Weird AlNope - sorry. Does nothing for me. Elvis PresleyWas never into Elvis but 'Suspicious Minds' is a great song. The DoorsI love The Doors. When people ask: "Beatles or Stones?", I answer "The Doors". - Light My Fire
- Crystal Ship
- The End
- When the Music's Over
- L.A. Woman
So hard to narrow it to five. I could put the whole 'Waiting for the Sun' album on here. Nice to see a favorite five from Swarm on The Cars. Growing up in the 80's the songs and music videos by The Cars are a memorable part of that time for me. aceldamas, that response to The Beatles or The Stones is awesome - The Doors! I like all three bands but being a huge fan of The Doors I always feel that there is some level of disrespect for them when it comes to people discussing the greatest bands in rock history. They finished at #19 in a VH1 countdown a few years back and I considered that laughable. No disrespect to the other bands on the list but yeah there is no way they are that far down on any list of the greatest bands of all time. They had an electrifying lead singer in Jim Morrison, an amazing trio of musicians (Ray Manzarek, Robby Krieger & John Densmore) backing him and one of the more unique song catalogs of any era of music. I felt the same when making up my Doors favorite five as there are too many too list but I'm finding that with a lot of the bands. I guess that is part of the fun of this topic.
