Card 06 – Ontario Wresting Network – Pride of Wrestling presents “POW 02 Wolves v. WGTT v. Generico” – SPK Dom Polski, Polish Combatants Centre, Ottawa, ON
Green Ant v. Juan Francisco De Coronado This one went a while. De Coronado gained an early advantage but Ant survived back to back CORONADO CLUTCHES. Later in the match, Ant went on an impressive run that included a Chikara Special setting up a Deathjump Smash leading to the CLOVERLEAF but Coronado made the ropes to stay alive. Coronado was able to make good use of his flying clotheslines and eventually uses a Ecuaplex to set up another CORANDO CLUTCH for the victory. 2.5
Rhett Titus v. “Unbreakable” Michael Elgin w/Truth Martini Solid promo from Martini gets the crowd on edge. This one was very competitive. Titus looked very impressive when the pace was quick but when things slowed down, Elgin’s power took center stage. Elgin was not able to put away Titus after a SPINNING SIT-OUT POWERBOMB and the kick out got the fans really into the balance of the action. Titus gained a near fall after Sex Factor but could not hit his own finisher. The action ended at ringside when Martini tried to deck Titus with the Book of Truth but Titus countered, grabbed the book and decked Elgin causing a disqualification. Both men brawled to the back after the match. 2.5
Team FIST (Johnny Gargano & Chuck Taylor) v. The Colony (Fire Ant & Solider Ant) The action went back and forth between these two evenly matched teams from beginning to end. Plenty of defensive tags as you would expect. Twice Gargano hits his HURTS DONUT but could not come away with the win. The Colony later took out Gargano with ANTS GO MARCHING but Taylor was there for the timely pin save. The move took a lot out of Gargano however and the Colony capitalized not letting Gargano make a tag. Taylor saved his partner from a BEACH BREAK and then Gargano surived another BEACH BREAK on his own but he could not survive a TKO from Solider Ant and the Colony go over clean. 2.5
Jay Lethal v. Icarus Lethal looks very impressive early on but Icarus turns things around when a kick to the knee is countered with an Emerald Fusion. Lethal gets tossed to the floor where Icarus smashes him with a chair across the back ending the match via disqualification. 1.0
Adam Cole v. Kyle O’Reilly This one starts at a quick pace and goes back to forth. O’Reilly counters a clothesline in the corner with one his own but it is Cole who is up first and hits back to back to back FLORIDA KEYS for the three count. 1.0
“Lightning” Mike Quackenbush v. Roderick Strong w/Truth Martini Another heat gaining promo from Martini fires the fans up and Strong makes sure they have very little to cheer about dominating the action from the opening bell. Quackenbush makes the ropes to get out of a STRONG HOLD but he can get little offense in aside from a Black Tornado Slam that goes nowhere. Strong catches Quackenbush with a Gibson Driver that forces Quackenbush to the floor and when he gets back into the ring a SICK KICK ends it. 1.5
Claudio Castagnoli v. El Generico The Ole Chant is alive in and well and the fans are solidly behind the masked Generico from the opening bell. It is back and forth. They go to the floor and Castagnoli eats a ringside table which the fans love. Back in the ring, Castagnoli overpowers Generico. He cracks Generico with a chair across the back earning huge heat but Generico is able to lift a shoulder at 2 ¾ after a RICOLA BOMB. Castagnoli goes to the top but Generico superplexes him to the mat. Generico then executes a BRAINBUSTAAAHHH!!! and the fans count to three. 2.5
American Wolves (“American Wolf” Davey Richards & “Die Hard” Eddie Edwards) v. Wrestling’s Greatest Tag Team (Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas) Haas gets the early advantage on Edwards and twice attempts a submission with a HAAS OF PAIN but Edwards manages to make the ropes. Benjamin keeps the pressure on with a pair of PAYDIRTS but Richards makes the save both times. Benjamin hits his finished a third time and this time Richards cannot make the save. Dominating outing by Wrestling’s Greatest! 1.5
Notes: What an incredible pair of cards for El Generico with the fans being treated to back to back BRAINBUSTAAAHHH!!! finishes. Generico has to be considered a front runner to claim the Pride of Wrestling Title. Speaking of which, Pride of Wrestling returns in a big way on Card 11 when they present the first of a three night 24 man tournament to determine the first Pride of Wrestling Champion (think BOLA!). Speaking of great performances, how about back to back wins for Juan Francisco De Coronado. Certainly he has earned an appearance in the title tournament. The stock of Roderick Strong also appears on the rise as well just in time for the title tournament.
Up next, Elite Women’s Athletics from the Alpine Club in Kitchener featuring the following matches: • Kellie Skater steps into action against Veda Scott • Queens of Wrestling will be tested when they face Canadian Ninjas • Leva Bates looks to gain some singles momentum against Jessie McKay • In a battle of two extreme ladies, Lufisto faces Christina Von Eerie • In rematch from Volume 1, Mia Yim faces Daizee Haze • Another big rematch will see Athena battle Mercedes Martinez • In a number one contenders match, MsChif takes on Saraya Knight • Madison Eagles will defend the Elite Title against Cheerleader Melissa in the main event

Loved the big victory by El Generico over Davey Richards. That sounded like a classic. Generico then follows it up with a big win over Claudio Castagnoli so make it two awesome wins for the masked man. This fed is going great so far it looks like you have hit on a good one here. Looking forward to more action from OWN.

El Generico has certainly been on fire and I'm excited to see how he makes out in that big upcoming tournament to crown the first PoW champion... Also pleased that Cole was able to pull out a victory against O'Reilly... Looks like it was a close one...
Gotta be impressed with JFdC... Especially running under the assumption that you're using his original NPWD card...
Fun stuff, as always!

Card 07 – Elite Women’s Athletics – Volume 2 – Alpine Club in Kitchener
Veda Scott v. Kellie Skater Skater struggled from the outset of this one as Scott was able to execute a punishing looking German suplex followed by a pair of Q.E.D.s for the one sided victory. D
Canadian Ninjas (Portia Perez & Nicole Mathews) v. Queens of Winning (Courtney Rush & Sara Del Rey) The story in this one was the beating that Del Rey took early on. The Ninjas hit FUNKY COLD MEDINA and later two VANCOUVER MANEUVERS but could not put Del Rey away. Rush saved her partner from a third VANCOUVER MANEUVER and her hot tag was cut short by the overwhelming offense of the Ninjas. Rus h did manage to have a flurry against Perez that ended with a near fall off of an OLYMPIC SLAM but the Ninjas regained control following that. The finish came out of a brawl on the floor where Rush reversed a whip and sent Matthews into the ring post. Back inside, Del Rey tagged in an stunned the fans by getting the win with a ROYAL BUTTERFLY (snake eyes!) for the incredible comeback win. 3.0
Leva Bates v. Jessie McKay McKay was not messing around counter attacking quickly which lead into a BOYFRIEND STEALER followed by SCHOOL GIRL CRUSH for the dominating victory in only a few moves. D
Lufisto v. Christina Von Eerie Von Eerie lights up ringside with an early face slap and the action takes off from that point. Both ladies fight in and out of the ring with no clear advantage. During a brawl on the floor, Von Eerie ducks a spinning backfist the referee takes the blow. Lufisto is disqualified but neither competitor cares as the fight continues back into the locker room. 1.0
Kimber Lee is interviewed by Amber Gertner but is quickly attacked from behind by Su Yung which results in Lee being injured by a TORNADO DDT.
Daizee Haze v. Mia Yim Haze is fired up and the fans love it. The action quickly spills to the floor and the ladies refuse to stop brawling long enough to get back into the ring and as a result, the referee calls for a double disqualification. D.
Athena v. Mercedes Martinez Martinez comes out strong and uses brutal to do some significant damage but she cannot get the win. Athena turns things around with her agility and completes her comeback with a second O-FACE. 2.5
Number One Contenders Match - Saraya Knight v. MsChif Knight gains an early advantage but cannot get the win with a KNIGHTMARE. MsChif begins to comeback and the two ladies go move for move. MsChif is tossed outside. Knight comes out but MsChif is ready and choke slams Knight through a ringside table. Ringside loses their minds and MsChif loses the match via disqualification. Knight is down in a heap but will get the next shot at the Elite Title. 1.5
Elite Title Match – Madison Eagles (ch) v. Cheerleader Melissa This was closely contested and got violent before all was said and done. The champions gained the upper hand and dictated much of the offense in the ring. Melissa was never really in trouble however. The action spilled to the floor and Eagles drew some gasps when she used a piece of the broken table from the previous match to attack Melissa. It did not lead to a victory however as Melissa returned the favour a few minutes later and then nails curb stomp to capture the title [snake eyes!] 2.0
Notes: The competitors of Elite Women’s Athletics showed that they could take things to the extreme tonight with plenty of disqualifications and a broken table being a factor in the outcome in the main event. We have a new champion and a new number one contender so the table is set for the main event of the next EWA card. Fans will not have to wait long for the action as Elite Women’s Athletics will be back in action on card 09 and will feature Cheerleader Melissa defending her title in the main event against Saraya Knight. As well, in a rematch from tonight’s show stealer, the Canadian Ninja’s square off against Queens of Wrestling. Also in tag team action, Lufisto will team with Daizee Haze to take on Christina Von Eerie and Mia Yim in a battle of unusual pairings. Plus, Athena meets Mercedes Martinez in an effort to finally settle things between the two competitors.
Before we get to that card, up next will be action from Pride of Fight as they present Fighter’s Paradise from the Rockpile in Toronto featuring the following matches: • Delirious takes on Brody Lee in a battle of contrasting styles • The Briscoe Brothers will be looking for some payback against the team that eliminated them from the Tag Team Tile Gauntlet when they meet the Osirian Portal • In rematch from The Gauntlet, Adam Cole faces Robert Anthony • Another huge rematch from the Gauntlet will see Kevin Steen once again battle Danny Havoc. The last encounter was full of mayhem and this one should be no different • After tearing the house down at the last card, Masada and Arik Royal will again square off in a no disqualification/no-count out match • Still no word as to who will partner up with A.R. Fox against DUF in eight man tag team action • In a rematch from the finals of the Tag Team Gauntlet, SCUM challenges Suicide Kings for the Pride of Fight Tag Team Titles • DJ Hyde defends the Pride of Fight Championship in the main of event against former champion Rhino

A great night of ladies action and extreme action at that. I loved seeing Cheerleader Melissa claim the gold beating Madison Eagles hardcore style in the main event. Melissa needs to look over her shoulder, though, as Saraya Knight is waiting for her opportunity. Best match of the night was Sara Del Ray & Courtney Rush picking up a huge win over the Canadian Ninjas.

Card 08 – Ontario Wresting Network – Pride of Fight presents “Fighter’s Paradise” The Rockpile, Toronto, ON
Delirious v. Brodie Lee Lee dominated this one with his power from the outset both in and out of the ring but Delirious was able to survive multiple BIG BOOTS and hang in long enough to frustrate his larger opponent. Lee took things too far when he grabbed a chair and smashed Delirious with it several times at ringside earning a disqualification. 2.5
Osirian Portal (Amasis & Ophidian) v. Briscoe Brothers (Mark Briscoe & Jay Briscoe) The story in this one was the Briscoe Brothers beating the Portal from post to post hitting them with everything but the Portal continued to find a way to narrowly avoid defeat again and again. Amasis took an epic beating early on including a pair of DOUBLE FOOTBALL TACKLES and a two CUT-THROAT DRIVERS. Later, it was Ophidian who was on the receiving end of more DOUBLE FOOTBALL TACKLES and a SLINGSHOT LARIAT. The Briscoe managed to cut off Amasis again and Mark Briscoe put Amasis through a table in a move that blew up ringside. The end came when Jay Briscoe crushed Amasis wit back to back JAY DRILLERS and took the three count. Huge ovation for both teams after this one and a handshake from the Briscoe Brothers in a show of respect. 3.5
Adam Cole w/Mia Yim v. Robert Anthony Cole gains control of this one on the outside thanks largely to a well-timed kick from Yim and Anthony is not able to recover. The end comes with a PANAMA SUNRISE. The fans hate Cole. 1.0
“Wrestling’s Worst Nightmare” Kevin Steen v. Danny Havoc There was incredible intensity between these two from the opening bell. Steen overpowered early but Havoc came back getting in two TOTAL HAVOCS but not getting the victory. Havoc went to the top but Steen countered a deathjump cross body into a powerbomb for a huge near fall and then crushed Havoc with a PACKAGE PILEDRIVER for the three count. 2.5
“No Disqualification/No Count-Outs” Masada v. Arik Royal After exchanging punches and kicks, Masada stepped up the attack with a vertical suplex and high-angle belly to back suplex. Things went to the floor and they battled over a chair. Royal gained control and cracked Masada with the weapon busting him open. Masada never really recovered from the blow and Royal took full advantage nails two KURT COBAIN SICK KICKS and nearly getting the submission with a cloverleaf before ending it with an atomic drop/backbreaker combo. 2.0
DUF (Pinkie Sanchez, Sami Callihan & ACDC (Arik Cannon & Darin Corbin) v. A.R. Fox and ? Shane Hollister and Philly’s Most Wanted (BLK Jeez & Joker) come out to join Fox to make it four on four. The action in this one was non stop and the momentum was constantly changing. ACDC nearly ended it early against Fox with a Chuck Woolery’s Two and Two but Fox came back to nail Callihan with a suicide senton that rocked ringside. Callihan later came back into the match and nearly gained the submission on Joker with a STRETCH MUFFLER. Sanchez hit the BURNING SNICKLEFRITZ on Hollister but could not get the three count. The action went back and and forth until Corbin was cut off from his corner and Fox crushed him with a 450 SPLASH for the big pinfall. 3.5
Pride of Fight Tag Team Championship – Suicide Kings (Eddie Kingston & Drake Younger) [ch] v. SCUM (“Zombie Princess” Jimmy Jacobs & “King of Old School” Steve Corino) Despite the Suicide Kings being champions, it is SCUM who brings the title belts to the ring drawing great heat. Perhaps a mistake by SCUM as Kingston and Younger were fired up from the outset and battered their challengers from bell to bell. Jacobs when though a table courtesy of Kingston early on and the onslaught just got worse from that point. Younger added a Drake ‘n’Bake into the corner for good measure before Jacobs was able to get out the match. Younger nearly killed Corino with a DRAKE’S LANDING but Jacobs saved his partner. Jacobs saved Corino again after a BACKFIST TO THE FUTURE. Jacobs returned to the match but was clearly in no condition to compete. Younger put him away with a Fire thunder driver. Very little resistance put up by the challenges. 2.0
Pride of Fight Championship – DJ Hyde [ch] v. Rhino Rhino attempted to slow things down early on with a bear hug before Hyde took things outside and posted Rhino busting him open. Hyde capitalized with back to back SHADOW DRIVERS but could not put his challenger away. A Summoning Lariat did sufficient damage to lead to a third SHADOW DRIVER allowing Hyde to make a successful title defense. 1.0
Notes: Tonight proved to be paradise for some, not so much for others in Pride of Fight. Big wins tonight for the Suicide Kings who absolute destroyed SCUM in retaining their Tag Team Titles and physically regaining the title belts from Jacobs & Corino who are going to have to do some serious regrouping if they want to get back into the title picture. As well, Pride of Fight Champion DJ Hyde made his title defense against former champion Rhino look easy. His next challenge might not be as simple as Arik Royal will get his opportunity at the gold on Card 10, Declaration of Violence after a convincing second victory over Masada. Another competitor with a big win tonight is A.R. Fox who lead his side to victory against DUF in eight man action. David Marquez has already announced pair of bouts for Declaration of Violence between the two sides as Fox will join Philly’s Most Wanted in six man action against Sami Callihan & ACDC while Shane Hollister will take on Pinkie Sanchez in singles action. Look for Kevin Steen to continue his feud with Danny Havoc at the next event and David Marquez has received requests for rematches from both Robert Anthony and Brodie Lee.
Up next: Elite Women’s Athletics will present their third card in Oshawa with the following bouts signed • In singles action, former champion Madison Eagles faces Leva Bates • MsChif will be looking to get remain in title contention when she battles Veda Scott • Alison Danger will be in action against the always dangerous Jessie McKay • Su Yung makes her official in ring debut against Kellie Skater • In a rematch from the second show, Queens of Winning battle Canadian Ninjas • Athena will clash with Mercedes Martinez for the third straight card will both competitors looking to finally prove they are superior and move towards the top of the rankings • Mia Yim will team with Christina Von Eerie to take on Lufisto & Dazee Haze in a tag team match where anything could happen • Cheerleader Melissa defends the Elite Women’s Athletics Title against top contender Saraya Knight.
