Just wanted to drop in and add that PLAAY Games has been really awesome since I discovered them last year. I own the stock car racing, baseball, and golf games and they are all excellent. I'm glad to see others that have found out about them. Keith provides great customer service as well. Too true. With Soccer Blast, my search for a soccer board game is over. I recently purchased the 2017 English Premiership season so I can watch my hometown team fail miserably all over again!

For what it's worth, I've just finished replaying all 380 games of the English Premiership and Tottenham Hotspur won the league, Middlesbrough, Hull City and Sunderland relegated.

I'm still enjoying this game.
Played all 380 games of the 2019 English Premiership and Manchester City won.
I am also almost halfway through the 1986 English 1st Division season. Liverpool are currently top of the league.

Hi mate, I have bought this for my son. Still on ice as it will be a birthday gift in late July. Sounds like if Man City won 2019 and Liverpool lead in 1986 it plays out realism quite well then? What are the final scores of matches like. I dislike football games where you end up with 4-4, 6-3, 6-5, that sort of thing. Like things to be realistic sounding. How are the top teams in each of the seasons? Do you think it possible for say bottom of the league to beat the top teams in upsets or are they too overpowered?
My son and I are Man Utd fans. I am a big fan of the 80s (my childhood). the chance to play 85-86 really appeals. I love Bryan Robson so to use him will be a great but I am a huge fan of many teams from that era. Everton had a fantastic team back then and even West Ham were great. It always sticks in my mind that season as the one where Man U won in real life the opening 10 games and were unbeaten for a quite a while before blowing the best chance of the title for a long time and fading horribly in second half of season to 4th!

Yeah it is tough to play them all. I tend to be more a collector of the Plaay games. Probably no way I could manage a whole season of say Soccer Blast or Face to the Mat. Play the odd one here and there. GWF/LWF gets most of my focus for sure and I am way, way behind in both of those as it is!

I really liked the baseball game but I wish had been easier to do kind of a relaunch or fantasy draft. It was real fun to play but long so 162 games for each team would have been crazy lol.
I contemplated picking up soccer or boxing cause I wanted to add to my alternate Avalon timeline where I play my fed out.

I really like the look of the Baseball and American Football games too. There's also History Maker Hoops for Basketball coming next year. Problem is it will confuse me. Being British my knowledge of these sports is more on a basic level. It will be too much for me to learn. But the games are so nicely packaged and look so good that if I had money to burn I'd love to own them. He even has sports I know zilch about or don't follow at all like Golf, Demo Derby Smashdown, Roller Derby/Rumble and Jai-Alai (i think). I'd even get these as the packaging and design looks incredible
But as you say playing a season out of anything is very tough. I had no idea Baseball teams played that many games in a season!
Did he have a boxing game? That might be interesting

I did an MLS season and the scores were more often 2-1 or 3-2 in my experience with an oddball 4-1 mixed in. Certainly realistic from what I saw.

Sorry Wayne, I did not see your response until today! By now you will have played this game? I've almost finished the 1986 season and Liverpool have cruised to the title with games in hand. Also Birmingham City and West Bromwich Albion were relegated, as they were in real life. There are football websites out there that will actually list the exact 22 men who started each game. Results tend to be more realistic if you use them. The games are generally low-scoring and upsets are few and far between. You will find that games between the top teams tend to end goalless (though in my replay Liverpool smashed West Ham United 5-0) as do games between the bottom teams. And a game between a top team and a bottom team often ends in a rout.
