In the Main Event of the evening, Obariyon and Kodama of The Batiri look to defend their newly won Campeones De Parejas against the winners of the Tag World Grand Prix, Soldier and Fire Ant....The Colony!!


In a four way singles elimination match, the two men who last night competed for the Grand Championship will meet once again as Green Ant and Jigsaw step back into the ring together. They will not be alone however as Sami Callihan will join them, as well as Chikara's special Anniversario guest, 2 Cold Scorpio!


Ultramantis Black and Delirious meet in singles competition, and there will be no disqualifications, no count outs, and falls will count anywhere!!


The relationship between Tim Donst and Jakob Hammermeier had been slowly falling apart ever since the dissolution of the BDK. It finally came to a head when after months of abuse, Hammermeier snapped, and knocked Tim Donst cold. Now the first battle in the war between the last standing members of the defunct BDK will be fought.


"Mr. Touchdown" Mark Angelosetti, the self proclaimed hottest rookie signing in the history of Chikara, will step into the ring and go one on one with the worlds only generic luchador, El Generico!!


"The Winged Ring Warrior" Icarus has decided that he is tired of being overlooked in Chikara, and has said that Anniversario will be the beginning of his rise to the top. Standing across the ring from him will be an unknown entity who is looking to start his own ride to the title, The Mysterious and Handsome Stranger!


Twelve teams, three matches, and points toward title contention on the line in all three.

In the first match we will see the 1st, 4th, 7th, and 10th teams eliminated in the battle royal compete against one another with elimination rules in place.

In the second match, the 2nd, 5th, and 8th teams eliminated will be joined by Hallowicked and Frightmare to compete in a four way elimination war.

In the third match, eliminated team #3, #6, #9, and the Battle Royal winners will do battle in a four way eliminator of their own!

The show began with Dr. Cube accompanied by Delirious and The Batiri heading to the ring. Cube ranted and raved promising that his lack of progress so far this season is just him biding his time, and that he will do what he failed to do as Director of Fun and corrupt Chikara from with in. Kobald was handed the microphone and he screeched that he had evolved from his previous incarnation and that we now fit to do battle in the rings of Chikara again. He begged The Spectral Envoy to find a 4th partner so that he could compete this evening, and show the pitiful humans the powerful demon he had become. Delirious finished, saying simply "Mantis Black, tomorrow.....finished.....


1) Fire Ant vs "Mr. Touchdown" Mark Angelosetti

Angelosetti came out fast and furious and ran over Fire Ant with a series of clotheslines, a dropkick, and a brutal back body drop. Mr. Touchdown then took the time to pose for the crowd and it gave Fire Ant the time he needed to regain his bearings. Angelosetti took a series of punches to the gut from Fire Ant as he tried to get to his feet, but Touchdown dropped him with a running shoulder block, and followed it up with two others. Angelosetti continued in control for several minutes, but after landing a big punch, again took the time to pose. It allowed Fire Ant to blast him with an enzuigiri, and follow it up with a roll up that nearly got a count of three. From that point forward it was all Fire Ant, who flew around the ring and blinded Angelosetti with speed and precision kicks. He connected with the Beach Break, but Mr. Touchdown was able to get his shoulder up at the last second. Another Beach Break was too much for the rookie superstar to handle, and the One, Two, Three was inevitable.

2) Tim Donst vs The Mysterious and Handsome Stranger

This one was over before it began as a dejected looking Tim Donst walked to the ring. His hair shaggy, his face unshaven, his tights dirty, Donst rolled into the ring and never even stood up, instead sitting in the corner. The Stranger was ready to go, but as soon as the bell rang, Donst rolled to the floor and walked to the back. Referee Dan Yost had no choice but to count Donst out.

Winner: The Mysterious and Handsome Stranger


3) 11 Team Battle Royal

Ten teams were in the ring when Eddie Kingston entered, the curtain parted behind him and Sabian (also known as BLK Jeez) his former partner in Blk Out joined him for the battle royal.

-Eliminations-

1) Shane Matthews was clothesline over the top rope by Eddie Kingston (3.0 are eliminated)

2) Mike Quackenbush was double teamed and tossed by The Osirian Portal (Quack and The Shard are eliminated)

3) Gran Akuma was superkicked by Johnny Gargano and then dropkicked over the ropes by Chuck Taylor (Gran Akuma and ACH are eliminated)

4) Nick Jackson was paraded around the ring on the shoulder of Dasher Hatfield and dumped to the floor. (The Young Bucks are eliminated)

5) Sugar Dunkerton was caught with a dropkick to the back of the head by Sabian and went over the ropes. (The Throwbacks are eliminated)

6) Nick Madrid was double clothesline by Los Ice Creams over the top rope and to the floor. (El Fantástico y Hermoso are eliminated)

7 + 8) Johnny Yuma launched himself at Chuck Taylor and both of them tumbled over the ropes and to the floor. (FIST are eliminated)(The RockNES Monsters are eliminated)

9) Ice Cream Jr. was blasted with a Backfist to the Future and fell out of the ring to the floor. (Los Ice Creams are eliminated)

10) Ophidian sprayed mist into the eyes of Sabian, and then dropkicked him over the ropes. (BLK OUT are eliminated)

4) Jakob Hammermeier vs Icarus

Jakob Hammermeier came to the ring looking fantastic. His hair was out of the ridiculous pigtails, and was tied into a neat ponytail. A goatee covered his face, and a very nice pair of new tights, along with a taped right first rounded out his new look. His opponent Icarus, was however....not impressed!

Jakob started off strong, working over Icarus with a series of headlock take downs and arm-locks. Icarus regained control with his usual method of raking the eyes. Momentum would shift back and forth numerous times in the opening minutes of this contest. At around the nine minute mark, Jakob connected with two reverse neckbreakers and got a very close two count, but Icarus managed to kicked out. At around the twelve minute mark, Icarus rocked Jakob with a huge spear that would have likely been a three count had Hammermeier not been so close to the ropes. The end came at fifteen minutes when Icarus ducked a huge knock out right hand swung by Hammermeier, kicked him hard in the ribs and dropped him with the Wings of Icarus for the One, Two, Three.

Winner: Icarus

After the match Icarus took the microphone and again reiterated that he was on a quest to the Grand Championship, and this was his first step toward destiny.


5) Soldier Ant vs Sami Callihan

This was pretty much exactly what you expected it to be, with both men heading to the center of the ring and blasting each other with forearms. Seriously, for a solid minute they blasted one another with brutal forearm shots until both of them were leaning exhaustedly against one another, holding each other up. It was Callihan who recovered first and grabbed a headlock take down. Soldier Ant managed to wiggle his way out of it, and both men got to their feet again. Wanna guess what they did? Forearms again, back and forth, back and forth, until finally both men managed to connect at the same time and both collapsed to the mat. Once they both got back to their feet, just beating the referee's count, neither man had the strength to throw any more strikes and the wrestling match began! Both men exchanged being on the offense for minutes at a time, and the end finally came around the thirteen minute mark when Callihan went for a huge bicycle kick, but Soldier Ant was able to duck it and blast Callihan hard in the face with a saluting roaring forearm. A staggered Callihan tried a clothesline, but Soldier Ant ducked under and hoisted him up. The TKO followed, and an exhausted Soldier Ant tossed an arm across Callihan for the three count.

Winner: Soldier Ant

Both men were slow to their feet, but once both were up, Callihan was quick to extend his hand. Soldier Ant took it, and Callihan raised the arms of the Militant Mat Mite into the air. A hug followed, and both men played to the Chikarmy in attendance.


Intermission was up next, and at the end, Gavin Loudspeaker brought out the special guest for the weekend 2 Cold Scorpio. Scorpio announced that not only would he be competing in Chikara this weekend, but in a few months he would return to take part in King of Trios. He also announced that he wasn't coming alone, and would be bringing with him some old friends that will help him take King of Trios to the Extreme!


6) El Generico vs 2 Cold Scorpio

This one started out with most of the crowd, El Generico, Bryce Remsburg, and 2 Cold Scorpio dancing to Scorp's old WCW theme. The two men then shook hands and proceeded to put on a twenty minute classic that had chants of "You've still got it" directed at 2 Cold Scorpio, the fans singing the "Ole" song multiple times, and "Match of the Year" chants ringing out at the end. To even attempt to do it justice in this write up is impossible, but highlights included. Generico connecting with a 450 splash at about the nine minute mark, that was kicked out of by Scorpio at a count of one. Scorpio then planted Generico with a bodyslam and proceeded to hit a beautiful 450 splash of his own. At the twelve minute mark, everyone thought the match was over when Scorpio obliterated Generico with a backdrop driver, but Generico managed to get his foot on the ropes at the two and nine tenths count. Generico came back and nailed Scorpio with a running Yakuza kick in the corner at around the fifteen minute mark, and followed it up with a half and half suplex that led to a very close two count. The end came when Scorpio connected with a picture perfect moonsault, but instead of going for the cover he played to the crowd and scaled the ropes for another high flying attack. Unfortunately for him, El Generico had sufficient time to recover and scaled the ropes as well. The BRAINBUSTAHHHHHH!!!! followed and Scorpio was not getting up from that.

Winner: El Generico

After the match, both men shook hands and hugged as the fans chanted "Match of the Year" at them. Scorpio took the microphone and said that he may have been the original master of the high flying game, but that El Generico was the future.


7) The Spectral Envoy vs Delirious & The Batiri - Elimination Rules

Delirious, Dr. Cube, and The Batiri were already in the ring when the Envoy made their entrance. Ultramantis took the mic and said that he had earlier heard Kobald wanted to make this 4 on 4 if the Envoy could find a partner. Mantis then laughed and said that the "Great and Devious" Ultramantis Black can always find a partner!! It was then that Crossbones stepped out from behind the curtain, and The Spectral Envoy foursome rushed the ring!

Elimination #1: At the six minute mark, after taking two consecutive Frightensteiners, Kobald was big splashed by a newly tagged Crossbones, and then absolutely obliterated by a Friggin' Sweet Driver. The three count quickly followed.

Elimination #2: Hallowicked shot Kodama into the ropes, and failed to see Obariyon tag himself in. Kodama ducked a Hallowicked clothesline, and Obariyon nailed Wicked from behind with a brutal elbow strike. The double team drop toe hold into a knee strike put Hallowicked down, and when he got up, Obariyon's Flying DDT ended his night.

Elimination #3 & #4: A wild brawl between Ultramantis Black and Delirious spilled to the floor, and the two of them each grabbed chairs and began swinging at one another. Referee Jon Barber eventually saw enough and disqualified both men.

Elimination #5: Frightmare had been taking it to Obariyon and knocked him out of the ring with a huge dropkick. Frightmare was bouncing up and down preparing to dive on Obariyon, but Kodama came in from behind and delivered a devastating reverse frankensteiner that got a two and fifteen sixteenths! Kodama scaled the ropes and the Flying Blockbuster was all she wrote for Frightmare.

Frightmare is Eliminated

Elimination #6: The combined tag team onslaught of Obariyon and Kodama was simply too much for Crossbones to overcome. The Batiri Blitz Kicks, followed by a Flying Blockbuster spelled the end for the big man.

Leonard F. Chikarason came to the ring and announced that the Mystery Director of Fun had issued a mandate. Tomorrow night at Anniversario: Fire in the Sky, the match between Ultramantis Black and Delirious will now officially be Falls Count Anywhere. Further more, anyone that interferes in the match will be suspended from Chikara for the remainder of the season and fined. Lastly, the match will now be: LOSER LEAVES CHIKARA!!


8) Jigsaw vs Green Ant - Chikara Grand Championship

In the MAAIIIIIINNNNN EVENT OF THE EVENING!!! Jigsaw looks to make his eigth title defense against the winner of The Countdown Showdown, Green Ant!!

The match begins with a handshake. The opening minutes of the contest is definitely a feeling out process, as both men showcase the technical wrestling skills they learned at the Wrestle Factory. Hold after hold, move after move, counter after counter, the two men keep up with one another for nearly seven minutes with neither man gaining a definitive control. Finally at around the nine minute mark, Green Ant was met with a vicious super kick from Jigsaw after leap frogging him. Jig gave up the technical exchanges at that point, and went to work with the basics, drilling Green Ant with bodyslams and suplexes. At the twelve minute mark, a double foot stomp from the second rope got a near fall, but Green Ant was able to get a hand on the ropes. Jig would remain in control for another few minutes, but a missed dropkick would give Green Ant an opportunity and he was able to lock on the Good Luck Cloverleaf. Jigsaw was caught dead in the center of the ring, and Green Ant made sure to torque back as hard as he could on the hold. Jigsaw was eventually able to crawl hand over hand toward the ropes for the break. Green Ant then went to work with leg drags, stomps on the legs, and a series of leg holds. Jigsaw was able to make the ropes on all of them, but he was wobbling when he got back to his feet. Both men would trade being in control several more times, and the match eventually reached the thirty minute mark. The end finally came when Green Ant grabbed Jigsaw's legs and went for the Cloverleaf again. Jigsaw was able to reach forward and roll him into a small package for the One, Two, Thr....KICKOUT!! Both men were quickly to their feet, and Jigsaw lashed out with a superkick, but Green Ant ducked it and connected with a dropkick to the already injured leg of Jigsaw. Green Ant moved in for the kill and locked on the Chikara Special Green. Jigsaw reached for the ropes, but they were too far away....so he began to use his free leg to kick at Green Ant. Green Ant released the hold after taking several hard kicks. He reached down to pick Jigsaw up, but Jig hooked him in another small package for the One, Two, Thr...NO!!! Again both men were to their feet, and again Jigsaw went for a superkick. Green Ant ducked it, but Jigsaw stopped himself in mid-kick, reached down, hooked Green Ant and drilled him with a Brainbuster. Jigsaw then covered him for the One, Two, Three.

JIGSAW RETAINS THE CHIKARA GRAND CHAMPIONSHIP!!

Bryce Remsburg raises the hand of Jigsaw in the air, as Quack, The Shard, Fire and Soldier Ant all make their way to ringside. After he recovers Green Ant makes his way to Jigsaw and shakes his hand. The respective partners of both men, as well as the crowd in attendance gave them a standing ovation as they embraced in the center of the ring. The show ended with Green Ant raising the hand of the Chikara Grand Champion, Jigsaw in the center of the ring.

After a year and a half of doing this fed, I just realized I have only produced 28 shows. Between work and family, I already have very limited time in which I get to play the game, and lately things like GTA 5 and a stack of unwatched wrestling DVD's have been taking up my attention. I often think to myself "Tonight, I am going to run a Chikara show" and then I don't feel like doing it. I've been pondering why that is the case, and I think I have found my answer.

I feel like I need to make a change in the way I am doing things, if I am going to continue. Because quite honestly writing out the blow by blow and the detailed results, has really taken the fun out of playing the game for me. I always think about playing, and think about angles and story lines I want to do, and then I think about typing it all up, and I choose to do something else.

So, beginning with my next show (which I hope to get to play this weekend)I am going to alter the way in which I do results. Switching to the basics of who won the match, and highlighting any angle progression or significant spots that occur during the match. Maybe a brief description of whether or not it was one sided, or a close contest. I haven't fully decided on the method yet, but I am hoping it takes the "feels like work" feeling out of playing the game.

Sorry if this disappoints anyone who happens to be reading, but I hope you can understand.

-Anniversario: Fire in the Sky-

Leonard F. Chikarason was out to kick the night off with an announcement, but he never got to make it as Ultramantis Black and Delirious brawled out from behind the curtain. Gavin Loudspeaker reminded everyone that the match was Falls Count Anywhere, that anyone who got involved would be suspended, and the the loser of the match would leave Chikara!!!


1) Ultramantis Black vs Delirious

An insane brawl the likes of which had not been seen in Chikara for some time. Merchandise tables were destroyed, fans chairs were destroyed, and both men kicked out of a Praying Mantis Bomb. The end came at the fifteen minute mark, when Ultramantis delivered Cosmic Doom on the ring apron, and then covered the unconscious form of Delirious on the floor.

Winner: Ultramantis Black

Hallowicked, Frightmare, and Crossbones came to the ring and congratulated their Spectral Envoy partner. Before they headed to the back, Hallowicked knelt down next to his former Incoherence team mate and spoke briefly to him.

After the Envoy left ringside, Dr. Cube came out from behind the curtain and stood over the fallen Delirious. He shook his cube in disappointment, and then motioned to the back. The three members of The Batiri made their way to ringside and Cube could be heard telling them that Delirious had failed him, and they were now duty bound to destroy him. None of them made a move, and Cube began to scream at them. Finally, they halfheartedly laid the boots to Delirious, before a host of referee's, students, and officials came to ringside to run them off.


2) Gran Akuma/ACH vs El Fantástico y Hermoso vs Los Ice Creams vs Osirian Portal

Elimination #1: At the eight minute mark, Ophidian absolutely annihilated Nick Madrid with the Egyptian Destroyer and pinned him.

El Fantástico y Hermoso have been eliminated.

Elimination #2: At the fifteen minute mark, Los Ice Creams connected with El Asesino on Gran Akuma and scored the fall.

Gran Akuma and ACH have been eliminated.

Elimination #3: At the nineteen minute mark, Amasis drilled Ice Cream Jr. with the Egyptian Conniption and got the win.

Los Ice Creams have been eliminated.


The Osirian Portal have 2 Points!


3) Icarus vs The Mysterious and Handsome Stranger

Icarus dominated the early portion of the match, scoring several near falls with the Shiranui and Emerald Flowsion. Eventually, The Stranger was able to take control with a huge big boot. He then went to work, and eventually made Icarus tap out to the Spinning Toe Hold.

Winner: The Mysterious and Handsome Stranger

As The Stranger celebrated and headed for the back, Icarus was left alone in the ring. After a few moments of staring at the ceiling, he rolled over and began to bang the mat in frustration. What started out looking like a temper tantrum, eventually turned into a hysterical breakdown in the center of the ring, that ended with a sobbing Icarus being taken to the back by a very obviously freaked out Chuck Taylor and Johnny Gargano.


4) Quack/Shard vs The Throwbacks vs The RockNES Monsters vs Hallowicked/Frightmare

Elimination #1: At the twelve minute mark, Frightmare connected with the Frightcrusher on Johnny Yuma and pinned him.

The RockNES Monsters have been eliminated.

Elimination #2: At the eighteen minute mark, Dasher Hatfield planted Mike Quackenbush with the Grand Slam for the One, Two, Three.

Mike Quackenbush and The Shard have been eliminated.

Elimination #3: At the twenty four minute mark, The Throwbacks connected with the Grandslam Dunk on Frightmare for the victory.

The Spectral Envoy have been eliminated.


The Throwbacks have 2 Points!


5) El Generico vs "Mr. Touchdown" Mark Angelosetti

El Generico was dominant from the start, and used his years of experience to confound the rookie. The Brainbustahhhhh connected, but Touchdown managed to drape a foot across the ropes at the last possible second. A bit later when the referee was distracted, Angelosetti blasted El Generico in the head with his football helmet. The Extra Point that followed was unnecessary, and Generico was covered for the pin.

Winner: "Mr. Touchdown" Mark Angelosetti


6) 3.0 vs The Young Bucks vs FIST vs BLK OUT

Elimination #1: At the eight minute mark, Eddie Kingston blasted Johnny Gargano with the Backfist to the Future for the 1,2,3.

FIST have been eliminated.

Elimination #2: At the fifteen minute mark, Blk Jeez smoked Nick Jackson with the Million $ Dropkick and rolled him up for the pinfall.

The Young Bucks have been eliminated.

Elimination #3: At the nineteen minute mark, Eddie Kingston nailed Scott Parker with two Sliding D's for the victory.

3.0 have been eliminated.

7) Jakob Hammermeier vs Tim Donst

Hammermeier hit the ring looking ready for a war. He paced back and forth as the music of Tim Donst was played not once, not twice, but three times. Donst never appeared, and Hammermeier was eventually declared the winner by forfeit. A very angry Jakob told the SMV camera that he would be waiting, and when Donst showed his face again, he would knock it off his head.


8) Sami Callihan vs Jigsaw vs Green Ant vs 2 Cold Scorpio - Non Title - Elimination Rules

Elimination #1: At the fourteen minute mark, Green Ant forced Sami Callihan to tap out to the Chikara Special Green.

Sami Callihan has been Eliminated.

Elimination #2: At the twenty minute mark, 2 Cold Scorpio hit his third Scorpio Splash in as many minutes and pinned Jigsaw!!!

Jigsaw has been eliminated.

Elimination #3: At the twenty four minute mark, Green Ant forced 2 Cold Scorpio to submit to the Torture Rack.

2 Cold Scorpio has been eliminated.

9) The Batiri vs The Colony - Campeones De Parejas

Fall #1: The first fall went back and forth for some time, but the end came when Obariyon went for a superplex on Soldier Ant, only to be shoved off the buckle. When Obariyon regained his feet, Soldier Ant connected with a picture perfect flying crossbody and got the 1,2,3.

The Colony win the First Fall.

Fall #2: Ten minutes into the second fall, Obariyon decimated Soldier Ant with the Flying DDT to tie the match up at one fall apiece.

The Batiri win the Second Fall.

Fall #3: The match had passed the thirty minute mark when the end finally came. Fire Ant obliterated Kodama with the Beach Break, but instead of going for the cover, he brought Soldier Ant into the ring, and The Colony smeared Kodama into the turnbuckle with Ants Go Marching. Obariyon hit the ring and nailed Fire Ant from behind, and while referee Dan Yost was trying to get Soldier Ant out of the ring, Kobald ran to ringside and pulled Kodama from the ring, making Obariyon legal. As Yost turned around, he saw Kodama out of the ring, and he saw Obariyon destroy Fire Ant with the Flying DDT. Yost went for the count, as Kobald yanked Soldier Ant off of the apron. One, Two, Three....

THE BATIRI ARE STILL THE CAMPEONES DE PAREJAS


After the bell rang, Obariyon and Kodama slid quickly out of the ring where Soldier Ant and Kobald were brawling. The three members of The Batiri quickly overwhelmed Soldier Ant and were laying the boots to him, when Green Ant came running out from the back and began fighting all three men. Soldier Ant regained his feet and joined his partner in the fight. Finally, Fire Ant recovered and launched himself over the top rope onto the pile. Dr. Cube escaped the chaos of the brawl on the floor and rolled into the ring. He shoved Gavin Loudspeaker to the mat and took his microphone.

"Now that the fool Delirious has been eliminated, it is time to begin the master plan......"

The curtain parts and four masked men make their way out to ringside. They immediately join The Batiri in beating down The Colony. It wasn't until The Spectral Envoy, as well as The Shard raced to ringside, that the forces of Dr. Cube retreated to the back.

While the identities of the men under the mask are unknown, the masks themselves are familiar...

The Gekido has returned.

Delirious has failed me for the last time. I should have rid myself of the fool some time ago, when I found out that his brain had been turned to mush thanks to the Eye of Tyr.

My Batiri did as they were told, and they shall be my commanders in my glorious war against Ultramantis Black, The Spectral Envoy, and Chikara as a whole.

Which brings us to the questions on the lips of all you fools....

My deal with the PWG fools is long over with. The return of the Gekido has nothing to do with them.

I have taken my own creations, and I have given them the faces that brought so much rage to Chikara previously. But these are my soldiers, with no ulterior motives like the men who previously donned the guises of The Swarm and 17.

My goal is dominance, and with the soldiers I have amassed, the end is in sight.

CHIKARA EVENT CENTER:
TRANSPORT TO OBLIVION

In the Main Event of the evening, Ultramantis Black, Hallowicked, and Frightmare of The Spectral Envoy team up with Green Ant, Fire Ant and Soldier Ant of The Colony to take on Dr. Cube's force of Obariyon, Kodama, and Kobald of The Batiri and The Swarm consisting of AssailANT, CombatANT, and DeviANT in an Elimination Match.


Jakob Hammermeier looks to take out the disappointment of not getting his hands on Tim Donst, as he takes on the man who suffered a bit of a break down the last time we saw him, Icarus.


El Generico and Sami Callihan are two of the biggest stars in the world of independent wrestling, and they will meet one on one inside Chikara's ring.


In Trios action, Dasher Hatfield, Sugar Dunkerton, and "Mr. Touchdown" Mark Angelosetti of The Throwbacks take on Chikara Grand Champion Jigsaw, "Lightning" Mike Quackenbush, and The Shard.


One night before he takes his shot at the Campeones, Eddie Kingston steps into the ring against the hot newcomer to the Chikara ring, The Mysterious and Handsome Stranger.


In tag team action with points on the line, Scott Parker and Shane Matthews look to get back on the board, but they will have to do so against the Delicious Dairy Deviants, Los Ice Creams!!


Matt and Nick Jackson of The Young Bucks will step into the ring with Chuck Taylor and Johnny Gargano of FIST. With points in play, and two teams not afraid to stretch the rules, this one could get interesting.


Gran Akuma and ACH have zero points, and they are looking to remedy that situation. They will have to be 100% on their game, as they will step into the ring against a Mystery Team!

CHIKARA EVENT CENTER:
THE BURDEN HARDEST TO BEAR

In the Main Event of the Evening, Obariyon and Kodama look to make their second defense of the Campeones De Parejas as they step into the ring against Blk Out. Eddie Kingston and Blk Jeez took down three teams in one match to earn the shot, can they take out the champs to secure the straps, or will Cube's demonic duo retain?


In a battle of two teams with two points, Dasher Hatfield and Sugar Dunkerton of The Throwbacks step into the ring against Amasis and Ophidian of The Osirian Portal. One team will leave with a title shot at Chikarasaurus Rex, while the other will go home with nothing.


In Trios action, The Colony will step into the ring with their doppelgangers, The Swarm. The Colony won this war once, can they do it again, or will the new Swarm prove too much to handle.


Ultramantis Black has vowed to wipe out the forces of Dr. Cube and drive him from Chikara. He will get to take a step toward that goal, as he steps into the ring with the mysterious, 17.


In Trios action, El Generico, Scott Parker, and Shane Matthews reform 3.Ole to take on Icarus, Johnny Gargano, and Chuck Taylor of FIST.


In 4 way singles action, Jakob Hammermeier steps into the ring against Kobald of The Batiri, The Mysterious and Handsome Stranger, and Mr. Touchdown


In 4 way tag team action with points on the line, The Young Bucks will take on Mike Quackenbush and The Shard, Gran Akuma and ACH, and The Spectral Envoy unit of Hallowicked and Frightmare.

The show opens with Icarus coming to the ring. Gone are his cocky attitude and banter with the crowd, instead his head hangs and a look of dejection is etched all over his face. He takes the microphone from Gavin Loudspeaker and attempts to speak multiple times, but each time he gets out a word or two and stops. Finally, with a deep sigh, he begins...

"I know that I am not the most popular guy in Chikara, and I know most of you probably don't care, but I wanted to come out here and apologize for the break down you witnessed at the last Chikara event. I've been in this company since the beginning, and over the years despite what my attitude may have portrayed, I have cherished my time with this company. I have constantly strived to be the best at what I do, and I feel that I have been running in place for some time. So I made it my goal to earn my way too a shot at the Grand Championship, and try as I might, I continue to fail. Last show, all of this hit me and my emotions got the best of me. So apologies to all of you, apologies to the boys in the back, and apologies to my teammates in FIST."

With that, Icarus hands the microphone back to Gavin and heads backstage without making eye contact with anyone.


1) 3.0 vs Los Ice Creams

The opening minutes of the match saw good back and forth action between Scott Parker and Hijo Del Ice Cream. Parker nearly got the win with a Flash Roll Up, but Hijo kicked out. Ice Cream Junior got into the ring and took control with a Jack and Jill Hammer and would dominate Parker for several minutes. A desperation piledriver off a backdrop attempt turned the tide for Parker, who tagged Matthews. Matthews came in with a series of head scissors and then hooked Junior in the Boston Crab. Hijo broke it up, but Parker re-entered the ring and tossed him, leading to a 3.0 Lung Blower for the win!

3.0 have 1 Point toward title contention


2) The Mysterious and Handsome Stranger vs Eddie Kingston

The Stranger came into this match with a plan, going immediately to work on the leg of Eddie Kingston. Kingston also had a plan, battering the Stranger with chops, clotheslines, and punches. Momentum switched back and forth several times, but the change came when The Stranger ducked a lariat from Eddie Kingston and blasted Kingston with a lariat of his own. The Stranger capitalized as a stunned Kingston was on the mat and hooked in the Spinning Toe Hold. Kingston tried to get to the ropes, and tried to kick The Stranger off of him, but could not, and was forced to tap out or risk major damage to his leg the night before a title shot.

Winner: The Mysterious and Handsome Stranger


3) FIST vs The Young Bucks

Nick Jackson started the match against Chuck Taylor and never got out of the ring. This was as one sided a match as you get as FIST made quick tags and dismantled the younger Jackson brother. A Hurts Donut looked to spell the end of the match, but Matt Jackson broke it up. Gargano tagged Taylor and a few moves later, Nick was drilled with an Omega Driver. Matt tried to get involved again, but Gargano met him with a vicious superkick and Taylor covered for the One, Two, Three.

FIST have 1 Point toward title contention


4) Icarus vs Jakob Hammermeier

Icarus came to the ring looking a bit more motivated than he did earlier. Hammermeier looked ready for war, his fist taped up with the words "RIP Donst" written on them. The match started with the collar and elbow tie up, and Icarus immediately tried to break the rules by poking Jakob in the eye. Jakob however, dodged away from the blow and blasted Icarus in the face with a huge right hand that left him unconscious on the mat. Referee Bryce Remsburg immediately called for the bell after checking on the fallen Icarus.

Winner: Jakob Hammermeier

Chuck Taylor and Johnny Gargano came to ringside with a host of officials to check on their fallen partner. As the officials attended to Icarus, Gargano and Taylor were carrying on a conversation that ended with Taylor shrugging his shoulders and Gargano shaking his head. Icarus was eventually helped to the back by both men and the officials as the show went to intermission.


During intermission it was announced by Gavin Loudspeaker that at the upcoming King of Trios tournament, Ring of Honor would be sending a team to compete, and the members of that team would be "Unbreakable" Michael Elgin and the ROH Tag Team Champions Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly!

As intermission came to an end Sami Callihan made his way to ringside and asked for the microphone. He went on to announce that HE was coming to King of Trios, and he was bringing two of his good friends with him. The same good friends who tonight would step into the ring against Gran Akuma and ACH and show Chikara that OHIO IS FOR KILLERS!!!


5) Gran Akuma and ACH vs Irish Airborne

This was almost twenty minutes of bell to bell action. Both teams traded off frequent tags, high impact moves, and high flying action. The end came when Irish Airborne connected with the Irish Coffee at the 19:47 mark. Dave then covered ACH for the One, Two, Three as Jake nailed Gran Akuma on the apron. Sami Callihan hit the ring and celebrated the first Chikara victory of his new trio and the three headed for the back. ACH was in a considerable amount of pain on the mat clutching his shoulder and had to be helped from the ring by Akuma and the referee.

Irish Airborne have 1 Point toward title contention.


6) The Throwbacks vs Mike Quackenbush, The Shard, & Jigsaw

This will likely go down as one of the shortest and most one sided Trios matches in Chikara history, much to the surprise of everyone in attendance. Quackenbush and Hatfield were the first two men in the ring. Quack opened the match by blasting Hatfield with a huge palm strike after an Irish whip. Dasher never recovered, although he did manage to fight his way out of the Chikara Special. Quack eventually tagged The Shard who obliterated Hatfield with a Yakuza Kick to the seated Dasher. He then rolled him up for the One, Two, Three. Sugar was in to check on Dasher immediately, as Touchdown had a bit of a temper tantrum at ringside.

Winners: Mike Quackenbush, The Shard, & Jigsaw


7) Sami Callihan vs El Generico

A fantastic twenty five minute war that had the Chikarmy on their feet chanting "Match of the Year." Generico controlled early using his speed and daredevil high flying to keep Callihan off balance. A 450 splash got a close two count for Generico, but Callihan got the ropes. After that Sami grounded Generico and really grinded on him with holds for several minutes, before devastating him with a seated lariat. The action spilled to the floor, and Callihan nailed a suicide dive that smashed both men into the guard rail and led to respective eighteen and nineteen counts on the floor. Callihan eventually hooked in the Stretch Muffler, but Generico clawed his way to the bottom rope. Callihan would bust out the Headlock Driver to plant Generico and it was enough for the One, Two, Three.

Winner: Sami Callihan

After the match they shook hands in the center of the ring much to the delight of the fans in attendance.


8) The Spectral Envoy & The Colony vs The Batiri & The Swarm - Elimination Rules

Elimination #1: At the 9 minute mark, Fire Ant pinned DeviANT after The Colony used The Ant Hill on him.

Elimination #2: At the 16 minute mark, Hallowicked planted Obariyon with The Graveyard Smash for the pinfall.

Elimination #3: At the 23 minute mark, Green Ant forced AssailANT to tap out to the Chikara Special Green.

Elimination #4: At the 28 minute mark, CombatANT low blowed Ultramantis Black then nailed him with the TKO for the pinfall.

Elimination #5: At the 33 minute mark, Kobald landed the Demon's Toilet on Hallowicked for the three count.

(The match was briefly stopped as a shaken up Hallowicked was helped from ringside. He could be seen clutching at his face, which is where a good portion of Kobald's weight landed.)

Elimination #6: At the 39 minute mark, Kobald dropped the Demon's Toilet on Fire Ant for the One, Two, Three.

Elimination #7: At the 44 minute mark, Soldier Ant pinned Kodama after Ants Go Marching

Elimination #8: At the 48 minute mark, Green Ant locked Kobald in the Good Luck Cloverleaf and forced him to tap out.

(Kobald was clutching his arm as he slowly left the ringside area)

Elimination #9: At the 52 minute mark, CombatANT blasted Frightmare with a Saluting Headbutt and pinned him.

Elimination #10: At the 56 minute mark, CombatANT hoisted Soldier Ant up and drilled him with the TKO which led to the pinfall.

Elimination #11: At the 61 minute mark, Green Ant wrenched the Good Luck Cloverleaf in on CombatANT, and The Swarm member tapped out.


Sole Survivor: Green Ant!


Soldier and Fire Ant were quickly back to ringside to celebrate with their partner, as an angry Dr. Cube accompanied CombatANT to the back, swearing that Chikara would pay for all of the indignities he had suffered.

Coming out of the Chikara show last night, we have three injuries to report.

Firstly ACH dislocated his shoulder and will miss tonight's show.

Kobald of The Batiri did minor damage to his arm during an exchange with Green Ant that ended in a hammerlock takedown just before he was eliminated with the Clover Leaf. The injury is not believed to be serious, but Chikara officials are holding him out of the second show of their weekend shot since the card has to be shuffled anyway.

Lastly, Hallowicked suffered a broken jaw when Kobald landed on his face while executing his top rope sitdown splash finisher. He will definitely miss tonight;s show, and will likely miss next month's Chikarasaurus Rex show as well.

Chikara said on Twitter that they will release a new line up for tonight's show very soon.
