Gotch is definitely one of my favorites and Torin Caelum is becoming more and more of a favorite. Glad the matches are intriguing my friend. Just finished up the card will be posting very soon! You know, in other posts you had spoken about the Mountie and once I researched him and found out what he was all about I said to myself - totally have to recruit this guy into The League! The Family is making moves to recruit - more to follow but they had heard rumours that werewolves were or may have already been signed to The League. Hedging there bets either way. A short & fast paced match that had a lot of action; a match opening shoving match, referee knocked out, alternating chair shots and a boxing style ringside brawl. The difference in the match came down to Matthew Cross executing a perfect BOW AND ARROW submission hold that proved inescapable.
Matthew Cross defeated Keith Blood by a BOW AND ARROW Submission at the 3 minute mark.

(As Matthew Cross celebrated his first LXG victory, in the front row, Count Necros told the increasingly nocturnal Rook to learn from Keith Bloods mistakes - he didn't go full tilt while the ref was out - and his opponent still has his cross around his neck).

2. Balaal  vs  Harley Race !

The only person who wasn't intimidated in the arena by a 6' 5" 294 pound venomous snake was Harley Race. Balaal had no answer for an effective all power move assault, although he was able to kick out of the first PILEDRIVER, the second one did him in and made a statement in the process.

(A man who recently took up residence in Brooklyn originally from Andromeda took notes on this match, whilst under a long trench coat and a hat that hid most of his face. He shook his head as Race was announced the winner).

3. The Mountie  vs   Greg The Hammer Valentine! - No Dq Match !

A back and forth brawling struggle ensued between these opponents but after a short while Valentine started to out power The Mountie. Valentine trapped him in his finisher and forced him to tap out as The Mountie was struggling to try to reach his SHOCK STICK - which was just beyond his fingertips.
Greg Valentive defeated The Mountie by a FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK Submission at the 3 minute mark

(As security kept the rampaging Mountie away from Valentine, he soon felt a tap on his shoulder. As Valentine spun around, he found himself face to face with Jack Nicholson who had an interesting offer for him - to join The Figure Four Horsemen).

4. Gladiators of The New Aethra - Thrash & Serenity vs The Greek Goddesses - Aphrodite & Eris w/Minion !

In a womens division version of a legendary tag team rivalry, this one turns ugly immediately. Without Serenity or Aphrodite even making it into the ring, the referee disqualifies both Thrash and Eris as they started braining each other with steel chairs regardless of the warnings outside the ring.
The Gladiators of The New Aethra and The Greek Goddesses wrestle to a Double Disqialification at the 1 minute mark

(This feud is unique in that since it started with a double disqualification, it could potentially take a total of 4 matches to settle it - with the fourth match worth an unprecedented Quadruple Ratings Points).

5. Pierre The Enormous  vs Torin Caelum !

The best match of the night so far as Torin Caelums endurance and outbrawling matched Pierre The Enormouses tremendous size and power in a very hard fought - tough to call match that lasted as long as the first 4 matches combined. But Pierre was able to suddenly hit his primary finisher which took all of the wind out of Caelum.
Pierre The Enormous defeated Torin Caelum by GINORMOUS DROP Pinfall at the 15 minute mark.
( Pierre The Enormous + 40Â / Torin Caelum - 40 ).
(As Torin Caelum collected himself at ringside, Pierre reached under the ring in order to grab the keg he had held over his shoulder when he approached the ring before the match. Pierre opened a valve and started sucking the beer through a large straw).

6. The Wild Samoans - with Captain Lou Albano  vs  The Road Warriors - with Precious Paul Ellering !

A long match where The Wild Samoans controlled; the pace, the inside the ring offense and overall tag team effectiveness. But once Hawk was finally able to be tagged in, the momentum changed immediately and despite brilliant distractions and an interference from Captain Lou, The Road Warriors put Afa down for the count with their tag finisher.
The Road Warriors defeated The Wild Samoans with a DOOMSDAY DEVICE Pin at the 24 minute mark.

(Unbeknownst to everyone in attendance, Piper had set off one of the new smokeless blunt granades and rolled it underneath the circular table (during the opening show music), that is set up for these debates, discussions and rants just prior to going live on the air - the u.s. secret service were busy trying to see through She Devils dress).
Everyone in attendance had purposeful, matters that were close to their hearts but all in attendance soon found themselves stoned and either obviously or secretly aroused. Pit even dropped his now maniacal hate for Piper and just started wondering if April Hunters stockings go all the way up to the top under her dress or not.

7. Commissioners No Dq Tournament - Owner Of The WWE (World Wide Empire) - Wince McCan't !

Wince McCan't entered the arena to an avalanche of negativity and boos, with that crazy arm wiggling walk that suggests he's got a load in his pants that he's quite proud of. Sky Low Low turned to Trish Stratus and said to her - please beat this man quickly - I get nauseous everytime I look at him.
The Match:

As McCan't was in the process of saying to Stratus - I promise I won't hurt you sweetheart, Stratus quickly executed a Neckbreaker that flattened him. After a Chick Kick that spun his head, Stratus hit a perfect Spinebuster that knocked McCan't out cold - making it extremely easy to hook the leg for the victory.
Trish Stratus defeated Wince McCan't via a Spinebuster Pinfall at the 30 second mark to advance on.

New School vs Old School styles here where at first it was all Tyler Black, sporting an offense that peaked with his secondary finisher - GOD'S LAST GIFT - A Small Package Driver, however Muldoon was sble to kick out of it. Through his conditioning, endurance and willpower William Muldoon kick mounted a dramatic comeback and scored the three count with a Suplex assault that overwhelmed Black and stunned him senseless.
William Muldoon defeated Tyler Black by a Suplex Pinfall at the 6 minute mark.

(As Muldoon triumphantly made his way to the locker room, a breathtaking red haired woman in the front row dressed all in black got Tyler Black's attention immediately. She handed him a key to her hotel room and told him I can make you even stronger than you already are - be there in 15 minutes and don't change - come as you are. The only thing he got out of her before he watched her leave was that her name was Brooklyn...)

9. The American Dragon - Bryan Danielson vs Bruiser Brody - No Dq Feud Rematch - Double Ratings Points! (Brody leads the Feud 1 - 0)

Bruiser Brody came out with a vengeance, rag dolling Bryan Danielson inside the ring and outside the ring - he dominated by breaking his face open with the announcers table and a Steel Chair Shot. Danielson definitely showed the heart of a former champion, even making it back into the ring after being One Handed Body Slammed onto the concrete floor - but Brody's Twisting Vertical Suplex finally defeated him.
Bruiser Brody defeated Bryan Danielson via a Twisting Vertical Suplex Pinfall at the 12 minute mark, Bruiser Brody wins the feud 2 - 0.

(Shortly after the match, as Bruiser Brody enters the locker room he is ambushed by Jay Lethal and Johnny Gargano, but the ambush backfires as Brody throws Gargano into Lethal, grabs his chain and chases both them out of the building and down 4th avenue).

10. The Only The Strong Survive Tournament: Morpheus vs Lou Thesz !

From right out of the gate, both wrestlers unleashed tough offenses and got key reversals against each other - then the momentum started to shift in Lou Thesz's favor as he started to get into an offensive grove. But Morpheus rallied back and suprised everyone in attendance with an unexpected and perfectly executed powerful Sunset Flip Pin Combination to just barely get the three count as Thesz kicked out of it a split second too late.
Morpheus defeated Lou Thesz by a Sunset Flip Pinfall at the 6 minute mark to advance on.
(Even though this was a relatively short match, it was gritty and well fought. Both combatants got standing ovations from their respective fan bases. The heightened securtity now started to filter into the arena for the start of the main event title match).

An extremely hard fought contest inside and outside the ring on both sides, with the superior tag team skills going to the Hooligans especially by keeping the big man out of the match. But once Giant Baba got into the ring, it was all hands on deck to try to save the match. This spectacular Time Limit Draw ended just after Jimmy Snuka had Rocky Romero beat courtesy of his SUPERFLY LEAP, only to have The Unpredictable Johnny Rodz provide a match saving distraction.
World Tag Team Champions Giant Baba & Jimmy Snuka wrestled The Forever Hooligans - Alex Koslov & Rocky Romero to a 30 Minute Time Limit Draw and retained their titles in a version three title defense.

During the middle of the night, a lone tugboat slowly and as quietly as it could - chugged down a narrow waterway that seperates New Jersey from Staten Island, on the opposite side of Staten Island from the Black Death Hoffman and Swineburn Islands, The Arthur Kill.
As it turned a bend that was near it's destination, the tugboat cut it's engines and started to drift forwards. Under a blanket of moonlight, the tugboat coasted towards the Arthur Kill Ship Graveyard, where approximately 100 ships have gone to sit and slowly die - and now a property also owned by Abroz.
The largest of these ships is a very old Staten Island Ferry which has a faint amount of lights emanating from within it. The tugboat coasted to the ferry boats side and members of The Black Deaths 24, (who were resurrected from the dead), climbed abord the large ferry and started the slow process of loading the explosives that The Black Death have prepared - with tremendous amounts of the Black Death disease contained within each cannister.
At this point, Wolf and Lope released their grips from the side of the tugboat and swam underneath the water to the shore of Staten Island, where they stealthily climbed onto the shore and started their search for a phone they could use to contact Sky Low Low and explain the full situation as to what Black Death appears to be planning.
From their vantage point on the shore, they witnessed the old ferry boat roar to life and with members of 24 on board - actually pull itself out of the mud and start to head south - where it was going is just anyones guess...

Thantos (As he and The Queen of the Night are getting dressed and plan on leaving their hotel room that looks out over Manhattan's Central Park) - I'll ask you again...what did Drury say?
Queen of the Night - Members of The Maffei have a bomb planted on Earth's Moon per his orders...he somehow knows that the Castilex invasion fleet is currently sitting on it's dark side.
Thantos - Okay.
Queen of the Night - If there are any signs of movement by the fleet - he will detonate the bomb.
Thantos - What kind of bomb are we talking about?
Queen of the Night - A bomb that will destroy the Moon as well as the entire fleet...we have to meet with Drury and his people in two hours if we want to save the fleet.
Thantos - Where?
Queen of the Night - A private party room inside that rock club - Black's Coven...we have to brainstorm and quick so we can counter this.
(Thantos cell phone rings - he picked it up seeing that it was Morpheus. After putting Morpheus on speaker phone - Thantos, Queen of the Night and Morpheus catch each other up - Morpheus learns of the bomb planted on the Moon and Thantos & The Queen learn of Morpheus having set up Drury to be under surveillance by an anonymous someone. After Morpheus agrees to grab Encubus & meet up with Thantos and The Queen he kept trying to explain):
Morpheus (once he could finally get a word in edgewise with a furious Queen and his biological son who was getting pissy that Morpheus acted on his own accord) - I've got some serious news for both of you...the bomb on the Moon is not the one we really need to concern ourselves with...the one on Castilex's Moon is the real problem.
(3 of 3) The Unknown Soldiers:

Underneath the island of Manhattan, is one of the vastest networks of city sewers, miles and miles of labyrinths and even some cavens in some of the creepier spots.
There were 5 principal and immense areas within this gigantic sewer system where they all propagated. 3 of them were started and overseen by Gustav (The Belt Parkway Zombie) and 2 were initiated by Gustavs second in command if you will - another soon to be wrestler for The League - Evil Dead.
At all 5 of these underground areas inhabited large and increasing amounts of Zombies, who have all pledged allegiance to The Prince of Darkness - Kevin Sullivan and his second in command - Murdok - The Harvesterof Sorrow. This newly and secretly recruited Zombie Army consisted of the outcasts, criminals and all the parts of society that it tries it's hardest to forget.
As the immense and aquatic Deadline (with a scuba-geared Plethador sitting on his back), finally swam out of the sewer system and surfaced into the East River right underneath the Brooklyn Bridge, Plethador's mind was racing. One or two zombies was one thing, but now there were several thousand accumulating undetneath the streets of Manhattan.
Murdok has been under surveillance ever since Sky Low Low almost shot him at that meeting in Sullivans weird mansion, thought Plethador. But someone definitely initiated all of this - more than likely Gustav - who even circumvented the contract Loophole wrote up to tie up Murdok's hands from doing this. This must have been Kevin Sullivan's plan all along.
Going to have to round up Afghanistan Bananastan on this one for damn sure...and fast.

As always Bri, amazing stuff.....I'm not sure how long Eris will stick with Aphrodite (two totally different personalities) but they should be an interesting team. Loved most of the results...well not Greg beating Mountie.....and the extracurricular stuff is always amazing and one thing that really separates this fed from others out there.

Another amazing night of action from LXG. Baba & Snuka vs. Forever Hooligans was great and what a result going to a 30:00 draw. Baba & Snuka have been solid as the tag champs. Lou Thesz vs. Morpheus was great and what a surprise finish as Thesz goes down in defeat. Bruiser Brody over Bryan Danielson in the No DQ match and then turning around that surprise attack was great. Classic Brody on the warpath. I think Gargano and Lethal are still running. William Muldoon over Tyler Black was not a surprise but I didn't realize just how good Muldoon is doing and how bad Black is. That is a shocker. So much else to love on this show from the Road Warriors vs. Wild Samoans to more poetry from Jim Morrison. LXG is the place to be my friend.

Have to agree with TTX - Definitely not happy with the Mountie losing to Valentine... And even though I'm obviously a big fan of the Family, wasn't disappointed with Matt Cross (one of my favorite indy stars) scoring an exciting win over Keith Blood... Some great points made by cruefan68 as well... Brody is a beast and it's kinda surprising how swiftly Tyler Black is falling in the ranks... Also pleased that Trish was able to knock Wince out of the Commissioner's Tournament... That being said, it looks like something ominous might be heading towards the LXG for the Lucky 13 PPV... Storytelling at its finest... Excellent work! |
