Really fun main event and enjoying the IB tag team even if they got disqualified. Hey TTX! Thanks man, very glad this last card was enjoyable. Not to give too much away, but The Inglorious Bastards will be forming 2/3rds of one of the eight Stable Wars teams. I'm really looking forward to how they do in it. Speaking of Stable Wars, I am going to be posting the background of team #2 next. After that comes the card I have really been waiting for to roll out. I am hoping to have GWA 25 rolled out and posted at some point tomorrow. Always appreciate you're input! |

After first convincing the wrestling world that Incognito, (aka Fritz Von Goering), has dissappeared without a trace, John Tolos went on to say that, "You're guess...as to his whereabouts...are as good as mine...for the record...and contrary to popular belief...I highly doubt that the masked wrestler formerly known as Incognito...even actually is...Fritz Von Goering".
Tolos also spun it that this masked wrestler Incognito The Second along with Incognito's former tag partner, Pampero Firpo, were the ones that approached him, to lead a team in Stable Wars.
If Tolos's team wins Stable Wars, he get's official power of attorney over Incoginto's 20% ownership and all his affairs and representation in The GWA, which although Incognito is nowhere to be found, he is still recognized as a 20% owner of the GWA.
Pampero Firpo is going along with John Tolos's plans because of his own personal loyalty to his mentor, the currently in hiding Incognito aka Fritz Von Goering, within Tolos's mansion.
But he really doesn't trust Tolos at all.
However, with Incognito The Second, he knows that as a team they can do some real damage together, and he knows I.T.S is of the same style of wrestler as he is. Firpo knows his actual name, but he is not telling.
Incognito himself is having a ball, while in hiding within Tolos's mansion. His day often consists of; alcohol, women, rich food and training & practicing within Tolos's basement gym and wrestling ring.
Not much is known about Incognito The Second, except that he's definitely a younger, taller, heavier and much stronger wrestler than Incognito is, and he is full of adrenaline - he rarely even sits.
Incognito The Second doesn't say much at all, a man of few syllables. He is very loyal to John Tolos, and when he does speak, he usually only says, "Who's Next".

Ordinarily, I like to post this fed with the match results, story and then the upcoming match/story announcements.
Since the first 24 cards were a set up to this card and story 25, and it's going to take me some time to roll & post the match results, I thought I'd post GWA a little out of order.
Up next is the story of GWA 25.
Hope it's worth the read!

Story - Chapter 25 - The Switching of The Golden Valkyries...Everthing Goes According To Plan...Unfortunately...
A Comedy & Tragedy In Three Acts

Act 1 - Hoboken's Seven:

The switching of The Golden Valkyries went off without a hitch, everything that was planned...happened just as they said it was going to happen:
▪ Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis & Angie Dickenson all performed their hearts out in honor of The Brooklyn Museum to act as a gigantic distraction in order to set up the switch...(aka The Sideshow)...They even did two encores, and drank an entire bottle of whiskey in the process.
▪ Joey Bishop (the plant within the museum as a part time worker), physically made the swappings of The Golden Valkyries during the show...(aka The Stagehand)...he wore chami cloth gloves...and moved as silently and as stealthily as a cat.
▪ From Stranglers office back in Queens, Sky Low Low gave the Yakuzas "replica" Valkyrie from the safe to Peter Lawford,...who was in his moustache and beard...posing as a homeless man...from the back alley of the deserted Sunnyside Gardens Arena...Lawford caught a cab from our somewhat grungy looking disguised cab driver Shirley Maclaine...who drove Lawford to the alley behind The Brooklyn Museum to drop off the replica Valkyrie to Joey Bishop...(aka The Roundabout - Part 1 of 2)...
▪ Joey Bishop stealthily gave the Norweigans "real" Valkyrie to a gorgeously dolled up Shirley Maclaine & Peter Lawford...now acting like they are lovers out on a date...and they gave the "real" Valkyrie back to Sky Low Low at Stranglers office... (aka The Roundabout - Part 2 of 2)...
It was almost comedic how easy a job it was for them... now officially known as Hoboken Seven's Final Job...by the people in the know...but as it was previously mentioned...everything went according to plan...unfortinately...
Act 2 - Where's That Whiskey?:

(The scene is Strangler Lewis's office back at Sunnyside Gardens Arena...within the office are The Head of Security, Little Beaver and Sky Low Low...Lawford and Maclaine had just left them...they were looking for a hotel...to celebrate...the rest of Hoboken's Seven have went their separate ways...as per they're usual practice).
Head of Security (as he and Little Beaver watch Sky Low Low holding the "real" Valkyrie that Lawford & Maclaine just delivered to them) - Thank God...I can't wait to see that damn thing safely locked within Strangler's safe...and we can put all of this...crazy business behind us...
Little Beaver (keeps looking at his brother Sky Low Low...Sky still hasn't put the Golden Valkyrie back into the safe...he is holding it within his hands...with a pensive look on his face) - Sky...(getting a little nervous) - Sky...what's wrong?
Sky Low Low (To Beav and Head of Security) - When I first picked up The Yakuza's Valkyrie...it didn't feel right to me...now that I pick this one up...this also doesn't feel right...to me...
Little Beaver (both anxious and confused now...Head of Security looks the same...with anger mixed in) - They don't feel right how?
Sky Low Low - I think...The Yakuza's felt too light...and this one...feels too heavy...(thinks for a second) - Beav...hand me that magnet on the side of the safe.
Little Beaver (hands the big magnet to Sky as he feels suddenly that his heart is in his throat) - Where's that bottle of whiskey?
Head of Security (very anxiously now) - Just what the hell is going on here?!?
Sky Low Low (ignoring him...now speaking more to Little Beaver) - Gold isn't magnetic...if this is the real...solid Golden Valkyrie...then this big magnet.. won't stick to it...
(What happened next produced a sound that made all of them sick to their stomachs...Sky held up the powerful magnet to the Golden Valkyrie statuette and with a loud...KA THUNK...it stuck to it immediately...and stuck to it well).
(Sky Low Low turned and looked his brother Little Beaver in the eyes...Little Beaver did the same to Sky)
Little Beaver (despite a fear of and real possibility of shitting himself) - Who told us...that Blassie and Von Goering inadvertently stole the replica instead of the real thing?
Sky Low Low - ...Tillet...(realizing the ruse)...Tillet set us up...
Head of Security (With a grotesque combination of smug self satisfaction and ultimate despair) - Congratulations...Sky...You just gave...the Yakuza's Real...Golden Valkyrie...back to the Norwegians...and gave the Yakuza...the God Damn...Yakuza!...THE NORWEGIANS BOGUS...REPLICA ONE!!
Sky Low Low (After now truly grasping the monumental severity of the situation...and as his brother Beav now lit and placed...a second lit cigarette within his own mouth) - ...Uh Oh...
Act 3 - Kongesangen - (aka "The Kings Song" in Norwegian):

The King of Norway (on the phone in the early a.m. following GWA 25) - My friend...The Kingdom owes you an overwhelming debt of gratitude...But just tell me...how did you know...that they would...well...not necessarily steal...but exchange the Valkyries?
Maurice Tillet (on the other end of the call) - I didn't know for sure...but I knew that I wouldn't hear anymore about The Valkyries past my initial conversation with Sky Low Low...which as a result of that talk...meant that he knew precisely...where the other Valkyrie was...I just know how he operates my friend...and I'm pretty sure...I know how he thinks...thank you...your highness for arranging the Norwegian exhibit...to be at The Brooklyn Museum during GWA 25...I was hoping that if we...set the stage...they would put on a show for us...
The King of Norway - It was no trouble...and my pleasure...I am truly sorry that your association...or friendship...with Mr. Low will have to suffer for this...this whole business since the war...has been a terrible thing...
Maurice Tillet - On the contrary...Sky and I have been playing a form of...intellectual chess now for many years...his people will most certainly be after him...and give him hell.. but now...however...it is most certainly his move...and that could mean...anything...
The King of Norway - Happy retirement...my friend...and thank you...for solving this case...
Maurice Tillet - Merci...now...I can truly...retire...

As to whether or not, the King makes a follow up appearance, I'm not sure. But he is one happy camper. Part of GWA 25 card results coming soon! |

1. The Crusher (6 fatigue with Serious Blood Loss) defeated John Pesek (2 fatigue) via Submission.
(Crusher forced Pesek to submit courtesy of his Stomach Claw at the 18 minute mark).
(Many in attendance didn't think the old man, John Pesek was going to last in this one, most of all The Crusher; but a pivotal and shocking moment came when John Pesek reversed Crushers Test of Strength and started rocking him. Although Pesek fought him tooth and nail and with both of his finishers, The Crusher held on, thru his delirium and blood loss, never letting go of that final hold...because he knew he was losing this).
(They both received standing ovations).

2. Rookie Giant Baba (1 fatigue) defeated John Tolos (1 fatigue) via Pinfall.
(Baba pinned Tolos courtesy of his NECKBREAKER DROP finisher at the 3 minute mark).
(John Tolos commanded the entire offense in this one until he started talking crap to Giant Baba, trying to get under his skin, about John Pesek being an "ancient embarrassment" inside the ring. Fueled and blinded by murderous rage, Baba; Chokeslammed Tolos ferociously into the first row, split seconds after the fans escaped the impact, & threw Tolos's limp body back into the ring and yelled out in Japanese as he hit his finisher).
(Although a good portion of the fans saw this quote un quote "heinous act" with prejudice in they're eyes, because it was done against an American, the referee sided with and asked Giant Baba what he said, but the ref was answered by a smiling John Pesek who suddenly appeared next to him in the ring).
(Pesek (who has been slowly learning Japanese) told the ref, "It was just three words..and they weren't Go Hug Yourself...)
(Which cracked the referee up. John Pesek raised his teammate's arm in the air in victory as Giant Baba was still so enraged that he started to experience tears of rage...the crowd started to come around now as well...as the referee slapped Tolos to revive him).

GWA HARDCORE CHAMPIONSHIP:

3. Rookie Giant Baba (1 fatigue, 1 successful escape of the cage & 1 unsuccessful escape attempt) defeated The Crusher (7 fatigue with Serious Blood Loss & 1 successful prevention of cage escape) via Climbing Out Of The Cage.
(Baba climbed out of the cage as a result of his NECKBREAKER DROP finisher at the 3 minute mark).
(The Crusher once again commanded the offense and tried to put the rookie away quickly, but Baba executed an out of nowhere Baba Chop that nailed The Crusher. Baba quickly tried to escape the cage, but with everything The Crusher had left in him, he scaled the wall in pursuit and prevented him; but this, coupled with the damage and blood loss he suffered at the hands of John Pesek, set up Giant Baba to put him away).
(Most, but not all, of the crowd now started to respected Giant Baba's ability and style as he knew The Crusher was done, but didn't torture him & word spread of him defending and retaliating against John Tolos in the prior match because of Tolos's attempts to disgrace John Pesek).
(As the referee handed Giant Baba The GWA Hardcore Championship Belt and John Pesek once again raised Giant Baba's arm at ringside...from his front row seat...Ming The Merciless...the Grand Master of The Yakuza...was in a total outrage...granted Giant Baba was never in the Yakuza...but he was initially trained by Rikidozan and quit on him...to go under the tutelage of this...John Pesek...)
(He...and Pesek...must pay for this insolence and outrage...thought Ming...)

Big upset by Baba knocking off Crusher. If Crusher is getting a new card, I'll be curious to see how different he is from the original.

I hear ya, even though Pesek really put it to the Crusher, I still thought that Baba had an uphill climb with this one. That's an interesting thought about Crushers eventual new color card.
