When I re-watched ECW some time ago I thought, "Man, Joey Styles kind of sucked." He's the PBP equivalent of a spot monkey--he knew move names, but not how to get storylines or the match or the wrestlers over. And he was the worst announcer in history when it came to telegraphing things and blowing surprises. If Styles made a prediction or said something like, "The Dudleys are going to retain the titles!" it was a guarantee that the exact opposite would happen. I doubt he's aged like a fine wine, either. Yeah, Joey hasn't held up very well over the years. Stuff like "roaring elbow" (it's the friggin' rolling elbow) and however the shit you want to spell his attempt at "hurricanrana" really bug me...and don't get me started on his call of Awesome/Tanaka at One Night Stand 2005. Arguably the best sub 10:00 match ever and that shithead ruins the whole damn thing by crying about how Awesome left a job where he wasn't being paid for one where he was. What an unprofessional dickhead.

It's okay Switch, they sort of have Cody Rhodes right now. The money just came in too fast and got stuck somewhere. But trust me, Delirious and Co. are going to be Scrooge McDucking their way through it when it gets there.

ROH has done some things very well the last few years, to include a major upgrade in their production values. For a considerable amount of time they have been the #2 promotion in North America (sorry TNA and LU, but y'all have been trailing for some time).
ROH's current problems fall on Delirious and Koff. WWE does not need to raid ROH. ROH failed to ever get their house in order. The departure of key foundational talents like KOR, Nigel, Corino, and maybe Kelly will hurt ROH for a long time to come; compounded by boxing out Truth and Sullivan. The overall talent level has declined, and Delirious seems to be okay with that. The WOH division really looks more like a way to get one person over, meanwhile ROH just shrugs as a great talent like Veda Scott walks away.
It is really sad to see ROH knowingly watch itself wither away because of the blinding support of a booker that has lost his way, with no indication he will find it any time soon.

Keith Lee and Kevin Sullivan. Glad we got Taylor/Lee before that got broken up. Absolutely. We've always been incredibly fortunate to get a lot of the ROH cards that we have. Most of the top names went to WWE shortly after we put cards put for them. Then Vegas having already signed Kenny Omega when he wins G1. I wish nothing but the best to them. Game wise, they've always been awesome to work with.

Then Vegas having already signed Kenny Omega when he wins G1. I didn't know it at the time, but looking back on it I think I was very fortunate to sign Kenny Omega when I did as it happened in November 2009 at PWG the night Omega won BOLA 2009 and thus the vacant PWG World Championship (vacated by Bryan Danielson when he left for the WWE) because less than a month and a half later Omega debuted for NJPW and practically stayed over there (in fact Omega dropped the PWG World Championship in his very first title defense to Davey Richards as he was going to be mostly wrestling in Japan at that point.) I am just glad I was able to help and I hope promoters here enjoy using Kenny Omega in their feds.
