Canadian Heavyweight Title Tournament – Round One
Austin Aries v. Tyler Black
The back and forth early on between these two competitors who know each other well is amazing. Black nails a dive to the floor but Aries turns things around later on getting the best of an exchange at ringside. Aries misses a running corner dropkick and Black takes advantage connecting with a perfect superkick followed by a PHOENIX SPLASH (3) to get the three count. (2.0)

A handshake opening things and Mask goes to work with his blistering speed. Deathjump clothesline looks great. Lynn is reeling as lighting fast kicks lands and Mask flies. Mask comes of the top with a deathjump smash but a second attempt misses and Mask crashes to the mat for a two count. Lynn needs to capitalize and hits a twisting leg drop from the apron and sets up and hits a CRADLE PILEDRIVER. Mask kicks out but Lynn stays on him with a second CRADLE PILEDRIVER to get the comeback win. (2.0)
Chris Hero v. Nigel McGuinness
An interesting match from the outset that unfolds slowly at first. It is real chest game with neither man wanting to make the first mistake. McGuinness’s holds look punishing as he grinds away at Hero. McGuinness reverses an Irish whip and Hero hits the corner hard. McGuinness charges in but Hero sidesteps sending the London native crashing into the corner. Hero rolls up McGuinness and advances in shocking fashion. Arguably three consecutive upsets to start the night off. (1.5)
Danny Hodge v. Bryan Danielson
The crowd are on their feet for both men during the introductions and the fans are anticipating something special. Danielson counters an early arm drag and unleashes a suplex arsenal followed by a Yakuza Kick that gets a 1 count. Deathjump lands and Danielson goes for the submission with CATTLE MUTILATION but Hodge is not ready to quit yet. Hodge manages to counter and goes to work. Hodge with a clothesline after sending the Dragon into the ropes. Running slingshot in the corner connects after some solid mat action. Hodge nails a deathjump clothesline and follows with choke slam. OKLAHOMA SIDE ROLL nearly ends it. Hodge goes to the top again but misses his deathjump attempt and crashes to the mat where Danielson hooks the leg for two. The countering at this point is flawless as they go back and forth, move for move. Hodge breaks out with an airplane spin followed by a Boston Crab. Danielson escapes to the floor and Hodge follows. Danielson reverses an Irish whip and Hodge goes hard into the ring post. The referee calls for the disqualification and Hodge is onto the next round. The fans hate the call and Hodge is not pleased with the result as well but the decision stands. (3.0)
Canadian Heavyweight Title Tournament – Semi – Finals
Jerry Lynn v. Tyler Black
Some great speed in the opening moments that sees Lynn score a two count after avoiding Black’s charge to the corner. Lynn keeps on Black in and out of the ring and the fans love it. Black uses his strength advantage to mount a comeback and connects with a corner clothesline. Roundhouse kick stuns Lynn and Black hits another full nelson suplex that nearly kills Lynn. Hero Sandwich follows but Hodge is able to clamp on a Hodge Headlock. The affect is devastating before Hodge transitions to a choke slam that finishes Hero. Hodge appears to be picking up his game and will face a battered Lynn in the finals. (1.0)
Backseat Boyz (Trent Acid & Johnny Kashmere) v. PG 13 (Wolfie D. & J.C. Ice)

Double bulldog to Acid and the match goes outside where D. runs Acid into the ring rails by the fans busting him open. The referee has seen enough and calls the disqualification. PG 13 lay out the Backseat Boyz after the match with hubcap smashes drawing huge heat as they leave the ring.
