Ring announcer Howard Finkel welcomes fans to the show and hypes up a very special main event – the 1st ever Saskatoon Survival Match! Finkel explains that it will be a six-man elimination match where two men square off in the ring and are free to tag any of the other 4 men at any time. The sole survivor will be declared the winner.

Stu Hart & The Stomper vs. Gene Kiniski & Bad News Allen
Stomper and Bad News Allen square off to start the bout. Stomper no sells a club across the chest and slams Allen’s head into the turnbuckle. Allen avoids an elbow drop and stuns Stomper with a headbutt. The men battle it out onto the floor where Allen grabs hold of a chair and smacks it across the back of Stomper as the ref throws the match out.
Winners: Stu Hart & The Stomper by DQ

Gorgeous George w/Cherie Dupre vs. Brian Pillman
George is dismissive of the young rookie and takes his time preparing for the match. When the bell rings, George attempts a dropkick but misses by a wide margin. Pillman executes a suplex followed by a turnbuckle leapfrog and dropkick combination. George stumbles back to his feet before the youngster takes him out with a springboard clothesline. Pillman hooks the leg and picks up the victory as George kicks out right after the three-count in shock.
Winner: Brian Pillman

Afterwards, Dupre slips George a Georgie pin and George attacks PIllman from behind going after his eyes with the hairpin. Officials pull George off and tend to the injured rookie.

Non-Title Match
RWF Tag Team Champions The Valiant Brothers w/Captain Lou Albano vs. The Killer Bees
The Valiant Brothers cut off the ring and work over Killer Bee #1 for an extended period. Johnny picks up a pair of nearfalls following a scoop bodyslam and then a spinning neckbreaker. The Bees finally get some momentum going when Killer Bee #2 surprises Jimmy with a running crossbody. The Bees take control with multiple quick tags in and out. Jimmy pulls a foreign object and nails Killer Bee #1 with it. Killer Bee #1 goes to the floor to recover. As Killer Bee #1 attempts to regroup, Albano sneaks up behind and shoves him into the ringpost right in front of the referee.
Winners: The Killer Bees by DQ

Saskatoon Survival Match
“The Walking Condominium” King Kong Bundy vs. Sabu vs. Greg “The Hammer” Valentine vs. Bruiser Brody vs. “The Billion Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase vs. Bobo Brazil
Brody challenges Bundy to meet him in the middle as the other participants take their positions at the four turnbuckles. DiBiase and Bundy huddle in a corner before the bell rings. The big men exchange blows before Brody pops the crowd with a one hand body slam on the behemoth. Bundy reverses an Irish whip into the corner and tags in DiBiase. DiBiase sends Brody to the opposite corner, but Brody bounces out with a huge lariat. As Brody husses around the ring, Valentine tags himself in on Brody’s shoulder. Valentine takes down DiBiase with a quick shoulderbreaker for a nearfall. Valentine works DiBiase over with his signature chops before tagging in Bobo Brazil. Brazil hits a Bobo body slam and DiBiase bails to the floor with Brazil hot on his tail. DiBiase manages to shoot Brazil into the ringsteps before making the tag to Bundy. Bundy squashes Brazil with his dreaded Avalanche and asks for the five-count.
Eliminated: Bobo Brazil

As Bundy travels back to DiBiase’s corner to confer with him, Sabu enters and jumps onto the back of the monster. Bundy tosses him off and connects with an elbow drop. DiBiase quickly tags in and locks on the Billion Dollar Sleeper, but Sabu holds on. On the outside, DiBiase attempts to send Sabu into the rail, but Sabu reverses. Brody tags in and quickly nails DiBiase with a big boot against the guardrail. Back in the ring, DiBiase avoids a lariat and makes a desperate tag to Bundy. Bundy punishes Brody with two Avalanches, but is unable to pick up the pinfall. Valentine tags in on Bundy’s back and goes after Brody with a flurry of punches. Brody blocks a knee lift and tags in Sabu. Sabu downs his rival with a gut wrench suplex and sinks on the Camel Clutch. Valentine stretches his leg and manages to get his boot on the bottom rope to break it up. Valentine avoids a splash in the corner and tags in DiBiase. DiBiase lands a backward elbow off the rope for a nearfall. The cocky DiBiase looks for a fist-drop, but only finds the mat as Sabu avoids it and tags in Brody. Brody comes in a house of fire and downs DiBiase with a backbreaker before nailing him with a Jumping Knee Drop for the pin.
Eliminated: Ted DiBiase

An enraged Bundy charges Brody. The agile Brody avoids him and Bundy falls through the second rope to the floor. Brody waits for Bundy to climb back into the ring before taking him out with a vicious lariat.
Eliminated: King Kong Bundy

Valentine enters the match as Brody tags out to Sabu. The rivals slug it out before Sabu lands a hurancanrana. Sabu attempts a triple jump moonsault, but Valentine raises his knees up. Sabu avoids a falling elbow hammer and quickly hits a slingshot leg drop for a nearfall. Valentine regains control and tags out to Brody with a disrespectful slap to the chest. Sabu surprises Brody with a dropkick to the knee before grabbing a chair from outside the ring and landing an Arabian Facebuster. The referee takes the chair away from Sabu and disqualifies him.
Eliminated: Sabu by DQ

Taking advantage of the situation, Valentine pulls up Brody by the hair and hits a nasty piledriver. Valentine hooks the leg and presses his forearm against Brody’s face for the cover.
Eliminated: Bruiser Brody

Winner: Greg “The Hammer” Valentine

Bruiser Brody vs. Bob Crabapple
Brody dominates from the opening bell. Brody lands a shoulder tackle and then stomps Crabapple in the corner. Brody executes a one hand body slam and follows up with his jumping knee drop for the victory.
Winner: Bruiser Brody

Non-Title Match
RWF Tag Team Champions The Valiant Brothers w/Captain Lou Albano vs. The Killer Bees
The Killer Bees shock the champs early on by nailing Johnny with the Bee Sting. Jimmy quickly jumps in to make the save. The Valiants regain control when Johnny reverses an attempted suplex. The brothers isolate Killer Bee #2 and weaken him with a double clothesline before Jimmy nails his super elbow and makes the pin.
Winners: RWF Tag Team Champions The Valiant Brothers w/Captain Lou Albano

Afterwards, Albano trapped the referee in a corner as his men continued their assault on the Killer Bees. Johnny took out both Bees with multiple swinging neckbreakers. Jimmy followed up with crushing top rope elbows onto both men. The Valiants and Albano celebrated their victory as The Killer Bees had to be helped from the ring.

Gorgeous George w/Cherie Dupre vs. Robert Maple
Maple surprised George early on with a back body drop. George soon took control and gained the submission win with his spinning toe hold.
Winner: Gorgeous George w/Cherie Dupre

Gene Kiniski vs. The Stomper
For the first several minutes, both men exchange heavy blows and numerous reversals. Kiniski stuns his opponent with a sock to the jaw and a sudden headbutt. Kiniski follows with a Big Thunder Clothesline and his Back Breaker for the victory.
Winner: Gene Kiniski

The Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff vs. Sabu & Bobo Brazil
As Sheik and Volkoff strategize in their corner, Sabu sets up a chair mid-ring and hits both men with Air Sabu to the crowd’s roaring approval. Sheik stumbles to the opposite corner and gets smashed with another Air Sabu. The action quickly spills to the floor where Sabu attacks Sheik with the steel chair. The referee sternly warns Sabu before calling for the bell. Brazil, looking slightly frustrated, calms Sabu down after the contest.
Winners: The Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff by DQ.

RWF presents “Wrestle Weekly TV” Episode #17

May 28th

Live from Ogden Auditorium in Calgary, Alberta

Dark Match
Stu Hart vs. Bad News Allen
The Calgary crowd is firmly behind Hart. The intense action spills to the floor early where Allen drops Hart throat-first on the guardrail and quickly slides into the ring looking for a count out victory. Hart manages to jump in at the count of 19 only to be leveled by a left arm lariat by Allen for a nearfall. Hart mounts a brief comeback as the crowd urges him on, but Allen beats him down with clubbing blows and makes the cover.
Winner: Bad News Allen

Footage airs from last week of the closing moments of the main event where The Destroyer and Frank Gotch defeated The Road Warriors in shocking fashion to become #1 Contenders to The Valiant Brothers’ RWF Tag Team Championships. “Mean” Gene Okerlund conducts an interview with the victors taped last week in the locker room after their momentous win. Gotch sits in the background with a towel draped over his shoulders as The Destroyer handles the interview. Okerlund congratulates the team and asks how in the world they were able to survive three doomsday devices and still find a way to win. Destroyer points to his heart and talks about all the hard work and dedication he and Gotch have put in since their journey to Japan. Destroyer pats Gotch on the back and states that they only have one more hurdle to jump before they claim tag team gold.

Bill Mercer and Bobby “The Brain” Heenan welcome viewers from the announce table at ringside. Heenan mentions that this is a jam packed show and is not sure if we’re going to have time for the main event. Mercer quickly corrects Heenan and states that the main event will occur and that it is a No DQ match pitting The Sandman against Ox Baker. Mercer hypes up Red Bastien making an appearance, the “Wrestle Weekly” debut of The Sheik in 6-man action, huge news from recent RWF live events, and announcements for “A Grand Arrival” PPV on June 11th. Mercer pitches it over to the ring for a rematch from last week.

Killer Kowalski vs. Larry Cameron
Mercer talks about their first meeting last week when Cameron won via DQ after Kowalski slammed him through the timekeeper’s table. Heenan says that Kowalski is a changed man after the cage match with Bockwinkel and can’t hang with top competition anymore. When the bell rings, Kowalski hoists Cameron up with a big overhead body slam. Cameron rolls on the mat in agony – still selling his back from last week. Kowalski ascends the turnbuckle and nails the bombs away for the victory. Mercer asks Heenan if he still thinks Kowalski “can’t hang” anymore – Heenan does not respond.
Winner: Killer Kowalski 

Mercer narrates footage from a recent RWF live event in Saskatoon where Greg “The Hammer” Valentine won the inaugural Saskatoon Survival match. A pretape promo airs from Greg Valentine. Valentine smugly looks to the camera showing off his trophy from the event. Valentine challenges Sabu, Bobo Brazil, and “that arsonistic madman” The Sheik to a 6-man elimination match at “A Grand Arrival.” Afterwards, the announcers speculate who The Valentines will be teaming with as Ox Baker seems to be preoccupied with The Sandman.

A pretape promo from The Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff airs. Sheik calls Duggan a “filthy American” and contends that he would have never lost to Buddy Rogers without Duggan’s interference last week. Sheik spits at the camera lens and warns Duggan and Rogers that he will make them humble with the camel clutch.

“Superfly” Jimmy Snuka & Bruiser Brody vs. Tom Pedretti & Ed Blackburn
Snuka and Brody made their way to the ring with purpose after the sneak attack from DiBiase and Bundy last week. Snuka goes to town on Pedretti with a series of headbutts and vicious chops leaving the rookie a heap on the mat. Snuka follows with a knee drop and makes the cover. Mercer mentions that DiBiase and Bundy better prepare themselves. Heenan disagrees and says he would never underestimate a man with so much money.
Winners: “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka & Bruiser Brody

Mercer narrates footage from another recent RWF live event where RWF Tag Team Champions The Valiant Brothers w/Captain Lou Albano defeated The Killer Bees in a non-title contest. After the match, Albano held the referee in the corner while his men brutally assaulted the Bees. Mercer announces that, as a result of the beatdown, The Killer Bees are injured and out of action (4 card injury). Mercer also announces that, due to their despicable actions, RWF officials have decided to suspend The Valiant Brothers and Albano for 4 events. Apparently some RWF officials wanted a harsher suspension, but the RWF board contended that the tag team championships need to be defended at “A Grand Arrival.”

Red Bastien makes his way to the ring dressed to compete, but walking gingerly after his hard-fought win against Killer Khan last week. Bastien grabs a microphone from Mercer and enters the ring. Bastien states that he doesn’t know what has been going on as of late with non-contracted talent showing up in RWF and challenging him. Bastien promises that he will stand up to any man that gets in his way. As Bastien makes a quip about Gorgeous George not being a man, Jason The Terrible walks down the ramp pointing a finger at Bastien. Bastien tosses down the microphone in anger and tells the referee to ring the bell.

Red Bastien vs. Jason The Terrible
Before the match can officially start, Bastien attempts a suicide dive through the ropes. Jason catches Bastien and press slams him onto the timekeeper’s table. Jason continues the assault in the ring, but Bastien surprises him with a flying body press and somehow hooks the monster in an abdominal stretch. Jason breaks free by nailing Bastien with a masked headbutt. Jason executes a stump piledriver followed by an axe kick off the ropes. Bastien is barely able to get the shoulder up. Bastien goes for a flying head scissors, but Jason nails a forearm and hits another axe kick off the ropes for the win. Afterwards, multiple referees run down the ramp to stop Jason from continuing the carnage.
Winner: Jason The Terrible

A pretape promo from Harley Race airs. Race admits that he waited to officially comment on his upcoming world championship opportunity until after Bockwinkel signed the contract. Race calls Bockwinkel a paper champion with a yellow streak down his back. “This will be your first time even defending that belt since you won it back at Gold Rush. I’ve learned from my mistakes after our first encounter that night and rest assured I won’t be making them again. RWF is going to have itself a real man as a champion who will defend against anyone…..anytime….anywhere.”

Sabu, Bobo Brazil, & The Sheik vs. Jet Greenspan, Richard Murphy, & Patrick Foss
As the referee checks Sabu for foreign objects, The Sheik pulls an object out of his own trunks and stabs at Greenspan behind the referee’s back. Sheik works over the youngster with a sadistic hammerlock before finishing the job with an elbow drop. Afterwards, Sabu pointed to the sky in celebration as Brazil was hesitant to congratulate his teammates considering the tactics used.

From the RWF events center “Mean” Gene Okerlund hypes up the next huge PPV - “A Grand Arrival” taking place on June 11th at the Grand Olympic Auditorium in Los Angeles. Okerlund runs down the card including several matches that have just been signed as graphics appear on the screen:

The Sandman vs. Ox Baker
Prior to the bout clips are shown from “Gold Rush” back in April where Baker defeated Sandman. Following the match, Baker assaulted his opponent and stole the Singapore cane. Baker makes his way to the ring showing off his possession as fans jeer. Sandman runs through the crowd and jumps into the ring as the ref quickly calls for the bell to start the match. Both men clinch and exchange punches for a short period as the crowd roars. Baker throws Sandman to the nearest turnbuckle. Sandman bounces out and leaps on Baker with a crossbody for the flash pin. Sandman quickly reclaims his Singapore cane and goes into the audience to celebrate. The referee leaps out of the ring as Baker storms after him.
Winner: The Sandman

“The Billion Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase and “The Walking Condominium” King Kong Bundy make their way out to the ring. DiBiase angrily grabs the microphone and talks about the fact that he and Bundy had planned to only work where stars of their caliber belong – pay per view. However, DiBiase informs the audience that they were contractually obligated to appear in this dump. DiBiase challenges any Vancouver newcomers to come out and get squashed by his monster. Japanese wrestling upstart and British Columbia’s own John Tenta comes out from the behind the curtain to answer the call.

“The Walking Condominium” King Kong Bundy w/The Billion Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase vs. John Tenta
Bundy and DiBiase look surprised by the size of the rookie. As Tenta stretches and acknowledges the crowd reaction, Bundy attacks him with a forearm smash followed by punches to the head. Bundy bounces off the ropes with an elbow drop and goes for the cover, but Tenta powers out. Tenta rolls outside to recover where DiBiase starts jaw-jacking with him. Bundy rushes up behind the unsuspecting rookie and squashes Tenta against the steel post. DiBiase laughs over Tenta as Bundy rolls into the ring and orders the referee to count.
Winner: King Kong Bundy w/Ted DiBiase by countout

Gorgeous George w/Cherie Dupre vs. The Sheik w/Sabu
George is throwing fits in the ring – obviously not wanting anything to do with this match as The Sheik makes his entrance. As Sheik drops to his knees and points to the sky as part of his pre-match ritual, George shoves him down and hooks on the spinning toe hold. George frantically switches between figure four leglocks and spinning toe holds in attempts to finish the match as quickly as possible. Sheik kicks free of multiple submission attempts. In a last ditch effort, George small packages Sheik with a handful of tights and gets the win. George quickly high tails it to the dressing room with Dupre. Sheik pulls out a foreign object from his trunks as Sabu holds him at bay.
Winner: Gorgeous George w/Cherie Dupre

“Superfly” Jimmy Snuka & Bruiser Brody vs. The Valentines (Greg “The Hammer” Valentine & Johnny Valentine)
The father/son duo isolate Snuka early in the contest. Johnny scores with the Atomic Skullcrusher, but Brody jumps in to make the save. Brody soon gets the hot tag and flattens Johnny with a dropkick and a twisting vertical suplex. Brody nails his signature Jumping Knee Drop, but Johnny manages to get the shoulder up. Later in the match, Snuka slips out of Greg’s bodyslam attempt and executes a piledriver for a sudden nearfall. Action soon spills out to the floor as the referee attempts to restore order. Greg grabs the bell from the timekeeper’s table and cracks Snuka across the back as the referee calls for the bell. Officials had to separate both teams afterwards.

Gene Kiniski vs. Bobo Brazil
Brazil latches onto a front facelock before transitioning into a backbreaker. Brazil quickly nails Kiniski with a pair of Coco Butts to pick up the victory in dominating fashion. Kiniski argues with the referee afterwards claiming that he had gotten his shoulder up.
Winner: Bobo Brazil

The Destroyer & Frank Gotch vs. The Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff
The Iron Sheik draws the ire of the crowd from the onset as he cheap shots Gotch with a throat chop and then chokes Gotch on the ropes. Sheik obtains a quick nearfall after a sidewinder suplex before tagging out to Volkoff. Enraged by the illegal tactics of his opponents, Gotch chucks Volkoff to the floor where a wild brawl erupts. Gotch goes ballistic with a series of closed fist punches to Volkoff. After multiple warnings, the referee had no choice but to call for the bell. Gotch sends Volkoff flying into the ring steps before officials could restore order. After the calamity had subsided, The Destoryer signed autographs for the ringside fans to send the crowd home happy.

RWF House Show June 3rd

Wenatchee, WA

Howard Finkel opens the show by introducing local promoter Don Owens to polite applause. Owens announces that RWF and his promotion, Pacific Northwest Wrestling, have established a partnership. Owens hypes up the interpromotional matches on the card including a 4 Corner PNW Tag Team Elimination Match where the winning team gets to appear on the next episode of “Wrestle Weekly.” Owens declares the main event will feature Billy Jack Haynes facing “Crippler” Rip Oliver in a No-DQ match.

“Superfly” Jimmy Snuka, Bruiser Brody, & Dutch Savage vs. The Valentines (Greg “The Hammer” Valentine & Johnny Valentine) & Adrian Adonis
The crowd pops huge for the reunion of sorts of Snuka and Savage who previously held the PNW Tag Team Championships on multiple occasions. Greg reverses an Irish whip from Brody and lights him up with a Valentine Chop heard throughout the arena. Greg follows with a piledriver for a nearfall. Adonis tags in and sinks on the spinning toehold, but the big man refuses to give up. Brody swats down a dropkick and nails Adonis with a twisting vertical suplex. Snuka finishes Adonis off with the Superfly Splash to seal the victory.
Winners: “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka, Bruiser Brody, & Dutch Savage

Bobo Brazil vs. Scotty The Body w/Taylor Made
Scotty arrogantly slaps Bobo across the face and poses to the crowd. Bobo levels him with a running clothesline and a Bobo body slam. Bobo hits a big hammer punch for good measure before finishing Scotty off with the Coco Butt.
Winner: Bobo Brazil

4 Corner Tag Team Elimination Match
Bruise Brothers (Ron & Don Harris) vs. The Southern Rockers (Steve Doll & Rex King) vs. “Tough” Tony Bourne & “Moondog” Lonnie Mayne vs. The Wrecking Crew (“The American Ninja” Brian Adams & The Grappler)
Mayne howls at the crowd as the bell rings. Adams quickly sneaks up and rolls up Mayne for a near victory. Adams hooks on his full nelson, but Mayne is able to make it to the ropes for the break. All teams get in on the action during the opening minutes. Realizing the immense size differential, the face teams start to work together on the towering Bruise Brothers. Bourne shocks Don Harris with a top rope crossbody for a nearfall. The Southern Rockers finish the job by pinning Don after the Rockerplex.
Eliminated: Bruise Brothers (Ron & Don Harris)

The Grappler squares off with Rex King and takes control following a thumb to the throat. As The Grappler argues with the official about the illegal blow, Adams lays out King with a shot from his kendo stick. Adams quickly tags in and downs King with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker.
Eliminated: The Southern Rockers (Steve Doll & Rex King)

Mayne attempts to shock Grappler with a small package, but Grappler kicks out at the last second. The Wrecking Crew takes back the advantage after Adams makes use of his kendo stick again behind the referee’s back. Mayne takes a beating after a low blow from Adams. The crowd gets behind Mayne as he makes a comeback and smashes Grappler with a top rope knee drop. Bourne grabs a go behind on Grappler. Grappler goes to the ropes for the break, but Bourne bounces his opponent off the ropes and turns it into a roll up for the abrupt win.
Eliminated: The Wrecking Crew (“The American Ninja” Brian Adams & The Grappler)
Winners: “Tough” Tony Bourne & “Moondog” Lonnie Mayne

The Destroyer, Frank Gotch, & The Sheik w/Sabu vs. The Iron Sheik, Nikolai Volkoff, & Gorgeous George w/Cherie Dupre
The Sheik starts off for his team. The Iron Sheik and Volkoff huddle then send George in to start for their side. Sheik immediately bites at a screaming George’s forehead and attempts to stab at him with a foreign object. Destroyer tags in before a disqualification occurs and executes a sensational suplex. Gotch works over a still screaming George with a grinding hammerlock. The Sheik enters again and submits George with the Camel Clutch. An absolute domination.
Winners: The Destroyer, Frank Gotch, & The Sheik w/Sabu

No DQ Match
Billy Jack Haynes vs. “Crippler” Rip Oliver
Haynes shines early on in the bout before Oliver sends him shoulder first into the steel post. Oliver attempts a blatant choke, but Haynes breaks free. Haynes roars back with a leapfrog/press slam combination followed by his signature Full Nelson. A squirming Oliver is able to slip free. The action spills to the floor where Oliver manages to suplex Haynes through the timekeeper’s table. The crowd gasps as both men come up bloody. Oliver punishes Haynes with multiple taped thumbs to the throat. With a dripping crimson mask, Haynes mounts a comeback and manages to sink on his Full Nelson one more time for the victory. Both men collapse to the mat in exhaustion.

RWF presents “Wrestle Weekly TV” Episode #18

Billy Jack Haynes vs. Bob Crabapple
Haynes sports a bandage on his forehead after the hellacious No DQ match at the previous night’s house show in Wenatchee, WA. Haynes does his leapfrog and pressslam combo for an early nearfall. Moments later, Haynes dispathes Crabapple with a sudden high standing dropkick.

Bill Mercer and Bobby “The Brain” Heenan welcome viewers from their announce position at ringside. Mercer hypes several things for tonight’s show including huge news for next week’s “A Grand Arrival” PPV and a television main event featuring #1 Contender Harley Race battling Nikolai Volkoff. Heenan cuts off Mercer and states that RWF World Champion Nick Bockwinkel would be gracing the fans with his presence. Mercer mentions that the first match is a special bout featuring RWF’s young talent. Richard Murphy is already waiting in the ring as Ed Blackburn makes his way through the curtain. As Blackburn walks down the aisle, Ox Baker runs up from behind and blasts him with a clothesline. An incensed Baker, still raging from the results of last week’s main event against The Sandman, enters the ring and order the referee to ring the bell.

Ox Baker vs. Richard Murphy
Murphy backs off and attempts to convince Baker that he doesn’t have any issues with him. Baker responds with a boot to the stomach, a clothesline, and a brutal backbreaker. Baker sends Murphy through the ropes to the floor. Murphy grabs a steel chair and cracks Baker right in the face. Baker no sells the chairshot and orders the referee not to call for the bell. A frightened Murphy drops the chair and begs for mercy. Baker throws Murphy back in the ring and promptly destroys him with a Heart Punch. Baker looks into the camera and shouts for The Sandman as he makes the pin.

A pretape promo from Bruiser Brody and “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka airs. Brody warns DiBiase and Bundy that all the money in the world won’t be able to stop the pain they are going to feel at “A Grand Arrival” when they meet in a Tornado Tag Match. Snuka starts to huff and puff in anger. Brody states that Snuka will never forgive DiBiase for what occurred at “March Madness.” Brody promises to take out Bundy early so that he can have a front row seat for Snuka getting his revenge on DiBiase.

Bill Mercer conducts a ringside interview with Red Bastien. Mercer brings up the events in recent weeks of non-contracted talent showing up in RWF and challenging Bastien. Bastien admits that he was as confused about it as anyone, but wasn’t going to back down from a fight. Mercer asks about Bastien’s physical condition after facing opponents like Jason The Terrible and Killer Khan. Before Bastien could answer, Ed Wiskoski enters the ringside area and tears the microphone away from Mercer. Wiskoski states that he and Buddy Rose were multiple time tag team champions together on the West Coast. Wiskoski points a finger in the face of Bastien and claims that he couldn’t lace Rose’s boots. Bastien pushes Wiskoski’s hand away from his face and asks Wiskoski if Rose put him up to this. Wiskoski smirks before blasting Bastien with a cheapshot. Wiskoski climbs into the ring and waves for Bastien to join him. Bastien storms in as the referee rings the opening bell.

A fired up Bastien dominates the opening moments with multiple arm drags and a flying head scissors. Wiskoski rolls out to the floor to recover. Bastien attempts a plancha to the outside, but his over eagerness gets the best of him. Wiskoski avoids the move and Bastien dangerous crashes into the guardrail. Wiskoski tosses Bastien back into the ring and executes his flying headbutt for the victory.
Winner: Ed Wiskoski

After the three count, Wiskoski climbs the turnbuckles again looking for another flying headbutt. RWF officials stand between Wiskoski and the prone Bastien to prevent further carnage. Mercer openly wonders if Rose is behind all of this.

A pretape promo from The Sandman airs. Sandman chuckles as he holds a cigarette in one hand and his newly reclaimed Singapore cane in the other. Sandman ponders why everyone in the RWF is afraid of Ox Baker. He flicks his cigarette and says it’ll take longer to finish this smoke than it did to defeat Baker last week. Sandman says he wasn’t impressed with Baker’s victory earlier in the show. “You wanna beat up some unsuspecting rookie and call me out? I’m not a hard man to find, Baker. You. Me. A Grand Arrival. Bring it.”

From the RWF event center, “Mean” Gene Okerlund hypes up next week’s “A Grand Arrival” PPV from Los Angeles, CA. Another big match has been signed by RWF officials – The Sandman will battle Ox Baker in a Singapore Cane Match! There will also be a special interview with Red Bastien. Okerlund wonders if we will all finally get to the bottom of what has been occurring to Bastien lately. Okerlund ends with huge news for the June 9th RWF live event in Daly City, CA. The event, with help from co-promoter Roy Shire, will feature the annual Cow Palace Battle Royal. Okerlund explains that the Battle Royal is known for attracting talent far and wide. This year will be no exception as the winner will earn a match on “A Grand Arrival”.

Back in the Portland Sports Arena, RWF World Champion Nick Bockwinkel stands in the ring with a microphone. Bockwinkel says he cannot believe the outlandish statements Harley Race made last week about his prestigious championship reign. “You think you’re going to get the first shot at my championship? Just to prove you wrong, Mr. Race, I’m going to put my title on the line right here tonight!” The crowd erupts in excitement. “At my approval, I told RWF matchmakers to select the individual in the locker room who is fully deserving of this momentous opportunity. Come on out!” Fans eagerly anticipate the challenger. Suddenly Antonio Rigatoni makes his way out to the ring. Fans boo Bockwinkel as the RWF World Champion preps himself in the ring as if this was an important bout.

Bockwinkel immediately locks on an armbar as the chorus of boos continue. Rigatoni manages to reverse an Irish whip, but the champion catches him with a kick to the ribs. Bockwinkel executes a back suplex and then locks on the Bockwinkel Sleeper. The referee lets Rigatoni’s arm fall three times before calling for the bell. Heenan offers Bockwinkel a bottle of water as Bockwinkel clutches the championship as if he just won a difficult matchup. Mercer calls this an embarrassment.

Following the commercial break, Greg “The Hammer” Valentine and Johnny Valentine are already in the ring for the next context. Mercer explains that their opponents tonight earned their way onto the program with a victory at yesterday’s RWF Live Event in Wenatchee, WA. “Tough” Tony Bourne and “Moondog” Lonnie Mayne enter to a huge pop from the Portland fans.

As Bourne and Mayne play to the audience, The Valentines attack them from behind. Greg sends Mayne through the ropes to the floor as Johnny locks Bourne in an abdominal stretch. Greg forces Bourne out to the floor as well and chokes him with an electrical cable. The referee is forced to ring the bell.

Afterwards, Mercer interviews The Valentines at ringside. Mercer asks Greg what the father-son duo is trying to prove. Greg claims that he and his father were hardcore before it was cool. Johnny warns Sabu, Bobo Brazil, and The Sheik that they aren’t scared of going to the extreme. Mercer asks about their mystery partner for “A Grand Arrival.” Greg laughs and hints that their partner isn’t afraid of going to the extreme either.

“Hacksaw” Jim Duggan vs. Tom Pedretti
Duggan leaves the 2x4 at the announce table near a disgusted Heenan. Once the bell rings, Duggan lands a double forearm smash and soon hits the Tough Guy clothesline for the quick victory. Duggan gives the cheering crowd a thumbs up as his hand is raised.

Afterwards, Mercer interviews Duggan in the ring. Duggan states that he hopes to run the anti-American Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff out of the RWF for good. Mercer asks Duggan about his unlikely partnership with Buddy Rogers. Duggan said they probably wouldn’t be considered perfect partners, but says he’ll have his most trusted partner by his side. With that, Duggan hoists up his 2x4 and yells “Hoooo!”

Backstage “Mean” Gene Okerlund has some late breaking news for “A Grand Arrival.” Okerlund mentions RWF co-promoting a recent show with Don Owen’s Pacific Northwest Wrestling and the upcoming collaboration with Roy Shire’s NWA San Francisco. Okerlund says he is happy to announce that the RWF is establishing a working relationship with one of the most heralded professional wrestling organizations in the world – New Japan Pro Wrestling! If that weren’t enough, New Japan Pro Wrestling is sending two of its most talented competitors to Los Angeles. At “A Grand Arrival” in a special attraction match, Tiger Mask takes on Jushin “Thunder” Liger!

Mercer mentions that Race looks more focused than he ever has. Heenan questions if Race might possibly be overlooking Volkoff and thinking about Bockwinkel instead. After a short back-and-forth, Volkoff gains the advantage and sends Race to the ropes. Race bounces off and clobbers Volkoff with a jumping knee smash. A discombobulated Volkoff gets to his feet. Race executes his signature piledriver and makes the cover. The referee counts to three as The Iron Sheik throws a fit at ringside.
Winner: Harley Race

As Race is getting his hand raised in victory, RWF World Champion Nick Bockwinkel walks out onto the entrance ramp with his title raised overhead. Mercer reminds fans about “A Grand Arrival” on PPV next Sunday from Los Angeles!
