HCW Training Day
Philadelphia, PA
Not only had Chikara not released a line-up for their show (nor did they really need to, as it was already sold out), they found themselves outdrawn in their shootout with HCW, as the rival promotion scheduled their opening match a half-hour earlier than the show in Easton.
As the webcast went live, the cameras swept the capacity crowd, where a great many fans were texting, tweeting, and otherwise communicating with fans at the Chikara show, trading barbs and even threats as vigorously as the wrestlers themselves. Ultimately, the cameras swept down to Mike Tenay and Dave Prazak, sitting at ringside.
TENAY: "Welcome to history in the making! Welcome to Training Day, live from Philadelphia!"
PRAZAK: "Welcome to the night Heritage Championship Wrestling completely dominates that Purosuck fed down the road!"
TENAY: "A lot of questions to be answered tonight, Dangerous Dave--not only in War Games, here in Philadelphia, but in nearby Easton as eight HCW superstars--"
PRAZAK: "Don't even give them the satisfaction, Michael Tenay. You know that a good word from 'the Professor' will spike their buy rate."
TENAY: "Well, I don't know about that, but thank you anyway. Not only will we have War Games tonight, we'll see the remaining Training Day Recruits--"
PRAZAK: "Except for Mark Sterling."
TENAY: "The recruits, except for Mark Sterling, will be in action against trainees from another program. There are no votes tonight. Win, and you get immunity. Lose, and this could be your last night in HCW.
PRAZAK: "And it looks like the first of those matches is underway right now. Let's go to the ring!"
HCW: Eddie Osbourne vs. Jed Winchester
The Training Day front-runner made his way to the ring, slapping hands and soaking in the cheers of the fans. The crowd knew very little about Winchester, but he was cast in the role of heel simply by virtue of his opponent's popularity. Osbourne got off to a fast start, relying on his speed and experience to take Winchester down, and really manhandling him on the mat. He went for a pin, but Winchester was just too strong to keep down. Another roll-up got him a two-count, and when he popped up, Winchester took him down with a huge clothesline.
After that, the match swung back and forth between the two competitors with no clear advantage going to either man, until Osbourne sent Winchester into the ropes and telegraphed a back body drop. Winchester kicked the man in the face, then took him down with another stiff lariat to get a two-count. Another lariat led to another near fall, but when he went for a third, Osbourne ducked under his arm, bounced off the far ropes...and ran right into a huge spinebuster that knocked him senseless. Winchester hooked his leg, and picked up the win!
WINNER: Jed Winchester via pinfall (13:44) **
HCW: Rob James vs. Michael Andrews
Andrews came into this match hoping to emulate his rival's success in the previous match, and indeed, he showed a lot of heart, absorbing punishment from James and refusing to stay down. While he showed great resilience, he demonstrated very little offense--and that is not a recipe for winning wrestling matches. James managed to hit his 94% BETTER THAN YOU DRIVER and pick up a clean win, vaulting himself into first place in the Training Day standings.
WINNER: Rob James via pinfall (10:02) *
CHIKARA
presents...One, Night Two
Easton, PA
CHIKARA Six-Man Scramble: Amasis vs. Archibald Peck vs. Ares vs. El Hijo del Ice Cream vs. Ice Cream Jr. vs. Scott Parker
Gavin Loudspeaker introduced the opening match of Night Two, explaining that this would be the first of three scramble matches, and the winners of each would combine to take on the Colony for the Reyes del Trinidad at Night Three. Amasis and Ares drew the short straws to start the match, but several tags later, it was El Hijo del Ice Cream who scored the first elimination, pinning Archibald Peck after a COLD STONE STUNNER (9:44). Not to be outdone by his partner, Ice Cream Jr. went on to pin Amasis with a picture-perfect cross body block from the top rope (12:36), and followed up by hitting Ares with...
LOUDSPEAKER: "Sprinkles! That bag is full of sprinkles! By all that's holy, no!"
The raw, barbaric barbarism of a power bomb onto the sprinkles was too much for Ares, who was pinned with sprinkles still sticking out of his flesh in horrific manner. After that, Los Ice Creams absolutely brutalized their remaining partner, Scott Parker. It didn't take long before he was a bloody wreck, and the Delicious Duo continued to punish him, hitting him with big move after big move, and picking him up rather than making a cover. Shane Matthews finally came out to save his partner, trying to get into the ring, but being restrained by ringside security. With no other recourse, Matthews threw in the towel for his partner, who was no longer recognizable beneath his crimson mask (29:32).
With everyone else eliminated, Los Ice Creams did not seem to have the appetite to fight one another. After a brief discussion, they borrowed a coin from Gavin Loudspeaker, flipped it, and El Hijo del Ice Cream hopped over the top rope to eliminate himself, then pocketed Loudspeaker's coin.
LOUDSPEAKER: "Hey! That was a whole quarter!"
WINNER: Ice Cream Jr. (31:49) ***
HCW: Bradley Charles vs. Rick Vanover
Back in Philadelphia, Vanover demanded the microphone several times prior to his big match, but like Jim Morrison, received no satisfaction. Despite looking cocky as Bradley Charles made his entrance, Vanover offered virtually no resistance, and Charles coasted to victory after a LONG KISS GOODNIGHT.
WINNER: Bradley Charles via pinfall (5:37) *½
HCW: Backstage Drama
The webcast cut to the backstage area, where Mike Quackenbush, Claudio Castagnoli, and the rest of Team CHIKARA had just arrived at the arena. As word of their arrival spread, and the footage was relayed to the jumbotron, the HCW fans erupted in a deafening chorus of boo's.
Arya Daivari vs. Danny Powell
Prior to this match, Daivari demanded the microphone.
DAIVARI: "Unbelievable! Of all nine of these white devils Heritage has brought in, who do I face? Who? The pig capitalist! The man who lied and cheated his way to riches, just like all Americans! I will not even dignify him by speaking his name aloud, but I can promise you, I will make him pay for his godless ways!"
And indeed, Daivari completely disassembled Powell in the ring, administering a beating so severe that Powell finally fled to the floor and ran to the back, taking the voluntary count out in order to end the beating.
WINNER: Arya Daivari via count out (7:48) ½
CHIKARA Six-Man Scramble: AssailANT vs. Gregory Iron vs. Grizzly Redwood vs. Jakob Hammermeier vs. Johnny Gargano vs. Pinkie Sanchez
Just up the I-476, the second Scramble Match was just getting underway. Sanchez and Hammermeier ironically drew the short straws to start the match, but an immediate tag brought GEKIDO's AssaiANT into the ring, where he endured a five-on-one beating. He managed to hold on long enough--and tag out just in time--to see Redwood pin Iron after a WOOD CHIPPER (14:47), and Sanchez pin Redwood after a BURNING SNICKLEFRITZ (15:41). The masked man went on to steal a fall when the rest of his Swarm teammates came out: CombatANT and HymenopterANT distracted the official while AssailANT and DeviANT planted Sanchez with a SPIKE PILEDRIVER (26:11). While the Swarm was being ejected from ringside, Hammermeier jumped AssailANT from behind and a timely GUTEN NACHT allowed him to avenge his BDK teammate (33:11), and another put away Johnny Gargano (35:36).
WINNER: Jakob Hammermeier (35:36) **
In-Ring Promo: Bryan Danielson
Chikara fans watching the webcast on their mobile devices heard The Final Countdown and saw Bryan Danielson making his way to the ring, and getting a fair number of boo's. He nodded, acknowledging this, and asked for a microphone.
DANIELSON: "Okay. Okay, I guess I deserve that. And I guess it's because of the attack on Kevin Steen."
CROWD: "Kill, Steen, kill! Kill, Steen, kill!"
DANIELSON: "Yeah... Yeah, in retrospect, it was probably not the best move to make, and I'm sorry for it. But I want you fans to understand why I did what I did."
CROWD: "Boo?"
DANIELSON: "You see, I want...no, I need to fix the problems with pro wrestling. I love it...I've loved it since I was a kid. I loved it when I was trying to get into Dean Malenko's wrestling school. I loved it when I finally got into my second choice--Shawn Michaels' school. loved it when I was wrestling for ten dollars a match in front of twenty people in high school gyms. I loved it when I was main eventing Pay Per Views for the biggest company in America."
CROWD: "..."
DANIELSON: "But while I was there, I wasn't a wrestler. I wasn't allowed to be a wrestler. i was a 'sports entertainer.'
CROWD: "Boo!"
DANIELSON: "Yes! Absolutely, if you're going to boo something, boo that! Boo the cartoon characters, the masked freaks, the flipping and flopping, the high risks that shorten careers! Boo the nonsense that you see on television Monday nights, and understand...you see the exact same thing in Chikara!"
CROWD: "Chikara sucks! Chikara sucks!"
DANIELSON: "Chikara does suck! The wrestlers don't suck... Well, okay, some of them do. But a lot of them are damn good wrestlers. Damn good athletes. A lot of them, I'd love to see what they would do in a real wrestling promotion. But we'll never get to see it, because they're too busy playing little parts in that technicolor, sci-fi channel, cartoon network... For crying out loud, they have tag teams that are supposedly the same guy traveling through time, and cyborgs, and, and furries, and dragons..."
CROWD: "American Dragon! American Dragon!"
DANIELSON: "Okay, okay...bad example. But what I'm saying is that they could be so much better... They could be...us! And I want...I need to make them see that! Because I fell into the same trap, and I hated myself every day for it. So yes, we are at war! And yes, we want to take out Chikara. And yes, I've given Mark Sterling special treatment, because I think he can help us do it. And you can be on board that train--the train steaming right towards Chikara's heart--or you can get run over by it! That's what happened to Kevin Steen, and that's what will happen to Mike Quackenbush tonight!"
CROWD: "Yay!"
Danielson threw down the microphone and raised his arms, pumping up the crowd. They cheered him as if he'd never even touched Kevin Steen, and he made his way to the back.
HCW: Jeremy Wyatt vs. Chase Monroe
Wyatt totally dominated the inexperienced Monroe, picking up a victory with his KC CROSSFACE.
WINNER: Jeremy Wyatt via submission (3:45) *½
HCW: Devin Carter vs. Adam King
Like most of his fellow recruits, Carter controlled this match and had King in big trouble...until the DTT competitor managed to force Carter out to the floor, then launch himself over the top rope with a huge suicide plancha (apparently someone was paying attention to Val Venis' coaching)! Carter was never the same after that, allowing King to pick up a surprise victory with a simple inside cradle.
WINNER: Adam King via pinfall (7:05) **
CHIKARA Six-Man Scramble: CombatANT vs. DeviANT vs. The Hobo vs. HymenopterANT vs. Shane Matthews vs. Sugar Dunkerton
In the third and final scramble match, CombatANT and the Hobo drew the short straws to start the match, and it didn't take long for the homeless grappler to fall prey to a TKO (3:04). A few quick tags later, HymenopterANT put Sugar Dunkerton away with a 450 SPLASH (5:52), leaving Shane Matthews alone against three members of the Swarm. Another 450 SPLASH ended his evening a few minutes later, then the action ground to a halt as CombatANT demanded the microphone, speaking through a voice converter to mask his identity.
COMBATANT: "Chikara! We know you want to see the three of us tear each other apart. Won't happen. We are united against you in ways you can't even imagine. No one wants to see The Colony take on some ragtag band of misfits. If you know what's good for you, it will be the Swarm challenging them--and beating them--to become the Trinity Kings!"
CombatANT threw down the microphone, then he and his teammates approached the ropes and, in unison, hopped over them and to the floor.
WINNERS: CombatANT, DeviANT & HymenopterANT...or nobody, depending on your point of view (8:17) ½
HCW: Derek Wylde vs. Todd Lilly
Wylde was not about to let his pride suffer damage at the hands of the upstart Lilly. He utterly punished the youngster, scoring the pinfall after his DANGER DRIVER.
WINNER: Derek Wylde via pinfall (2:46) --
HCW: Brian Ash vs. Brent Rollins
Rollins never knew what hit him. He went for a clothesline right at the opening bell, but Ash ducked under the move, hit a German suplex, then a DEVASTATOR for the quick pin!
WINNER: Brian Ash via pinfall (0:31) --
HCW: Hayden Avery vs. CJ Rose
The third straight HCW squash saw Avery pin Rose after his DRUNK DRIVER.
WINNER: Hayden Avery via pinfall (3:14) --
CHIKARA: The Batiri (c) vs. Diamond Sun in a European Rules Match for the Campeonatos de Parejas
FALL #1: The Batiri were befuddled early by the quickness of Ophidian and the old-school style of Dasher Hatfield, allowing Ophidian to pick up a quick pinfall on Kodama with a flying body press (3:17).
FALL #2: After a thirty-second rest period, the Batiri managed to slow things down until they could get their bearings, and gradually, they began to solve the riddle of their opponents. Absorbing everything the challengers threw at them, the demon warriors slowly turned the tide, until Kodama caught Ophidian with a FLYING BLOCKBUSTER to even the match at one fall each (28:32)
FALL #3: After the rest period, this fall picked up where the previous fall left off. Kodama went for another BLOCKBUSTER, but Ophidian was able to slither his way to the ropes. A tag to Obariyon saw the Egyptian challenger eat a FLYING DDT, but Hatfield made a timely save. The match continued in this vein for several minutes, with the champs pounding Ophidian into the mat, but the challenger staying alive due to his own canny instincts or an assist from his partner. When the Batiri finally made a mistake, Ophidian capitalized to tag in his partner, and the fresh Dasher Hatfield made both men pay. This time, it was Obariyon's turn to absorb punishment, and he ultimately fell prey to a GRAND SLAM, then a modified GRAND SLAM DUNK, but he refused to stay down for the count. Once Ophidian was back in the ring, he sized up his opponents and allowed Obariyon to make the tag, sensing weakness in Kodama with his serpentine senses. In this case his senses were on target, as he was able to trap Kodama in his DEATH GRIP, and Hatfield cut off the save, tying Obariyon up until Kodama was out cold.
WINNERS and NEW CAMPEONATOS DE PAREJAS: Diamond Sun, 2 falls to 1 (44:15) ****½
HCW: Eddie Osbourne vs. Devin Carter
This match would determine which of these two recruits continued in the Training Day competition, and which would be sent home. Having heard reports of the epic tag team match underway in Chikara, these two knew they had to pull out all the stops...and they delivered! Ten minutes in, Devin Carter was bloody, and five minutes later, Osbourne was cut open as well. Carter was able to kick out after a FINAL IMPACT, and even (barely) avoided a count out after a FINAL IMPACT on the floor. Osbourne also showed tremendous fortitude, toughing out a wicked chair shot and two TASTY TREAT's. Twenty-five minutes in, both competitors went for a cross body block off the ropes at the same time, and dropped to the mat, stunned. Carter seemed to be marginally better off, as he stumbled to his feet, ran the ropes again, and hit a huge leg drop, then collapsed on top of Osbourne while the referee counted three.
WINNER: Devin Carter via pinfall (28:11) ****½
HCW: Post-Match Drama
After the match, both competitors were utterly drained, but Osbourne managed to find the energy to shake Carter's hand. He also requested a microphone.
OSBOURNE: "Well... It's been a hell of a run. I want to thank...the fans. My coach...coaches, Jay and Mark Briscoe. Kevin Steen, and Bryan Danielson, for thinking I had it. And hey, Winchester. That was a hell of a win tonight. Hang in there, kid--you've got it, too."
The crowd cheered as Osbourne dropped to the mat again, catching his breath for a moment before rolling to the floor and making his way out of an HCW ring for the last time.
CHIKARA Atomicos Match: Team Chikara vs. Team Heritage
Eddie Kingston led the Chikara team to the ring for battle, and the crowd exploded for the hometown heroes: Kingston, Fire Ant, Soldier Ant, Chuck Taylor, Frightmare, Hallowicked, Jigsaw, and Brodie Lee. He was opposed by Team Heritage: Jay and Mark Briscoe, Adam Pearce, Adam Cole, Roderick Strong, Delirious, Abyss, and team captain Christopher Daniels. After taking a few moments to determine their lineups, the captains settled into their places on the apron, and Delirious and Kingston started things off.
FALL #1: Kingston refused to back down against the deranged Delirious, and took a quick fall after a BACKFIST TO THE FUTURE (2:35).
Chikara leads, 8-7
FALL #2: In an attempt to slow Kingston down and steal some of his momentum, Abyss crushed him with a steel chair (under orders from Daniels), drawing a strategic DQ (4:39).
Chikara leads 8-6
FALL #3: Despite bleeding from the head after Abyss' chair shot, Kingston (who hadn't even tagged out yet) was able to hold off the HCW assault, and finally pinned Adam Cole after a SLIDING D (17:30).
Chikara leads 8-5
FALL #4: The Briscoes finally put a stake through the heart of the indestructible Eddie Kingston, hitting him with a DOOMSDAY DEVICE so Mark could make the cover (19:53).
Chikara leads 7-5
FALL #5: After several tags on both sides, Hallowicked sent Roderick Strong into the ropes, but Strong ducked under a clothesline and hit a devastating Mafia Kick to score a pinfall (25:19).
Chikara leads 6-5
FALL #6: Frightmare charged into the ring and hit Strong with a FRIGHT CRUSHER from behind to steal a pin and avenge his partner (25:50).
Chikara leads 6-4
FALL #7: HCW made a concerted effort to slow things down, isolating the Chikara wrestlers on their side of the ring, and cycling through their remaining wrestlers to stay fresh. Ultimately, Christopher Daniels hit the Best Moonsault Ever on Soldier Ant to eliminate half of the Colony (37:21).
Chikara leads 5-4
FALL #8: With momentum starting to shift in their favor, HCW evened things up when Mark Briscoe pinned Fire Ant after a CUT-THROAT DRIVER (41:05).
Both sides even at 4-4
FALL #9 & 10: Chikara rallied back when Jigsaw pinned Jay Briscoe after his JIG 'N' TONIC (47:05), and intercepted Adam Pearce's sneak attack to hit a second JIG 'N' TONIC, eliminating him as well (48:58).
Chikara leads 4-2
FALL #11: Mark Briscoe and Christopher Daniels were forced to work together, and actually showed some decent (albeit desperation) chemistry. They took their first step up a very steep hill when a CUT-THROAT DRIVER spelled the end for Jigsaw (58:36).
Chikara leads 3-2
FALL #12: Christopher Daniels picked up a huge decision over Chuck Taylor when he sent him waaay over the top rope and to the arena floor with a flap jack, leading to a count out (1:01:45).
Both sides even at 2-2
FALL #13: Christopher Daniels tried to pick up a cheap fall by sneaking a chain out of his trunks, wrapping it around his fist, and nailing Frightmare...which would have been brilliant, if the referee hadn't spotted the illegal object and called for a DQ (1:03:44).
Chikara leads 2-1
FALL #14: Now wrestling on his own, Mark Briscoe took advantage of the damage Daniels inflicted on Frightmare to pick up a much needed pinfall after a moonsault (1:06:53).
Both sides even at 1-1
FALL #15: The final and deciding fall saw Mark Briscoe facing off against the much bigger, much stronger Brodie Lee, who had spent very little time in the match, and was relatively fresh. Lee took full advantage of the situation to hammer Briscoe to the mat over and over again, and nearly took his head off with not one, but two BIG BOOT's, though he was unable to keep Briscoe down for the count. After getting hit with a third BIG BOOT and busted open, Briscoe dragged himself to the corner and hauled himself unsteadily to his feet. Referee Bryce Remsburg moved in to check on Briscoe, but Lee--in his zeal to end the match--threw Remsburg to the mat and began laying into Briscoe with fists. Remsburg looked shocked, and a little crestfallen, but Christopher Daniels was on the floor, screaming at him to ring the bell. After a moment of deliberation, the referee's integrity trumped his loyalty, and he called for the bell, disqualifying the last Chikara wrestler.
WINNERS: Team Heritage (1:14:17) ***
Post-Match Drama
After the match was decided, the Heritage team made their way back to the ring to celebrate. Brodie Lee was beside himself, and needed to be restrained by security or he may well have taken Bryce Remsburg's head off. Smirking as only he can smirk, the Fallen Angel demanded the microphone.
DANIELS: "So, my good friend, Bryan Danielson..."
CROWD: "Boo!"
DANIELS: "...has entrusted me with picking who, on the enemy team, I want to bring with me, back to Heritage Championship Wrestling. And I'll be honest, when I look at most of you guys... Incoherence, with your freak masks and your talentless high spots. Brodie Lee, you big goof. The Colony... I don't even know what the hell you're supposed to be! But there's one man--one man who I think has potential."
CROWD: "You suck! You suck! You suck!"
DANIELS: "Chuck Taylor! Chuck, you wrestled a hell of a match against us, and it took a small miracle to beat you, Fortunately, miracles are the Fallen Angel's specialty! But when I look at you, Chuck Taylor...you're stuck in a nowhere tag team, with Johnny freaking Gargano, who couldn't lace up your boots. You're stuck in a pointless stable based on the color of your damn tights! Icarus is challenging for the Grand Championship tonight, Chuck--where's your title shot? You got screwed out of the tag team titles. You got pushed into this match tonight where you got beat, and where your own teammate cost you the victory because of his anger management issues!"
CROWD: "Boo!"
DANIELS: "Chuck, I'm not just offering you a chance to come wrestle for a real company. I'm offering you a chance to wrestle with me, with Abyss, with CM Punk in the Second City Prophecy! What do you say?"
Daniels dropped the microphone, and extended a hand to Taylor, who had made his way out to the ring while the Fallen Angel addressed him. Despite the fans shouting "No," Taylor nodded, grinned, and shook Daniels' hand, signaling the end to his Chikara career.
HCW War Games: Team Chikara vs. Team Heritage
With HCW's huge victory on Chikara's home turf, the pro-Heritage crowd was hyped beyond words for this match. The cage had been assembled and secured while the Atomicos match was contested in Easton, and now HCW was going for the sweep.
1st Period: Tim Donst started the match for Chikara, while Sami Callihan came out from the back to represent HCW. While a no-DQ match like War Games would ordinarily play right into Callihan's strengths, Donst kept him on the mat, working him over with submission holds, and maintaining the edge for most of the five minute period.
2nd Period: As fate would have it, the home team won the toss, and Mark Sterling raced out to join Sami Callihan in the cage. Donst was able to fight off both men at first, but eventually they overpowered him and began working over his back, setting him up for "the Match Beyond."
3rd Period: After two minutes, Green Ant came tearing down the aisle to try and give Donst some breathing room. He went after both HCW wrestlers with a fury, and he and Donst were able to regain the advantage.
4th Period: Another two minutes, and CM Punk was revealed as the third HCW competitor. He targeted Tim Donst and the man's injured back, but he overestimated the man's fatigue. Donst caught Punk, took him down with a suplex, and laid into him with punches while Green Ant kept Callihan and Sterling at bay.
5th Period: Ultramantis Black emerged to join his team in the cage, but unlike the other competitors, he took his time making his way to the cage. By the time he entered the fray, the period was almost up, and Punk, Callihan, and Sterling managed to turn the tide inside the cage.
6th Period: Bryan Danielson rushed out to join team HCW, and they managed to dominate the outnumbered Chikara team (and the disinterested Ultramantis Black).
7th Period: Mike Quackenbush made his way out for Team Chikara, moving slowly due to his injured ribs. As soon as he was in the cage, he went right after Bryan Danielson--which turned into a disaster as the American Dragon began assaulting Quack's ribs, leaving him in dire shape. At some point in this period, Sami Callihan was busted open.
8th Period: The fifth man on the HCW team turned out to be GEKIDO's 17! The masked man rushed out and joined the assault on Quackenbush, but the Chikara founder was outraged at the appearance of his evil doppelganger, and managed to fight off both men, allowing Chikara to weather the 5-on-4 disadvantage.
9th Period: the Match Beyond! Claudio Castagnoli limped out to join the fray, and it was time for Submission or Surrender! In short order, Mike Quackenbush was cut open after being rammed into the cage, and Green Ant, 17, and Ultramantis all had torn costumes, with bloodstains welling up beneath the fabric. The battle raged for another ten minutes, before 17 caught Green Ant in the Inverted CHIKARA Special! The insectoid warrior screamed in agony as the unbreakable hold was cinched tighter and tighter, and Mike Quackenbush charged across the ring to make the save...only to get taken out by a vicious spear by CM Punk. With all his teammates tied up in their own battles, Green Ant finally tapped out!
WINNERS: Team Heritage (28:17) ****
Post Match Drama
Empowered by their win, the HCW wrestlers shook off their various injuries and made their way to the back, leaving the fallen Chikara warriors in the ring. A camerman made his way into the cage, and focused on Mike Quackenbush, staring blankly at Green Ant as he processed the fact that, with the loss, he was now part of the HCW roster, and no longer affiliated with Chikara...
CHIKARA Main Event: Colt "Boom Boom" Cabana (c) vs. Icarus for the Grand Championship
Even though this was a well-fought, competitive match, the mood in the arena was somber as Chikara fans dealt with the major losses they had suffered. Despite bleeding from the nose and lip, Cabana was able to kick out after one BLU-RAY, and got to the ropes to force a break after a second. He rallied back and nearly picked up the win with a COLT .45, but Icarus turned the tables and drove Cabana's battered face into the mat with the WINGS OF ICARUS to pick up the win.
WINNER and NEW GRAND CHAMPION: Icarus via pinfall (13:48) ****
