"I sat in the jury box in the front row and found myself gripping the armrests tightly. Though I was surrounded by well respected fellow jurists I couldn't help but think that we were also surrounded by some 200,000 plus bloodthirsty Aethreans with a strong desire to see the controversial defendant, Godsend, found guilty.
If we decide this case in favor of Godsend, declaring him not guilty of the murder of Commander Sam, how will they react? This could get deadly but on the other hand we have an obligation to hear all of the facts of the case and decide accordingly.
As we bear witness to a great night of action amidst the trial, perhaps all breathing a sigh of relief when Godsend lost to Tank and was even injured in the process, I can't help but think that we truly have his fate in our hands. It is important to listen to both sides and consider everything once the time comes to make our decision.
I say that now but how will I feel when the case is turned over to us? The pressure seems overwhelming. All I know is that we lost a good man in Commander Sam and the one that is on trial for it is a man with a penchant to take great pleasure in the misery of others. The days to come will be tough and I hope to be ready..."

Good opening arguments from both parties. I am keeping my mind open and just going the facts presented in the case.
So far only opening statements have been made and no proof has been given by either side…therefore, casting doubt on one party or the other is premature at the moment.
Waiting for the next session sir.

Now he’s champ again and not going down without a fight, But, what a STRONG!!! message by Aethran Overmaster to make by claiming the champion amidst the opening statements of the trial. If this was really real I would say, "You couldn't write this type of material" but I guess you just did or should I say the dice did. |
