Just spent my morning commute catching up on this fed. Some awsome action. I really enjoyed how you have incorporated cards from the other sets. The fed captures the feel of Chikara. What a run for Jigsaw on top. The action really highlights the points system which I think is a brilliant booking device. If only the boys in New York would pay attention. How much better would Raw be each week with teams or competitors battling for points?

I have been honestly astonished at how long Jigsaw has been Grand Champion. I thought for sure he would lose it in the triple threat with Green Ant and 2 Cold.

The points system is one of my favorite parts of Chikara, because for me it reinvigorates the dying art of tag team wrestling. Growing up a Crockett fan in the 80's, I loved tag team wrestling, and the state it has been in for the last 20 years bothers me immensely.

As for how much better Raw could be....we'd need a whole other section of the forum to write those feds, and I'd bet most of us could do better!

CHIKARA EVENT CENTER:
CARNAGE IN C-MINOR

In the Main Event of the evening, we see a rematch for the Chikara Grand Championship as Jigsaw looks to make his 10th defense of the title against the fast rising Jakob Hammermeier. The Director of Fun has mandated that anyone who interferes in this match will be banned from Chikara for life.


In the other Main Event, Scott Parker and Shane Matthews cash in their three points in hopes of making it to the Promised Land as they challenge "The Osirian Assassin" Ophidian and "The Madjai" Amasis, The Osirian Portal for the Campeones De Parejas!!


Mike Quackenbush steps into the ring with his former tag team partner and the man who years ago betrayed him with ramifications that are still being felt in Chikara, member of The Unstable, Stigma.


Eddie Kingston returns from the injuries he suffered at King of Trios and he is in a terrible mood, which may not bode well for his opponent, Ice Cream Junior.


Dasher Hatfield and Suger Dunkerton, The Throwbacks look to acquire another point toward title contention, as they take on a team making their long awaited return to Chikara, Lancelot and Harlem, The Bravado Brothers!


Vin Gerard of The Unstable faces what may his biggest challenge to date since his return to Chikara, as he goes one on one with "The Generic Luchador" El Generico!!


"Mr. Touchdown" Mark Angelosetti is coming off the biggest win of his Rookie Season, and he looks to keep the momentum rolling as he tangles with El Hijo Del Ice Cream.


Juan Fransisco De Coronado's Chikara debut did not go as planned as he was injured in his first match. Now eight months later, he looks to make an impact again, but he will have to do so against another Chikara newcomer, Shane Hollister


***Dr. Cube has announced that none of his Cibernetico team will be competing, therefore the Director of Fun has decided that all of team Ultramantis will also be given the night off in the interest of fairness.

In trios action, Jakob Hammermeier gets help from his previous nights opponent Jigsaw, and a man who hates the Unstable nearly as much as Jakob, Mike Quackenbush as they team to take on Donst, Gerard, and Stigma: The Unstable


Eddie Kingston is an angry man looking for a fight. On this night he will step into the ring with a Throwback who isn't afraid to throw down, Dasher Hatfield.


Juan Fransisco De Coronado looks to make his mark against a seasoned competitor of Chikara, and he will get the chance to do so against Sugar Dunkerton.


"Mr. Touchdown" Mark Angelosetti said he would take on anybody and show why he is the greatest rookie pick up in the history of Chikara. A newcomer in Shane Hollister has accepted that challenge.

1) Juan Fransisco De Coronado vs Shane Hollister

De Coronado dominated the early portion of the match working over Hollister with several wear down and submission holds. Hollister mounted a comeback with a series of strikes and aerial attacks. The end came when Hollister scaled the ropes for something, but Coronado launched himself into the ropes which crotched Hollister. JFDC then drug him into the center of the ring and locked in the Coronado Clutch for the submission victory.

Winner: Juan Fransisco De Coronado


2) El Hijo Del Ice Cream vs "Mr. Touchdown" Mark Angelosetti

Angelosetti started this one off quickly, knocking Ice Cream around with his power advantage. This went on for several minutes, until he attempted an atomic drop, and Hijo dropped down behind him and pinched his fanny. Touchdown went nuts and chased Hijo around the ring for several laps, before getting caught with a poke to the eye, followed by the Cold Stone Stunner!! Dan Yost counted One, Two, Thr....KICK OUT!! Hijo picked Mr. Touchdown up, but Touchdown shoved him away hard and caused the Ice Cream to run into Yost who fell to the canvas. Touchdown was quick to kick a field goal into the groin of Hijo Del Ice Cream. He then yelled out "IT'S GOOD" as the Chikarmy boo'ed him unmercifully. He yanked Ice Cream to his feet and planted him with the Extra Point. After shaking Dan Yost back into coherence, he covered Hijo Del Ice Cream for the One, Two, Three.

Winner: "Mr. Touchdown" Mark Angelosetti


3) Eddie Kingston vs Ice Cream Junior

Ice Cream Junior attempted to shake the hand of Eddie Kingston as the match began, and that was his first mistake. Kingston blasted him with a lariat, and it just got worse from there. A backdrop driver would leave Ice Cream Junior clutching his head. A Sliding D would likely have been the end of it, but Kingston simply chose not to cover him. He took his time, pacing back and forth, until Ice Cream Junior barely beat the count, getting to his feet at nine. Kingston grinned, and then decimated Ice Cream Junior with the Backfist to the Future. There was no question about the three count, and Kingston then began to yell to the SMV camera that he was done messing around and was coming for his Grand Championship.

Winner: Eddie Kingston


4) The Throwbacks vs The Bravado Brothers

The triumphant return of The Bravado Brothers to a Chikara ring did not go quite as planned for Lancelot and Harlem. The Throwbacks have never forgotten winning the Campeones De Parejas only to have an injury tear the dream away from them. They had one point going into this match, and had no intentions of letting it slip away. Dasher Hatfield dodged a Pearl Harbor attempt by Harlem Bravado and leveled him with a baseball swing clothesline. The Suicide Squeeze nearly ended the match, but Lancelot was able to break up the pin. Sugar Dunkerton hit the ring and a Cactus clothesline sent both he and Lance to the floor. Dasher scaled the ropes and planted Harlem into the mat with the Grandslam and got the One, Two, Three.

The Throwbacks have 2 Points toward title contention


At intermission, Leonard F. Chikarason came to the ring and announced that next month at Countdown to Extinction there would be a one night, eight man tournament and the winner would be the man to challenge for the Chikara Grand Championship at the following days season finale. He also announced that on that night the winner of the match between The Osirian Portal and 3.0 this evening, would defend the Campeones De Parejas against Los Ice Creams. He then announced that the winner of that match will go on to defend the Campeones against The Colony at the season finale.


5) Mike Quackenbush vs Stigma

Quack let his long simmering anger toward Stigma get the best of him early in the match, attacking when he should have been attempting to wear the big man down. Stigma used his size to beat down Quack, and then leaned on him to wear Quack down. Stigma then connected with a brutal Jacknife Powerbomb that got a very near fall. Stigma then went to the well one too many times and attempted a second powerbomb, only to find himself hurricanrana'd out of it. Quack then rocked the big man with a palm strike that left him staggered, before taking him to the mat and tying him in the Chikara Special. Not surprisingly, the man who taught everyone the counter, countered it and managed to get out. Quack's anger boiled to the top again, but this time it gave him the strength to lay out Stigma with the Quackendriver II and cover him for the three count and the win.

Winner: Mike Quackenbush


6) El Generico vs Vin Gerard

Vin Gerard attacks Generico before the bell and blasts him with a running high knee that stuns "The Generic Luchador." Gerard follows it up by drilling Generico into the mat with a fisherman buster, and then locking on his STF. Generico struggled to the ropes and managed to grab them. Jon Barber got most of the word five out of his mouth before Vin broke the hold. Gerard and Barber jawed back and forth with a DQ being threatened. Gerard then pulled Generico over next to the the turnbuckle and scaled the ropes. It turns out that the time spent arguing, was time Generico needed to recover as he was quickly to his feet, blasted Gerard with a leaping European uppercut that sent Vin crashing crotch first onto the turnbuckle. El Generico was quick to scale the buckles and absolutely destroyed Gerard with a BRAINBUSTAHHHHH!!! The three count was a foregone conclusion after that.

Winner: El Generico


7) The Osirian Portal vs 3.0



Fall #1: The Osirian Portal started this one strong and viciously beat both members of 3.0 from pillar to post for the opening ten minutes. Jagged took a tremendous amount of punishment, but somehow managed to kick out again and again. He finally made the hot tag to Shane Matthews who had taken a good deal of punishment himself. But Matthews came in hot, blasted Amasis with a huge right hand that sent him over the top rope and to the floor. Ophidian was quickly in and immediately ate a huge dropkick that layed him out dead center in the ring. Matthews yelled BOSTON CRAB and immediately locked it in, right in the middle of the ring. Ophidian tried to slither and crawl, and claw his way to the ropes, but each time he managed a few inches Matthews drug him back to the center and wrenched on the hold. Finally, Ophidian had no choice but to tap out.

3.0 win Fall #1

Fall #2: The second fall may cause this match to go down as one of the best in Chikara history. Amasis and Shane Matthews started, and Amasis immediately drilled Matthews with one of the nastiest discus forearm shots you'll ever see. Matthews managed to kick out at two. Amasis then began to drag Matthews back to his feet, but Matthews swept his feet and locked in the Boston Crab! Amasis managed to make the ropes. From there, the action got too hot to describe. In the following minutes Amasis connected with the Twist of Funk, a huge flying crossbody, and the Egyptian Conniption, all of which Matthews kicked out of. Matthews managed to bounce Amasis nearly a foot off the canvas with a piledriver, then locked him in the Crab again, but again Amasis escaped. The Portal regained control and looked to end things with the Osirian Sacrament, which they obliterated Shane Matthews with. Bryce Remsburg counted One, Two, Thr.....KICKOUT!!!! An enraged Amasis jerked him to his feet and whipped Matthews hard into the ropes......HEAD SCISSORS!!!! Matthews planted Amasis with the head scissors and tagged in Parker who caught an interfering Ophidian with a series of punches to the head. Matthews then drilled the serpent with a spear that flattened him. Amasis staggered back to his feet and the 3.0 Lung Blower followed. Bryce Remsburg counted One, Two, THREE!!!

3.0 ARE THE NEW HOLDERS OF THE CAMPEONES DE PAREJAS!!!!

Matthews and Parker hoisted the belts into the air and immediately went out among the Chikarmy to celebrate the fact that they finally made it to the Promised Land!!


8) Jigsaw vs Jakob Hammermeier




The two men shook hands to begin the match, and then locked up. The opening minutes were a series of exchanges, armdrags, forearms strikes, dropkicks, and more. Jakob was able to keep up for the first five or so minutes, but after that the experience of Jigsaw allowed him to take command and work the young Hammermeier over. Jakob made a few attempts at turning the tide, but each time Jigsaw used his mat knowledge to counter and maintain control. At around the fifteen minute mark, Jakob managed to connect with his huge right hand punch which has been knocking people out. It didn't appear that he got all of the shot, but Jigsaw sagged back into the ropes. Hammermeier moved in for the kill, pulling Jigsaw into the center of the ring and setting him up for the Guten Nacht. It would unfortunately for Jakob turn out that Jigsaw was playing possum, and he hooked a shocked Hammermeier into a backslide which netted him the One, Two, Three.


Jigsaw is still the Chikara Grand Champion


Jakob got to his feet and walked toward Jigsaw. He mouthed the words Thank You and stuck his hand out, which Jigsaw immediately took. As if on cue, the members of The Unstable started toward the ring, Donst and Gerard doing a mocking slow clap. Before they could reach the ring, Mike Quackenbush came from behind the curtain and jumped onto the back of Stigma. Before anyone knew what was happening, Jigsaw launched himself over the top rope and wiped out Vin Gerard with a somersault plancha. Jakob exited the ring and went straight for Donst who attempted a clothesline, but Jakob ducked it and knocked Donst flat on his back with a huge right hand. With all three members of The Unstable laid out, Quack, Jigsaw, and Jakob headed for the back, while the Chikarmy cheered them on.

1) "Mr. Touchdown" Mark Angelosetti vs Shane Hollister

Shane Hollister opened the match with a beautiful dropkick, and that was pretty much the end of his offense. On his next move, he tried a cross body block which Mr. Touchdown ducked. From that point Angelosetti went to town with a mixture of technical wrestling and straight up power. A series of pump splashes nearly spelled the end for Hollister, but he managed to kick out at two and three fourths. The end came when Touchdown attempted to whip Hollister into the ropes, but Hollister reversed it. He attempted a leapfrog, but Mr. Touchdown caught him in mid jump and planted him with the Extra Point. One, Two, Three.

Winner: "Mr. Touchdown" Mark Angelosetti


2) Sugar Dunkerton vs Juan Fransisco De Coronado

JFDC took a ridiculous amount of time for his ring entrance, and Sugar Dunkerton had enough, clotheslining De Coronado before he could get his bow tie off. Sugar clowned around the opening minutes of the match, trying to embarass the blue blood from Ecuador. De Coronado grew frustrated with the treatment, and gouged the eyes of Dunkerton twice which left Sugar reeling. The Ecuaplex nearly did the job for De Coronado, but Sugar managed to kick out at the last possible second. JFDC quickly hooked in the Coronado Clutch, but Dunkerton was able to reach the ropes. De Coronado grew frustrated, and it allowed Dunkerton to regain control for several minutes and score multiple near falls of his own. The end came when JFDC reversed a waistlock and drove Sugar hard into the canvas with a bulldog. He then rolled him over, grabbed a huge hand full of tights, and pinned him in the center of the ring.

Winner: Juan Fransisco De Coronado


3) The Unstable vs Jakob Hammermeier, Jigsaw, and Mike Quackenbush

Vin Gerard and Mike Quackenbush started the match, and Quack showed his continued disdain for The Unstable by working over Gerard. Eventually Vin was able to make the tag to Stigma, who came in and immediately ate a huge Palm Strike from Quack. Once Quack beat on Stigma for a little while, he tagged in Jakob Hammermeier who was ready to get his hands on any member of The Unstable. He worked over Stigma for a bit, but eventually the size of Stigma over powered Jakob who tagged in Tim Donst. Donst went right for Hammermeier, and got blasted in the face with a HUGE Jakob right hand that left him out cold on the canvas!! Vin Gerard was in the ring in a flash and kicked Jakob hard in the groin. Referee Bryce Remsburg immediately called for the DQ as a brawl broke out amongst the remaining four men.

Winner: No Contest

A host of referees, trainees, and officials hit ringside and broke the two teams up. Vin and Stigma carried an unconcious Donst backstage, as Quack and Jigsaw helped Jakob to his feet.


4) Eddie Kingston vs Dasher Hatfield

Leonard F. Chikarason came out from behind the curtain instead of Dasher Hatfield. An already angry Kingston could be heard yelling "What the hell is this." Chikarason announced that Dasher Hatfield was unable to compete tonight due to an injury sustained during last nights match. However, a suitable replacement had been found.

4) Eddie Kingston vs Dragon Dragon

This lasted all of thirty seconds as Eddie Kingston charged across the ring and laid a series of chops into Dragon Dragon, which staggered the massive Dragon back into the ropes. An irate Kingston turned away to seethe for a moment, which gave Dragon Dragon a second to come at Kingston, who spun and almost literally took off Dragon Dragon's head with a Backfist to the Future. The pinfall was an after thought as Kingston ripped the microphone from the hands of Gavin Loudspeaker.

Winner: Eddie Kingston


Kingston went off about how he was being saddled with these jokes, and he was tired of playing mr. nice guy, and that he was done worrying about what people think of him. He was done worrying about tag teams, or trios. He said the only thing he cared about was regaining the Chikara Grand Championship, and that he wasn't leaving this ring until he got that chance.

Leonard F. Chikarason came out and announced that at the upcoming "Countdown to Extinction" where they would have a one night tournament to determine who would contend for the Grand Championship at the Season Finale, Eddie Kingston was the first name to be announced for the tournament.

This seemed to appease Kingston who said he would just have to kick seven asses, so he could kick an eighth and get his belt back.


5) Chuck Taylor & Johnny Gargano vs Gran Akuma & Icarus

This one was wild from the opening bell as the hatred between these two teams boiled over. A massive brawl between all four men started the match, which eventually ended up with Akuma and Gargano in the ring. The following fifteen minutes saw all four men tag in and out of the match as each one was worked over, and numerous near falls occurred. The end of the match came as Gargano and Akuma were again in the ring, until Akuma hit a beautiful spinning kick that caught Gargano in the forehead and sent him out of the ring. Chuck Taylor was in and nailed Akuma with Sole Food, which saw him stagger and fall from the ring. Icarus was quickly in and grabbed Taylor in a waistlock from behind. He attempted to lift him for what seemed like a German suplex, but Taylor grabbed hold of Referee Jon Barber to stop himself from being lifted. Taylor half shoved Barber away when he let go of him, and at the same time threw his leg backwards hard into the groin of Icarus. Taylor quickly turned and scooped Icarus up, then planted him with the Omega Driver in the center of the ring. A recovering Barber counted One, Two, Three.

FIST (Gargano & Taylor) have 1 Point toward Title Contention

The wild night continued, as again a brawl broke out after the match. Again, refs, officials, and Wrestle Factory students had to end up holding all four men back. They were all drug backstage as the show went to intermission.


6) -Torneo Cibernetico-

Elimination #1: At the seven minute mark, Frightmare ducked a crossbody block from Kodama who hit the canvas hard. Frightmare then dropped the Kneecolepsy on him and covered him for the One, Two, Three.

Kodama has been eliminated.

Elimination #2: At the thirteen minute mark, Ares and Tursas connected with a variation of the Doomsday Uppercut on The Shard. Ares then planted him with the Tiger Driver for the One, Two, Three.

The Shard has been eliminated.

Elimination #3: At the twenty one minute mark, Soldier Ant, Green Ant, and AssailANT ran 17 over with Ants Go Marching. Soldier and Green left the ring, and AssailANT yelled out Chikara Special Blue before applying a new variant of the hold and forcing 17 to immediately tap out.

17 has been eliminated.

Elimination #4: At the twenty five minute mark, CombatANT ducked a Hallowicked running Yakuza kick and absolutely leveled him with a discus forearm smash. He cradled him for the One, Two, Three.

Hallowicked has been eliminated.

Elimination #5: At the twenty six minute mark, Frightmare springboarded off the ropes and dropkicked CombatANT hard in the back and sent him sailing over the top rope to the floor. Obariyon was in the ring like lightning, grabbed Frightmare and devastated him with a wrist-clutch exploder driver, and covered him for the One, Two, Three.

Frightmare has been eliminated.

Elimination #6: At the thirty one minute mark, AssailANT relished the chance to get his hands on one of his former Swarm team mates. First drilling DeviANT into the mat with AssailANT's Cross, then hooking him in the Chikara Special Blue and forcing him to tap out.

DeviANT has been eliminated.

Elimination #7: At the thirty six minute mark, AssailANT continued to kick butt beating up Ares and CombatANT, before Tursas tagged back into the match. AssailANT tried everything he could think of against the Finnish monster, but he finally began to run out of steam and Tursas mowed him down with a Giant Lariat. The big splash followed, as did the One, Two, Three.

AssailANT has been eliminated.

Elimination #8: At the forty three minute mark, Crossbones rolled out of the way of the Demon's Toilet causing Kobald to splat hard on the mat. Crossbones then planted him with the Friggin' Sweet Driver and got the One, Two, Three.

Kobald has been eliminated.

Elimination #9: At the forty eight minute mark, Obariyon crawled to the ropes to escape the Chikara Special Green. Green Ant drug him to his corner, and tagged in Ultramantis Black. The Praying Mantis Driver dropped Obariyon directly on top of his head and the One, Two, Three followed.

Obariyon has been eliminated.

Elimination #10: At the fifty one minute mark, Tursas scaled the ropes as Crossbones struggled to his feet. A Tursas Diving Cross Body onto Crossbones shook the whole ring, and the One, Two, Three was an after thought.

Crossbones has been eliminated.

Elimination #11: At the fifty two minute mark, Soldier Ant came into the ring as Tursas got to his feet, and with the loudest SIR YES SIR we have ever heard the Militant Mat Mite utter, he let rip a saluting spinning elbow strike that knocked the giant Tursas prone onto the mat. Soldier Ant hooked both of his massive legs and the referee counted One, Two, Three.

Tursas has been eliminated.

Elimination #12: At the fifty four minute mark, CombatANT connected with the TKO on Soldier Ant, then locked him into an Inverted Chikara Special. Soldier Ant clawed and struggled for the ropes, but it was too much, and he was forced to tap out.

Soldier Ant has been eliminated.

Elimination #13: At the fifty nine minute mark, Green Ant showed his technical expertise as he somehow countered an Inverted Chikara Special into the Chikara Special Green, which he wrenched as hard as he possibly could and CombatANT quickly tapped out.

CombatANT has been eliminated.

Elimination #14: At the sixty one minute mark, Ares drilled Green Ant with a Blue Thunder Bomb. He then yanked him to his feet and connected with a picture perfect Tiger Driver for the One, Two, Three.

Green Ant has been eliminated.

Elimination #15: At the sixty five minute mark, Ultramantis Black backdropped Ares out of a Tiger Driver attempt. When Ares stood up, Mantis scooped him and drove him head first into the mat with Cosmic Doom. Mantis let out a maniacal laugh, lifted Ares to his feet and destroyed him with a Praying Mantis Bomb and covered him for the One, Two, Three.

ULTRAMANTIS BLACK WINS TORNEO CIBERNETICO!!!!


Dr. Cube comes into the ring and attempts to attack Ultramantis Black from behind. Ultramantis however saw it coming and caught Cube with a kick to the gut. He scooped him up over his shoulder, causing the cube to fall off, and exposing the now bandaged face that we once knew as Wink Vavvaseur, before drilling him into the mat with Cosmic Doom. Ultramantis Black left the ring triumphant, having vanquished his enemy from Chikara forever.

Ares crawled half conscious across the ring to the prone form of Dr. Cube and reached into the pocket of his coat. He withdrew the Eye of Tyr and began to call for Tursas to come back to the ring. The Finnish monster came from the curtain and met Ares in the ring. Ares waved the Eye in front of the face of Tursas and spoke a few words. Tursas shook his head as if clearing the cobwebs, then looked questioningly at Ares. Ares spoke a few words in German and then pointed at the prone form of Dr. Cube. Tursas looked back and forth from Ares to Cube, until Ares nodded his head. Tursas then rushed across the ring and dropped a big splash on the already unconcious Cube. Ares and Tursas then left the ring.

Next, the members of The Batiri came out from behind the curtain and rolled into the ring standing above their fallen leader. All three of them looked at one another, then out into the members of the Chikarmy, finally Kobald shrugged his shoulders and all three of them began laying the boots to the decimated Dr. Cube.

17, DeviANT, and CombatANT came running to the ring, apparently the only ones still loyal to Dr. Cube and began to brawl with The Batiri. The six men brawled all over the arena for several minutes, and then finally out of the sight of the cameras and fans.

The show came to an end with the Chikarmy singing the "Hey Hey Hey Goodbye" song to the unconscious Dr. Cube laying in the center of the ring.

1) Green Ant vs The Shard - #1 Contender Tournament First Round -

A hard hitting affair to open the tournament, as The Shard and Green Ant clobbered one another with forearms, clotheslines, and stiff kicks. Mixed in with the striking was Green Ant using his technical skills to wear down Shard when he was on defense, and Shard using his power to toss the larger Green Ant bodily across the ring. The end finally came when Green Ant managed to catch a Shard Superkick, then used a leg sweep to put him on his back, and then locked in the Chikara Special Green. Shard tried like hell to reach the ropes, but his effort was in vain, and he was forced to tap out.

2) Eddie Kingston vs Mike Quackenbush - #1 Contender Tournament First Round -

Mike Quackenbush attempted to open this match with a handshake, and got slapped in the face for his troubles. Eddie Kingston was relentless in this match, allowing Quack almost zero offense. Constant clotheslines, body slams, and more than one Yakuza kick left Quack battered. It was too the surprise of everyone in attendance that Quack managed to kick out of the Backfist to the Future. After several minutes, Quack managed to mount his first real offense of the match, but when he attempted a bulldog, Kingston decimated him with a Backdrop Driver. Kingston then decided that more punishment was in order, not even attempting to pin Quack after a Sliding D, and a second Backfist. Eddie connected with a second Sliding D that left Quack not moving on the canvas. He started to pick him up again when Bryce Remsburg threatened to DQ Kingston for castigo excesivo, which caused a disgusted Eddie to cover him for the One, Two, Three.

3) El Generico vs Juan Francisco De Coronado - #1 Contender Tournament First Round -

JFDC attacked El Generico before the bell rang much to the disdain of the Chikarmy. He used his early advantage to work over the knee of Generico for several minutes, hoping to hamper his high flying and set him up for the Coronado Clutch. Generico managed to turn the momentum after reversing a waistlock and dumping Juan on his head with a half nelson suplex. The action would continue to go back and forth for some time, with Generico managing to drill De Coronado with a brainbuster, but JFDC managed to get his foot under the ropes at the last possible second. The end came when Generico went for his running Yakuza kick in the corner, and De Coronado ducked it. Generico hit hard in the buckles and got his leg tangled up in the ropes. De Coronado hit a huge neckbreaker on Generico, while his leg was still tangled in the ropes, which looked to hyper extend the knee of The Generic Luchador. Juan pulled Generico into the center of the ring and hooked the Coronado Clutch. Generico fought valiantly to reach the ropes or break the hold, but could not and was forced to tap out.

4) "Mr. Touchdown" Mark Angelosetti vs Ultramantis Black - #1 Contender Tournament First Round -

When this match began, I don't think anyone was expecting the war that broke out between Ultramantis and Touchdown. The opening minutes saw both men fight for control of the other, with neither gaining a real advantage. Angelosetti slapped Ultramantis in the face to set off a brawl that went in and out of the ring multiple times. A brawl that saw Mr. Touchdown clobber Ultramantis with his football helmet when referee Jon Barber was distracted, and saw Ultramantis return the favor by smashing Touchdown with his skull staff. Once the action settled back in the ring, both guys hit each other with moves that normally win them matches, but saw kick outs at 2 and even 1. The end finally came when Mantis got his knees up as Angelosetti tried a flying splash. Mantis then drilled him with the Praying Mantis Driver and covered him for the One, Two, Three.

At intermission, Leonard F. Chikarson announced a special 4 way Tag Team elimination match with points on the line as an added bonus for the fans, and a way to give the men in the tournament more time to rest.


5) Tim Donst & Vin Gerard vs The Osirian Portal vs The Batiri vs The Spectral Envoy

Elimination #1: At the nine minute mark, Kodama executed a corner cannonball dropkick on Vin Gerard that caught him squarely in the face. Kodama pulled him to the center of the ring and covered him. Gerard didn't even attempt to kick out, and instead clutched his face.

Elimination #2: At the fifteen minute mark, Frightmare spiked Kodama on his head with a Frightensteiner, then tagged in Hallowicked. The Headless Horseman followed, and Hallowicked covered Kodama for the 1,2,3 as Frightmare dropkicked Obariyon off the apron.

The Batiri have been eliminated

Elimination #3: At the twenty one minute mark, Hallowicked and Frightmare destroyed Amasis with the Headless Horseman, but Ophidian broke up the pin. Frightmare was quickly into the ring and dropkicked Ophidian to the floor. Frightmare dove on him, as Hallowicked drilled Amasis with Go 2 Sleepy Hollow and covered him for the One, Two, Three.

The Osirian Portal have been eliminated.

THE SPECTRAL ENVOY HAVE 2 POINTS TOWARD TITLE CONTENTION!


6) Green Ant vs Eddie Kingston - #1 Contender Tournament Semi Final -

The real story of this match was what occurred after the bell. The match itself was Green Ant using all of his quickness and technical expertise to confound and agitate Eddie Kingston. An angry Kingston made mistakes and each time Green Ant capitalized and locked a submission on Eddie's legs. This went on for nearly twelve minutes, and finally Kingston was forced to tap out to the Chikara Special Green.

Eddie Kingston sat in the ring with his head in his hands for several minutes after tapping out. Referee Dan Yost tried multiple times to talk to Kingston, only to be shoved away. Finally Eddie got to his feet, and again Yost asked if he needed assistance. Kingston leveled him with a Backfist to the Future and began to shout that he was sick of the crap, and that he was done.

Leonard F. Chikarason came to ringside with two security officers and told Kingston that he was suspended from Chikara per the order of the Anonymous Director of Fun. Kingston screamed out that Chikara could go to hell, and that he was sick of the shit, and that he quit. Kingston disappeared into the dressing room for several minutes as Yost was helped from the ring. The dressing room door then crashed open as Kingston, still in his ring attire with a bad slung over his shoulder stormed out the front door of the building.


7) Juan Francisco De Coronado vs Ultramantis Black - #1 Contender Tournament Semi Final -

Juan Francisco De Coronado sauntered to the ring much slower than usual. He took extra time waiting for the referee to hold the ropes for him. He slowly removed his robe, and folded it up. As he want to adjust his bow tie, Ultramantis Black lost his cool and nearly clotheslined him out of his boots. Referee Jon Barber rang the bell, and Mantis wasted zero time, kicking De Coronado hard in the gut, and obliterating him with a Praying Mantis Bomb. Ultramantis then covered him for the One, Two, Three.

8) 3.0 vs Los Ice Creams - Campeones De Parejas


Fall #1: The opening minutes of the match saw quite a bit of shenanigans from both teams, until El Hijo Del Ice Cream turned this quite serious when he yelled "El Stupido" and slapped Shane Matthews hard in the face. From there, he ate a brutal clothesline, got powerbombed not once but twice, and was then hooked in the Boston Crab and was forced to Tap Out.

3.0 win Fall #1


Fall #2: Ice Cream Junior turned on a much more serious side of the Ice Creams in the second fall, going to work on Scott Parker with hard hitting offense, frequent tags, and precision double team maneauvers. Finally after several close falls, Scott Parker was able to make the hot tag to Shane Matthews who came in like a crazy man, giving HEAD SCISSORS to both Ice Creams several times. Matthews continued to dominate both men for several minutes while Parker recovered. Finally as a pair, 3.0 were able to hit their double team lung blower now known as The Sweet Taste of Professionalism, which led them to the pinfall and the win.

9) Green Ant vs Ultramantis Black - #1 Contender Tournament Final -

As Gavin Loudspeaker introduced both men, the signs of fatigue from the two previous matches in which they competed was evident. When the bell rang both took the center of the ring and shook hands before locking up. The first several minutes were very back and forth, with both men feeling one another out. Green Ant took the early control with his technical expertise, working over both the arms and legs of Ultramantis. Mantis took control with a well placed headbutt between the eyes of Green Ant. Mantis then used a series of hip tosses, and multiple body slams to wear Green Ant down. The end nearly came at the twelve minute mark when Ultramantis connected with Cosmic Doom nearly out of nowhere. Green Ant was however able to drape his leg over the bottom rope at the count of two and three fourths. Mantis continued to be in control, but a surprise small package from Green Ant nearly ended his night. That seemed to re-energize the Colony member as he fought back and regained control. At twenty two minute mark, he locked the Chikara Special Green on Ultramantis Black and Mantis had no choice but to grab the bottom rope!! When both men got back to their feet, an exchange of forearm strikes and kicks left both men reeling. Green Ant bounced off the ropes and went for a lariat, but Ultramantis ducked it and caught Green Ant with a kick to the midsection on the rebound. Mantis quickly hooked Green Ant and plowed him into the mat with the Praying Mantis Bomb. Referee Bryce Remsburg counted One, Two, Thr...KICK OUT!!! Even with the mask, you could tell that Ultramantis was astonished that Green Ant was able to kick out. He however wasted no time dragging Green Ant to his feet and drilling him with a second Praying Mantis Bomb. Remsburg counted One, Two, Three.
