-CHIKARA PRESENTS-
-THE 16TH SHOW OF SEASON 11-
-THE BLOODY TOWER-
[/color]
The show opens with Director of Fun Wink Vavvaseur coming to the ring and taking the microphone. He explains that the opening match of the evening will be the ten man CZW vs RoH battle royal. He knows that many members of the Chikarmy have been wondering why this match is taking place, and he is hear to explain. At the upcoming show "The Zodiac Crimes" the winning promotion will be able to send it's five members to compete in a returning Chikara tradition, La Loteria Lethal! On that night 32 wrestlers will be randomly divided into 16 teams to have 8 tag team matches. The following night at "The Cibernetico Rises" the winning teams from La Loteria Lethal will be divided onto two opposing Cibernetico teams, and the winner of that match will go on to the season finale "The Greatest Mother of Them All" to challenge for the Chikara Grand Championship!
Gavin Loudspeaker then announces the ten men competing in the battle royal, noting that Eddie Edwards was unable to make it to the show, and has been replaced by "The Prodigy" Mike Bennett
1) CZW vs RoH Ten Man Over the Top Rope Battle Royal
Order of Elimination:
1) Rhett Titus by Blk Jeez
2) AR Fox by Michael Elgin
3) Roderick Strong by Masada
4) Drake Younger by Kevin Steen
5) Blk Jezz by Kevin Steen
6) Michael Elgin by Masada
7) Danny Havoc by Mike Bennett
8) Mike Bennett by Kevin Steen
9) Masada by Kevin Steen
The first five eliminations happened over the course of about eight minutes, then things really picked up at the end. When Masada tossed RoH powerhouse Michael Elgin from the ring, Kevin Steen went directly after him. The two respective champions brawled in the corner. Bennett used his size to get Danny Havoc most of the way out of the ring. Havoc struggled and stopped the elimination for some time, but eventually the size and strength of "The Prodigy" won out and Havoc was eliminated. On the other side of the ring, Masada stopped the onslaught of Kevin Steen with a vicious powerbomb. He then looked over to see Havoc get dumped, so he went after Bennett while his back was still turned. Masada had Bennett most of the way out of the ring when Steen recovered, and decided what the hell and dumped both of them out of the ring for the win.
Ring of Honor will send five representatives to La Loteria Lethal2) Tim Donst and Jakob Hammermeier vs 3.0 (Scott Parker and Shane Matthews)
The first thing of notice in this match was that Tim Donst looked completely disinterested in being there. Jakob tried his best to cheer his BFF Tim up, but Donst was apparently inconsolable.
Jakob started against Scott Parker and came out of the box cheating like a mad man, enough that he was quickly able to execute Guten Nacht, but Shane Matthews made the save. Parker rolled out, allowing Matthews to go to work on Jakob and Hammermeier received quite a beating. Any time that Jakob was able to get away, Tim looked dejected in the corner and wouldn't reach out for the tag. The one time Jakob tagged him in, Tim executed one move on Matthews and tagged Hammermeier back in. Eventually Jakob got caught in the Boston Crab, but managed to make the ropes. A few minutes later, he ate the 3.0 Lung Blower but somehow managed to drape his foot across the ropes. "Big Magic" hit Jakob with one of patented HEAD SCISSORS that had so much momentum that Jakob was thrown from the ring. Matthews then leveraged the top rope to launch Donst into the ring. Donst fired off a stiff forearm to the groin that doubled Matthews over and then drilled him with the SDT, Jakob pulled Jagged from the apron and Donst covered Matthews for the 1,2,3.
Tim Donst and Jakob Hammermeier have 1 Point.Jakob celebrated like he just won the Super Bowl as Tim looked like he would rather be anywhere else in the world.
3) Tursas vs Icarus
Donst and Jakob had not yet made their way out of the ringside area, mostly due to Donst walking around like he was in a haze, when Tursas emerged from behind the curtain. The former members of the BDK stood staring at one another for a tense moment, when Donst shoved Jakob into the giant Tursas. Tursas immediately landed a series of clubbing forearms on Hammermeier as Donst slipped around them and disappeared behind the curtain. Tursas eventually left Jakob laying in the entrance way and headed for the ring.
Icarus didn't fare much better than Jakob. He was strutting around the ring proclaiming himself the best in the world, before taunting the fans with whether or not he was going to remove his jacket. He was standing in the corner, facing the audience, teasing the jacket removal when Tursas squashed him in the corner with a huge avalanche. Tursas tore the jacket off much to the disdain of the crowd, but then obliterated Icarus with the Kreuz Bomb much to their delight. Tursas then took Icarus to the corner and attempted to chop off the tattoo by driving repeated open hand chops into the back of Icarus that echoed across the building. The "One More Time" chants were seemingly never ending, and nearly twenty brutal chops were delivered, before Tursas allowed Icarus to collapse to the mat, writhing in pain. Then Tursas scaled the turnbuckle and waited for Icarus to regain his footing before annihilating him with a Diving Crossbody that nearly smeared Icarus on the mat. Bryce Remsburg could have counted to a thousand, but three was all it took.
4) The Young Bucks vs Los Ice Creams
It is unlikely that anyone expected this match to turn out the way it did. What started as The Young Bucks being arrogant and taking the Ice Creams lightly, while the Ice Creams went about their usual shenanigans turned into a nearly thirty minute classic that left the fans in attendance loudly chanting "Match of the Year." The Bucks took control early and wore down the larger Ice Cream Junior for quite some time. He ate multiple superkicks, and both the moonsault and 450 from each of the Jacksons, but between timely help from his partner and some intestinal fortitude, he continued on. Eventually he was able to tag Hijo del Ice Cream who was dishing out Cold Stone Stunners like they were going out of style. The Bucks had to save one another on more than one occasion, but eventually they regained control and nailed Hijo del Ice Cream with More Bang for Your Buck, but Junior was able to make the save at the very last possible second. The match would continue back and forth until the twenty eighth minute where Junior nailed Matt with the Jack and Jill Hammer, causing him to roll to the floor. Nick came in and went for a superkick, but Junior ducked it, grabbed him, and Hijo delivered quite possibly the most brutal looking El Asesino in the history of ice cream.
Los Ice Creams have 1 PointAfter the match the Bucks and Ice Creams shook hands in the middle of the ring as the fans chanted "Match of the Year." Matt Jackson took the microphone and after everyone quieted down, asked Los Ice Creams if they would be willing to give them a rematch next month. Los Ice Creams quickly huddled and nodded their agreement. The Bucks thanked them and raised their hands in victory......before devastating each of them with a superkick! The Young Bucks left to the jeers of the Chikarmy, as Los Ice Creams lay recovering in the ring.
Intermission followed, during which it was announced that joining the five men from Ring of Honor as non-Chikara regulars in La Loteria Lethal would be "The Ripper" Paul Burchill and Brent Albright having gained spots due to their impressive showings at King of Trios.
5) The Spectral Envoy vs The Batiri and Delirious
Kobald was nowhere to be found after the events of last night, and Delirious wrestled the match in place of the little goblin. This one started hot and heavy with all six men brawling. Mantis and Delirious ended up on the floor exchanging punches as The Batiri and Incoherence were in the ring. A big boot from Hallowicked sent Obariyon to the floor, and he and Frightmare were able to connect with The Headless Horseman on Kodama for the One, Two, Thr....OBARIYON BARELY MAKES THE SAVE!!!! The wild match continues on for another fifteen minutes with every man getting in the ring with every other man. Frightmare took an unparalleled beating at the hands of Delirious that included Chemical Imbalance II, Shadows Over Heck, the Bizzaro Driver, and even a Praying Mantis Bomb. He managed to kick out or was saved by his partners from all of it, but was virtually lifeless on the floor for the last five or so minutes of the match. (He had 11 tokens) Mantis and Delirious continued to just decimate one another anytime they were in the ring with each other, and although their interaction was short the Delirious/Hallowicked tension was thick. The end came when Obariyon drilled Ultramantis Black with the Flying DDT, but Mantis managed to get his shoulder up at the last possible second. Obariyon tagged Kodama who connected with the Flying Blockbuster, not once but twice, before they were able to keep Ultramantis Black from kicking out. The Batiri left ringside to tend their wounds, as Hallowicked checked on both of his fallen partners. As he was helped from the ring Mantis could be heard saying that they may have won the battle, but the war is far from over.
6) Eddie Kingston vs Sami Callihan
Speaking of war, two of the hardest hitting men in Chikara had one. Callihan started the match by pie facing Kingston, which obviously didn't go well. An exchange of chops followed that left Kingston covered in welts, and Callihan bleeding from the chest. What followed was ten solid minutes of punches, chops, kicks, repeated drops on the head, and numerous near falls that had the Chikarmy on their feet. The end came at the thirteen minute mark when both men could hardly stand from the beating they had given one another. Kingston drilled Callihan with a Backdrop Driver that folded Sami in half, but somehow "The Death Machine" was almost immediately back to his feet. He spat at Kingston, and then ducked the Backfist to the Future attempt that followed and dumped Kingston onto his neck with a Saito Suplex. Kingston popped almost immediately back to his feet, shook his head, and then blasted Callihan with a lariat. The momentum sent Sami into the ropes and he came back with a lariat of his own. Kingston stumbled a bit, but then lit Sami up with another series of chops. When "The War King" ran out of steam, Callihan lashed out with a series of chops of his own. Kingston loaded up for another series of chops, but Callihan had enough and kicked Eddie in the gut before getting him in position for the Headlock Driver. As Sami went to go forward, Kingston shoved him into the ropes, and as Sami came off he was caught flush with the Backfist to the Future. Sami went down hard, and Kingston pretty much collapsed exhausted on top of him for the One, Two, Three.
After the match the two men stared one another down for a moment before shaking hands, and then embracing to the cheers of the crowd. Director of Fun Wink Vavvaseur came to the ring and announced that Eddie Kingston would challenge the winner of the Jigsaw/Chuck Taylor match at "Better Luck Next Time" the following night at "Death in Slow Motion" and the Chikara Grand Championship would be on the line.
7) The Briscoe Brothers vs FIST
Something strange began right off the bat in this one as the Chikara faithful were actually cheering for FIST. Taylor and Gargano took control early working over Mark Briscoe in their corner. Frequent tags and good tag team offense was the name of their game in the opening minutes. Eventually Mark would duck a Gargano superkick and lay him into him with a little Redneck Kung Fu, which allowed him to tag his brother Jay. The elder Briscoe came in like a man possessed and cleaning house of both Taylor and Gargano with hard chops, dropkicks, and a nasty big boot that sent Gargano to the floor. Taylor left alone in the ring was kicked in the gut and spiked with the Jay Driller but he managed to grab the bottom rope at the count of two. The Briscoes then worked together and planted Chuckie T. dead in the center of the ring with a Spike Jay Driller, but Gargano managed to break it up at the last possible second. Gargano turned the tide of the match back into the favor of FIST after drilling Jay in the mouth with a superkick then planting him head first into the canvas with the baby ace crusher. Momentum shifted back to Dem Boys a few minutes later when Jay was able to make the tag and Mark planted Gargano with a brutal suplex. Mark hit a still groggy Chuck Taylor with a picture perfect superkick that sent him flying from the apron into the guard rail. A double football tackle would take Gargano down, and then The Briscoe's secured their title shot with The Doomsday Device.
The Briscoe Brothers have 3 Points!!!After the match Jay Briscoe took the microphone much to the chagrin of the Chikara front office, but instead of going into one of the usual expletive filled promo's he is known for, simply stated that "Dem Boys will take their title shot at the season finale, until then were going back to Sandy Fork and doing some hunting."
8) Gekido vs QuackSaw and The Colony - Elimination Tag Team Match
Elimination #1: Fourteen minutes into the match and Mike Quackenbush had just gotten plowed with a Spike Piledriver from AssailANT and DeviANT, when 17 entered the match for the first time. He immediately grabbed Quack and spiked him into the mat with the Quackendriver III. The Swarm and The Shard stopped Jigsaw and The Colony from breaking up the pin, and Mike Quackenbush was the first man eliminated.
Elimination #2: At just around the twenty minute mark, Green Ant had been devastated by the Swarm Skull Kicks delivered by all three members of the trio. A DeviANT/AssailANT Spike Piledriver put him down, but the resilient Ant was able to kick out. Eventually AssailANT was able to lock on a crooked clover hold and try as he might, Green Ant could not reach the ropes and was forced to tap out.
Elimination #3: AssailANT was celebrating his victory over Green Ant, when Chikara Grand Champion Jigsaw entered the ring. He ran at AssailANT who bent over in an attempt to backdrop Jig, but Jig put on the brakes and downed AssailANT with a piledriver. Jig gave the Swarm member no time to recover, drilling him into the mat with the Jig 'N' Tonic and holding on for the One, Two, Three.
Elimination #4: Another ten minutes of furious action later finds Fire Ant and CombatANT in the ring. They have been going back and forth, but CombatANT just used a saluting headbutt which caused Soldier Ant to try and enter the ring. As Bryce Remsburg stopped him CombatANT nailed Fire Ant with a low blow and covered him. One, Two, Thr....KICK OUT!! An enraged CombatANT drug Fire Ant back to his feet and whipped him into the ropes. Fire Ant ducked the subsequent clothesline attempt and drilled CombatANT with a leaping kick that stunned the Swarm member. Fire Ant wasted no time in hooking him and drilling him with The Beach Break and getting the three count.
Elimination #5: 17 hit the ring and blasted Fire Ant with a shotei and followed it by locking him up in the Lightning Lock Beta. Eventually Fire Ant escaped, but another shotei sent him out of the ring and to the floor. Soldier Ant then wasted absolutely no time scaling the top rope and landing a gorgeous cross body block on the unprepared 17 for the One, Two, Three.
Elimination #6: The Shard hit the ring running, but Soldier Ant scooped him up on his shoulders and delivered the TKO in the center of the ring. Before DeviANT had time to react, the three count was made, and it was now three on one.
Elimination #7: DeviANT is in the ring and jumps Soldier Ant before The Colony member has time to recover. DeviANT lays a series of clubbing forearms into the back and neck of Soldier Ant, leaving Soldier in a heap on the mat. DeviANT drags Soldier to his feet, but instead of going in for the kill and trying to secure the elimination, he instead grabs the mask of Soldier Ant and tears it off of his head. Bryce immediately calls for the DQ.
Jigsaw, Fire Ant, and Soldier Ant have SurvivedFire Ant and Jigsaw hit the ring to help Bryce in covering up the face of their comrade, as DeviANT hightails it out onto the floor. Green Ant hits ringside almost immediately and launches himself at DeviANT and the two of them begin brawling on the floor. Before long the other four members of Gekido hit the ring and attack Jigsaw, Soldier Ant, and Fire Ant. Quack isn't too far behind to even up the odds, and all ten men are brawling in the ring and on the floor. Soon enough referees, officials, 3.0, and The Spectral Envoy head to the ring to help control the chaos, but the presence of the Envoy draws Delirious and The Batiri out of the back to attack them. This brings out Jay and Mark Briscoe who attack members of The Batiri and The Colony since they will eventually be wrestling one of those two teams for the belts. This bring another wave of help from the back including more officials, wrestle factory trainees, Eddie Kingston and Sami Callihan. It takes a few minutes for most of the officials, refs, and trainees to get tossed from the ring and most of wrestlers are now in the ring brawling with one another. Apparently fed up with the noise, the monstrous Tursas makes his way to the ring and begins tossing people to the floor left and right. 3.0, The Shard, Hallowicked and members of both The Swarm and The Colony are tossed by the giant, as most of the other people begin to clear from the ring, either brawling to the back or just trying to escape the carnage.
Eventually the only man left standing in the ring is Tursas, who exits the ring and walks over to the announce position where the Chikara Grand Championship that Jigsaw brought to ringside with him still sits. Tursas picks the belt up and cradles it in his large hands, before nodding his head and placing it back on the table. With that he lumbers back to the dressing room as the crowd digests all they have just seen.
