Omega is the World Champ of my giant indy fed right now. Kenny Omega is my LWF intercontinental Champ, and favorite current FG card. Also, one of my very favorite wrestlers. Its incredible that we have him in the game. |

Its incredible that we have him in the game. Seriously, when Kenny Omega was announced I was stoked. His signing, if you ask me, his signing at this point in his career where he is so over in New Japan might be the top signing of an active wrestler for Filsinger Games. He is flat out absolutely the best wrestler on the planet right now...no one is coming close to putting on the matches he is... |

The Columbus show is a good example of their counter productive booking. You have Dalton Castle challenging for the World Title. Now what do you do. Do you build him up with a series of wins over mid-carders or do you book him against Cody Rhodes who everyone is going to assume you're just going to job him to because Cody is totally going to be on the roster and still contributing in 6 months.

The lengths people will go to try justify booking Cody Rhodes when he contributes nothing from an in ring standpoint and has that godawful music are pretty incredible to me. Also a breaking news update in the world of LOLROH: ROH/Stardom are running a joint tryout camp. Not sure why they don't just outright announce Mandy Leon is going to win all the titles in Stardom but hey maybe it's a slow burn or something. |

I get why New Japan wants him because he's just another cog in the mid-card wheel there. But the indys pushing him like he's a big deal is kind of sad. Maybe if he was coming straight off the Rhodes Family angle but he was freaking Stardust. Give that money to Dragon Lee and get a return on your investment.

He's a WWE undercard guy who quit that job to cosplay as a workrate wrestler on the indies and to this point hasn't had any matches that were actually good? Zack Sabre Jr. couldn't do anything with him, Chris Hero couldn't get anything out of him. It says a lot about him that in spite of all the chances he's gotten since leaving WWE to prove to them that they really had something, that his best match is still that no DQ match with Randy Orton on SmackDown in 2011. A lot of the guys who were in the same perceived spot (underutilized WWE midcard guy) wound up doing fairly well. Drew Galloway has been great post-WWE, Trent has been great post-WWE. Cody hasn't. I'm a big fan of his dad and his older brother is one of my all time favorite wrestlers, but Cody is garbage. I get why New Japan wants him because he's just another cog in the mid-card wheel there. He's just a symptom of how desperate some of these promotions are to touch anyone that has wrestled for the WWE. I don't even hate him in RoH but he shouldn't be bullet proof to where he's going over the guy you're hyping for a World Title match. I also don't expect him to last there long term so it's counter productive booking. Promotions are spending a lot of money on the guy when they could invest that elsewhere. |
