-CHIKARA PRESENTS-
-THE 21ST SHOW OF SEASON 11-
-THE SEASON 11 FINALE
-THE GREATEST MOTHER OF THEM ALL-
The show begins with Archibald Peck marching to the ring, and taking the microphone. He is outraged that after his triumphant return to the rings of Chikara, he has been left off of the Season Finale, and he demands that something be done about it. Director of Fun Wink Vavvaseur comes to the ring and offers Archie a spot in the match with Icarus and El Generico since Green Ant has sustained an injury in training and can not compete tonight. Archie is fast to accept, then Vavvaseur tells him that if he does not win, he will be forced to once again leave Chikara, and this time there will be no "he wasn't ready" clause. Archie is horrified, as the other competitors come to the ring.
1) El Generico vs Icarus vs Archibald Peck
Things start quickly when Icarus sneak attacks Archie just as the bell rings. Icarus connects with a dropkick, then drops Archie with a guillotine over the ropes. The Wings of Icarus follows and the cover for the One, Two, Thr...KICK OUT!! The crowd goes wild as Archie kicks out! An enraged Icarus picks Peck up and drills him into the corner with the Blu-Ray! One, Two, NOOO!! Archie kicks out again and the comeback begins as he fires off lefts and rights before dropping Icarus with a leg lariat. Peck marches around the ring and then head to the top turnbuckle for his finisher! Peck dives beautifully from the top rope and crashes into the canvas where Icarus is no longer laying. With a smirk Icarus drags the prone Archie off of the mat, drops him with a Pedigree and covers him for the 1,2,3. The arena explodes into a chorus of boo's, followed by a "We Will Miss You" chant as Archie walks dejectedly back to the dressing room.
El Generico is in quickly and he and Icarus go back and forth for several minutes. Generico manages to maintain the upper hand for quite some time, until Icarus blocks a Brainbuster attempt by kicking Generico in the groin. A shot the referee didn't see. Icarus cockily pulls Generico into the position for a Pedigree, but is stopped short when the curtain parts and Gran Akuma walks onto the stage. Icarus ignores Generico and walks to the ropes to jaw with his former partner. Akuma just smiles as Icarus flaps his gums, until after several moments Generico comes from behind and rolls Icarus up for the three count and the fall!
As soon as the bell rings, Akuma charges the ring, but Icarus quickly bails out and into the audience. Meanwhile El Generico celebrates his victory inside the ring, as Akuma continues to chase his former partner.
2) Tim Donst & Jakob Hammermeier vs The Young Bucks
Two teams with two points, and the only person in the match who the fans seem to care for is Jakob. Jakob and Matt Jackson start and surprisingly Jakob takes control. Hammermeier connects with a series of forearms and follows it up with a choke. He keeps looking at Donst for approval with every move and finds none. Eventually the distraction proves too much, and Matt manages to make the tag to Nick who obliterates Jakob with a springboard x-factor. A series of superkicks follow and Jakob is nearly pinned, but manages to kick out at two. A series of quick tags by the Bucks follow, but eventually they begin posturing after a brutal double superkick, and Jakob is able to crawl over and tag the boot of Donst. Donst comes in and catches Matt with a brutal elbow to the jaw that stuns the elder Jackson. The SDT follows, but Nick breaks up the pinfall attempt at two. Jakob enters the ring to assist Donst, but is met with yet another superkick from Nick. Donst waits until referee Daniel Yost goes to the fallen Jakob and then punts Nick Jackson in the groin. He then grabs Matt and drills him with another SDT before covering him for the One, Two, Three!!
TIM DONST AND JAKOB HAMMERMEIER HAVE 3 POINTS!!3) Sami Callihan vs CombatANT
This was a brawl from the time the bell rang until it ended. Callihan got the early advantage, blasting The Swarm member with a Bicycle Kick that got him a count of two. A Saito suplex followed by the Koji Clutch nearly garnered the submission for Sami, but CombatANT was able to reach the ropes. Sami drug CombatANT up and blasted him with a forearm shot, but it seemed to only anger the Ant who then retaliated with a series of forearms, followed by a saluting roaring forearm that sent Callihan to the mat. The saluting headbutt followed, and then an Inverted Chikara Special nearly got the tap from Sami. The momentum would go back and forth for another five minutes until Sami went for a German suplex, CombatANT stopped the momentum by grabbing referee Jon Barber to stop himself from being lifted on the ground. As Barber pulled free, CombatANT tossed his leg backwards and nailed Callihan in the groin. He turned, scooped Sami up and drilled him with the TKO for the One, Two, Thr...NOOO! Callihan kicked out and CombatANT lost his mind, shoving Barber, kicking the ropes, and screaming. He then scooped Callihan back up and absolutely destroyed him with a vertabreaker!! The pinfall was an after thought as officials rushed to the ring to check on the fallen Callihan. After a few moments, Callihan shoves the help aside and begins to howl "I know who you are" as he heads toward the curtain where CombatANT just exited.
4) Tursas vs Michael Elgin vs Eddie Kingston vs Kevin Steen
Before the match could begin Kevin Steen spit at Eddie Kingston, and then bailed to the floor, leaving a steaming mad "War King" to start the match against Tursas. A hard shove from the giant viking only further enraged Kingston who went to work. A series of brutal chops staggered the massive Tursas, two Yakuza Kicks left the giant reeling, and a Huge Lariat sent him crashing to the mat. Kingston wasted no time and plowed into Tursas with a Sliding D that got two and a half. Kingston decimated him with a second one that was only escaped by Tursas grabbing the rope. Kingston began to pace the ring, waiting for Tursas to get back to his feet, and when he did, the Backfist to the Future sent him right back down. A third Sliding D was all she wrote as Kingston covered Tursas for the 1,2,3.
Eddie called for Steen to enter the ring, using some non-Chikara like language, but Michael Elgin stepped into the ring. Elgin and Kingston went at it for a solid four minutes, the two big men exchanging chops, then lariats, and then Elgin took control with a huge shoulder block. A suplex into a side slam rocked Eddie, and a big powerbomb followed it. Elgin covered, but Kingston kicked out at one. Elgin went for another powerbomb, but Eddie blocked it and chopped Elgin in the face. Kingston went back toward the ropes to deliver a lariat, but Steen pulled down the top rope sending Kinston tumbling to the floor and making Steen the legal man.
Steen came in and immediately poked Elgin in the eye. He nailed a series of punches to the face, and then bit Elgin on the nose. Elgin shook off the damage and looked at Steen with malicious intent. Steen attempted to beg off, and then started to run, but failed to see Eddie Kingston slide into the ring behind him. The Backfist to the Future sent Steen stumbling into an incensed Michael Elgin who nailed Steen with a Powerbomb, then without letting go hoisted him up for another powerbomb. Elgin then picked Steen up and powerbombed him into the turnbuckle, then grabbed him on the rebound and nailed a Spinning Sit-Out Powerbomb! The three count was nothing more than mandatory as Steen wasn't going anywhere....for a while. Referee's and trainee's hit the ring and helped Kevin Steen to the back.
Kingston and Elgin both watched on as Steen was removed and then nodded their readiness to one another. What followed was a battle of chops, forearms strikes, kicks, and lariats that would have knocked normal men unconscious. However after a solid six minutes of action both men albeit woozy were still standing. Elgin bounced off the ropes and delivered yet another massive lariat that sent Eddie down to one knee. But Kingston came back up and belted Elgin in the face with a series of forearm strikes that left Elgin's knees wobbling. Eddie called for the Backfist to the Future, but Elgin ducked and nailed Kingston with a spinning backfist of his own. Unfortunately for him, all it did was piss Kingston off. The Backfist to the Future followed and sent Elgin down to his butt, and the Sliding D connected with a smack that echoed across the arena. Kingston used his last ounce of strength to drape an arm across Elgin and Bryce Remsburg counted One, Two, Three.
5) Mike Quackenbush vs 17
The quickest match of the night as 17 attempted to Pearl Harbor Quack with a shotei, but Quackenbush ducked and blasted the masked man with one of his own. While 17 staggered, Quack scooped him up and planted him in the center of the ring with the Quackendriver III for the One, Two, Three. Quack celebrated for a moment, then slowly turned his attention back to 17. Quack made the motion of pulling off the mask, and the crowd went crazy. Before Quack could act, Adam Cole hit the ring alongside AssailANT and CombatANT. The three of them swarmed Quackenbush (no pun intended) and began to lay a beating on him. Sami Callihan came racing out from the back and slid into the ring, plowing right into CombatANT with a clothesline that sent both of them sailing over the ropes. Fire Ant and Soldier Ant headed out, followed by security and everyone in the ring was held back from assaulting one another.
6) The Batiri (Obariyon/Kodama) vs The Briscoe Brothers (Jay Briscoe/Mark Briscoe) - CAMPEONES DE PAREJAS
Fall 1: Jay Briscoe and Obariyon began the match and Briscoe was able to take the advantage. The story of the first fall was the Briscoe's using their experience advantage and tag team prowess to really take it to The Batiri. Obariyon was in the ring for quite some time, continuosly cut off from Kodama. Jay and Mark used quick tags and lots of double teaming to punish Obariyon. After about seven minutes of constant punishment, The Briscoes nailed Obariyon with a Spike Jay Driller. They nearly had the three count, but Kodama made the save. The Briscoe's shook it off and continued the punishment, culminating in Obariyon being annihilated with The Doomsday Device. The cover followed and Jon Barber counted the One, Two, Thr...KODAMA MADE THE SAVE!! Kodama rolled Obariyon out of the ring, and turned around directly into a Jay Briscoe Yakuza Kick. Dual Super Kicks followed, then finally a Jay Driller and their was no one to make the save this time. Briscoes take fall number one.
Fall 2: The second fall was more of the same as Jay and Mark continued to work over both members of The Batiri. A solid five minutes of this and it looked like it was all over. Then Mark Briscoe whipped Obariyon into the turnbuckle, Mark went to followed him in and Obariyon vaulted up and over and nailed Mark with a springboard backcracker. A quick tag to Kodama and a drop toe hold into a knee strike followed it up. The Jon Woo kick sent Mark rocketing back into the turnbuckle, and then as he stumbled out, Obariyon nailed his Flying DDT. Kodama cut off Jay, and Obariyon covered Mark for the three count and the fall. The Batiri win fall number two.
Fall 3: The Batiri jumped the gun and knocked Jay Briscoe out of the ring forcing Mark to still be the legal man. The two of them went to work, but Mark ducked a double clothesline and fired off some Redneck Kung Fu onto both men. After a few shots, Obariyon cut him off with a kick to the gut. Kodama sent Mark into the ropes, and they nailed him with a brutal looking drop toehold into a knee strike. Jay was in the ring before either man had a chance to react. He blasted Obariyon with a Yakuza kick that sent him sailing out of the ring. Kodama went for a clothesline, but Jay ducked and scooped him up for a Death Valley Driver that connected. Jay rolled Mark out of the ring, and nailed a baseball slide on Obariyon who was starting to get back up. Jay pulled Kodama to his feet and planted him with the Jay Driller for the One, Two, Three.
THE BRISCOE BROTHERS ARE THE NEW CAMPEONES DE PAREJAS!! During intermission two announcements were made. The first was that Season 12 of Chikara would begin with a show called "War Dawn." The second was that Season 12 of Chikara would see the return of the Tag World Grand Prix!!
7) The Throwbacks vs FIST vs The Spectral Envoy vs 3.0
Elimination #1: At the nine minute mark of the match, Frightmare caught Sugar Dunkerton with a Fright Crusher. Dunkerton managed to get his shoulder up on the accompanying pinfall, but a follow up Frightensteiner with a leg hook secured the pinfall and the point for The Envoy.
Elimination #2: Just past the sixteen minute mark, Frightmare nailed Johnny Gargano with Kneecolepsy. Frightmare then leapt up and dropkicked Chuck Taylor off of the ring apron, before delivering a second Kneecolepsy for the One, Two, Three.
Elimination #3: At the twenty two minute mark, Frightmare leapt over a "Big Magic" spear causing Matthews to spear Parker. Parker tumbled from the ring, as Hallowicked came in and leveled Matthews with a huge Yakuza kick. Frightmare dropped Matthews with the Fright Crusher for the Pinfall!
THE SPECTRAL ENVOY HAS 3 POINTS!!8) Ultramantis Black vs Delirious
Before the match could begin, Director of Fun Wink Vavvaseur came to the ring and took the microphone from Gavin Loudspeaker. He then announced that the stipulations for this match have changed. Firstly there will be no disqualifications and no count outs. Secondly, if anyone interfered in the match there contract would be terminated and they would be banned from Chikara for life. Third and last, he would be the special guest referee for this contest.
Before the bell could even ring, Delirious launched himself across the ring and blasted Ultramantis with a series of kicks that backed Mantis into the buckle. Delirious fired off a series of clotheslines in the corner that sent Black to a seated position in the corner. The Panic Attack followed and Vavvaseur dropped down and counted the One, Two, Thr....KICK OUT! Ultramantis is quickly back to his feet and he is fired up!! Three Mongolian Chops rock Delirious. A headbutt between the eyes leaves him reeling, and a full nelson slam put him down. Mantis wasn't finished as he drug Delirious to his feet, kicked him in the gut, and drilled him with the Praying Mantis Bomb. Vavvaseur counts One, Two, SHOULDER UP! Delirious gets the shoulder up and Mantis protests briefly that the count was slow. This gives Delirious enough time to slide out of the ring. Mantis follows him out and shoves Delirious hard into the ring post. Mantis is given a chair by a fan at ringside, and he uses it to blast Delirious. Mantis hands the chair back to the fan, and rolls Delirious into the ring. A second Praying Mantis Bomb connects, and Wink Vavvaseur counts One, Two....KOBALD BREAKS UP THE PIN!! Mantis is quickly to his feet and begins to fire off punches at Kobald, as Wink Vavvaseur calls for the microphone.
Wink:
What I meant was that if anyone other than Kobald interfered in this match they would be fired! The crowd begins to boo, and after dropping Kobald with a Mongolian Chop, Ultramantis Black turns to stare down Vavvaseur. Vavvaseur mockingly throws up his hands as if to say "Who, Me" and as Mantis begins to advance on him, Obariyon and Kodama hit the ring and Pearl Harbor Ultramantis Black.
Wink:
What I meant was that if anyone other than The Batiri interfere in this match, they will be fired!!!Delirious and the three members of The Batiri are in the ring laying the boots to Ultramantis as Wink looks on smiling. Soon enough Hallowicked and Frightmare rush out from behind the curtain, but Vavvaseur speaks again...
Wink:
If you cross the threshold of those ropes I will terminate your contracts.....Hallowicked and Frightmare hesitate for a moment and a stream of men in black hooded robes begin to converge from all sides of the arena to block their entrance into the ring. Meanwhile inside the ring, Delirious hoists Ultramantis Black up into a Praying Mantis Bomb of his own, and decimates Mantis with his own finishing move. Vavvaseur drops down and slowly, cockily counts the One, Two, Three.
Wink stands in the center of the ring, Obariyon, Kodama, and Kobald gather around him. Delirious sits before him, Ultramantis unconcious at his feet. Vavvaseur raises the microphone and speaks again...
"I have spent the last few years pretending to be a fool. I have worn this false face that I sculpted to fool all of you. Chikara has been so worried about it's BDK, about Ring of Honor, about Gekido, that it has failed to notice that I have been sabotaging it from the inside. Minions, bring forth my true face....One of the black hooded men emerges carrying a large box. Two more of them get in the ring, and the first hands the box to them. They carry it to wear Vavvaseur now stands and open it. They lift out the object with-in and place it on the head of Wink Vavvaseur, or should we say....
Dr. Cube
"Some time back Ultramantis Black traded me the Eye of Tyr for the services of a man not worth naming. For the first and only time in my existence, I came out on the losing end of that bargain. Then I had to watch as Mantis abused the powers of the Eye, while I had nothing to show for the trade. So I created the facade of Wink Vavvaseur, I buttered up the stupid and weak minded of Chikara until they placed me in a position of power. Since then I have moved the pieces on the chess board around, all while playing the fool so that no one would ever suspect me. Apart from Chikarason, none did. Now along with the new general of my army Delirious, and his soldiers The Batiri, I rule Chikara and there is nothing that anyone can do about it. They may elect a new Director of Fun, but my last act under that title was to secure myself a managers license for the men in the ring, and to make sure that their and my contracts are iron clad. See you next season Chikarmy, your hero Ultramantis has been humbled for now, in a few months time, he will be destroyed!A second short intermission was taken so that Ultramantis could be helped from the ring, and the backstage panic caused by what just happened could be resolved.
9) The Colony (Fire Ant and Soldier Ant) vs The Swarm (Adam Cole and AssailANT)
Adam Cole and Fire Ant started this one off and after a few arm drags and kicks from Fire Ant, Cole gained control with an eye rake. Cole and AssailANT made quick tags working over The Hot Property, and managed to prevent all of his efforts of tagging in Soldier Ant. At around the seven minute mark, Fire Ant mounted a comeback against AssailANT and was nearly to Soldier when Adam Cole blasted him with a Corona Kick and drug him back across the ring. After another minute of working Fire Ant over, Cole headed to the top and destroyed Fire Ant with the Panama Sunrise, then covered for the One, Two, Thr....SOLDIER ANT PULLED THE REFEREE OUT OF THE RING!! Soldier Ant then immediately slides into the ring, ducks a Cole clothesline and delivers a brutal spinning elbow strike that sends Cole to the mat. AssailANT runs in and attempts a clothesline of his own, but Soldier ducks it as well and scoops him up on the rebound, dropping him with the TKO. Cole is back to his feet and fires off a superkick, but Soldier Ant manages to duck it and scoops Cole up for another TKO, but Cole slides out the back. He grabs the mask of Soldier Ant and begins to yank fiercely on it, but in doing so fails to see Fire Ant has gotten back to his feet and Cole gets blasted in the side of the head with a leaping kick. Cole tumbles to the floor, turning Soldier Ant's mask to the side as he does so, and Fire Ant turns his attention to AssailANT who is in the far corner of the ring. Referee Jon Barber slides back into the ring and attempts to help Soldier Ant who is trying to turn his mask back around. In doing so, he fails to see AssailANT remove his own mask and toss it to Fire Ant. Barber finishes helping Soldier Ant and turns around to see AssailANT down on the canvas covering his head, and Fire Ant standing in the middle of the ring holding the mask. Barber has no choice but to call for the DQ.
Adam Cole runs over and grabs "AssailANT" by the foot and pulls him out of the ring. AssailANT uncovers his face in front of the camera and there is a grin on it from ear to ear. He just sacrificed his mask for a shot at the Campeones De Parejas....
ADAM COLE AND JOEY RYAN HAVE 3 POINTS!!!10) Jigsaw vs Ophidian - Chikara Grand Championship
The match started tentatively, with both men feeling one another out a bit. A few collar and elbow tie ups, a few leg kicks, and an exchanged of missed drop kicks. Finally after several minutes, Ophidian took it up a notch blasting Jigsaw with a dropkick to the knee. Ophidian went to work with a series of leg based submissions, and dropped several knees onto the injured leg. Ophidian hit a dragon screw, and pulled Jig up for another one, but hesitated a moment and was blasted with an enzuigiri. Jig whipped Ophidian into the corner and followed him in on one leg with a brutal back elbow. A series of forearm smashes followed, and then Jig heaved Ophidian onto the top turnbuckle. Ophidian did his best to block it, but a huge superplex followed that left both men down in the ring. Even after being on the receiving end of the move, Ophidian was the first to his feet as Jigsaw clutched at his knee. Ophidian drug Jigsaw up by the mask and sent him right back down with a big kick to the back of the knee. A kneebar followed, but Jigsaw was able to make his way to the ropes. Ophidian stomped away at the knee of Jigsaw in a fit on anger, and referee Bryce Remsburg had to push him away. Ophidian pushed Bryce aside and went back in, but Jigsaw grabbed him by the tights and leveraged him face first into the turnbuckle.
Jigsaw used the ropes to get to his feet, then pulled Ophidian up by the mask. Jig lifted Ophidian into position for the Jig 'n' Tonic, but Ophidian managed to slip out, and lock in the Death Grip to a standing Jigsaw. Jig began to make his way to the ropes carrying the weight of Ophidian on his back. He was about two steps away when his knee gave out and both men collapsed to the canvas. Ophidian began to wrench the hold as hard as he could, but Jigsaw clawed his way toward the rope and was finally able to reach it. Ophidian began to argue with Bryce Remsburg, and again Jigsaw used the ropes to stand himself up. When Ophidian turned from his argument, Jigsaw unleashed a brutal superkick that sent Ophidian down to the canvas. He collapsed onto the Osirian for the cover and Bryce counted One, Two, KICK OUT!!!
Both men are on the canvas as Bryce begins the twenty count. Both of them make it to their feet at around twelve. Jigsaw attempts another superkick, but Ophidian ducks it and leaps toward Jig's back to lock on the Death Grip, but Jig moves enough to counter it into an arm drag. Ophidian rolls through and tries to sweep the leg of Jigsaw who leaps over it, only to have his knee give out on the landing. Ophidian is quick to pounce, setting Jigsaw up for the Egyptian Destroyer, but stopping before executing the move, remembering how his last encounter with Jigsaw ended. Instead he rolls Jigsaw into a small package, but only gets a count of two. Ophidian drags Jig back to his feet and hooks him for a suplex, but Jigsaw counters it and drills Ophidian with a brain buster. He makes the cover, and also only gets two. Again both men struggle to their feet, Jigsaw makes it first and fire off another superkick that sends Ophidian backwards and bounces him off the ropes, on the rebound Jigsaw scoops him up and drills him with another Jig 'n' Tonic. Bryce counts the One, Two, Three.
JIGSAW RETAINS THE CHIKARA GRAND CHAMPIONSHIP!!As Jigsaw is handed the belt, and Gavin Loudspeaker begins to make the announcement, The Shard comes running from the back and grabs the microphone.
"Jig, who I am isn't important right now. I have to tell you who they are, what they are planning....."
17, CombatANT, Adam Cole, and Joey Ryan hit the ring and jump on The Shard. Jigsaw attempts to intervene, but Joey Ryan kicks him directly in the groin sending the Grand Champion to the mat. Mike Quackenbush, Fire Ant, and Soldier Ant race to the ring and begin brawling with the members of the Gekido. Before long Sami Callihan heads for the ring with a steel chair, but he is cut off by Kevin Steen who blasts Callihan in the head with a chair of his own. The Young Bucks race to ringside and slide into the ring, where they immediately nail Mike Quackenbush in the face with a double superkick!!
Dasher Hatfield and Sugar Dunkerton come from behind the curtain to join the fray on the side of Chikara, but only Dasher makes it to the ring, as Roderick Strong leaps out of the crowd and shoves Dunkerton into the ring post. In the ring 17 nails Soldier Ant with a cross legged fisherman buster, while Joey Ryan and The Young Bucks obliterate Fire Ant with a triple superkick. Hatfield fairs no better when he eats a Kevin Steen Package Piledriver. CombatANT is stomping Sami Callihan on the floor while this all occurs.
Finally 17, CombatANT, Adam Cole, Joey Ryan, The Young Bucks, Roderick Strong, and Kevin Steen stand in the ring amongst the bodies of Chikara's finest. 17 reaches up and removes his mask to reveal himself as Eddie Edwards. CombatANT does the same, revealing himself to be Drake Younger. Kevin Steen lifts the microphone to his mouth and speaks...
"You losers have been so worried about Ring of Honor for so long, that you never could have seen this one coming. Ring of Honor ceased being relevant or meaning anything about five years ago. There was a time it was the top indy promotion on the planet, but that time has passed. Even the Smark Marks, or as you call them Chikarmy, know that to be true. Now the debate is whether Chikara is better, or whether Pro Wrestling Guerrilla is better. We are here to show the world that PWG is the best wrestling promotion on the planet."
As Steen finishes his last sentence, the curtain parts and Eddie Kingston walks slowly toward the ring clapping his hands. Kingston doesn't bother going for the microphone, instead choosing to yell at the men in the ring....
"You want a war partnah, you got one. Hell, if I gotta do it myself, I will come in there and beat each and every one of you motherfu....."
Kingston never gets a chance to finish as he is cracked directly in the back of the head with a chair. Kingston slumps down in the middle of the aisle as Super Dragon stares at the dented chair in his hands. He drops it, and motions for the men in the ring to follow him, as the members of the PWG roster exit the building, leaving all of the stars of Chikara laying in their wake.
