Some nice old school action. 2087 continues to roll right along. I wish I had the time to do giant write-ups for my Arena shows the way I used to when I was younger, but I've been working 50 hours a week the last few months and that combined with other obligations, I only have time for the monthly DEIMOS SHOWCASE writeup.

That smaller, blue bold type threw me for a loop as I was reading, but it's all good!
Yeah, Life gets in the way of playing 10 fight cards a day sometimes, haha! Thank goodness I usually have the weekends free so I do up some Madden Football & my fed!
Looks great so far, so keep posting!

Since I don’t yet have a physical copy of INVASION 2088, I’m going to try and take my time with 2087 in the hopes that the set becomes available at some point either physically or via PDF. If push comes to shove, I’ll transition to Online for 2088, but I’d like to have the physical cards if possible.
Anyway, here are the last 2 arena shows before the last DEIMOS SHOWCASE prior tp the G.W.F embarking on its annual EARTH TOUR to close out the first quarter of 2087.
[2087009] GWF Wrestling @ MIMAS SPECTRUM – SATURN
1. Pulsar went over Genghis Kahn via DQ
2.Vanity & Killer Queen scored an exciting victory over The Estorians
3.Brute used the DECAPITATOR to defeat Renegade
4.Executioner and Commander Sam fought to a messy DOUBLE DQ
5. Pit Viper snuck passed Invincible Krakan (w/ Mutant) by DQ when Mutant’s interference backfired.
6.Exo-King & Mighty Grogan surprised The Greek Gods
7. Lord Nexus out-wrestled Star Warrior 2 Falls to 1 in a Best 2 Out of 3 Falls Exhibition
8.Comrade Terror, Mangus Destroyer of Humans, & Galaxian Champion, Thantos defeated Omega of Cetus, Wolf, & Code Enforcer in a Six-Man Saturn Street Fight when Terror pinned Wolf following ATOMIC WARHEAD on the arena floor.
[2087010] GWF Wrestling @ GALILEO CHATEAU – EUROPA MOON, JUPITER
1.Omega of Cetus easily handled Executioner
2.Massif & Mighty Grogan beat up the team of Vanity & Killer Queen
3.Crosscurrents got the best of The Flying Titans
4.The Neptunian Space Croppers escaped with a victory against Exo-King & Death Knight
5.Lord Nexus pinned Wolf
6.Invincible Krakan (w/Mutant) and Code Enforcer fought to a NO CONTEST
7.Star Warrior got the win over Comrade Terror by DQ
8.Commander Sam & The Greek Gods defeated Mangus Destroyer of Humans & Galaxian Tag Champions, The Gladiators

Early GWF action at its best, no doubt!
Nexus over not only Warrior but Wolf as well? Wow the dice sure were friendly to him this time around, wow!
Nicely played there, buddy!

I'd love to see new Classics sets released to fill out the huge gaps in the 12 years prior to 2087. I'm sure there are a lot of people who would happily pay for new Classics editions. Its such a cool era in GWF history. Not to mention we get Morpheus and Omega in their prime. Just a note--between Mike's Early Classics set and the Lost-Found Stars in the old Promoters, there are actually plenty of cards. I am running a classics fed now too (I am up to 2083), and I have way more wrestlers than I want to use. In any case, some cool stuff in this thread.

I'm booking him non-title against THANTOS at the next Deimos Showcase thanks to those 2 big victories. He upsets The Evil Gamemaster and he's earned himself a shot at the strap at some point during Earth Tour. Other guys who have looked good early have been Exo-King and The Space Croppers. I'm grooming King for his feud with Massif, but he's been racking up victories in singles action and may earn himself a tile shot before too long, especially if he comes out on top against Massif. As for the Croppers, they already got a tile shot on an arena show and came up short.

I consider it official even though technically its not. A lot of really cool Classics-style guys in that set. Tano and Rama are a favorite of mine. Hechilles is awesome as well. Those characters deserve to be rereleased in some form or fashion.

Thantos is the man in 2087. Guys like Star Warrior, Wolf, and Lord Nexus can compete with the Evil Gamemaster, but they're a step slightly below. Add to that the fact that Thantos receives 'champions advantage', and he's pretty tough to beat, especially considering he's always got an ace or two up his sleeve in the form of the Gladiators, Comrade Terror & Executioner, or any other member of the villain camp he's recruited to help him get the best of the Galaxian heroes on a particular show. Thantos is gonna hang onto the Galaxian strap come hell or high water - whatever it may take.
