TWF at Philadelphia TWF returns to action for its first card after King of the Hill. Here we go . . .
SUPERFLY SNUKA def. RON HUTCHINSON A missed dropkick by Hutchinson, led Snuka to pounce with a vicious backbreaker for the win.
BRUISER BRODY W/ SNUKA def. ROAD WARRIOR HAWK W/ANIMAL, DQ Wild match between these two wild men. Brody lined up Hawk with the JUMPING KNEE DROP but Animal broke the count. All four men got involved with Animal smacking Brody on the back with a title belt for the DQ.
ALL WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH Championship Wrestler Cup winner BUDDY ROGERS def. TWF Champion RANDY SAVAGE to win the title. Both men had early pin attempts but Rogers surprised all with a top rope deathjump for the pin and title. Rogers is back in the limelight with the ALL-WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP.
INTERMISSION BILL APTER of the Wrestling News interviewed new ALL WORLD CHAMPION Buddy Rogers. Rogers had the new ALL WORLD TITLE BELT and his recent WRESTLER OF THE YEAR AWARD TROPHY and the Championship Wrestling Cup in tow. Rogers said the proof is in the pudding with all the hardware and the sky is the limit for the Nature Boy. The TWF roster has plenty of lessons to learn as he has forgotten more holds than most of these so-called wrestlers have ever know. Apter was impressed at his recent return to TWF rings and also said the working agreement with Mike Lano would ensure video documentation of his title run.
ROCK RIDDLE def. SCOTT CASEY Riddle was dominant as he used two flying elbow drops to weaken Casey and clinched the win with a BOSTON CRAB.
EIGHT-MAN ELIMINATION TAG-TEAM MATCH ROB VAN DAM, DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE, HACKSAW DUGGAN AND BOBO BRAZIL VS. TED DIBIASE, IRON SHEIK, NIKOLAI VOLKOFF AND PAMPERO FIRPO
Awesome main event with plenty of action. Iron Sheik eliminated DDP with a CAMEL CLUTCH but DDP was saved twice once after a DIBIASE COBRA CLUTCH and a VOLKOFF BACKBREAKER DROP.
Rob Van Dam def. Ted Dibiase, COR. After Van Dam hit a senton outside the ring, with Dibiase walking out of the match claiming “he refuses to get injured like this with a guaranteed title shot in my pocket.”
Hacksaw Duggan DDQ Iron Sheik. These two rivals could not keep it legal as a pin save led to a total breakdown: 2X4's, Flag Poles and partners all involved. The ref threw both out of the match.
Pampero Firpo def. Rob Van Dam Firpo surprised Van Dam and used 2 backbreakers which Brazil broke up a pin for. Firpo used EL GARFIO to pin Van Dam, leaving a 2-1 situation (Firpo and Volkoff vs. Brazil).
Bobo Brazil def. Nikolai Volkoff Brazil hit the match hard and fast like a freight train, using the COCO BUTT to pin Volkoff.
Firpo def. Brazil Brazil's fire was short-lived as Firpo blindsided Bobo using EL GARFIO to win the match as the sole survivor.
Pampero Firpo was the sole survivor in the Winner's Circle.

SPECIAL UPDATE – Bill Apter was backstage on the TWF mobile set with Bobby Heenan. Apter began the segment stating “That during the King of The Hill he witnessed one of the most underhanded acts committed in a wrestling ring for quite some time.”
Bobby Heenan shook his head in agreement and added “For once I agree with you and that yellow journalism of yours, that Lou Thesz is a liar, a cheat and a thief. He had no business tossing Lou Albano from the blind-side and cannot imagine what he would have done if Dibiase didn't prote---err intervene. A total, blatant, cheap shot if I ever saw one!”
Bill Apter stopped this rant and asserted that he was speaking about YOU, Bobby Heenan! The Brain was dumbfounded and Apter continued “As the Editor-In-Chief of the Wrestling News I am trying to get to the bottom of the biggest question from the fans, Did Bobby Heenan sell #25 to Ted Dibiase, allowing Ted Dibiase to win enter the King of the Hill match last and win?” Apter pointed to the fact that Dibiase signaled a payout to Heenan as one of the last three men in the ring. Apter also mentioned that many ringsiders, including himself heard Dibiase say "I will offer twice the money.”
Heenan responded that you or any of the humanoids have ZERO proof and any windfall is a combination of profits from BrainCap and other investments. Apter closed the segment to announce that next week he will have both Heenan, Albano and Dibiase as guests in this segment to get the story straight for the fans. Stay tuned from ringside!

Mania Wrestling at Las Vegas Sports Pavilion ACE ACRADIUM def. TENNIS PRO A quick finish as Ace started strong using GAME OVER and lambasted the combative, yet distracted tennis champ.
BUG BUSTER def. KEITH BLOOD The unorthodox, persistent Buster kept Blood guessing early on. This persistent approach led to four EXTERMINATORS which wore down Blood for the pin.
INTER-PROMOTION TAG TEAM MATCH WARHAWK & DANGERZONE (w/ HACKSAW DUGGAN) def. IRON SHEIK, NIKOLAI VOLKOFF (w/ COBALT COMMANDER), DQ. The heat on this match was simmering as Duggan and Cobalt stirred the pot, while the in-ring antics kept the tensions to a fever pitch. DANGERZONE was worn down by Sheik and Volkoff's teamwork but WARHAWK tagged in and rallied his team back into the match. However, when Dangerzone tagged back in Volkoff used a BACKBREAKER DROP and a vicious Russian Stomp to setup the Iron Sheik's CAMEL CLUTCH. Warhawk made the save but all hell broke loose as the match went to the floor. Sheik hit Dangerzone with a flag pole, causing the DQ.
===INTERMISSION===
ENOURMOUS PIERRE def. RED PIRATE ROGERS A HEADBUTT and a GINORMOUS DROP finished off the over-matched swashbuckler.
DUDE BROHAN def. PELVIS PRESSLY The dude toyed with the Southern rocker using a big boot and BIG BRO LEG DROP for the win.
MAIN EVENT TAG TEAM CHALLENGE MATCH JET SET STRUTTER & DARK INVADER def. LAZER & MANIA CHAMPION BUZZSAW, COR The strutter really started to showboat to nullify the advantage in muscles. This unique approach frustrated the brothers in paint and Invader used his power to stun Buzzsaw. A CORRUPTOR left the champion vulnerable and Strutter used a piledriver on the floor, to keep the champion away as Buzzsaw could not return by the 10-count.
NOTES: SuperBrawl is approaching and looks like an inter-promotional card between TWF and Mania wrestling is shaping up. Promoters promise to sign some unique, dream match-ups for this years edition. Stay tuned as the next Mania Wrestling event is from Seattle. Headlining this event is a 15-man battle royal, plus Buzzsaw defends the gold against Jet Set Strutter! More matches will get announced but Seattle is the last stop for Mania wrestling before SuperBrawl. The TWF still has a few events before the big supercard.

SPECIAL UPDATE: Bill Apter's Hot Seat was from the TWF studios and featured Bobby Heenan, Lou Albano and Ted Dibiase to straighten out the controversy from King of the Hill. Albano has stated that Heenan did little to help him during the match, while Heenan claims he was powerless to do anything as he was viciously attacked. Allegations that Heenan took a payoff from Dibiase to surrender #25 along with another payoff to eliminate himself at the end of the matchare also unsettled. Many ringsiders claimed to hear Dibiase ask Heenan to "take the money." Additionally, the joint Albano-Heenan BrainCap venture is rocky to say the least as The Brain has flaunted some extra cash from "outside investments."
Here is a summary of this discussion: Apter: "Welcome to Hot Seat, there are a few topics today we would like to square away as rumors are rampant and we will address them in sequence - 1) Status of the BrainCap partnership due to events occuring in the King of the Hill 2) Comments on the video and audio from this match. Where it looked and sounded like Ted Dibiase offered money to Heenan to eliminate himself from King of the Hill along with the question if Dibiase bought #25 3) Explanation on how Heenan received such a windfall, while Albano who had equal shares of Brain Cap, did not receive such monetary rewards.
Albano: "I will cut to the chase - I can tell you that the BrainCap partnership is over. Heenan hid on the mat while Lou Thesz nailed me from behind and threw me over. Plus days after King of the Hill I received a quarterly residual check for a total of $36.21!! Heenan is a crook and has bragged about his international investments and some such while I provided the raw materials for Brain Cap. He claims to have produced the commercials but the entire staff for the production was from local community college. He weaseled his way to pay $50 for this production while having that team sign a waiver. What he does not know is that all these facts were verified with my attorney and a detective we hired. Heenan is a con artist."
Heenan: "That is all heresay. One, my quarterly residuals were officially $26.48, as my expenses offset my earnings. (Bobby whipped out a check and statement as proof). Furthermore, Albano knows the risk of this venture as we likely not see profits until Q3 of this year. He is jumping the gun. Additionally, he is attacking my investment opportunities but my stake in a large German conglomoration are paying off as the company had a banner year. I recently flew to Dusseldorf for a major stockholders meeting, and am just recouping my original investment. This is a private matter. So yes, will acknowledge that this BrainCap venture is officially dissolved as I cannot do business without a partner I can trust."
Apter: "What about King of The Hill? Care to comment on this video (clips are played in real-time and slow-motion, where you can clearly see and hear Dibiase offer him twice the money. Heenan covered his tracks quickly saying "Yes the secret is out, Dibiase offered me cash for my shares in this German investment as he heard about what a great payout I received!"
Apter: "If true, we also have documented proof of two large deposits. One made directly after the King of Hill for $20,000. So even if this was for German investments there was another deposit for over $100,000 coinciding with a quarterly dividend. While we do not have proof of the source, this looks like a likely source of profits as it was released the same time as these quarterly residual checks.
Heenan: "Pure coincidence as BrainCap and thousands of other companies engage in such activity during that time. This proves nothing and this interview is over. Any further discussion is through my attorneys as I refuse to have my name slandered like this."
Albano: "Heenan before you go, TWF officials have given two choices: 1) You settle the money you owe me or 2) A ladder match at SuperBrawl where my share of these profits are on the line."
Apter : This is an accurate statement as TWF officials have ordered this option, rather than have this played out on a weekly basis. The only way you can back out is to accept a settlement."
Heenan stormed off and was yelling and screaming. The only coherent words were "Speak to my attorneys."
Looks like the first SuperBrawl match is signed!

TWF at Minneapolis
BIG BILL WHITE DEF. MARTY JANNETTY The big man dominated the smaller rocker, using a Russian Leg Sweep, RUNNING POWER SLAM and Atomic Drop for the pin.
SCOTT CASEY DEF. ROCK RIDDLE This was a rematch after the cowboy dropped a decision to Mr. Hollywood. Even match and Casey took the lead after a wild ringside brawl. A BULLDOG got Casey his win back.
8-MAN ELIMINATION MATCH LOU THESZ, HARLEY RACE, DESTROYER AND TIM DONST VS. HENNIGS, GORGEOUS GEORGE AND BOBBY HEENAN Race DEF. Curt Hennig DQ, Curt shoved the referee through the ropes when asked to break a hold.
Larry Hennig DEF. Lou Thesz. The Axe took control after fall one but George helped with a trip when Thesz got back into the match. The Axe used a chinlock and pummel to wipe out the depleted Thesz.
Gorgeous George DEF. Destroyer. The Human Orchid continued stirring up trouble and this time his valet interfered leading to a direct pinfall on the masked man.
Harley Race DEF. Larry Hennig, DQ. The Axe was DQ'd for choking Race with a tag rope. Race won the decision but was left vulnerable to ROLLING HIPLOCKS from Gorgeous George; who capitalized on this to win the next fall.
Bobby Heenan DEF. Tim Donst after a FOREIGN OBJECT. George and Heenan worked over the former amateur champ but win Donst made the comeback, Heenan pulled an object from his trunks and slugged him!
WINNERS CIRCLE: Gorgeous George and Bobby Heenan
INTERMISSION PAMPERO FIRPO DEF. RON HUTCHINSON Firpo started strong and fast, clamping on EL GARFIO for the win in seconds!
RANDY SAVAGE DEF. ROB VAN DAM Van Dam downed Savage in the Champion Wrestler tournament and now these two former champions faced off in a rematch. Savage controlled the match but needed THREE FLYING ELBOWS to keep RVD on the mat. Savage evened this mini-series at 1-1, a rubber match is signed for SUPERBRAWL!
ALL WORLD TAG-TEAM TITLE MATCH ROAD WARRIORS (CHAMPIONS) DEF. BRUISER BRODY AND SUPERFLY SNUKA The Road Warriors rushed the ring and began the brawl between these two rival teams interrupting the ring introductions. Referee Morgan Dollar did issue stern warnings but it did not matter much as the champions were on point in this match, using their teamwork and instincts to keep Brody and Snuka at bay. The Road Warriors did use the DOOMSDAY DEVICE multiple times as Snuka saved Brody from a near pinfall, but the second time was the charm as Animal pinned Brody to win the match.
Brody and Snuka argued after the match and neither one backed down. It was clear Brody was upset that Snuka "did not have his back" in this big match. They almost came to blows here, but the Warriors celebration distracted the duo and Brody stormed to the back with his chain. Snuka remained at ringside, looking puzzled. Interesting development....

Results of SUPERBRAWL at the SILVERDOME: Over 60,0000 wrestle-maniacs attended for the largest crowd in TWF history. Rock 'N Wrestle Marty Jannetty def. Pelvis Pressly, DQ. Pressly got into trouble and choked Jannetty with his guitar. The ref had enough of these antics and awarded the bout to Jannetty.
Beauty and Beast Gorgeous George over Pampero Firpo, DQ SuperBrawl started with two DQ decisions as Firpo could not contain himself as the referee stopped the match due to a chair attack.
Lou Thesz over Destroyer This potential mat classic took over 30 seconds for both to lock up. Once they did, Thesz wrapped up the match in two moves a short-arm scissors for a near-pin immediately followed by the THESZ PRESS for the pinfall! Thesz was extra sharp in this match.
Inter-promotional Six Man Tag Match Cobalt Commander, Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff def. Hacksaw Duggan, Warhawk and Dangerzone, DQ. The ring announcer bailed before all the introductions as the brawl started one these opponents caught sight of each other. Wild action in this emotionally charged match as the All-American team of Duggan, Warhawk and Dangerzone used quick tags to control the action. However, like many times before Duggan's temper go the better of him with this match no exception. Tiring of the anti-American rants and unsportsmanlike actions from the other team, Duggan grabbed his trusty 2X4 and chased them off the ring. Leading his team and the crowd in chants of USA, USA! While taking the technical loss, it was clearly a moral victory for Duggan's squad!

Diamonds and Gold DDP over Jet Set Strutter[/b] Former International Champion Strutter isolated DDP on one side of the ring, trying to setup the SIX FIGURE LEGLOCK. DDP everyone and hit the Diamond Cutter after getting hauled up for a brainbuster. DDP hit another CUTTER for good measure and notched the upset win!
All-World Tag-Team Titles, Clash of Champions – One Time Only! Champions Road Warriors – Hawk and Animal vs. The Blade Blasters - Mania Champion, BuzzSaw and former Mania Champion Lazer. Morgan Dollar issued warnings to both teams and told them he would call this by the book for this special one-time only match. In a role reversal, Lazer took the action to Hawk and controlled the action early. Lazer hit a diving splash and clamped the LAZERLOCK on Hawk for the win! The dome crowd erupted for this surprise title change.
Battle of the Heartland Harley Race over Bobo Brazil Race and Brazil fought the match of the evening in terms of pace and in-ring action. This battle of the heartland was back and forth throughout with plenty of near falls, drama and high impact moves. Bobo caught Race flying in with an incredible backbreaker for 2.9 count. Match went back and forth with Brazil using body slams and the COCO BUTT for a 4 different 2 counts. Race was not outdone and used his arsenal of suplexes for 3 different near falls. Brazil also twice escaped the Indian Death Lock by reaching the ropes but struggled each time, pushing and wriggling into a position of escape. The match ended when Race moved away from a charge and launched a PILEDRIVER for the win in this hard-fought match. The fans gave each a standing ovation.
Former Partners Grudge Match , Morgan Dollar referee Bruiser Brody over Superfly Snuka[/b]
Morgan Dollar let these two partners go at it but Brody still controlled most of the match. Brody wore down Snuka and almost captured a fall when he caught Snuka in the air with a vicious backbreaker. Brody dialed up the pressure from there and while Snuka bravely fought back, Brody got the better of a scuffle at ringside. A one-hand body slam brought Snuka back into the ring and two FLYING KNEE DROPS ended it.

Dream Tag-Team Match The Hennigs def. The Dream Team, Greg Valentine and Brutus Beefcake Even match but blood was thicker than water as Ax kept things off balance while Curt recuperated from a near fall. Brutus slung Curt into the buckles, but the younger Hennig sidestepped him and used a running knee lift to win this third and final tag-match of the night.
Two Former TWF Champions engage in Aerial Warfare: Macho Man Randy Savage over Rob Van Dam The battle of two former TWF Champions was next and it promised plenty of Aerial Daredevil moves to keep the fans at the edge of their seats. Savage controlled early and hit the flying ax handle to the floor after tossing Van Dam out of the ring. Macho Man hit the FLYING ELBOW SMASH but Van Dam miraculously kicked out! A vaulting neck snap and a neck-breaker clothesline finally kept Van Dam down for the count.
$50,000 Titanic Gladiator Challenge Dude Brohan with Lou Albano versus Enormous Pierre with Bobby Heenan[/b] High-stakes match with the $50,000 up for grabs here. Dude promised to return the money and Pierre says he already has big plans for his share when he “wins one for the Brain.” Morgan Dollar enforced the rules for this match and ejected all people from ringside. Heenan and Albano were both escorted from ringside by Silverdome security and were forced to watch the outcome in a secure broadcast booth as their reactions were broadcast on the jumbotron for all to see.
Dude absorbed some early punishment but rallied to use two body slams for near falls. He quickly followed with a series of elbow drops to setup a running clothesline and the BIG BRO LEG DROP. That combo sealed the deal for the Dude! All-World Title Match: Champion Buddy Rogers vs. King of Hill Ted Dibiase. Morgan Dollar appeared worn out from all the high stakes and was clearly intimidated by both members of this heel-heel matchup. This Intimation was a huge factor as Dibiase controlled the action but could not put away Rogers after a power slam and COBRA CLUTCH.
But like so many money matches, the match was decided by a turn of events. In this case, Morgan Dollar let the two brawl it out at ringside without so much as a warning. Chairs were used and heads were slammed into tables while Dollar just observed from inside the ring. Dr. Mike Lano even saved Rogers from a beating at ringside by offering Buddy his camera as a weapon. Once back in Dibiase rallied but Rogers moved from a turnbuckle charge and locked in the FIGURE FOUR GRAPEVINE to retain the gold. A controversial decision with Lano's interference and Dollar barely enforcing the rules.
