the title scene come together whether they want too or not. Campeones De Parejas, The Osirian Portal team up with Jake and Dave Crist, The Irish Airborne who currently sit at two points. Opposing them will be Gran Akuma and Icarus, the original FIST who acquired 3 points in one night and will challenge for the titles. Their partners will be longtime rivals, and current holders of two points Fire Ant and Soldier Ant, The Colony! In singles action, Ultramantis Black looks to get revenge against the masked 17 who cheated his way to a singles victory over the leader of The Spectral Envoy not long ago. Mike Quackenbush and The Shard head into tag team action against the recently returned Vin Gerard and Stigma of The Unstable. Both teams are looking for points, but the underlying bad blood between Quack and The Unstable is likely to boil over. "Mr. Touchdown" Mark Angelosetti is not happy with direction that his rookie season has taken. He looks to turn it around against the newly Unstable, Tim Donst. Finding himself without a tag team partner, ACH steps into Chikara singles action against Kobald of The Batiri. -Chikara Presents- -The 15th Show of Season 12- -Nightmare Planet- 1) ACH vs Kobald This match never got started as Dr. Cube came from behind the curtain with the Eye of Tyr and led Tursas toward the ring. Once they arrived he commanded Tursas to enter the ring and destroy ACH. ACH immediately attempted to fight Tursas with his speed and agility, but he got caught on an Asai moonsault and planted into the canvas with a powerslam. The Kreuz Bomb followed and left ACH sprawled in the center of the ring, where Kobald mockingly covered him. Dr. Cube took the microphone and began to taunt Ultramantis Black about the upcoming Cibernetico, saying that Tursas was his ultimate weapon, and that later tonight his general would be revealed, and his team would be complete, and the time of Ultramantis in Chikara would be nearly over. ACH was helped from the ring after Cube and his men headed to the back. The Match was a No Contest.2) Mike Quackenbush & The Shard vs The Unstable (Vin Gerard & Stigma) This one didn't last long as Stigma immediately taunted Mike Quackenbush, who still holds a grudge and went after him with a rarely seen ferocity. They eventually tumbled to the floor and brawled around the building as Shard and Vin Gerard went at it. Vin held his own, but got caught and planted with a Jig 'n' Tonic on a sunset flip attempt. The Shard Superkick followed it up and Vin was out. Shard covered for the One, Two, Three. Mike Quackenbush and The Shard have 1 Point toward Title Contention.3) Tim Donst vs "Mr. Touchdown" Mark Angelosetti Angelosetti started the match strong, dazzling Donst with both his speed and power. A frustrated Donst tried to use his wrestling prowess, but Touchdown continued to mow him over with power moves. The shift in momentum came when Donst resorted to jamming a thumb into the eye of Angelosetti, and moments later hitting a low blow when the back of Jon Barber was turned. From there Donst never let up, finally planting Touchdown with the SDT for the victory. Winner: Tim Donst4) Los Ice Creams vs The Spectral Envoy vs The Young Bucks vs The Swarm Elimination #1: CombatANT attempted to Pearl Harbor Hallowicked as the bell rang, but Hallowicked ducked it, and blasted him in the face with a huge running boot. He then covered a stunned CombatANT for the 1,2,3. The Swarm have been eliminated.Elimination #2: Frightmare took a tremendous amount of damage at the hands of The Young Bucks. Just as Nick Jackson was going in for the kill, Ice Cream Jr. tagged himself in and blasted Frightmare with a huge running bicycle kick. Hijo hit the ring and El Asesino spelled the end of Frightmare. The Spectral Envoy have been eliminated.Elimination #3: Nick Jackson was quickly into the ring and attempted to hit El Hijo Del Ice Cream with a superkick. Hijo ducked it and hooked the leg of Nick Jackson, rolling him up for a shocking One, Two, Three!! The Young Bucks have been eliminated.Matt Jackson wasted no time blasting Hijo Del Ice Cream in the back of the head with a superkick. Ice Cream Junior fared no better, eating a double superkick as he tried to enter the ring. The Young Bucks continued their performance as sore losers, laying out Hijo Del Ice Cream with More Bang for Your Buck before sauntering away from the ring. Los Ice Creams have 2 Points toward Title Contention!5) Ultramantis Black vs 17 As the bell rang, 17 darted across the ring and kicked Ultramantis Black squarely in the groin. Referee Bryce Remsburg immediately called for the disqualification. Winner: Ultramantis BlackAs Mantis writhed in pain on the mat, Dr. Cube came waltzing out from behind the curtain followed closely by Tursas, Kobald and The Swarm. He grabbed the microphone from Gavin Loudspeaker and got into the ring with his contingent. "Ultramantis Black, I know not whether you have found seven men willing to go to slaughter with you at the Cibernetico. But after ridding ourselves of the dead weight known as AssailANT, I found my army short one man. Fortunately for me, there are so many who hate you as I do, that the answer came to me. Introducing the eighth and final member of my Cibernetico Army.........ARES!!!" The music of the BDK hits as Ares makes his first appearance in Chikara since High Noon. He comes to the ring and joins Dr. Cube and the rest standing over the fallen Ultramantis. However instead of physically assaulting him, they decide to play mind games and laugh at him as he clutches his groin, before heading to the back. 6) The Batiri vs FIST (Gargano/Taylor) vs 3.0 vs The Throwbacks Elimination #1: Shane Matthews nailed Sugar Dunkerton with a Big Magic Spear, then the 3.0 Lung Blower followed and The Throwbacks were done. The Throwbacks have been eliminated.Elimination #2: Obariyon destroyed Scott Parker with the Flying DDT, but Parker flopped out of the ring. Johnny Gargano was in the ring in a flash and planted Obariyon with the Hurts Donut, and hooked his tights for the One, Two, Three. The Batiri have been eliminated.Elimination #3: After an additional twelve minutes of back and forth action, Chuck Taylor went for a dropkick, but Shane Matthews held onto the ropes. Matthews screamed out BOSTON CRAB and then hooked Taylor into the hold. Parker was across the ring and knocked Gargano off the apron, and Taylor had no choice but to tap out. FIST have been eliminated.3.0 have 2 Points toward Title Contention!7) The Osirian Portal & Irish Airborne vs FIST & The Colony The opening twenty minutes of this match were filled with back and forth action involving all eight men. However, right around the 24 minute mark, the whole thing broke down. Ophidian attempted to blow mist into the eyes of Icarus who was being held by Dave Crist. Icarus ducked, and the mist blinded Crist. Jake hit the ring and shoved Ophidian down, only to be clobbered from behind by Amasis. The Osirian Portal then walked out of the match. Fire Ant entered the ring and went at it with Jake Crist for several minutes. At one point during a series of reversals, Jake ended up behind Fire Ant and shoved him hard into Gran Akuma, sending both of them sailing from the ring. Soldier Ant entered the ring and connected with the TKO on Jake and covered him for the One, Two, Three. Winners: The Colony and FISTTensions between The Colony and FIST nearly boiled over after the match had ended. Years of bad blood between the two teams came to the surface and a shoving battle ensued. Referees and officials were quickly out to the ring, and pulled the men apart. 8) Jigsaw vs Jakob Hammermeier - Chikara Grand Championship After shaking hands, Jigsaw and Hammermeier locked up in the center of the ring. Before either man could take the advantage, Tim Donst, Vin Gerard, and Stigma came through the curtain and rushed the ring. Gerard yanked Jigsaw away from Jakob, while Donst and Stigma pounded Jakob to the ground and then began laying the boots into him. Gerard soon joined in, and all three members of The Unstable just stomped Jakob relentlessly. Jigsaw tried to intervene, but Stigma nailed him with a huge right hand. Mike Quackenbush rushed from behind the curtain and slid into the ring. He blasted Stigma with a huge palm strike that sent him to the floor, then tossed a charging Vin Gerard over the top rope to the floor. Tim Donst took the opportunity to slide out of the ring and live to fight another day. Quackenbush called for the microphone and challenged The Unstable to meet himself, Jigsaw, and Jakob in Trios action at the upcoming Cibernetico Beyond show. Donst nodded his head yes as The Unstable disappeared behind the curtain. Jigsaw could be heard telling Jakob that he would make sure he gets his title shot in the future. -Chikara Presents- -The 16th Show of Season 12- -Ghost in the Machine- Before the show could begin, Ultramantis Black came to the ring and took the microphone. He told Dr. Cube that he was ready for Cibernetico. That he could put together the remnants of the BDK and Gekido with The Batiri but they would not be able to stand up to the team that Ultramantis had assembled. Hallowicked and Frightmare walked to the ring as Mantis announced that the rest of The Spectral Envoy would stand by his side. Then the music of The Colony hit as Fire Ant, Soldier Ant, and Green Ant came to stand beside Mantis. Next Mantis said that he had a big surprise for Dr. Cube, and out from the back stepped Ultramantis Blacks former right hand man, Crossbones!! Finally, Mantis announced a man who wanted nothing more than to get his hands on the men in the masks, and The Shard walked out to join Ultramantis's team. Mantis ranted that the time of Dr. Cube was nearly over, and that the Cibernetico would belong to his team!!1) The Colony vs Irish Airborne Dave and Jake Crist tried everything in their arsenal to overcome The Colony on this night, but in a season where they have taken the Tag World Grand Prix and King of Trios, The Colony are on a roll that seemingly can not be stopped. Dave and Jake had the early advantage, but when Fire Ant managed to roll away from them and tag in Soldier Ant, it was all over. Soldier blasted Jake with a saluting roaring forearm that sent him sailing from the ring. Dave went for a clothesline, but Soldier ducked it and hoisted him up before dropping him with the TKO. He then covered for the One, Two, Three. THE COLONY HAVE 3 POINTS!!!!2) The Spectral Envoy vs The Unstable A very closely contested match that went to the twenty two minute mark to the surprise of most. The Envoy dominated early, making frequent tags and working over Tim Donst for many close two counts. Donst eventually managed to side step a Hallowicked running boot, and tag in Gerard. Gerard went to work on 'Wicked and to the shock of everyone scaled the ropes and executed a beautiful shooting star press that nearly got the fall. Gerard would continue to take it to Hallowicked for several minutes, until Wicked got to the floor. Frightmare came in on fire taking it to both Donst and Gerard, but a shot to the groin by Donst during the chaos would grind the momentum to a halt. Gerard then implemented a series of chokes to wear him down further. A moment of hope when Frightmare nearly exited the ring after a running high knee, but Gerard caught him and drug him into the center of the ring. Donst knocked Wicked from the apron as Gerard applied the STF, and while he fought valiantly, Frightmare had no choice but to tap out. The Unstable have 1 Point toward title contention.3) 3.0 vs FIST (Gargano/Taylor) Johnny Gargano attacked Scott Parker before the bell and FIST immediately cut the ring in half. For almost six minutes, Parker was beaten by both Gargano and Taylor. He finally began to turn things around when he caught Chuck Taylor with a flash roll up for a two and nine tenths count. Taylor took a moment to stare at the referee and make sure it was only two, which gave Parker a chance to tag. Matthews came in and decimated Taylor with HEAD SCISSORS, and then caught Gargano with one for good measure. A huge piledriver got another close count on Taylor. From that point, Matthews worked over both members of FIST for several minutes on his own, and once Parker was back in working order, Taylor ate the 3.0 Lung Blower and the One, Two, Three followed. 3.0 HAVE 3 POINTS!!!4) The Batiri vs Mike Quackenbush & The Shard The Batiri jumped Mike Quackenbush as the bell rang, and tossed The Shard hard to the floor. From there Obariyon and Kodama never relented, beating Mike Quackenbush relentlessly. The Shard tried several times to rally Quack, and while there were multiple near tags, each time The Batiri cut them off. Finally, Quack could take no more and Kodama drilled him with a picture perfect Flying Blockbuster for the One, Two, Three. The Batiri have 1 Point toward title contention.During intermission, Fire Ant amongst others was out to sign autographs and take pictures with the Chikarmy. Just as intermission was coming to an end, Dr. Cube emerged from behind the curtain holding the Eye of Tyr and Tursas stormed out and leveled Fire Ant with a huge clothesline. Before anyone had time to react, Tursas planted Fire Ant right on the floor with the Kreuz Bomb. The rest of The Colony hit the scene and attacked Tursas, which led to the rest of Dr. Cube's team coming out, followed quickly by the rest of Team Ultramantis. A huge brawl erupted all over the building, and it took most of the locker room, all of the referees, the announcers, some Wrestle Factory students, and a few officials to break things up.5) Los Ice Creams vs The Swarm This match was rushed into the ring to try and restore order. CombatANT was still looking at Fire Ant being helped out of the building and laughing when the bell rang. El Hijo Del Ice Cream shrugged his shoulders, ran across the ring, and school boy'ed CombatANT. Jon Barber shrugged his shoulders and counted the One, Two, Three!! LOS ICE CREAMS HAVE 3 POINTS!!!!!6) The Throwbacks vs The Young Bucks This match was the tale of polar opposites. The Young Bucks came in cocky and goofing around, while The Throwbacks were not playing any games tonight. It only took six minutes for the serious attitude of The Throwbacks to pay off, as Nick Jackson was singled out and taken apart by Dasher Hatfield and Sugar Dunkerton. It would be the Grandslam Dunk not once, but twice (Matt was able to break up the first pin attempt) that spelled the end of The Young Bucks as Sugar Dunkerton covered Nick for the One, Two, Three and the victory. The Throwbacks have 1 Point toward title contention!7) Kobald vs Green Ant vs Mr. Touchdown vs Ultramantis Black Elimination #1: At the eight minute mark, Green Ant hooked Kobald in the Good Luck Cloverleaf and the Goblin King had no choice but to tap out. Elimination #2: At the fourteen minute mark, while the referee was distracted, Mr. Touchdown blasted Ultramantis Black in the face with his football helmet, and then planted him with the Extra Point. The three count followed to the surprise of no one. Elimination #3: At the nineteen minute mark, Green Ant attempted to hook Mr. Touchdown in the Cloverleaf, but Angelosetti reached up and cradled him for the shocking One, Two, Three. WINNER: "Mr. Touchdown" Mark AngelosettiThe celebration that followed the victory brought a chorus of boo's from the Chikarmy as Touchdown danced, spiked his football, and then Tebow'ed in the center of the ring.8) FIST (Icarus/Akuma) vs The Osirian Portal - Camepones De Parejas Fall #1: The first fall was filled with intense back and forth action that saw both teams score numerous near falls. The end finally came at the twenty one minute mark, when Ophidian connected with flying double knees on Akuma. Icarus tried to break up the pin, but Amasis was across the ring like a shot and stopped him. The Osirian Portal wins Fall #1Fall #2: Seven minutes later, Icarus ducked under an attempt by Ophidian to blow mist into his eyes, hooked him and drilled him with a Shiranui. Amasis broke up the pin, which brought Akuma into the ring, who leveled The Madjai with a brutal kick to the head. Icarus hoisted Ophidian up and drilled him with the Wings of Icarus and covered him for the One, Two, Three. FIST wins Fall #2Fall #3: At the thirty nine minute mark, Akuma blasted Ophidian with a kick to the head that sent him to the floor. Amasis entered the ring and took a brutal kick to the midsection. Akuma quickly hooked him and connected with the Yoshi Tonic. Unfortunately, referee Dan Yost was too close to the action, and the foot of Amasis caught him in the head. Ophidian rolled back into the ring, and immediately blew a faceful of mist into the eyes of Akuma. Icarus entered the ring, and clubbed Ophidian in the head with a forearm smash that sent him back out to the floor. Amasis was getting back to his feet, when he ate another kick to the gut and was drilled with a pedigree from Icarus. Icarus then went to try and wake Dan Yost up, but ate a superkick from Johnny Gargano. Chuck Taylor grabbed the still blinded Akuma and drilled him with the Omega Driver. Taylor and Gargano then hit an inverted Razors Edge/Ace Crusher combo on Icarus and then high tailed it to the back. Ophidian slithered back into the ring, shook Dan Yost several times, and then covered Icarus. Yost groggily crawled over and counted One, Two, Three.
