Some hard-hitting action from Hamilton! That looked like a fun battle royal to roll up.

Thanks for the comments Pariah and aceldamas The battle royal was indeed a lot of fun. I really enjoyed that there was no one competitor that dominated the early action and that the eliminations will well spread out. I thought it was awesome that the Suicide Kings eliminated all the members of SCUM in a row which was particularly cool considering that the parings were drawn completely at random from a shuffled deck of cards. As Pariah had mentioned, it really build the heat between the two sides. I really was pulling for Robert Anthony to pull out the upset but the finish, including the table spot, more than made up for it. I can really see how I am going to book out that next three to four cards and I am looking forward to see where the dice take the SCUM v. Suicide Kings conflict. I hope to have the next card posted tomorrow.

The Battle Royal on Card 03 was pretty intense and I am psyched to see the "Man Beast" Rhino emerge victorious to take the Pride of Fight Championship. There was some great talent in that ring and on the card which was a solid show.

Card 04 – Ontario Wresting Network – Pride of Fight presents “The Gauntlet” – Christopher’s Banquet Hall, Hamilton, ON
Greg Excellent v. Drew Gulak Excellent gets Gulak in trouble early on battering him in and out of the ring much to the pleasure of the fans. Gulak survives a TIGER DRIVER and then manages to counter a deathjump attempt with a superplex. However, Gulak cannot keep the action on the mat and eventually falls to a second TIGER DRIVER. 1.5
No-Disqualification/No Count-Out – Masada v. Arik Royal This one was the war that you would expect. The early action saw Royal in control and he kept the match between the ropes picking up near falls after each of the three KURT COBAIN SICK KICKS. The fans began to wonder if Masada would unleash his violence at all in the match but soon the action found its way out of the ring and then the mayhem began. Both men ate chairs and the ring post at various points and soon were a bloody mess. The fight spilled into the crowd and back into the ring. Twice Royal kicked out after back to back two MASADAMIZERS. Masada suplexed Royal onto a ladder and ringside lost their minds. Back in the ring, Masada got caught on the top and was body slammed by Royal off the top onto the ladder which brought out more chants. To The Last Drop and Masada was in trouble allowing Royal to put him away with an atomic drop/backbreaker combo. 5.0
Danny Havoc v. “Wrestling’s Worst Nightmare” Kevin Steen Steen pushed around Havoc early on but things turned when Havoc put Steen through a table at ringside which again brought the fans to their feet chanting. Havoc then went to work hitting Steen with GENERAL ORDER 24 and TOTAL HAVOC twice each without being able to finish the match. After some crazy brawling on the floor, SCUM came to Steen’s rescue after Havoc hit TOTAL HAVOC but the Suicide Kings joined the battle and things were chaos. Havoc hit Steen with GENERAL ORDER 24 and scored the pin despite the brawling taking place outside the ring. 3.0
Pride of Fight Tag Team Title Gauntlet – Briscoe Brothers (Mark Briscoe & Jay Briscoe) v. Philly’s Most Wanted This one was a war from start to finish. Jeez was cut off by the Briscoe Brothers for a stretch but Dem Boys could not put him away. Joker was able to turn the momentum and really took it to Jay Briscoe. The match would have been over if it were not for the pin save of Mark Briscoe after a JOKER DRIVER. Mark Briscoe manages to get back into the match but Philly’s Most Wanted maintains the advantage and beats Briscoe from corner to corner including a Magnitude Bomb and Million Dollar Dropkick. A BLK JESUS WALKS would have won it for Philly’s Most Wanted but a timely save by Jay Briscoe keeps the action going. The Briscoe finally get something going and cut off Joker from his corner. Joker takes a SLINGSHOT LARIAT and is saved after a DOOMSDAY DEVICE and JAY DRILLER but Jeez but a second JAY DRILLER advances the Briscoe Brothers. 4.0
Pride of Fight Tag Team Title Gauntlet – Briscoe Brothers (Mark Briscoe & Jay Briscoe) v. Philly’s Most Wanted v. Osirian Portal (Amasis & Ophidian) The fans were wondering how much the Briscoe Brothers would have left after their first match battle (starting six fatigue each!). The pace is very quick at the outset and this favours the Portal. Jay Briscoe gets the advantage but the Portal make a series of defensive tags to turn the match. Amasis and Briscoe put together a run of five counters which ends with a Twist of Funk from Amasis to Briscoe and it is enough for the three count. 1.0
Pride of Fight Tag Team Title Gauntlet – Osirian Portal (Amasis & Ophidian) v. SCUM (“Zombie Princess” Jimmy Jacobs & “King of Old School” Steve Corino) Ophidian shows he can mix it up with the best of them when he rams Corino’s face off the ringside table but Corino catches Ophidian on the top and tosses him to the mat. An OLD SCHOOL LARIAT follows for a near fall. Jacobs tags in with his own deathjump smash and then nails OPHIDIAN with a RAILROAD SPIKE for the controversial victory. 1.5
Pride of Fight Tag Team Title Gauntlet – SCUM (“Zombie Princess” Jimmy Jacobs & “King of Old School” Steve Corino) v. Suicide Kings (Eddie Kingston & Drake Younger) These two teams came to fight and the blows fly fast and furious from the outset. Kingston wins a chop battle against Corino. Corino comes back blasting Kingston with a foreign object busting him open. These leads to THE END OF TIME from Jacobs but Kingston hangs on. Kingston runs Jacobs into the ring post busting him open but cannot put him away with a SLIDING D. Kevin Steen appears at ringside and his interference turns the momentum. Danny Havoc is out to counter. Younger goes through a table and the fans lose their minds. However, Jacobs cannot put Younger away even after hitting Younger with his RAILROAD SPIKE. The referee is clearly letting things go but Corino takes things too far when he refuses to stop choking out Younger with a chair at ringside. The bells sounds and the match is awarded to Kingston and Younger via disqualification. SCUM lay out the Suicide Kings and leave the new champions and Havoc in a heap in the middle of the ring walking off with the tag team title belts. 2.5
Pride of Fight Championship – Rhino [c] v. DJ Hyde Talk about two bulls in the ring. Both men try the power moves from the outset. Rhino manages to counter a suplex attempt and then hits back to back scoop powerslams and a side belly-to-belly suplex. Hyde counters back with a suplex of his own this time getting the champion over and then hits a clothesline in the corner that winds Rhino enough to allow Hyde to execute a SHADOW DRIVER and he have a new champion! Huge heat for Hyde has hoists the title belt up . 1.0
Notes: Pride of Fight will return to action on Card 08 with Fighter’s Paradise from The Rock Pile in Toronto featuring the return to action from suspension of DUF and the return from injury of A.R. Fox. Fox will no doubt be looking for some payback for his injury at the hands of DUF but how will address the seemingly impossible odds of four against one? We can also expect both the Pride of Fight Tag Team Championship and the Pride of Fight Championship to be defended on Card 08. David Marquez has also announced a rematch from tonight with Arik Royal again clashes with Masada in another no-disqualification/no count-out showdown.
Up next, Pride of Wrestling presents their first card, POW 01 Richards v. Generico • Former partners Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly clash in singles action • In a Trios Challenge, The Colony battles Team FIST • Rhett Titus will be action against Juan Francisco De Coronado • Eddie Edwards faces the challenge of Claudio Castagnoli • Michael Elgin steps into the ring against Bryan Danielson • Wrestling’s Greatest Tag Team meet Quacksaw • Roderick Strong takes on Jay Lethal • El Genercio goes one on one with Davey Richards in the main event

Well short run for Rhino that's for sure......SCUM didn't win but they definitely had an effect, big upset by Havoc as well.

A technical victory for Suicide Kings turns them into champions while SCUM walk out looking like the winners with the tag belts in their possession... This feud is escalating nicely...
Unfortunate that Rhino dropped the Pride of Fight title already... The dice are fickle, but do not lie...
Excellent show!

Well that didn't last long! Rhino already drops the gold but congrats to DJ Hyde on his win. Excellent card Bookerbill and I am looking forward to that upcoming bout between El Generico and Davey Richards.

Card 05 – Ontario Wresting Network – Pride of Wrestling presents “POW 01 Richards v. Generico” – Vanier Columbus Club, Ottawa, ON
Rhett Titus v. Juan Francisco De Coronado Titus looked very impressive in this one from the opening bell using his size advantage to really punish De Coronado at times. However, Titus was not able to put the finishing touches on his opponent despite picking up two near falls. This would prove costly. The finish came out of nowhere when De Coronado avoided a charge to the corner sending Titus crashing into the buckles with his own momentum setting up a roll up by De Coronado gaining the three count with his foot on the ropes for leverage. Great heat for De Coronado after the match. 2.0
Trios Challenge – The Colony (Green Ant, Fire Ant & Solider Ant) v. Team FIST (Johnny Gargano, Chuck Taylor & Icarus) FIST looked impressive with their quick tags and they managed to cut off Green Ant from his corner allowing Icarus to nail back to back BLU-RAYS for a pair of near falls. Gargano then hit the HURTS DONUT and while FIST blocked the pin save, Gargano picked up the pinfall. 1.0
Adam Cole v. Kyle O’Reilly The pace to this one was off the charts as each competitor countered move after move showing they know each other very well. Cole looked impressive when he transitioned from a neckbreaker counter straight into a FLORIDA KEY for a big near fall. The action when back and forth until O’Reilly moves from a snap suplex straight into a GUILLOTINE CHOKE to get the submission victory. 2.0
Quacksaw (“Lightning” Mike Quackenbush & Jigsaw) v. Wrestling’s Greatest Tag Team (Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas) Wrestling’s Greatest cut off Quackenbush immediately and went work. Hass earned some solid heat when cracked Quackenbush with a chair at ringside. Later, he rammed Quackenbush back first into the post leading to a near count out finish. Benjamin used similar tactics taking his own chair to Quackenbush but the referee had finally seen enough and made the disqualification call. The fans really gave it to Benjamin and Haas as they left the ring. 1.0
“Unbreakable” Michael Elgin w/Truth Martini v. Bryan Danielson Great heel promo from Martini before the match putting over himself and the S.O.H.O.T. Elgin looked like a tank in the ring against his smaller opponent and things did not go well for Danielson from the open bell when Elgin countered a running knee strike with a spinning backfist that nearly knocked Danielson out. Deadlift Powerbomb crushed the remaining fight from Danielson and Elgin put him away with a SPINNING SIT-OUT POWERBOMB. No offense from Danielson in this one at all. D
Roderick Strong w/Truth Martini v. Jay Lethal More from Martini who has epic heat now. Lethal responses to the fans support by taking the battle to Strong from the opening bell dominating the action in and out of the ring. Martini is frantic and the fans love it. A dragon suplex gets a near fall as Lethal begins to hit his signature spots including Hail to the King. The action goes back outside and Strong manages reverse a whip sending Lethal into the ring post. Lethal is on dream street and Strong puts him away moments later with a STRONG HOLD. 1.5
“Die Hard” Eddie Edwards v. Claudio Castagnoli Castagnoli looked nearly unbeatable early on in this one as he had an answer for everything Edwards tried. At one point, Castagnoli blocked a deathjump smash with a Roaring European Uppercut that lead to a huge near fall. There was some controversy in this one when the referee went down. With the official out of action, Edwards stepped up his attack and twice had Castagnoli on the mat following a DIE HARD with no one to make the three count. Edwards hit a third DIE HARD just as the referee recovered and picked up the comeback win. 3.5
“American Wolf” Davey Richards v. El Generico The atmosphere at ringside was off the charts with plenty of chanting. Richards when to work with suplexes and a suicide dive to the floor. Kicked to death landed twice and took a toll on Generico. The fans picked things up and Generico responded with a passionate comeback. Richards struggled out of BRAINBUSTAAAHHH!!! but Generico kept coming hitting back to back to back SPIKE BRAINBUSTERS without getting the victory. The fans could not believe it. The pace continued as the action when back and forth. A exploder suplex into turnbuckles turned the momentum in favour of Generico and picked up the victory after a BRAINBUSTAAAHHH!!! 4.0
Notes: Another fun card to play. Really enjoyed the comeback by Edwards and victory by Coronado. The main event was a blast to roll out.
Up next, another show from Pride of Wrestling in the Ottawa area featuring the following matches: • Rhett Titus takes on Michael Elgin • Claudio Castagnoli meets El Generico • Green Ant will be in singles action against Juan Francisco De Coronado • Roderick Strong will battle Mike Quackenbush • Colony faces Teat FIST in tag team action • In a rematch from tonight, Kyle O’Reilly takes on Adam Cole • Icarus makes his singles debut against Jay Lethal • American Wolves face Wrestling’s Greatest Tag Team in the main event

That main event looked utterly spectacular and I can only imagine what the fatigue token count must have looked like when all was said and done...
Unfortunate that Danielson got squashed by Elgin... Gives Truth Martini more ammo for his obnoxious behavior...
Excellent show!
