STARRCADE
12.24.2116 from Deimos Interplanetary Sports Arena
Elektra vs. Heart
Elektra defeated Heart with a snap DDT at 4:07
Match Rating: 1.50
Match Notes: The opener was short, but hotly contested, with each woman showing why she was invited to participate at Starrcade (even if it was "just" the opening match). The end came when Heart had Elektra on the ropes and climbed to the top turnbuckle for her BLACK DIAMOND. Heart lost her balance momentarily and had to steady herself, but the delay was long enough for Elektra to recover and duck out of the way when Heart finally went for her signature move. Heart struggled up to her knees and Elektra closed in, planting her opponent with a snap DDT for the pinfall.

The Originals vs. The Queendom
This match ended in a draw (no contest) at 0:00
Match Notes: The greatly-anticipated match between the former GWF superstars and the Queendom was thrown out before the opening bell, when Shann-ra and She Devil were jumped in the aisle by two new women, dressed as the Queen of Clubs and the Queen of Diamonds. Ecstasy and Agony quickly joined the fray, and the Originals suffered a four-on-two beat-down until the GWF Champion Velar rushed out, steel chair in hand, to send the newly-strengthened Queendom packing. As the four women retreated, each held up four fingers on her right hand, symbolizing either the number four or the points of a crown (or, perhaps, both).
Leviathan vs. Strike
Leviathan defeated Strike with an OVERFLOW at 5:00
Match Rating: 1.00
Match Notes: This match was thrown together by Commissioner Anaxis to fill time after the previous encounter's non-start. Leviathan overpowered her Aethran opponent quickly and never relented. Strike showed her resilience by kicking out after one OVERFLOW, but a second was too much for the Valkyrie to overcome and she ate the pinfall loss.

The A-List vs. Absolution
for the OWL Tag Team Championship
Velvet defeated Ambrosia with a FACE LIFT at 10:36
Match Rating: 3.50
Match Notes: Lacrimosa and Ambrosia were fighting not only for the titles, but for Ambrosia's career as they took on the reigning Tag Team Champions. With their backs against the wall, Absolution showed why they had earned a title shot, as they took the fight to the champs and earned near-falls on both Velvet and Amber with a variety of moves. Ambrosia made a tactical error in taking time away from the match to remove the pad from one of the top turnbuckles, allowing a weakened Amber to make a much-needed tag to her rested partner. Velvet charged into the ring, grabbed Ambrosia by the hair, and smashed the challenger's face into the exposed turnbuckle, breaking and bloodying her nose. Despite the injury, Ambrosia displayed incredible fortitude, kicking out from a number of pin attempts, including one after Amber's SUPERKICK caught her right in the injured nose. Nevertheless, Ambrosia was left reeling and when Velvet tagged in and hit her FACE LIFT, it was finally too much. Amber tripped up Lacrimosa as she attempted to make the save, and Velvet made the cover for the 1-2-3.

After the match was over, the champions celebrated all the way to the back while Lacrimosa was left to tend to her injured--and now retired--partner. As the rookie helped her partner to her feet, Ambrosia wheeled around and took Lacrimosa down with a clothesline. Ambrosia kicked and stomped Lacrimosa viciously, earning boos from the crowd until the beating was over. With Lacrimosa left laying in the ring, Ambrosia raised her arms in victory one last time. Despite her reputation and her heinous actions, the crowd rewarded her with the applause her lengthy career deserved--and Ambrosia responded by flipping them off before walking up the aisle for the last time.
Velar vs. Dallas
for the OWL Championship
Velar defeated Dallas with a figure four leg lock at 7:37
Match Rating: 4.00
Match Notes: The OWL's last match of 2116 was everything the fans could have wanted, as both champion and challenger gave it their all. As soon as the opening bell rang, the ladies charged into the center of the ring and began exchanging heated forearms until Dallas began to wear the champion down. Velar managed to kick out at two after a sudden LARIAT, and when Dallas hit another, the champ incredibly kicked out at one! Sensing the need for a change in strategy, Dallas climbed to the top rope, only to be intercepted by Velar, who slammed her to the mat. Dallas landed hard on her left side, damaging both her elbow and her knee. A quick HAMMERLOCK SLAM on Dallas' injured arm seemed to be the end as Velar made the cover and the referee dove into position for the count, but the challenger miraculously managed to roll her shoulder off the mat at two and nine-tenths. Another HAMMERLOCK SLAM almost spelled the end one more time, but Dallas was too close to the ropes and managed to drape a foot over the bottom strand. Enraged, Velar climbed to her feet, leaped into the air and came down with her foot on Dallas' knee. The Lunar cowgirl rolled away from the ropes in absolute agony, but managed to kick out when Velar attempted another pinfall. The champion continued attacking Dallas' knee, and once she was weakened, clamped on a figure four leg lock. Dallas refused to give up, struggling in vain to reach the ropes as the seconds ticked away. Ten, twenty, thirty...and finally, Dallas had enough; she was forced to submit, allowing Velar to close out 2116 with her championship reign intact.
