ROAD SHOW AT NEW YORK CITY, BELL TIME 8:30.
PAMPERO FIRPO DEF. FONTAINE Figuring he did not have many chances against the wildman, Fontaine opened the card lacing into Firpo. The match was mostly a brawl and Firpo applied EL GARFIO after both men were tangled up in the ropes.
MR.X W, DQ GORGEOUS GEORGE (with CHERI and PAMPERO FIRPO) Spectators did not need “super-intelligence” to tell this was not the usual Mr.X. His build was more stocky, with his ring style much more refined. George was frustrated since he was expecting a tomato can, but received an “imposter”. The Gorgeous One used his spray can on Mr. X, forcing a DQ as it was clear George would like to regroup before another match with Mr. X.
DDP DEF. GREG VALENTINE These two tried to stick to the mat, but wound up brawling instead. Page launched a Deathjump once the Hammer returned to the ring. This surpise helped as the Hammer was still dizzy when he got caught in the DIAMOND CUTTER.
AMERICAN DRAGON DEF. LOU THESZ, DQ Interesting result here as both men exchanged holds but the typically level-headed Thesz was DQ'd. Thesz had locked in the STF but refused to break the hold on the five count when Dragon reached the ropes. Thesz dropped the decision here but “wanted to prove that no reversal exists from the STF and there is only one way out of it - submission.”
NO-DQ LUMBERJACK HENNIGS OVER ROAD WARRIORS This grudge match was wild as both teams have built a strong dislike for the other, with a contrast of styles: The hearty Midwestern values of the Hennigs versus the Chicago street life of the Roadies. Lumberjacks kept both teams in the ring but the Warriors amazingly had Curt down with the DOOMSDAY DEVICE. This is where things got interesting as Larry broke up the pin and things broke down in a hurry. Much confusion occurred but the match ended with on of the lumberjacks. Pampero Firpo, attacking Animal with a chair. A revived Curt Hennig then turned him over for the pin! The Road Warriors were more irate at Firpo then losing the match! Hawk was able to piece together how it happened but by the time he was able to look for Firpo, Gorgeous George and Cheri led him away with the perfume spray.
ALL WORLD TITLE DEFENSE #1, CHAMPION TED DIBIASE W, DQ RANDY SAVAGE Believe it or not, even with all the other talent and excitement this was the match of the night. Action between these two long-time rivals went back and forth with each using their finishers. It looked like Dibiase reached into his trunks for some type of help, but Savage was able to wrestle it away and slugged Dibiase with it! Referee Morgan Dollar could not allow the match to continue, but even he was left shaking his head at how quickly things went out of hand. Savage wants another crack at Dibiase and will do anything to get it!
3 ON 3 INTERPROMOTIONAL MATCH: JET SET STRUTTER, DARK INVADER AND ENORMOUS PIERRE DEF. CHAMPION BUZZSAW, LAZER AND DUDE BROHAN Each competitor had a chance in the ring, but the match slowed down when Pierre trapped CHAMPION BUZZSAW in the corner. A series of Big Headbutts weakened the champ and Dark Invader took advantage with a brutal powerslam on the concrete. Buzzsaw was vulnerable and Jet Set Strutter used his SIX FIGURE LEGLOCK to pin the champ in center ring!

NOTES: DC is next on the schedule as the Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff defends the tag-titles against the number one contenders Bobo Brazil and Jim Duggan. Can Duggan and Brazil recreate the magic in DC which they showed at Saturday Night Special? . . . Bruiser Brody and Superfly Snuka go at in a cage match for the final match there, while a battle of former champions: Buddy Rogers versus Rob Van Dam tops the undercard. . . Harley Race tangles with Marty Jannetty as a late signed match for the undercard. Bell time is 8:00 – see you there at ringside!
BILL APTER HOT SEAT WITH RANDY SAVAGE.
The normally talkative Macho Man had only a few sentences for this edition of HOT SEAT. Savage told Apter he has come a long way to get denied the ALL WORLD TITLE and has asked for a rematch with ALL WORLD CHAMPION TED DIBIASE but he wants a match with a conclusive finish - like a cage or Ladder match. He will do anything to get this match, anything. Bill Apter has promised Savage he will relay this in hopes of having a rematch with a successful conclusion. Stay tuned at ringside!

Road Show WASHINGTON DC, bell time 8:00. BRUTUS BEEFCAKE DEF. RON HUTCHINSON Beefcake made a solid return to singles matches as he used an Atomic Drop, Flying Knee Smash and the SLEEPER to beat Hutchinson.
SCOTT CASEY DEF. BILL WHITE Casey dodged an eye gouge and surprised White with a Power Slam. Casey then locked in the BULLDOG for the pin.
HARLEY RACE DEF. MARTY JANNETTY Race wasted little time to get the pin and even cracked out the FLYING HEADBUTT to add insult to injury to this aerial specialist. A VERTICAL SUPLEX led to the PILEDRIVER for the win.
HACKSAW DUGGAN AND BOBO BRAZIL DEF. IRON SHEIK AND NIKOLAI VOLKOFF TO WIN THE TITLES! Special referee Morgan Dollar meant business ejecting all ringsiders from the match. The Champions dominated Brazil early with Volkoff using a vicious stomp to soften up Bobo for the Sheik's CAMEL CLUTCH and Camel Rider. Surprisingly, this did not finish the match as Brazil psyched up for the big tag and Duggan cleaned house! A FLYING SPEAR floored the Iron Sheik for the pin and the belts before intermission!
= = = INTERMISSION = = =
BUDDY ROGERS DEF. ROB VAN DAM A battle of former champions saw Van Dam dominate much of the match but the advantage went in streaks. Rogers prevented Van Dam from entering the ring multiple times using the choke hold to his advantage. Rogers added the tag rope to knock out Van Dam for the flash pin.
SUPERFLY SNUKA OVER BRUISER BRODY IN A CAGE MATCH This cage match lived up to the hype as Brody took control early and bloodied Snuka after jumping him before the bell. Snuka held up though and used his agility to find an opening after Brody missed a charge. A small opening was all he needed as he used a SUPERFLY from the cage to escape with the win!

BILL APTER HOT SEAT WITH ALL WORLD CHAMPION TED DIBIASE
Dibiase told Apter that the answer to Savage is a plain and simple, yes. He will give Macho Man the rematch and yes the match will have a conclusive finish. However, Savage has to back up his words. Apter asked what he meant and Dibiase said that he will put up his belt with Savage in a Ladder Match but Savage will have to also put up his contract with an international meat snack company. Apter looked puzzled , but Dibiase explained “Savage can continue in his role as spokesperson, but the money he recives for these endorsements will go directly to me. So every time you see one of those corny commercials on tv, print or radio the money will go directly to me. If Savage accepts that is, if not he must go to the back of the line for a title shot. HAHAHAHAHA!” Savage raced onto the set and agreed to the title match, while also lunging at Dibiase. Fortunately for Dibiase, security was standing by and prevented further escalation. The big match is signed: FIREWORKS SUMMER CLASH AT WHITE SOX PARK, BELL TIME 6PM - LADDER MATCH: ALL WORLD CHAMPION TED DIBIASE VS. RANDY SAVAGE!
Dibiase put his title on the line while Savage put up his advertising contract with an international meat snack product. Savage would still do the ads but the ever -greedy Dibiase would get the money! Before we get to this big event, Pro Wrestling America hits a double-shot weekend with events in Denver and Cleveland: The Mile High City has the Road Warriors facing newly found enemies Pampero Firpo and Gorgeous George. Ladies Champion Shann Ra defends against Malia. Two special feature matches see Bruiser Brody face Rob Van Dam and former champion Buddy Rogers faces Superfly Snuka. . .
Ohio gets invaded with a special six-man challenge match as World Champion Ted Dibiase teams with former tag-team champions, sometime allies Nikolai Volkoff and Iron Sheik to face the team of Randy Savage with newly crowned tag-champions Hacksaw Duggan and Bobo Brazil. Savage says he will do anything to get his hands on Ted Dibiase including participating in a rare tag-team match. Other matches in the lineup has Harley Race facing DDP and Lou Thesz gives the American Dragon a rematch. Cleveland also hosts the Pro Wrestling America debut of Michael Elgin!

ROAD SHOW IN CLEVELAND , BELL TIME 2PM MICHAEL ELGIN DEF. FONTAINE Elgin’s debut showcased his power here using a stalling vertical suplex to setup a deadlift power bomb. Fontaine fell victim to the SPINNING SITOUT POWERBOMB.
DR. X DEF. MR. X Battle of masked men as the newer X used a backbreaker to setup the FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK. The newer masked man clearly outclassed Mr. X as Gorgeous George watched intensely from the walkway near the locker room.
BRUTUS BEEFCAKE DEF. SCOTT CASEY Beefcake continues his return to singles with a big win here. An atomic drop led to a body rattling backbreaker. Beefcake finished the match with the SLEEPER.
REMATCH: LOU THESZ OVER AMERICAN DRAGON Thesz was on point here and pulled out all the stops. Every time Dragon tried to gain an advantage, Thesz countered with dropkicks. A GRECO ROMAN BACKDROP led to a THESZ PRESS for the win. Thesz is working his way back into the title picture.
HARLEY RACE DEF. DDP Race and Page fought a spirited match which kept spilling out to the floor. One particular exchange had the referee in an uproar to keep things inside. Race obliged and used his PILEDRIVER to get into the win column.
ELIMINATION MATCH: WORLD CHAMPION TED DIBIASE WITH NIKOLAI VOLKOFF AND IRON SHEIK VS. TAG CHAMPIONS HACKSAW DUGGAN AND BOBO BRAZIL WITH RANDY SAVAGE
Eliminations: Savage was DQ’d for choking Dibiase Duggan pinned Dibiase with the FLYING SPEAR Sheik pinned Duggan following a vertical suplex Brazil pinned Sheik with a series of COCO BUTTS Volkoff used a BACKBREAKER DROP on Brazil as the sole survivor!

ROAD SHOW IN DENVER, BELL TIME 8PM RON HUTCHINSON AND BILL WHITE OVER THE HENNIGS, DQ Upset special as the Hennigs were irate that they have beaten teams like the Road Warriors and have not received title consideration. Curt and Larry have decided to use this match to make a statement to “fight fire with fire” They did and took the fight to Bill White, using excessive double-teams to get DQ'd. Hmmm, interesting tactic to make a statement here.
MARTY JANNETTY DEF. GREG VALENTINE, DQ Valentine used a Rope Pounce to stun Jannetty but kept choking him against the ropes ignoring the referee’s five count. Second DQ decision in Denver.
MALIA HOSAKA DEF. LADIES CHAMP SHANN RA, DQ Due to the previous DQ's, ref Morgan Dollar read the ladies the riot act before the match, focusing on Shann Ra’s tendency for rough stuff. He took no guff, warning the champion early on. Dollar called for the bell after Shann Ra slammed Hosaka into a ring post.
BRUISER BRODY DEF. ROB VAN DAM, DQ The fourth straight DQ, which surprisingly came from Van Dam. Brody and RVD had a wild hardcore brawl which saw RVD use Brody’s chain. Will a clean decision occur tonight in the Mile High City?
BUDDY ROGERS DEF. SUPERFLY SNUKA Mentor faced Protege here and this match did not disappoint. Snuka used his agility to keep Rogers at bay with leap frogs and chops while Rogers hung tough with his usual shrewd tactics. Rogers reversed a headlock and hit Snuka with a running tackle that knocked the wind from the Superfly. Rogers wrapped in the FIGURE FOUR GRAPEVINE for the win on this awesome bout (and first decisive finish of the night).
GRUDGE TAG MATCH: ROAD WARRIORS DEF. BEAUTY AND BEAST (GORGEOUS GEORGE AND PAMPERO FIRPO) Mike Lano was at ringside catching photos of the action. The Road Warriors were looking for revenge on Firpo and George’s interference which cost them a Lumberjack Match against the Hennigs. Wild match as expecte as Lano got in the way here as his distraction actually helped the Roadies. A Double Clothesline and DOOMSDAY DEVICE floored Firpo for the pin.

FIREWORKS SUMMER CLASH AT CHICAGO WHITE SOX PARK Special two-hour broadcast for the national broadcast debut on WGN`s Tuesday Night Thunder
Greg Valentine over Scott Casey, COR. First TNT match was matter of fact as Casey was almost counted out early in the bout.Casey charged the turnbuckle, Valentine moved and Casey fell to the infield. This time he could not return by the 10-count.
Bruiser Brody over DDP Brody was dominant using his power on Page. He surprised Dallas with a one-handed slam and used the piledriver for the pinfall.
HOT SEAT WITH BILL APTER: Beauty and Beast (Gorgeous George and Pampero Firpo with Cherie). Apter began the segment that George has demanded air time after getting rooked by one Mr. X and facing another. Apter even acknowledged that the Mr.X that beat George by COR was actually Dr. X and that was due to a scheduling snafu. George was irate at this fact and “demanded a match with Dr. X right here, right now.”
Gorgeous George def. Dr. X. George did not wait for the bell and jumped the masked man. He applied the pressure and while George tried pulling the mask off a couple of times, he stuck to his game plan to get his win back. George used multiple ROLLING HIPLOCKS to soften up the masked man for the win. Firpo and George tried pulling the mask off again but this time another masked man helped Dr. X to the locker room. Somehow you can tell this rivalry is not over.
Brutus Beefcake def. Marty Jannetty This match was very similar to the Casey-Valentine opener but Beefcake used his power to keep Jannetty grounded. Marty had a brief comeback but it was over once he charged Beefcake but missed, falling through the ropes for a count out loss to close the first hour.
Four-Team Elimination Tag-Team Title Match The second hour began with a lengthy intro for all competitors adding to the big-event feel. Champions Hacksaw Duggan and Bobo Brazil versus Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff vs. Road Warriors vs. Hennigs. Order of Elimination:
1. The Road Warriors came out firing and waffled Curt Hennig with the DOOMSDAY DEVICE. Larry was unaware as it happened so fast and Animal had the pin. 2. Animal continued his dominance after a commercial but this time using a couple of Double Clotheslines to stagger Nikolai Volkoff. The Big Russian never tagged in and after two Flying Shoulder Rams Volkoff was done. 3. The last fall was a doozy and again the Road Warriors did not allow tag-title co-holder Duggan to tag out, keeping him in the wrong corner. Duggan finally tagged after getting busted open and Brazil could not get much traction on the Chicago tough guys. Brazil made another tag but Duggan walked into a Double Clothesline which floored him. Animal used a POWER SLAM to pin Duggan and regain the titles. Road Warriors are the new ALL WORLD CHAMPIONS!
A recap segment captured the post match celebration and replayed each fall. The inaugural broadcast ended, reminding that the next episode will have encore highlights of the first episode, plus highlights of the other matches in Chicago.

HIGHLIGHTS from the non-televised portion from the FIREWORKS SUMMER CLASH FROM WHITE SOX PARK
Superfly Snuka def. Rob Van Dam Tremendous battle between these two aerial warriors with no man getting an early advantage. Snuka used chops to stagger Rob Van Dam after nearly getting pinned himself. A vicious Knee Drop setup for the SUPERFLY LEAP and a Snuka win.
SLAM CHALLENGE: DUDE BROHAN vs. ENORMOUS PIERRE The cash was on the line as the first person to body slam their opponent would win the money (first one to roll body slam 3X or get a PIN would end the bout). Pierre’s size overwhelmed the Dude using a DOUBLE CHUG BEARHUG to weaken the beachcomber and get the slam!
8MW TITLE MATCH with Lazer as Special Referee. Champion Buzzsaw vs. Jet Set Strutter. Both champion and challenger had their moments with Buzzsaw using his power. Lazer kept his cool as he took verbal berating from Jet Set. However, this may have cost Strutter the title as he rammed the champion’s head into the announcer table. He tried a second time but Lazer was not so forgiving and called for the DQ. Strutter was upset but Lazer and Buzzsaw both got in the face to stop any further troubles.
NO-DQ LOU THESZ VS. AMERICAN DRAGON Thesz took control early and was looking for a win. Danielson fought bravely but after a first THESZ PRESS was too close to ropes for a pin attempt, a second press got the win for Thesz. After the match, Thesz and his young protege Tim Donst challenged Danielson to get a partner. Adam Cole rushed to the side of the Dragon to accept a future 2-on-2 match.
TOP CONTENDERS MATCH: HARLEY RACE VS. BUDDY ROGERS (WITH MIKE LANO) Race took control of this high-stakes match using his assortment of suplexes to keep the Nature Boy from getting into a groove. Rogers was too shrewd to keep reeling and rallied back with a series of dropkicks and a devastating piledriver! The FIGURE FOUR GRAPEVINE notched the hard fought pinfall for the Nature Boy.
LADDER MATCH FOR ALL WORLD TITLE CHAMPION TED DIBIASE VS. RANDY SAVAGE. Dibiase puts his title on the line, while Savage puts up money earned from his advertising contract! A true classic in every sense. Each man used the ladder creatively, launching their attacks or smashing, whipping into or choking with the hardware. They each scaled the ladder with Dibiase knocking down the satchel with the title belt and contract. A mad scramble ensued and while some thought Savage grabbed it first it was Dibiase who wound up with sole possession!! The fans booed but that did not deter Dibiase from celebrating while Mike Lano and Bill Apter snapped pictures. Awesome ending to an awesome match!
