Thanks for reading WTIC. Doing fed pickems can be tough considering the randomness of the dice at times, though much easier to pick champions as they receive a boost via 'champion's advantage' rules which in my fed are pretty steep. Champs use their Cage rating for Pins and must fail their pin roll twice in a row to be pinned.
I love 2087 era GWF almost to a fault. The characters, the art, just the entire aesthetic from the era is full of genre goodness. Tom was hitting homerun after homerun back in the old days. Even the post Chuck Carter years with Snelly are pretty great as well. It may the rose colored glasses of nostalgia, but the early stuff resonates pretty deeply with me and inspires me creatively on almost every level.
Not sure on his official history, but in my alternate universe, Zachary Carter was a ban era 'ham n egger' who is hired on by D.W.F around 2080 to host their monthly highlight show. He transitions to hosting the G.W.F's monthly Deimos Showcase and Closed-Circuit Holo-Vid events (PPVs). Eventually he'll replace commissioner Keller when he steps down and Caelum declines the position.
Just felt that Carter would be a good choice for the voice of the GWF during the early years in absence of any other obvious choices for the role and Keller and Caelum feel like perfect fits as the authority figures in the early days after both men retire from in-ring work.
Even though its a ways off, I'm already setting up Cordanus and the UFSP banning of the GWF in 2109 by having the roots of the friction between the GWF and UFSP stem from all the way back during the mid-2080s when Omega backs the DWF out of the All-Systems governing body and goes fully independent.
