A little world building ...
THE MAIN EVENT Headlines from across the cosmos
Q2.2087
TRILLIONARE ENTREPANEUR MAGNUS COLBY THROWS HIS HAT INTO THE RING - BUYS OUT AND CONSOLIDATES WRESTLING ACROSS THE EASTERN SYSTEMS
The big news that has had every wrestling fan across the cosmos talking this past week is the announcement of Mangus Colby's acquisition and consolidation of the various scattered Eastern-System pro-wrestling territories and circuits. Colby filed the proper incorporation paperwork several months prior. Following the approval of incorporation, Colby named the new entity the COLBY PREMIER CORPORATION just prior to the announcement of the sales and has set the CPC up as the parent company of the newly established promotion, EASTERN SYSTEMS WRESTLING.
Colby made the announcement at a special press conference from the luxurious MONTOCERO RINGWORLD CASINO & RESORT, of which he owns a percentage of. He went on record as saying that he hopes to lease out use of the Ringworld's famous Amphitheatre Coliseo for all future ESW events.
Colby then clarified why he decided to get into the business of pro-wrestling and nothing was off-topic or too taboo a subject. That was no more the case then when it came to his thoughts on what he called the GWF and it's parent company, PAN GALACTIC'S "illegal monopoly" on the business and sport of pro-wrestling. He said he hoped the ESW would be profitable within 2 years and a legit competitor to the "GWF monopoly" within 5 years and that his vast wealth and resources would be available to help build the new promotiom from the ground up. Colby added that he'd spare nothing in his pursuit of filling the ESW roster with top stars from across the Milky Way and beyond.
Colby closed the press conference by potentially ruffling a lot of feathers on Deimos when he offered an open invitation to all current and former GWF talent to come and join the him as the opposition. He promised that with him they'd make fortunes so vast they would be as kings and assured any talent considering jumping ship that the potential glory to be gained inside of the ring would be equally as lucrative.
Eastern Systems Wrestling is scheduled to open its doors in late 3rd quarter 2087. Neither Magnus Colby nor the ESW's parent company, the CPC, has announced what, if any potential talent they have been, or currently are, considering signing to deals to fill their as-of-yet, empty roster. Colby promised much more information on this new endevour in the months to come.

Who’s gonna jump ship to Eastern Systems Wrestling? With lucrative and possibly guaranteed contracts it sounds enticing to any wrestler in the solar system.

I've already given some of my plans for ESW away, at least from 2091 forward which does leave several game years to play with prior that. I'm trying to set up Colby for his entrance into the GWF during War Games and eventually the CPC and its war with the GWF way down the road. I plan to begin phasing out the Classics guys pretty soon here, so some.of them will likely show up in ESW along with some of the great old school boots released through the nGo sets as well as possibly some WGX talent. Id like to get some use out of several of the Dimension X classics guys, particularly Man of Power (Chaos), Matador, and of course, Paragon. So those guys might show up, which would make some sense considering what will happen down the road during the 2100's.

Woot.......Duke and Viper winning.....love seeing that especially over Proteus.....also fun to see Knight winning as well. Nice upset by King over Wolf. As Wolf.and Proteus are currently the tag champs, Viper and Pulsar have a claim to beating 1 1/2 of the current tag champs. Could ppssibly lead to at least a non title match not too far down the road. Exo King has been so up and down for me. One card hell score a big win over someone and then the next get beat handily. So far he has the edge on Massif in their feud but with King you never know when the bottom will drop out. Im officially a Duke of Destruction mark. I definitely plan on playing out his year end feud with King. Cant wait for that one.

And hey, I get why youre stoked to see DK pick up a win. He, along with Mutant, Pulsar, and to a lesser extent, Executioner, don't pick up a whole lot of wins during the early years until they all (save for Mutant) get their updates in future editions. I mark a little too whenever DK or Executioner pick up a win. Lol
