-Chikara Presents- -The 3rd Show of Season 12- -The Dweller in the Depths- 1) Five Team Battle Royal (Winning Team Chooses 1st Round TWGP Opponents) Eliminations were as follows: 1) Johnny Gargano was eliminated by Hallowicked 2) Scott "Jagged" Parker was eliminated by Frightmare 3) Chuck Taylor was eliminated by Dasher Hatfield 4) Gran Akuma was eliminated by "Big Magic" Shane Matthews 5) Dasher Hatfield was eliminated by Hallowicked and Frightmare 6) Hallowicked was eliminated by "Big Magic" Shane Matthews 7) ACH was eliminated by Frightmare 8) "Big Magic" Shane Matthews was eliminated by Sugar Dunkerton 9) Frightmare as eliminated by Sugar Dunkerton SUGAR DUNKERTON IS THE WINNER OF THE BATTLE ROYAL!2) Mike Quackenbush & The Shard vs Dojo Bros (Roderick Strong & Eddie Edwards) The Shard had stated in pre-match interviews that he wanted revenge on the "PWG" contingent that had turned against him, and was apparently quite steamed that he didn't get that revenge last month against The Young Bucks. As soon as the bell rang, The Shard unleashed a brutal superkick that sent Eddie Edwards over the top rope to the floor. Roderick Strong charged The Shard with a clothesline, but The Shard ducked it and unleashed a forearm strike that knocked Roderick Strong about half loopy. Shard tagged out to Quack, who then blasted the still staggered Strong with a palm strike, and called for the QD3. Shard re-entered the ring and bolted across it, landing a huge somersault plancha on Eddie Edwards on the floor. Quack hoisted up Strong and planted him with the Quackendriver III, and that led to the one, two, three. The Shard and Mike Quackenbush have 1 Point!Leonard F. Chikarason comes to the ring and thanks everyone for coming, then says that he has a few announcements courtesy of the Anonymous Director of Fun. First is some bad news as Super Dragon is not here tonight, therefore the Kingston and Generico versus Steen and Super Dragon match has been cancelled. However, that has allowed us a unique opportunity as now Eddie Kingston and Sami Callihan will team up against Kevin Steen and Drake Younger, and it will STILL be a Guerrilla Warfare match!!!
Furthermore, El Generico will step into the ring against Kobald of the Batiri in singles action!
Lastly, on the second show of the upcoming Tag World Grand Prix, the winner of the Chikara Grand Championship match between Jigsaw and Ultramantis Black will defend the Chikara Grand Championship, against a man making his long awaited return to Chikara, a former Rey De Voladores, the Japanese sensation, Kota Ibushi!!!!3) The Mysterious and Handsome Stranger vs "Mr. Touchdown" Mark Angelosetti Some early back and forth led to the Stranger gaining the upper hand, which seemed to anger Touchdown. Another round of hold based catch as catch can wrestling, also ended with the Stranger coming out ahead, and Touchdown was even angrier, kicking the ropes and yelling at the referee. Sugar Dunkerton came to ringside and tried to calm Angelosetti down, and it worked briefly. Another exchange began, and it ended when Touchdown slapped Stranger hard across the face and took over on offense. Sugar yelled at him from the floor for unsportsmanlike conduct, and Touchdown was quick to apologize. The two men exchanged control multiple times, until Stranger went on a hot streak, gaining multiple near falls from The Stroke and an STO. Touchdown finally managed to get a shot in that staggered Stranger, and then headed to his corner where he grabbed his football helmet, intending to use it as a weapon. Sugar was quickly up on the apron and grabbed the helmet to stop Touchdown from his cheating. A tug of war ensued, and eventually Touchdown simply let go of the helmet, causing Sugar to fall to the floor. Angelosetti then laughed and called him a nerd. Touchdown turned around and was felled by a lariat, which was followed up by the Flying Leg Drop, and was then covered for the One, Two, Three. Winner: The Mysterious and Handsome StrangerAs The Stranger celebrated, an irate Touchdown rolled out of the ring and got in the face of Sugar Dunkerton. Dasher Hatfield came from the back, obviously fresh out of the shower and admonished both men, until the Throwbacks trio headed for the back. 4) The Young Bucks vs The Colony A nearly twenty five minute classic between these two teams. Soldier Ant worked over Matt Jackson for much of the early part of the match, then he and Fire Ant made frequent tags to keep the Buck on their side of the ring. After a solid seven minutes of that, Matt was able to leap frog a Soldier Ant charge, and forward roll into his partner for the tag. Nick cleaned house on The Colony for a few moments, but again the ants regained control. Finally after multiple near falls, Nick Jackson connected with an x-factor, and the Bucks took over on the offense, making tag after tag and isolating Soldier Ant. Again, after several minutes, Soldier got a lucky break to tag Fire Ant and the match continued. The end came at twenty four and a half minutes, when a double Super Kick by the Young Bucks sent Soldier Ant to the floor. A leaping kick from Fire Ant rocked the world of Nick Jackson, but a Matt Jackson super kick rocked Fire Ant. Nick recovered quickly and More Bang for Your Buck followed and secured the win, and Chikara Contracts for The Young Bucks! The Young Bucks have 2 Points! After the match, Matt and Nick Jackson helped Soldier and Fire Ant to their feet and extended hands for a handshake. The Colony hesitated only a moment, shaking the hands of the Bucks to the applause of everyone in attendance. The Bucks then each hit a super kick on the members of The Colony and the audience went molten booing The Young Bucks. After intermission, Leonard F. Chikarason came back to the ring and took the microphone. He said that the Director of Fun would like to congratulate The Young Bucks on securing Chikara contracts and on obtaining two points toward title contention. However, the actions they perpetrated at the end of the match were despicable. As punishment for the bad sportsmanship, The Young Bucks will not be granted a regular match to acquire the third point they need to contend for the Campeones De Parejas. Instead they will be entered into the Tag World Grand Prix! Which means they either win the whole tournament, or they go back to zero points with everyone else who didn't win the tournament!!! Furthermore, their first round opponents will be another team with an attitude problem....THE BRISCOE BROTHERS!!!5) El Generico vs Kobald El Generico came out and quickly dominated the Goblin. After about three minutes Generico blasted Kobald in the corner with a yakuza kick, Kobald stumbled out of the corner and crashed into referee Dan Yost. Delirious quickly slid into the ring, and attacked Generico from behind. Ultramantis Black came rushing out of the back and attacked The Batiri. Dan Yost turned around and saw the whole mess and called for the bell. All four men brawled for a few minutes before security came rushing out and pulled them apart. Winner: No Contest6) Green Ant vs Icarus This one started slow with Green Ant working over the leg of Icarus, and Icarus constantly grabbing ropes and claiming hair pulling. Icarus took the advantage off a thumb to the eye, and began to work on the lower back of Green Ant. A rope assisted abdominal stretch did quite a number on The Colony member, but Bryce Remsburg eventually caught onto what Icarus was doing and forced him to break the hold. Icarus continued to dominate and went for a Pedigree, but was back dropped out of it. Green Ant then got fired up and peppered Icarus with dropkicks, and forearm smashes. A leg grapevine nearly got the tap out, but Icarus managed to barely reach the ropes. Green Ant followed with a series of body slams that left Icarus begging for mercy, Green Ant then connected with a beautiful dropkick from the top rope. Green Ant called for the Texas Cloverleaf, but as he reached for the legs of Icarus, Icarus reached up and rolled him into a pin. Bryce Remsburg dropped down for the count and never saw Icarus with a fistful of tights. One, Two, Three. Winner: IcarusGreen Ant tried to appeal to Bryce Remsburg, as Icarus quickly exited the ring and sauntered cockily to the back. Green Ant pounded the mat in frustration as the bad year for members of The Colony seems to have continued. 7) Eddie Kingston & Sami Callihan vs Kevin Steen & Drake Younger - Guerrilla Warfare This devolved into a brawl the likes of which Chikara has never seen. In the opening minutes of the match as Steen and Kingston brawled in the crowd, Drake Younger tried to put Sami Callihan through a table at ringside, but instead Sami blocked him and piledrove Drake smashing the table to bits. Sami set up another table on the floor and placed Drake on it. Callihan climbed to the top turnbuckle and went for a splash, but Drake moved and Sami splatted on the floor. Meanwhile Steen and Kingston got back to ringside and Steen smashed Kingston hard into the ringpost, before suplexing him onto the concrete, where Eddie's legs connected with the guard rail. Drake took a chair from a fan and blasted Sami in the head with it, Callihan ignored it and spit at Younger, before the chair was again slammed down on his head. Eddie and Steen rolled back into the ring and Eddie took the upper hand pulling Steen's shirt up over his head and chopping him until his chest was beat red. Kingston choked a fallen Steen in the corner with his boot, until Steen managed to break it by punching Eddie in the groin. On the floor, a now bloody Callihan rammed Younger into the post four times, and then obliterated him with a suplex onto an open chair. In the ring Kevin Steen connected with the Diverticulitis on Kingston who managed to kick out at two. On the floor, Callihan used the mangled chair to blast a now bloody Younger in the head, and then drilled him with a Headlock Driver on the floor!! Steen tossed Kingston out of the ring, at nearly the same time Callihan shoved Younger back into the ring. As Steen takes a moment to jaw with a fan, Kingston pulls a length of chain out from under the ring and wraps it around his fist. When Steen pulls him to his feet, Kingston clocks Steen in the face and lays him out on the floor. As Kingston begins to choke the half conscious Steen with the chain, Sami Callihan hooks Drake Younger in the Stretch Muffler in the center of the ring, and twists it into a position where he is able to stomp on the back of Drake's head. Drake does not tap, but eventually the pain (and stomping) are too much and Jon Barber declares him unable to continue. Winners: Eddie Kingston & Sami CallihanAfter the match, Sami reaches into his singlet and drops the mask of CombatANT on the fallen Younger before heading out of the ring. Meanwhile security has been dispatched to pull Kingston off of Steen who is lying unconscious in a pool of his own blood. A second brief intermission is declared by Gavin Loudspeaker as the crew attempts to clean up ringside of this very un-Chikara like scene. 8) Tim Donst & Jakob Hammermeier vs Adam Cole and Joey Ryan - Campeones De Parejas Fall #1: Jakob and Joey Ryan started the match and Ryan beat on Hammermeier unmercifully for several minutes. Jakob attempted a come back several times, but each time Ryan was able to use his years of experience and keep the less experienced Hammermeier on the ropes. Finally, Jakob was able to reverse a spinebuster into a DDT, and crawl over and tag Donst. Tim came in the ring and immediately pie faced Adam Cole who attempted to get in the ring. As Bryce Remsburg was restraining him, Donst kicked Joey Ryan in the groin, and then drilled him with the SDT. Remsburg turned around just in time to count the 3, and give the fall to the champions. Fall #2: This fall began much the same way except it was Adam Cole who was taking it to Jakob. Cole came very close to pinning Hammermeier after connecting with his straight jacket German, but Donst broke up the pin, tossed Hammermeier roughly from the ring and took over on the offense. Donst was a man possessed this night, drilling Cole immediately with an SDT, which to the shock of everyone in attendance, Cole kicked out of. Donst then dropped him with two consecutive gator rolls, which Cole managed to kick out of. Enraged, Donst locked in the inverted Chikara Special, and Cole somehow managed to crawl to the ropes. Donst snapped and kicked Joey Ryan off the apron. He then kicked his own partner Jakob off of the apron. He pulled down the straps on his gear and proceeded to hit THREE SDT's on Adam Cole before covering his limp form for the three count and the victory. Tim Donst & Jakob Hammermeier retain the Campeones De ParejasDonst grabbed both titles and walked right past his partner who was holding his head on the floor. The SMV camera got right into the face of Donst as he was heading to the back, and he could be heard muttering amongst other things, that the BDK was dead, Jakob was his cross to bare, and that he would show all of them that he was the greatest wrestler in the world. However it wasn't so much the things he was saying that made this stand out, it was the crazed look in his eye. Grand Champion - Jigsaw def. Colt Cabana ("Anniversario: The Ogg and I") def. -Chikara Presents- -The 4th Show of Season 12- -Enter The Nightbird- Leonard F. Chikarason heads to the ring to begin the show. After thanking all of the fans in attendance, he announced all sixteen teams who will be competing in Tag World Grand Prix next month. They are, as follows...
Representing Chikara:
Mike Quackenbush and The Shard Los Ice Creams Gran Akuma and ACH The Throwbacks The Colony 3.0 The Young Bucks The Briscoe Brothers FIST The Spectral Envoy
and Special Guests:
Paul London and Brian Kendrick Da Soul Touchaz Michael Elgin and Brian Cage, The Unbreakable Machines! Johnny Goodtime and Johnny Yuma, The RockNES Monsters! Ray Rosas and Nick Madrid, El Fantástico y Hermoso
and finally, the mystery team that will challenge 3.0 tonight will be the final team to compete.1) The Colony vs Los Ice Creams The Colony came into this looking to break the streak of bad luck that has plagued them all season. Fire Ant and Ice Cream Junior started the match, and Fire Ant was not wasting any time. He blasted the larger man with a huge kick, and caught him with a springboard cross body that drew a two count. Fire Ant sent the big man sailing into the ropes, and tried to fell him with a shoulder tackle, but the larger Ice Cream mowed Fire Ant down. Junior tagged in Hijo who locked the downed ant in a sharpshooter, and forced him to crawl to the ropes. As referee Jon Barber got El Hijo to break the hold, Hijo turned around and blasted Soldier Ant with a punch to the face that sent him to the floor. Both Ice Cream's got into the ring and nailed Fire Ant with El Asesino. Ice Cream Junior dove onto Soldier Ant on the floor, as Hijo Del Ice Cream covered Fire Ant for the 1,2,3. The streak of bad luck continues. Los Ice Creams have 1 Point!2) The Throwbacks vs FIST Two teams that are no strangers to one another went at it in a classic. Twenty five minute of comedy, technical wrestling, and high flying. Dasher and Gargano wrestled the early part of the match, with Dasher managing to always be one step ahead. A frustrated Gargano tagged to Taylor, while Dasher brought Sugar in. That is when the shenanigans began involving referee Dan Yost being forced to be a back board after Chuck fouled Sugar and Sugar took his free throws. Then things turned dangerous as Chuck Taylor tossed a hand grenade into the rim that was Dan Yost's arms, but Dasher hit the ring and used his baseball skills to throw the grenade all of the way across the arena where Gavin Loudspeaker and Leonard Chikarason were forced to evacuate the commentation station. Fortunately it turned out that the grenade was a dud. In the chaos Gargano nearly stole a win after rolling up Sugar and pulling his tights. The match continued on, and the end came when Sugar hit a huge clothesline that sent himself and Chuckie T all the way to the floor. Dasher and Gargano hit the ring, and after several reversals, Gargano was able to nail Hatfield with the Hurts Donut. Gargano covered and put his feet on the ropes. Dan Yost didn't see the cheating, and Chuck Taylor was able to hold onto Sugar Dunkerton long enough for the 1,2,3 to be counted! FIST have 1 Point!3) THE COUNTDOWN SHOWDOWN! Entrant #1: "Mr. Touchdown" Mark Angelosetti Entrant #2: The Mysterious and Handsome Stranger Elimination #1: The Mysterious and Handsome Stranger hadn't even removed his hat, when Mr. Touchdown rushed across the ring and avalanches him into the corner. A series of stomps to the fallen opponent followed, and then Touchdown tossed the masked man to the floor. He tossed his cowboy hat out after him, drawing the jeers of the Chikarmy. Entrant #3: El Generico Entrant #4: Gran Akuma Elimination #2: Mr. Touchdown continued to display an arrogant attitude, slapping both El Generico and Gran Akuma in the face. Akuma responded with a series of kicks that drove Touchdown into the corner, a Generico Yakuza kick rocked the world of the rookie, and a final kick from Akuma sent him sailing over the ropes to the floor. Entrant #5: Eddie Kingston Entrant #6: The Shard Entrant #7: Icarus Elimination #3: The Shard who has been on a roll in Chikara lately, tested his luck against the wrong man tonight. Shard fired a chop off on Eddie Kingston who smiled at him, before blistering him with about a dozen chops, before clotheslining him over the top rope to the floor. Entrant #8: Hallowicked Elimination #4: Eddie Kingston wasn't done, as this time Gran Akuma found himself in the path of "The War King." Akuma fired off a series of kicks, but Kingston shook them off and belted him with a Backfist to the Future. Akuma stumbled toward the ropes, and a huge boot sent him over and out of the match. Entrant #9: Kobald Entrant #10: Mike Quackenbush Entrant #11: ACH Elimination #5: ACH came in like a house of fire, hitting dropkicks on everyone in the match. He took a second to play to the crowd and that moment of inexperience cost him as Icarus low blowed him, and dumped him to the floor. Entrant #12: Delirious Elimination #6: Kobald was slinking around the ring, picking and choosing his shots. He slapped Hallowicked hard in the face, and "The Nightmare Warrior" lost his cool and drilled Kobald hard in the face with a series of forearm shots that left the little goblin stumbling. Hallowicked then hurled Kobald to the floor, where the little goblin splatted with a sickening thud. Elimination #7: Delirious came in and went straight for Mike Quackenbush who was working over Icarus in the corner. Delirious grabbed two hand fulls of Quack's tights and heaved him over the top rope. Entrant #13: Sami Callihan Elimination #8:Delirious and Hallowicked found one another in the center of the ring and went to war. Unfortunately for El Generico he backed away from Eddie Kingston and landed directly in the middle of the former Incoherence. For a split second, something clicked like old times and Delirious and Hallowicked took a respite from their personal war, each grabbed El Generico, and chucked him over the top rope to the floor. Entrant #14: Frightmare Entrant #15: Green Ant Elimination #9: Sami Callihan had exchanged with everyone in the ring at least once. Finally he set his sights on Frightmare. He had the Envoy member almost eliminated when Icarus felt the urge to intervene. Callihan forgot all about Frightmare, and blasted Icarus with a nasty headbutt that sent him stumbling into the ropes. A bicycle kick sent "The Wing Ringed Warrior" out of the ring and hard to the floor. Elimination #10: Delirious and Hallowicked continued to war all over the ring, but once Frightmare was able to get away from Callihan, he immediately went to help his partner. Delirious fought valiantly, but against the combined might of The Spectral Envoy, he eventually fell. The two masked Envoy members tossed Delirious to the floor. Elimination #11: Hallowicked turned around, satisfied with having eliminated an enemy of The Envoy, but unfortunately he turned directly into an Eddie Kingston Yakuza kick that sent him out of the ring and crashing down onto the prone form of his former partner. Elimination #12: Sami Callihan was waiting behind Eddie Kingston, ready to nail him with a bicycle kick and send him out of the ring. He never saw Green Ant come up from behind, grab him and throw him straight to the floor and out of the match. Elimination #13: Frightmare saw his partner Hallowicked crash to the floor and turned around to see Eddie Kingston was the one that did the job. The smallest member of The Envoy nailed Kingston with a dropkick that staggered Eddie backwards into the ropes. Green Ant came from behind and shoved Frightmare hard into Eddie Kingston, sending both men over the top rope in a heap of arms and legs. Eddie Kingston crashed hard to the floor, while Frightmare was able to hold on to the top rope. Elimination #14: Green Ant charged at Frightmare, hoping to knock him off the apron. Instead Frightmare ducked down and fired a shoulder into the midsection of Green Ant. Frightmare springboarded onto the top rope, double stomped Green Ant in the back, and landed back in the ring. Frightmare then was across the ring in a flash and launched himself into a cross body block on Green Ant who had stumbled away from the ropes. Green Ant did his best to catch Frightmare, but the impact sent him staggering backwards into the ropes with Frightmare caught in his grasp. The momentum was not enough to send both of them over the top. Green Ant let loose a war cry, and hoisted Frightmare up over his head and hit a sort of fall away slam that sent Frightmare over the top rope and to the floor! THE WINNER OF THE COUNTDOWN SHOWDOWN IS: GREEN ANT!Intermission followed, and after intermission, Dasher Hatfield and Sugar Dunkerton came to the ring and announced that since last night they won the right to choose their first round opponents at Tag World Grand Prix they have chosen Chuck Taylor and Johnny Garagano of FIST, since they were cheated earlier tonight and want a chance to redeem themselves and right that wrong.4) 3.0 vs A Mystery Team Scott Parker and Shane Matthews hit the ring and awaited the opponents. The lights in the building dimmed and Mystery Music began to play over the sound system. The curtain parted and Ophidian slithered out onto the floor clad in gear of black and purple. Behind him came Amasis, clad again in a black robe with a large Ankh hanging from his neck. He raised his hands to the sky as Ophidian continued to slither toward the ring, and then dropped to his knee and bowed. He removed the Ankh and the robe to reveal matching black and purple gear. They headed to the ring, and although the dancing was replaced with an eerie feeling of foreboding, it would appear, they have returned.... 4) 3.0 vs The Osirian Portal This was, one sided to say the least. Ophidian and Amasis blitzkrieged 3.0 as soon as they hit the ring. Shane Matthews was immediately planted by the Egyptian Destroyer and tossed from the ring. The Portal made quick tags, and quick work of Scott Parker, finishing him off with the Osirian Sacrament. Ophidian slithered on top of Parker for the One, Two, Three. Meanwhile Amasis was on his knees calling praise to Anubis, Isis, and Osiris. The Chikarmy sat in silence, wondering what had become of The Osirian Portal they had know and loved, and what the future would hold. The Osirian Portal have 1 Point!5) Tim Donst & Jakob Hammermeier vs The Batiri - Campeones De Parejas Fall #1: The first fall saw Jakob Hammermeier hold his own against the rotating onslaught of The Batiri for nearly thirteen minutes. Finally he was able to duck an Obariyon cross body block and crawl to his corner where he tagged the leg of his uninterested partner. Donst got in the ring and took it too both Obariyon and Kodama for several minutes before walking back over to tag Hammermeier back in. He found Jakob still laying exhaused on the apron and began to verbally berate him. Donst never saw Kodama come from behind, jump onto his shoulders, and decimate him with a reverse Frankensteiner. Kodama quickly covered for the 1,2,3. Fall #2: When Donst finally got to his feet, he grabbed Jakob Hammermeier by the hair and drug him into the ring over the top rope. Donst yelled at Jakob that it was his fault they lost the fall. Jakob got to his feet, and Donst slapped him hard across the face. Jakob turned away as the members of the Chikarmy in the audience began to chant "Hit Him Back." Donst went to Jakob and stuck his chin out daring him to hit him, but Jakob just turned away and sulked toward the ropes. Donst turned to the audience and yelled that Jakob was the reason the BDK was dead, and that Claudio, Ares, and Tursas left because they hated Jakob. Jakob froze, and turned toward Donst. Visibly shaking he walked across the ring and yelled "THAT'S NOT TRUE." Donst smirked at him and slowly nodded his head... Then Jakob Hammermeier drew back and knocked Tim Donst out with a single punch!!!! Jakob left the ring to the loudest "Jakob" chant you could imagine. In the ring, Obariyon and Kodama shrugged at one another and Obariyon covered Tim Donst. One, Two, Three. THE BATIRI ARE THE NEW CAMPEONATOS DE PAREJAS!!6) Jigsaw vs Ultramantis Black - Chikara Grand Championship Dueling Ultramantis and Jigsaw chants before the match could even begin. The two shook hands to start, and then locked up. Mantis took control with a Mongolian chop, and then snapmared Jig over and worked a rear chinlock. Jig countered out and went to work with a series of arm holds. The first ten minutes of the match went back and forth in this manner, with each man assuming control multiple times before countering the other. At around the fourteen minute mark, Jigsaw fired off the first really hard hitting offense when he drilled Mantis with a superkick that sent him to the floor. Mantis managed to make it back in at the count of twelve. Jigsaw maintained control for several minutes, but at the twenty minute mark Mantis shocked him and the crowd in attendance by hitting Cosmic Doom out of nowhere. An exhausted Mantis took several seconds to cover, and only got a count of two. Both men were slow to get back to their feet, but once they were, the match continued on. At the twenty four minute mark, Jig hoisted Ultramantis up for the Brainbuster, but Mantis kicked his feet, shifted his weight, and rolled Jigsaw up into a small package. Referee Bryce Remsburg counted One, Two, Thr....NO! Jigsaw kicked out at the last possible second, and Mantis couldn't believe it. Mantis got to his feet first and nailed Jigsaw with a series of kicks to the midsection as soon as he got up. Mantis then hooked both of his arms and prepared to deliver the Praying Mantis Bomb. Mantis hoisted Jigsaw up, but Jigsaw was able to bring his foot down and kick Ultramantis in the head, causing Mantis to sit him back down. Jig pulled his arms free and attempted to hook Ultramantis for the Jig 'N' Tonic, but Mantis had apparently studied the match with Delirious from "The God Gambit" and knew exactly what Jigsaw was planning, so he quickly backed away and kicked Jigsaw directly in the head. Jigsaw staggered backwards, and Ultramantis ran him over with a lariat. Ultramantis drug Jigsaw to his feet and called for Cosmic Doom. Mantis got him up, but Jigsaw managed to push off his shoulders and land behind him. Ultramantis turned around and was blasted with a superkick that sent him backwards into the ropes, his momentum brought him back off of the ropes and directly into the arms of Jigsaw who quickly lifted him up for the brainbuster, but Ultramantis shifted his weight and landed behind Jigsaw. Jigsaw turned around and Ultramantis connected with another Mongolian Chop. Jigsaw took a few backward steps off the blow, and fired off another superkick that put Ultramantis down to one knee. Jigsaw used the last of his strength and fired another superkick directly into the side of the head of the kneeling Ultramantis. Jigsaw then collapsed on top of him for the pin. Bryce Remsburg counted One, Two, Three! JIGSAW RETAINS THE CHIKARA GRAND CHAMPIONSHIP!Grand Champion - Jigsaw def. Colt Cabana ("Anniversario: The Ogg and I") def. I really like that name Enter the Nightbird and it was a fun show and it was cool seeing Green Ant win the Countdown Show and it's cool seeing Jigsaw with the victory and retaining the gold...

I am really happy with the way the title reign of Jigsaw is going. In my early shows the Grand Championship got hot shotted and I absolutely hated it. I am very happy for his lengthy reign. I was also happy to see Green Ant pull out the Showdown, because man the dice have been hard on The Colony this season.
As for the "Enter The Nightbird" moniker, I'd like to say I came up with it, but I didn't. All of this season's show names come from the same place, and it has a lot to do with the Chikara logo I am using!
Thanks for reading man, appreciate it.
Oh, what do you think of the new Portal?

High Noon. At High Noon, I stood in the ring a broken man. At High Noon, I announced that my body was destroyed, and that I could not compete in Chikara any longer. At High Noon, my partner, accomplice, and friend Ophidian finished the job, destroying the body, and stealing my identity, reducing me to nothing. I deserved it. I deserved it, because I had failed Osiris. I had failed Isis, I had failed Anubis. I had allowed the marvels of the modern world to corrupt me. I had attempted to convert a commoner, Hieracon, into the realm of Osiris. I had allowed myself to become a dancing fool, instead of an instrument of my deity, seeking glory in their name. I had lost sight of my purpose and it was for this reason, that my gods abandoned me, and allowed my body to be destroyed by an instrument of the modern world. It was for this reason that they called out to Ophidian that he should strip me of all I had, and reduce me to nothing, as punishment for my transgressions. That he should destroy the false idol that was Hieracon, and that he should cast aside the dancing and other stupidities that caused the commoners to cheer for us. That he should return to the cause, of gaining glory in the name of Osiris. While Ophidian dominated here in Chikara, I was nothing. A broken man stuck in a world that was not his, with no cause, with no mission, with no purpose. I cried for myself, I pitied myself, I forced myself to believe that the fault lay with others, and never with me. I sunk and sunk, and plummeted to lows that no man should know. Finally, I had what they call a moment of clarity. I realized that all of the things that had befallen me were of my own making. That my lot in life was because of my indiscretions, my ignorance, my stupidity. That I had been abandoned to this world because of my own arrogance. Then I called out to Isis. I called out to Osiris, I pleaded for forgiveness, I begged for a chance to show them that I understood. I told them that I knew now that I was a vessel of their will, destined to achieve greatness in their name. Days, then weeks, then months went by. Every day I called to them, every day I pledged my allegiance to them. Every day I offered all that I was to their greatness. That was when Anubis came to me, and brought me back from the land of the dead. It was Isis who healed my broken body, and mended my broken spirit. Then it was Osiris himself who completed my rebirth, transforming me into the Madjai and sending me out to do his bidding. When I returned to Chikara, when I touched Ophidian, the knowledge of my transformation, of my return, of our destiny was given to him. The Osirian Portal has returned, but it will be unlike The Osirian Portal you once knew. There will be no more dancing. There will be no more silliness. There will only be sacrifices to the gods we serve. Our destruction of the beings known as Parker and Matthews was just the first step in a much greater plan. For you see, Chikara has unknowingly accelerated our destiny, by placing us in their Tag World Grand Prix. They are giving us the opportunity to do in one day, what would have otherwise taken us weeks or months to accomplish. We will be able to destroy all of the competition in a single strike. We will be able to acquire all of the points we need to give us our shot, and then we will destroy whichever unfortunate souls are holding the Campeones De Parejas. Then we will offer those golden trinkets as a sacrifice to the gods we serve. To the glory of their names. To Anubis. To Isis. To Osiris.

-Chikara Presents- -The 5th Show of Season 12- -Tag World Grand Prix: The Key to Vector Sigma Part 1- The show opens with Gavin Loudspeaker and Bryce Remsburg in the ring. Gavin thanks everyone for coming and then makes the announcement that Jay and Mark Briscoe have quit Chikara. He apologizes, then announced that per Chikara tradition, their replacements would be drawn from a hat! Bryce holds up the hat, and Gavin starts to reach into it, when the music of Eddie Kingston plays, and "The War King" heads to the ring. He grabs the microphone from Gavin and begins..."Every time Chikara has one of these tag team or trios things, Eddie Kingston gets left out. I'm sick of it, like I am sick of a lot of things that are happening around here. Tonight, it changes, tonight I will be the one drawing names out of that stupid hat." Kingston reaches into the hat as Bryce and Gavin look confusedly at one another. Kingston pulls out a slip of paper and speaks again.."The first member of the team that will replace The Briscoe's and face The Young Bucks is.......HOMICIDE!!" The music of Homicide blares into the arena as "The Notorious 187" emerges from the back and makes his way toward the ring. Kingston again starts digging around in the hat, pulls out another piece of paper, doesn't bother to look at it, and announces the partner of Homicide..."and his partnah, "The War King" Eddie Kingston!!" Kingston and Homicide each fake a look of surprise, then shake hands."Send The Young Bucks out here to die." Kingston tosses the microphone back to Gavin Loudspeaker, as he and Homicide move to a neutral corner.1) The Young Bucks vs Eddie Kingston & Homicide Eddie Kingston jumped on Matt Jackson as soon as the bell rang and tosses his much smaller opponent all over the ring. Matt attempted multiple times to get some offense going, but each time Eddie would counter whatever it was with a stiff chop or forearm. Kingston scored a count of two off a nasty back suplex, and nearly got the win after connecting with the Backfist to the Future, but Nick was able to break things up and roll his partner out of the ring. Nick fared better against Kingston, using his speed to confound the larger opponent, and keep him away from his partner. Nick would connect with a picture perfect 450 Splash, but Kingston would get his foot on the rope at the last possible second. Later in the contest, after Matt had recovered The Young Bucks managed to connect with More Bang for Your Buck on Kingston, but Homicide was quick to come into the ring, break up the pin and toss Matt hard over the top rope to the floor. Homicide would go to work on Nick Jackson, wearing him down with a series of holds, and then nearly taking him out of his boots with a lariat. The Cop Killer followed, and Eddie Kingston was across the ring in a flash knocking Matt to the floor, and Homicide covered for the One, Two, Three. Eddie Kingston & Homicide advance to Round 2 of Tag World Grand Prix!2) The Unbreakable Machines vs The Spectral Envoy Coming into this match, I don't think anyone expected what they were about to get. Twenty five minutes of bell to bell to action with so many numerous two counts that the crowd was on their feet and chanting "Match of the Year" at the fifteen minute mark. Elgin and Frightmare started it out, and the big man took advantage early, tossing the smaller Frightmare around like a ping pong ball. Eventually Frightmare used his speed advantage to confound Elgin and after a particularly brutal flying knee strike from the top rope, connected with Kneecolepsy for the two and a half count. Frightmare tagged and Elgin rolled out, leading to the war between Hallowicked and Brian Cage that dominated the second half of the match. Cage connected with the Total Eclipse early, but Wicked kicked out at two. This lead to Hallowicked fighting from underneath for several minutes. Eventually a HUGE Rydeen Bomb would get him a two count. What followed was Brian Cage proving how tough he is to the East Coast fans who may have never seen him. He kicked out of the Graveyard Smash.....twice. He kicked out of Go 2 Sleepy Hollow...at one! He then managed to get his foot on the rope after taking the Headless Horseman. Not only that, but after a tired Wicked tagged out to Frightmare, Cage got to his feet and turned Frightmare a 360 with a discus clothesline. He then crawled hand over hand and tagged Elgin. Frightmare tagged Wicked back in, and Elgin went to work on "The Nightmare Warrior." Elgin's beatdown of several minutes ended with him obliterating Hallowicked with the Spinning Sit Out Powerbomb for the One, Two, Thr....NO FRIGHTMARE JUST KICKED HIM RIGHT IN THE FACE!!!! Elgin was first to his feet and pulled Hallowicked up by the mask, but was captured in a small package for the two count. A running Yakuza kick from Hallowicked nearly took Elgin's face off, and Go 2 Sleepy Hollow followed. Hallowicked covered for 1, 2, NO!!! Frightmare was in the ring in a flash, knocking Brian Cage off the apron with a running dropkick. The Headless Horseman on Elgin followed, and Hallowicked covered him, while Frightmare hit a huge pescado on Cage. One, Two, Thr...NO!!!! ELGIN KICKED OUT. A frustrated Hallowicked pounded on the mat, then pulled the massive Elgin to his feet. Wicked fired Elgin into the ropes, and Elgin rebounded with a MASSIVE lariat, that sent Hallowicked hard to the canvas and rolling out of the ring. Elgin turned only to have Frightmare leap off the top rope and attempt a hurancanrana, but Elgin caught him and hoisted him up for a powerbomb. Frightmare shifted his weight, and rolled Elgin over for a small package, but Elgin was too much for Frightmare to get all the way over. Elgin attempted to drop all of his weight, butt first on Frightmare, but the little man was out of the way and Elgin impacted hard on his tailbone. A kick to the face from Frightmare layed him flat on his back. Kneecolepsy followed, and Frightmare covered for the One, Two, Three. Hallowicked & Frightmare advance to Round 2 of Tag World Grand Prix"Match of the Year" chants ring across the arena as all four men meet in the center of the ring. Elgin and Cage look angry and dejected that they lost, but extend their hands to the Envoy members. Hallowicked and Frightmare shake their hands. The Machines raise the arms of their opponents into the air as the crowd in attendance goes insane. 3) The Throwbacks vs FIST The last time these two teams met, FIST cheated to secure the win. They tried underhanded tactics to begin the match, attempting to jump Sugar and Dasher as the bell rang, but The Throwbacks were ready. Sugar back dropped Gargano over the top rope to the floor, as Dasher caught Taylor with a double fisted baseball swing to the gut. Dasher followed it up by nailing him with a baseball pitch uppercut. Sugar grabbed Taylor as Dasher ascended the turnbuckle. GRAND SLAM DUNK!! One, Two, Thr....NO, GARGANO BREAKS IT UP!! Gargano and Sugar stayed in the ring as Dasher went to the apron, and Taylor lay not moving on the floor. Dunkerton was on tonight, countering abd blocking everything that Gargano sent his way. Two consecutive lariats put Gargano down, and Dasher climbed the turnbuckles. GRAND SLAM DUNK!! Dasher covered Gargano, as Sugar watched Taylor attempt to get to his feet on the floor. One, Two, Three!! Dominant performance by The Throwbacks!! Dasher Hatfield & Sugar Dunkerton advance to Round 2 of Tag World Grand Prix4) Da Soul Touchaz vs 3.0 Matthews and Acid Jazz to start, and Matthews uses his size to wear the smaller Jazz down. Quick tags between 3.0 keep Jazz in their corner and worn down. Eventually, Jazz would counter a Parker clothesline with a forward roll and tag out to Marshe Rockett. Rockett blistered both members of 3.0 with chops, and went to work on Parker who ended up in the ring. The match would make it to the thirteen minute mark, where Shane Matthews caught Acid Jazz in the BOSTON CRAB, but was met with a vicious Marshe Rockett super kick that sent Matthews out of the ring. Parker entered and went at Rockett with a series of forearms. Parker would turn around only to get caught with the Swiss Mist of Acid Jaz, while referee Dan Yost was busy checking on Matthews. Rockett would connect with the M-80 on a blinded Parker and cover him for the 1,2,3. Marshe Rockett & Acid Jazz advance to Round 2 of Tag World Grand PrixIntermission followed during which Leonard F. Chikarason announced that at the upcoming Anniversario weekend, 2 Cold Scorpio would be making his Chikara debut!5) The Osirian Portal vs The RockNES Monsters The RockNES Monsters stood almost no chance here as the new, ruthless Portal came for blood. A Pearl Harbor started things off on the wrong foot for the Monsters. Yuma eating the Egyptian Conniption in the opening minutes did him no favors either. He did manage to roll out of the ring, bringing in Goodtime who got the Monsters sole offense of the match, blistering Amasis with punches. Ophidian was quick to enter, and decimated Goodtime with a brutal kick to the back of the head. The Egyptian Destroyer followed, and then Ophidian unnecessarily locked on the Death Grip for the victory. The Chikarmy looked on in shock as the Portal headed for the locker room, leaving there opponents a broken mess in the ring. Amasis & Ophidian advance to Round 2 of Tag World Grand Prix6) The Colony vs Gran Akuma & ACH Fire Ant and Gran Akuma started the match exchanging kicks and forearm strikes. The early part of the match featured frequent tags from both teams. Akuma took a major beating in the middle of the match, kicking out of the Beach Break, a TKO, and Ants Go Marching. ACH finally managed to tag himself in, and used his aerial arsenal to fly circles around Soldier Ant, nearly pinning him after hitting the Big Bang Attack. Fire Ant made the save and sent ACH to the floor. Akuma came back in and kicked Fire Ant in the back of the head, sending him to the floor after ACH. Soldier Ant entered and proceeded to have a brutal back and forth exchange of forearm strikes with Akuma that left the crowd in attendance on their feet and going crazy. The end finally came at the twenty two minute mark, just after ACH hit a crossbody that sent him and Fire Ant both over the top rope to the floor. Soldier and Akuma went at it again, and this time Akuma leveled Soldier with a nasty kick to the head. Akuma scaled the ropes, and just as he came off, Soldier popped to his feet and hit a TKO'esque cutter move on the flying Akuma. Soldier covered him for the One, Two, Three, as Fire Ant stopped ACH from breaking it up. The losing streak of The Colony is over!!! Fire Ant & Soldier Ant advance to Round 2 of Tag World Grand PrixAll four men exchanged hand shakes in the center of the ring after the match ended. 7) El Fantástico y Hermoso vs Los Ice Creams Los Ice Creams came prepared, doing their best impression of The Midnight Express, absolutely decimating Nick Madrid with high impact moves and frequent tags for the opening seven or eight minute of the match. Madrid seemed to be constantly crawling toward his corner, trying to tag in Rosas, but each time the Ice Cream's cut him off, usually with a laugh and a "Viva Los Ice Creams" shout. Finally, at the ten minute mark, Madrid tagged in Rosas who came in like a house of fire, connecting with both the Ego Trip and Adios Amigo on Ice Cream Jr, but Hijo was able to break up the pin. Hijo and Rosas exchanged holds and reversals for several minutes, and Rosas seemed to be getting the best of the encounters. However, he took a single second to gloat, and that was all it took for El Hijo Del Ice Cream to go, Kick, Wham, COLD STONE STUNNER!!!! One, Two, Three!! El Hijo Del Ice Cream & Ice Cream Jr. advance to Round 2 of Tag World Grand Prix8) Mike Quackenbush and The Shard vs Paul Londong and Brian Kendrick Huge ovation for London and Kendrick, but The shard didn't care in the least, going at London in the opening minutes with ferocity. Shard dominated both of his more experienced opponents for several minutes. A big turning point in the match came when London was finally able to gain control against The Shard and scaled the top ropes for a flying crossbody. London sailed from the top and crash perfectly into Shard, unfortunately referee Bryce Remsburg was too close to the action and got wiped out. Kendrick was quick to take advantage and enter the ring, but Quack was having none of that and entered himself. All four men brawled a bit, and Shard was able to absolutely blister Kendrick with a Shard Super Kick that sent him out of the ropes and hard to the floor. London nailed Quack with a Dropsault that sent him to the floor. Shard and London continued their war. The action continued this way, hot and heavy and the match reached the thirty minute mark. The end finally came when London nailed Quack with a Shooting Star Press. Instead of covering he got to his feet and launched himself across the ring at The Shard, knocking him from the apron. He then nailed a beautiful pescado on the masked man. Meanwhile Kendrick came into the ring, pulled Quack to his feet and connected with Sliced Bread #2. -Chikara Presents- -The 6th Show of Season 12- -Tag World Grand Prix: The Key to Vector Sigma Part 2- 1) Eddie Kingston & Homicide vs The Spectral Envoy Kingston and Frightmare were the fist competitors in the ring, and Kingston took the opening moments of the match to mock Frightmare's diminutive stature. Frightmare responded with a dropkick to the knee that chopped Kingston down to the same size as Frightmare, who then kicked him in the head. Frightmare covered, and nearly got the three count on the shocked Kingston who kicked out at two and nine tenths. Frightmare continued to use his speed to dazzle Kingston with a series of dropkicks, kicks to the legs, and springboard moves to knock him down. Frightmare's run on offense came when Kingston blocked an armdrag, and blasted Frightmare with a lariat. A tag brought Homicide in, and he went to work on Frightmare for much of the middle portion of the match. Frightmare was eventually able to tag Hallowicked, and from that point, we saw frequent tags from both teams. A Rydeen Bomb almost spelled the end for Kingston, but Homicide broke up the pin. A few minutes later, Hallowicked ducked a Backfist from the Future, scooped up Homicide and drilled him with the Go 2 Sleepy Hollow. Kingston came in the ring, but Hallowicked ducked his clothesline, then blasted him with a Yakuza kick that sent him to the floor. Frightmare entered, and the Headless Horseman on Homicide put him down for the One, Two, Three!! Hallowicked & Frightmare advance to the Semi-Finals of Tag World Grand Prix.2) The Throwbacks vs Da Soul Touchaz This one began as most professional wrestling matches do, with a dance off between Sugar Dunkerton and Acid Jaz. Marshe Rockett then joined in and showed his moves, only for Dasher Hatfield to step into the center of the ring, and do the Charleston. He was then unanimously voted the winner by the crowd in attendance. The match began with Sugar and Acid Jaz, and it looked as though the Throwbacks were going to make quick work of things when Dunkerton connected with Air Dunkerton in the third minute of the match. Rockett made the save, and rolled Acid Jaz out of the ring. Rockett blistered Sugar with a series of chops, and connected with the M-80 before Dunkerton knew what was happening. Dasher made the save from that, and then he and Rockett exchanged chops and forearms in the center of the ring. The match continued on past the twelve minute mark, and Rockett missed a cross body block that sent him hard to the canvas and he rolled to the floor. Dasher saw his oppurtunity and blasted him with a huge baseball slide, leaving Jaz and Dunkerton as your legal men. After several back and forth minutes, Acid Jaz attempted to use the Swiss Mist again, but just as he was about to expel it from his mouth, Sugar nailed him with Kiss My Converse! The impact of the kick sent Jaz turning in a circle, the Mist spewing from his mouth, and he accidentally blinded his own partner Marshe Rockett!! Dunkerton rolled Jaz up in a school boy, and got the One, Two, Three as Rockett tried to clear the chocolatey mess from his eyes!! Dasher Hatfield & Sugar Dunkerton advance to the Semi-Finals of Tag World Grand Prix.3) The Osirian Portal vs The Colony Ophidian and Amasis tried to jump The Colony as the bell rang, but Fire and Soldier Ant saw it coming and the match immediately broke into a pier six brawl. Both teams fought onto the floor and battled around the ringside area as referee Dan Yost applied the twenty count. Finally when he emphatically yelled out EIGHTEEN, all four men went back in the ring. Ophidian and Fire Ant started things out and it was a battle of speed, with both men countering each others kick attempts with rolls and somersaults. Tags to Amasis and Soldier Ant led to a battle of strikes that left both men leaning on one another in the center of the ring, exchanging strikes whenever they could gather the energy. The match continued with frequent tags between both teams, and neither seemed to really gain an edge. The end finally came just short of the twenty minute mark, as Soldier Ant smashed Ophidian with a Saluting Roaring Elbow that sent "The Osirian Assassin" falling out of the ring. Amasis was quickly in from behind and planted Soldier Ant with the Egyptian Conniption. He went for the cover, but Fire Ant broke it up with a huge kick. Fire Ant then noticed Ophidian was back to his feet and hit an amazing no handed plancha over the top rope that wiped both of them out. Soldier and Amasis got back to their feet at about the same time, and once again exchanged forearm smashes. After about a half dozen each, Soldier Ant ducked one from Amasis and scooped him up for the TKO. Amasis kicked and wriggled and managed to slip out the backside, landing on his knees. In an instant he ended the match by lifting a stiff arm hard into the groin of Soldier Ant, doubling him over, and forcing referee Dan Yost to call for the Disqualification. Fire Ant & Soldier Ant advance to the Semi-Finals of Tag World Grand Prix. The Portal looked intent to cause more harm to The Colony, but fortunately a group of referees and trainees were able to hit the ring before they could. Ophidian and Amasis left to the boos of the Chikarmy. 4) Paul London & Brian Kendrick vs Los Ice Creams An interesting beginning to this one as Brian Kendrick tried to bite Ice Cream Junior, claiming he had the munchies. After being threatened with a disqualification by referee Jon Barber, he curbed his appetite and instead went to work on his opponent. Kendrick used his years of experience to keep the much larger Ice Cream Jr. on the mat. Quick tags between London and Kendrick, and a mix of speed and technical prowess continued keeping Ice Cream Junior unable to get any offense. Finally after a long five minutes of being dominated, Junior managed to connect with a big kick to the head of London, and scurry over to tag his partner. El Hijo Del Ice Cream sauntered cockily into the ring and let out a "VIVA LOS ICE CREAMS" before locking up with Paul London. Hijo maneuvered into a side headlock, and then proceeded to pinch the fanny of Paul London. An unhappy London tagged to Kendrick, who got in an impressive three moves of his own, before Hijo managed to get him with a pinch to the posterior as well. Hijo again slapped at his chest and loosed a "VIVA LOS ICE CREAMS" only to turn around and be met with a double superkick. Junior entered the ring, and he too was smacked right in the chops with a double superkick. Kendrick grabbed the teetering Ice Cream Junior and nailed him with the Sliced Bread #2. Meanwhile, Paul London scaled the ropes and hit a picture perfect Shooting Star Press on Hijo Del Ice Cream. A double pin followed, and Barber counted One, Two, Three. Paul London & Brian Kendrick advance to the Semi-Finals of Tag World Grand PrixLeonard F. Chikarason joined us in the ring at intermission and announced the main events for both nights of Anniversario weekend. On night one, at Anniversario: Divide and Conquer, Green Ant will take on the winner of the match between Jigsaw and Kota Ibushi this evening for the Chikara Grand Championship. Then on the second night at Anniversario: Fire in the Sky, Obariyon and Kodama of The Batiri will defend the Campeones De Parejas against the winners of the Tag World Grand Prix!5) The Spectral Envoy vs The Throwbacks Frightmare and Dasher Hatfield were in to start things, and Frightmare struck quickly dropping Hatfield with a Frightensteiner in the opening minutes of the match and scoring a very close fall off of it. Hallowicked came in and slowed things down, going to work on the arm of Dasher. Hatfield managed to escape numerous submission attempts by reaching the ropes, but each time Wicked was able to stop him from getting the tag. Frightmare came back in and connected with several kicks, armdrags and finally Kneecolepsy on Dasher. He covered for the One, Two, Thr...NO, Sugar Dunkerton breaks it up. Referee Dan Yost ordered Dasher out of the ring, and Frightmare went back to work. Several more minutes of Dasher on the defense finally ended when Frightmare went for a crucifix bomb, but Dasher muscled him onto his shoulders and connected with the Suicide Squeeze. Dasher began to crawl hand over hand toward Sugar, and Frightmare rolled for the floor. Hallowicked was in the ring as soon as Frightmare cleared the ropes, but Dasher jumped the last foot or so and tagged the outstretched hand of Dunkerton. Sugar came in like a man possessed and fired off a series of punches that left Hallowicked reeling, then dropped him with a big clothesline. Sugar drug Wicked back to his feet and whipped him into the ropes, Wicked ducked a clothesline from Sugar and then rocked him with a huge Yakuza kick that sent Sugar staggering back into the ropes. Frightmare reappeared in the ring and launched himself at Dunkerton with a crossbody that sent them both arms and legs flailing to the floor. Wicked went to the corner and pulled Dasher Hatfield back into the ring. Dasher, still exhausted from the damage he took earlier stood very little chance, but did manage to kick out of a huge Rydeen bomb. However, Go 2 Sleepy Hollow connected soon after, and Hatfield had nothing left. One, Two, Sugar Dunkerton attempted to break up the pin, but Frightmare held onto his leg like his life depended on it....Three. Hallowicked & Frightmare advance to the Finals of Tag World Grand Prix6) The Colony vs Paul London & Brian Kendrick Soldier Ant and Paul London were the first two men in the ring. They met in the center and shook hands much to the delight of the Chikarmy in attendance. Soldier Ant then saluted London, who responded by nailing him with a Dropsault, much to the dismay of the Chikarmy in attendance. London was all over Soldier Ant, peppering him with kicks, body slams, and elbow drops to his prone form. Soldier Ant climbed to his feet after the assault, and was nailed with a picture perfect enzuigiri that sent him collapsing to the mat. London covered for the One, Two, Thr.....NO!! Soldier Ant kicked out!! London tagged out to Kendrick who came in the ring and channeled THE Brian Kendrick with a cocky little dance, and a kick to the head of Soldier Ant who was trying to get back to his feet. Unfortunately for Kendrick, it did nothing more than fire Soldier Ant up. A series of forearm strikes by a visibly shaking with rage Soldier Ant left Kendrick staggering on his feet, and a roaring forearm put him down. Soldier staggered over and tagged out to Fire Ant who hit the ring like an Ant Possessed! He scooped up Kendrick and planted him with the Beach Break. He went for the cover, but London came in and broke it up, only to be blasted in the face with a Fire Ant leaping kick. Fire Ant grabbed Kendrick again, and planted him with yet another Beach Break and went for the cover. At the last possible second, London broke it up. Soldier Ant came back in the ring and blasted London with a forearm that sent him staggering backwards where he landed seated in the corner. The Colony wasted no time and obliterated Paul London with Ants Go Marching. They turned around and saw Kendrick attempting to crawl out of the ring and nailed him with a modified version of Ants Go Marching that sent him sailing out of the ring, where he landed hard on the concrete floor. Fire Ant turned his attention back to London, fired off another Beach Break for good measure, and covered London for the 1,2,3. Fire Ant & Soldier Ant advance to the Finals of Tag World Grand Prix.7) Jigsaw vs Kota Ibushi - Chikara Grand ChampionshipThe action in this one was almost too fast to call. They started with a handshake, then immediately broke into a series of duck downs and reversals, followed that up with an exchange of slaps to the face, blistered each other with kicks, and then finally both went down when they attempted simultaneous dropkicks. They got to their feet as the crowd went crazy. Ibushi was the first man to really gain firm control at around the seven minute mark, rocking Jigsaw with a flurry of kicks, and then planting him with a Frankensteiner. A running shooting star press impressed the fans in attendance, but only managed to score a two count. Ibushi exited the ring and went for a springboard dropkick, but Jigsaw ducked it and Ibushi splatted onto the canvas. Jigsaw then went the opposite direction and slowed the match way down, using a series of submission holds working on the midsection of Ibushi. Ibushi refused to tap out and made the ropes on multiple submission attempts. He finally bailed out of the ring to get a hold of himself. Jigsaw made the mistake of getting frustrated and following him out, which allowed Ibushi to get back into the ring first and then drop a knee on Jigsaw as he tried to re-enter the ring. Ibushi and Jigsaw would trade control several times over the next fifteen minutes. The match finally came to an end at the twenty six minute mark. Ibushi blasted Jigsaw with the Golden Combo which left the champion laying. Ibushi scaled the turnbuckles with some difficulty due to the toll the submissions of Jigsaw had taken. With a deep breathe to regain his composure, he then went for the Phoenix Splash, only to come crashing hard onto the canvas, as Jigsaw rolled out of the way at the last possible second. Ibushi was writhing in pain and clutching his midsection on the mat, and Jigsaw took the advantage by double stomping Kota not once but twice, right in the gut. Jigsaw went to pick Ibushi up, likely for the Jig 'N' Tonic, but thought better of it, allowing Ibushi to fall back to the mat. Jigsaw then applied the Regal Stretch, twisting the injured midsection of Ibushi, who tried desperately to reach the ropes, but the pain got the better of him, and he tapped out. Jigsaw retains the Chikara Grand Championship! After the match, Jigsaw helped Ibushi to his feet and shook his hand. Kota responded by raising the hand of the Grand Champion into the air. 8) The Spectral Envoy vs The Colony - Tag World Grand Prix FinalsBoth teams were exhausted coming into this, the final match of the Tag World Grand Prix. Would Hallowicked and Frightmare of the Spectral Envoy get another opportunity at the Campeones De Parejas that has alluded them on more than one occasion. Titles that are currently held by the enemies of the Envoy known as The Batiri, or would The Colony become the first team to repeat as Tag World Grand Prix winners, just as they became the first repeat King of Trios winners last year. Would the streak of bad luck that had plagued them in the first shows of this season finally come to an end, and allow them to join Green Ant in competing for the top titles of Chikara at Anniverario. The time for those questions to be answered is now. After all four men shook hands with one another, Fire Ant and Hallowicked started us off. Wicked tried to end it right away with a Yakuza kick, but Fire Ant ducked it with a forward roll and connected with a jumping kick of his own. Hallowicked staggered backwards, and Fire Ant went for a headscissors, but they were too close to the ropes and both men spilled to the floor. Soldier Ant and Frightmare hit the ring running. Soldier went for a clothesline, but Frightmare ducked under it and came off the ropes on the other side. Soldier Ant attempted a roaring a forearm, but again Frightmare ducked it. This time he put on the breaks, and attempted some scare tactics on Soldier Ant. Frightmare immediately paid for it, as Soldier Ant blasted him in the face with a huge forearm strike. Soldier Ant scooped him up and went for the TKO, but Frightmare shifted his weight and connected with a crucifix bomb, he held on and Bryce Remsburg counted the One, Two, NOOO!! Soldier Ant kicks out. Soldier rolls to the floor, and Fire Ant is back in, connecting on an arm drag that tosses the smaller Frightmare across the ring. Frightmare is quick to slide out, and Hallowicked blasts Fire Ant with a clothesline to the back of the head. Hallowicked hoists Fire Ant back up, and plants him with the Rydeen bomb, but somehow Fire Ant manages to kick out at one. A frustrated Hallowicked jerks Fire Ant back up to his feet, and attempts to move him into position for Go 2 Sleepy Hollow, but Fire Ant shifts his weight and sunset flips Hallowicked for a count of two. Both men are back to their feet rather quickly, and Fire Ant throws a kick which Hallowicked catches. Hallowicked spins Fire Ant around and nails him with an atomic drop. Fire Ant staggers toward the ropes, and again Hallowicked goes for a Yakuza Kick, but Fire Ant drops down, causing Hallowicked to crotch himself on the ropes. A leaping kick from "The Hot Property" sends Hallowicked out to the floor. Fire Ant grabs the ropes and flips himself out onto Hallowicked. Soldier and Frightmare enter the ring, and this time Frightmare goes straight for Soldier, connecting with a big dropkick that sends Soldier Ant down to the canvas. Frightmare immediately tries for Kneecolepsy, but Soldier Ant rolls out of the way causing Frightmare to crash hard onto his knees. Soldier Ant attempts to lock in the Chikara Special, but before he can hook it, Frightmare rolls him up for the count of two. Soldier Ant is quickly to his feet and dropkicks Frightmare in the knee, sending him back to the canvas. A saluting headbutt follows, and Soldier Ant tries a pin of his own, but only gets two. Soldier whips Frightmare into the ropes, but Frightmare fires off a frankensteiner on the rebound that sends Soldier down. Frightmare waits for Soldier to get back to his feet and snaps off a Frightensteiner that sends Soldier Ant crashing onto the top of his head. Hallowicked slides back into the ring, picks Soldier Ant up and lifts him onto his shoulders. He yells for Frightmare to scale the ropes, so they can connect with the Headless Horseman, but by the time Frightmare reaches the top, Fire Ant comes across the ring like a Casa En Fuego, and blasts Frightmare with a huge kick that sends him off the top turnbuckle, hard onto the apron, and then to the floor. Hallowicked becomes the legal man, as Soldier Ant regains his senses and rolls Hallowicked forward into a victory roll. Hallowicked kicks frantically, but Soldier Ant holds on with all he has as Bryce counts the One, Two, Three. THE COLONY OF SOLDIER ANT AND FIRE ANT ARE THE TAG WORLD GRAND PRIX CHAMPIONS!!!!!Green Ant is quickly out to the ring and raises the arms of his partners into the air. The fans in attendance are on their feet giving the winners a standing ovation. Hallowicked and Frightmare come back into the ring to shake the hands of the men who defeated them, and to also raise their hands. Leonard F. Chikarason comes to the ring and presents Fire and Soldier Ant with the Tag World Grand Prix trophy. As the Smart Mark Video feed comes to an end, the last thing we hear is Green Ant saying "At Anniversario, The Colony is bringing home all of the gold in Chikara."
