It sounds like DiBiase came close against Rogers. I'm really liking DiBiase's color card.

It sounds like DiBiase came close against Rogers. I'm really liking DiBiase's color card. Yeah, Dibiase came pretty close and like the color version of his card as well. May schedule a rematch and have an idea on the stipulations. Stay tuned.

Pro Wrestling America TV at Toledo, OH Two SUPERBRAWL rematches are on tap for this edition plus a SUPERBRAWL Recap segment.
TED DIBIASE DEF. RON HUTCHINSON Dibiase was fired up from his loss to All World Champion Buddy Rogers at SUPERBRAWL as he went at Hutchinson without any ring introductions. Hutchinson did his best to keep up but a missed turnbuckle charge led to an easy Dibiase roll-up for the pin.
SUPERBRAWL REMATCH 1: PAMPERO FIRPO W, DQ - GORGEOUS GEORGE (with CHERI DUPRE). Tensions were high between the Beauty and the Beast with the action spilling to the floor, but this time roles were reversed from SUPERBRAWL with George disqualified for spraying “the animal Firpo” with perfume. Surprisingly, Firpo seemed to enjoy the scent and flavor of the spray!
SUPERBRAWL REMATCH 2: BOBO BRAZIL W, DQ – HARLEY RACE. Wild brawl between these two which spilled to the floor. Race went to the rough stuff early using a chair to defend himself against a series of COCO BUTTS. The referee was left with little choice to award the decision to Bobo since Race used a weapon.
SUPERBRAWL RECAP and HIGHLIGHTS PACKAGE with BILL APTER. Apter replayed the tag-team title change and was notified that the BUZZSAW of the BLADE-BLASTERS is a dual champion as he also holds the 80s MANIA CHAMPIONSHIP. Apter mentioned that the by-laws of 80sMANIA WRESTLING prohibits dual title holders with a decision on those titles made before the next episode of PRO WRESTLING AMERICA.
DARK MATCH: ROB VAN DAM DEF. DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE It was RVD vs. DDP in a battle of two fan favorites. Each man escaped a near fall with DDP using a Discus Clothesline to stun RVD and Van Dam used a moonsault variation to get a 2-count on DDP. RVD continued the pressure using the FIVE STAR FROG SPLASH to gain the 3-count. RVD helped DDP to his feet and each man shook hands, albeit wearily.

I've got to say the perfume liking of Firpo is funny stuff, plus your Superbrawl recap & highlight segment is a great touch...

Thanks Crimson for the comments and for following. I try to capture the feel of those vintage feds from the 80s. I have plans for Firpo as he has turned into one of my favorite cards. I was excited when he was coming to LOW but he has exceeded expectations by miles.

MORE PRO WRESTLING AMERICA TV from TOLEDO, OH FORMER ALL WORLD CHAMPIONS THE ROAD WARRIORS DEMOLISHED SCOTT CASEY AND FONTAINE. Hawk and Animal stormed the ring and tossed around both men. ANIMAL pinned FONTAINE after a scoop slam then POWER SLAM sequence. HAWK kept bellowing that they wanted the #1 seed in the upcoming 10-team tag-title tournament!
MACHO MAN RANDY SAVAGE DEF. PAMPERO FIRPO The Macho Man and the Wild Man picked up their rivalry again in this special TV match. Gorgeous George scouted both men from ringside with Cheri spraying the perfume again. Firpo was smiling with the smell of the fragrance and with Savage taking advantage of this opening to launch a neck snap across the rope. Macho Man finished Firpo with the Piledriver. Oddly, Firpo was not upset that he lost!
BOBO BRAZIL DEF. LOU THESZ Another special challenge TV match which saw the original TWF Champion Brazil dominate the St. Louis master of the mat. A GRINDING HAMMERLOCK almost sealed it for BOBO but BRAZIL kept the pressure on with a series of COCO BUTTS for the win!
BILL APTER announced the seedings and first round matches for the upcoming tag-title tournament in Hartford. The ROAD WARRIORS earned a bye to the semi-finals due to their standing as previous champions. Three other teams received byes to the semi-finals: The Hennigs, Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff along with the Dream Team (Valentine & Beefcake). The first round matches are: DDP & MARTY JANNETTY -VS- HARLEY RACE & BILL WHITE SUPERS: SUPERFLY SNUKA & SUPER INTELLIGENT DESTROYER -VS- RVD & BRYAN DANIELSON HACKSAW DUGGAN & BOBO BRAZIL -VS- wrestling's odd couple the BEAUTY & BEAST (GEORGE & FIRPO).
Additionally, two bonus matches for the fans in HARTFORD: CHAIN MATCH: SCOTT CASEY VS. ROCK RIDDLE ONE-TIME ONLY: RANDY SAVAGE VS. BRUISER BRODY!
The return from commercial saw BILL APTER provide more SUPERBRAWL clips and announced that another prime-time SATURDAY NIGHT SPECIAL is on the way. Action will emanate from COLUMBUS OHIO with the first match signed: BUDDY ROGERS defends the ALL WORLD TITLE against TED DIBIASE in a SUPERBRAWL rematch. This time with a special stipulation: ROGERS must use the FIGURE FOUR GRAPEVINE to win, while DIBIASE must use his finisher the COBRA CLUTCH. Morgan Dollar is the assigned official and this match MUST have a winner!
MARTY JANNETTY DEF. BILL WHITE, COR. This match closed the broadcast as Jannetty used his speed and agility to keep White reeling. A dropkick surprised White and landed a 2.5 count. This setup the ROCKER DROPPER nicely but White landed close enough to the ropes and pulled himself outside the ring. White ended up taking the count-out loss as he was in a dazed and confused state.
ARENA MATCHES: TAPED FIST: BOBBY HEENAN DEF. LOU ALBANO - REFEREE STOPPAGE The feud is settled between these two former business associates. Albano was bloodied up a little but some ringsiders complained they have seen less dancing around on an episode of SOUL TRAIN. PWA officials likely agreed and called an end to this snoozer.
SIX MAN SUPERBRAWL REMATCH: HACKSAW DUGGAN, WARHAWK AND DANGER ZONE DEF. IRON SHIEK, NIKOLAI VOLKOFF AND COBALT COMMANDER. Morgan Dollar was the referee assigned to enforce the rules and keep things in the ring, unlike the match at SUPERBRAWL. While not a scientific encounter, this up-tempo bout kept the fans involved and surprisingly the DUGGAN's team displayed several degrees more teamwork than the trio of foreign menaces. WARHAWK used a DOUBLE KNEEDROP on Volkoff to wrap the evening up.

ALL WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE TOURNAMENT at HARTFORD, CT OPENING ROUND (HENNIGS, DREAM TEAM AND SHEIK AND VOLKOFF RECEIVE BYES)
DDP & MARTY JANNETTY DEF. HARLEY RACE AND BILL WHITE DDP ducked a Race punch and hit the DIAMOND CUTTER for the surprise win!
RVD & DANIEL BRYAN DEF. SUPERS: SNUKA AND DESTROYER RVD & Bryan displayed good team work and used quick tags to gain the advantage. Byran used a TRIANGLE CHOKE on Snuka which led to a big tag to RVD who hit the FIVE STAR SPLASH and body scissors cradle to advance to the quarterfinals.
BEAUTY & BEAST DEF. HACKSAW DUGGAN AND BOBO BRAZIL Gorgeous George and Cheri convinced Pampero Firpo to team in this tournament. They made a formidable team which saw George pin Duggan after a SPINNING TOEHOLD. George tagged in after Firpo hit EL GARFIO.
QUARTERFINALS (ROAD WARRIORS BYE TO SEMIFINALS) THE HENNIGS DEF. DDP & MARTY JANNETTY The Hennigs size and skill were too much for this team as they kept both Jannetty and Page in the opposite corner at times. Page's frustration was coming through because after saving Jannetty from a sure fall after a HENNIG PLEX he refused to leave the ring. The referee called for the DQ, letting the father-son duo to advance.
BEEFCAKE AND VALENTINE DEF. RVD & D.BRYAN Valentine took control in this match and focused on Bryan's leg early on. This slowed down the high flying duo, with Valentine using his trademark style to work over Byran. The second of two falling elbows pinned Bryan.
IRON SHEIK AND VOLKOFF DEF. BEAUTY AND BEAST This unique match was wild from the get-go! All four men engaged in brawls as George's control on Firpo was not helping the cause. Firpo and Sheik engaged in a ringside scuffle where Sheik used Cheri's atomizer to spray Firpo! As witnessed in recent weeks, Pampero was immune and grabbed the spray and doused both Sheik and Volkoff with the fragrance. Firpo was in his glory and used the canister to whack Sheik for good measure. Unfortunately, the referee only saw Firpo's use of the sprary and awarded the bout to Sheik and Volkoff
CHAIN MATCH SCOTT CASEY DEF. ROCK RIDDLE Casey was fired up in the rubber match of this rivalry and used the chain to his advantage. Riddle was punished throughout and several times tried escaping to the dressing room. A deathjump won the match for the popular cowboy star.
ONE TIME ONLY: RANDY SAVAGE DEF. BRUISER BRODY This highly anticipated match lived up to expectations but was over quickly as a flurry of activity and punches started things off. Macho Man came out on top of this scuffle with the help of two flying ax handles (one from the top rope to the floor). Savage used his FLYING ELBOW SMASH to win this showdown.
SEMIFINALS THE HENNIGS DEF. ROAD WARRIORS This long time rivalry continued in this semi-final but the match began like a Texas Tornado match with all four in the ring at once. Curt took a pounding early but the tables turned once the Axe broke up a near fall. A turnbuckle squash planted Animal for the three count. The match continued after the bell with The Hennigs irate that the officials allowed for the post-match attack. The father-son duo asked for a NO-DQ match with these punks on an upcoming card.
SHEIK AND VOLKOFF DEF. DREAM TEAM Sheik and Volkoff were booed mercilessly as the Dream Team was the lesser of two evils with referee Morgan Dollar warning against interference. The newfound popularity of Beefcake and Valentine did not help much and the finish saw Sheik move from a turnbuckle charge from Beefcake to gain the pin and earn a spot in the finals.
CHAMPIONSHIP SHEIK AND VOLKOFF DEF. THE HENNIGS Morgan Dollar was the referee but seemed intimidate by Sheik and Volkoff. Dr. Mike Lano and Bill Apter were both at ringside to get an account for this championship final. All the traffic was anti-climactic as the villainous duo worked over the elder Hennig throughout. A particular sneaky double team at ringside left the Axe vulnerable to a wicked sidewinder suplex from Sheik. Curt saved his dad from the CAMEL CLUTCH but could not stop the referee from a 3-count after Volkoff tagged in and used his BACKBREAKER DROP to capture the titles!
IRON SHEIK and NIKOLAI VOLKOFF win the ALL-WORLD TAG-TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP!!

SATURDAY NIGHT SPECIAL AT COLUMBUS, OH Special prime-time broadcast on network tv. . .
PRIME-TIME BROADCAST: TAG CHAMPIONS IRON SHEIK AND NIKOLAI VOLKOFF DROPPED A NON-TITLE MATCH TO HACKSAW DUGGAN AND BOBO BRAZIL A non-title affair as this match was signed prior to Sheik and Volkoff winning the tournament. The next match between these two pairs is guaranteed for a title match as Brazil and Duggan dominated. Sheik was distracted from the crowd's taunting with a Duggan THREE POINT STANCE knocking Sheik silly. Brazil used his COCO-BUTTS to win this match!
HARLEY RACE OVER LOU THESZ Each man exchanged holds and counters but things turned around after Race kicked out of a GRECO ROMAN BACK DROP. Race launched his counter-offensives and used multiple VERTICAL SUPLEXES to win the match.
FINISHER MATCH: TED DIBIASE OVER CHAMPION BUDDY ROGERS TO WIN THE TITLE! MORGAN DOLLAR AS REFEREE. This long awaited rematch saw referee Dollar eject all ringsiders, including the champ's official “photographer”, Mike Lano. Bill Apter remained at ringside but he was deemed a neutral party due to his affiliation with the Wrestling News. Dibiase was determined and focused and his used his grittier style to rattle Rogers. A series of power slams softened the champ to the COBRA CLUTCH. Sensing an opening, Dibiase continously applied the hold until it was lights-out. A new champion was announced as the crowd sat in stunned silence at the title change. Dibiase cackled while the referee strapped on the title belt and Bill Apter snapped pictures!
BILL APTER HOT SEAT Apter interviewed new champion Ted Dibiase. Dibiase claimed that he is the most well-rounded wrestler in the world: “He can brawl with the Brody's, he can exchange holds with the likes of Rogers or Thesz and the can take punishment from guys like Race or Savage. Having talent like he possesses is priceless! Hahahahaha!” Apter sent the segment to a commercial before the final match of the broadcast.
THE ROAD WARRIORS OVER THE HENNIGS IN A NO-DQ MATCH All four men just went crazy at the bell as the Hennigs were savvy to the Warriors rushing the ring. Hawk and Animal went on the constant double-team, either tossing Larry or Curt and working on the other. Animal used two straight DOOMSDAY DEVICES to pin Larry in this grudge match.
NON-TELEVISED: BRYAN DANIELSON OVER BILL WHITE. The smaller skillster used his agility to confound the slower White. The TRIANGLE CHOKE was the preferred weapon to end the match.
GREG VALENTINE OVER MARTY JANNETTY The Hammer wore down Jannetty with the Hammer Chops and once he got Marty into position for the FIGURE FOUR it was over.
RANDY SAVAGE OVER PAMPERO FIRPO WITH GORGEOUS GEORGE The Macho Man is on fire lately and the Wildman felt his wrath. Savage rushed in and attacked Firpo at the bell. He kept the momentum even using his patented Ax-Handle to the floor. A FLYING ELBOW SMASH finished the evening for Firpo.
BRUISER BRODY OVER SUPERFLY SNUKA IN A CHAIN MATCH A wild, bloody affair which saw Brody outbrawling Snuka. Both men used the chain but Bruiser used it more effectively, whipping Snuka to the mat after a chain-assisted body slam. A JUMPING KNEE DROP got the pinfall for the Bruiser.
