Bryce Remsburg: What a week! We crowned a new Grand Champion here in Chikara, as Sara Del Rey became the first 2 time Champion. And now we head into August where we will crown a Young Lions Cup Champion. We know Gregory Iron and Sugar Dunkerton have entered. We know the BDK is sending two challengers to the Tournament. We know that Green Ant and Johnny Gargano have entered. 2 spots remain, who will it be?

Veronica: Nothing. You’ve barely had a few matches this year. We’re going nowhere, Archie. But we’re going to change that starting now. I entered you in the Young Lions Cup Tournament, and you better win. Now get out of here and go train?

Card 57: August, Week 1
Welcome to the start of the Young Lions Cup Tournament. We have two first round matches for you tonight. Not only that, but Grand Champion Sara Del Rey will be in a tag team match against the Campeonatos de Parejas Incoherence.
Young Lions Cup Match
Green Ant vs. Johnny Gargano: Gargano tapped out to The Chikara Special and Green Ant gets an easy win to move on in the Tournament.
Shane Matthews & Kodama with The Dark Menace: Matthews and Kodama battled to a double disqualification on the floor.
Tag Team Match
The Osirian Portal vs. The Roughnecks: A brutal back and forth match. A near unconscious Ophidian hit Egyptian Destroyer on Grizzly Redwood for the win.
Young Lions Cup Match
Archibald Peck with Veronica vs. Sugar Dunkerton: Dunkerton was on fire, tearing Peck apart. Peck started a comeback but hit a Baton Smash right in view of referee John Barber and was instantly disqualified. Sugar Dunkerton gets his first win of the year and advances in the Tournament. Veronica threw a full on temper tantrum but Sugar looked like he’d have rather won on his own merit.
Soldier Ant vs. Obariyon with The Dark Menace: It took 3 FLYING DDTs , but a dominant Obariyon got the win over a battered Soldier Ant. Obariyon remains undefeated in singles action.
Bryan Danielson vs. Delirious: Tim Donst joined Gavin in the commentation station. He said he chose not to immediately return to the ring now that his injuries have healed. He is scouting Danielson here tonight, one of the men who put him out. Delirious mounted a bit of an attack, but Bryan controlled the match and won by a CATTLE MUTILATION!
Claudio Castagnoli vs. Larry Sweeney: Claudio dominantly won with two RICOLA BOMBS!
Main Event Tag Team Non-Title Match
Sara Del Rey & Daizee Haze vs. Incoherence [C]: All of Chikara’s Champions in action here. After lots of tags Sara powerbombs Hallowicked for the win over the Campeonatos!

Veronica: You should be sorry. We were supposed to win that whole thing and you lose by disqualification?
Peck: To be fair, you introduced the baton into the match.
Veronica: Really, you’re blaming me? Well blame me for this. I got you a huge match for this week. You are taking on none other than “Lightning” Mike Quackenbush!
Peck: Hasn’t he been in a big war with the BDK? Won’t he… won’t he be angry?
Veronica: And you’re going to use that anger to beat him while he’s not thinking straight. We’ve got this one in the bag!

Card 58: August, Week 2
We continue the first round of the Young Lions Cup tonight, as well as appearances by Mike Quackenbush, Colt Cabana, and Claudio Castagnoli.
Young Lions Cup Match
Jakob Hammermeier vs. Frightmare: So now we know Frightmare is the 8th entrant in the tournament. Jakob controlled the match but was surprised by a double knee smash and went down for the 3 count. Frightmare will face Green Ant next week in the semi-finals.
Mike Quackenbush vs. Archibald Peck with Veronica: Quack controlled the whole match and won after a second QUACKENDRIVER III! Veronica berated Archie on the way to the back.
Tag Team Match
Los Ice Creams vs. The Throwbacks: The Throwbacks quickly pin Ice Cream Jr. after a GRANDSLAM DUNK!
Young lions Cup Match
Gregory Iron vs. Pinkie Sanchez: And with Sanchez as the second BDK entrant, we know the whole field. Last time these two met Sanchez won in under a minute. This time it went back and forth for a bit before Iron used a Hangman’s Kneeling Neckbreaker to secure the win, and guarantee us an all Technico Semifinal round. Gregory will face Sugar Dunkerton Next week.
Grizzly Redwood vs. Amasis: A very even and well contested match. Redwood kept connecting with THE WOOD CHIPPER until it got him the win on the third attempt.
Tag Team Match
Team FIST vs. The Batiri with The Dark Menace: Rudo vs. Rudo tag team action here. The Batiri really shaping up as a team here. They dominated FIST and Kodama pinned Taylor after a slingshot Frankensteiner. The Batiri have 2 points.
Colt Cabana vs. Tim Donst: Donst returns to face one of the men that put him on the shelf for over 2 months. The match was going very evenly when Cabana suddenly won out of nowhere following a Flying Hip Attack. Donst looked stunned.
Main Event
Claudio Castagnoli vs. Bryan Danielson: Claudio totally dominated and got the win with a RICOLA BOMB! Claudio ties Brodie Lee for the most wins in Chikara.

Card 59: August, Week 3
Mike Quackenbush vs. Daizee Haze: Quack totally dominated, putting on a clinic of big moves. He finally won with a Quackendriver.
Scott Parker vs. Icarus: After a hard fought battle, Jagged gets his first win with a go-behind back suplex. Icarus has been in quite a slump.
Young Lions Cup Match
Sugar Dunkerton vs. Gregory Iron: Both men shake hands and the fans seem to be supporting them both. Both men traded evenly and neither gained clear dominance. After failing to win with 2 straight AIR DUNKERTONs, Sugar used a piledriver for the win and advances to the finals of the Tournament!
Grizzly Redwood vs. Obariyon with The Dark Menace: After a 4th WOOD CHIPPER Grizzly Redwood put an end to Obariyon’s undefeated streak.
Young Lions Cup Match
Green Ant vs. Frightmare: Frightmare dominated with his aerial attack and won with a somersault plancha. It’s Frightmare vs. Sugar Dunkerton next week in the finals.
Tag Team Match
The Colony vs. Los Ice Creams: Before any tags were made Referee John Barber disqualified Ice Cream Junior for shoving him in response for not breaking in the corner.
Claudio Castagnoli vs. Colt Cabana: Colt put up some fight, but lost after Claudio hit a diving European uppercut! Claudio now has 30 wins.
Main Event: Non-Title Match
Sara Del Rey[C] vs. Brodie Lee: Sara looked solid, winning with a standing dropkick over the former Champion.

Bryce Remsburg: We have a strange turn of events for next week, folks. We will crown our first Young lions Cup Champion and that will be the main event. But due to that, and Grand Champion Sara Del Rey defeating top ranked Brodie Lee in a Non-Title Match, Director of Fun Dieter VonSteigerwalt has said that Sara does not have to defend the Grand Championship this month. Now the technico locker room is abuzz by this and one out spoken individual has something to say about it.
Eddie Kingston: So Sara doesn’t have to defend the Title? That’s nice… that’s just great. You BDK types have everything figured out. Control the Director of Fun, control the Championship. Meanwhile “The King of Diamonds” has yet to receive a shot at the Title. So, Sara, take the night off. Go fight in a tag match, Claudio. Eddie Kingston is going to start beating BDK members left and right till there is no other choice but to grant me a Title shot. I’m starting with you, Pinkie Sanchez. You got a win over me, good for you. Let’s see if you can do it again.

Card 60: August, Week 4
Tonight we crown a Young Lions Cup Champion!
Johnny Saint vs. El Hijo Del Ice Cream: Saint baffled the usually baffling El Hijo Del Ice Cream, but fell to a second COLD STONE STUNNER!
Dasher Hatfield vs. Archibald Peck with Veronica: Peck blew past Hatfield with two straight CRANIAL CRESCENDOs and Veronica looks happy again!
Tag Team Match
Quack ‘N’ Jig vs. Claudio Castagnoli & Ares: Ares was pinned by a second QUACKENDRIVER II before he ever tagged in Claudio!
Tursas vs. El Generico: Generico totally dominated and won with a second cradle DDT. Tursas’ days of domination seem long behind him, he now has more losses than wins.
Eddie Kingston vs. Pinkie Sanchez: 2 BACKFISTs TO THE FUTURE and a SLIDING D got Kingston the dominant win. Afterwards Tim Donst runs to the ring and hits the SDT on Kingston. He and Sanchez then execute a double clothesline and put Kingston down. Eddie Kingston is hurt for 2 cards.
Grizzly Redwood vs. Scott Parker: Redwood dominated the match, but Parker took an incredible beating. It took 6 WOOD CHIPPERs for Redwood to get the win!
Tag Team Match
The Osirian Portal vs. The Colony: The ants were dominating Ophidian when he made the hot tag. Amasis came in and pinned Fire Ant after The Move I Beat Moses With! The Osirian Portal have 2 points.
Main Event: Young Lions Cup Finals
Sugar Dunkerton vs. Frightmare: Both men shake hands and we begin this match for the Young Lions Cup. Sugar takes an early beating but comes back after a piledriver. He connects with AIR DUNKERTON to pin Frightmare and become the first Young Lions Cup Champion! Sugar really turned his fortunes around in this tournament.

Card 61: September, Week 1
Fire Ant vs. Kobald with The Dark Menace: Kobald steamrolled Fire Ant and won with a second TOP ROPE SEATED SENTON!
Jigsaw vs. Jakob Hammermeier: Jigsaw got a much needed win with the JIG ‘N’ TONIC!
Tim Donst vs. Larry Sweeney: Donst totally dominated and won by count out after throwing Sweeney from the ring.
Tag Team Match
Team 3.0 vs. Team FIST: Matthews got isolated and pinned by Taylor after a somersault suicide dive.
Mike Quackenbush vs. Archibald Peck with Veronica: Due to the match rotation Peck gets another shot against Quackenbush due to his recent wins. Peck dominated the early going and even won a big brawl on the floor. Quack came back after dodging the CRANIAL CRESCENDO and won with a Black Tornado Slam. Peck becomes the first to reach 20 loses.
Tag Team Match
The Osirian Portal vs. The Batiri with The Dark Menace: The Batiri mounted a comeback after The Dark Menace interfered in the match. Obariyon pinned Amasis after an Air Raid Crash. The Batiri have 3 points!
Claudio Castagnoli vs. El Generico: Surprisingly enough, this is the first time these two have met. The mostly traded evenly, but a second RICOLA BOMB got Claudio the dominate win!
Main Event: Non-Title Match
Grizzly Redwood vs. Sugar Dunkerton [C]: A big main event showcasing younger and newer talent. After a grueling back and forth match Redwood won with a WOOD CHIPPER to best the Young Lions Cup Champion!

Sara Del Rey Update
As your Chikara Grand Champion I feel like the Queen of the World. I have decided that from here on out I will be in action every week against all comers. The Director of Fun can decide which matches are for The Championship, but I’ll be in action every week. This week Grizzly Redwood will be my opponent. You beat the Young Lion’s Camp Champion, Redwood, can you beat the Grand Champion?
