Thank you everyone for the predictions. This should be an interesting run to the finish.
Buddy Rogers (9) v. Curt Hennig (32)
Hennig with chops but Rogers counters and sends Hennig hard into the corner for a kick. Rogers with a piledriver for a two count (R4/P2). Pin using the ropes does not fool Morgan Dollar into making a pin count. Hennig avoids an elbow drop but gets caught with a hard punch and jumping knee smash. Rogers flings Hennig into the corner and charges. Hennig moves out of the way and rolls up Nature Boy for a big near fall (R4/P1). HENNIG PLEX gets a two count (R7/P2). Rolling neck snap downs Rogers but he ducks a running lariat. Hennig gets whipped into a back elbow and a hard punch connects. Hennig turns things around and sends Rogers into the ropes. Rogers with an inside cradle for a one count (R8/P2). Rogers attempts another pin using the ropes but gets caught. Rogers tosses Hennig to the floor and when he crawls back into the ring Rogers connect with an atomic drop for a two count (R5/P3). Rogers with an elbow drop followed by a dropkicks. Rogers grabs a leg and applies a FIGURE FOUR GRAPEVINE for the submission victory (R7/P8). Up next . . .

More great action in the tournament. It looks like Road Warrior Hawk is the last tag guy standing and as a former winner that is impressive. I would have to think that Hawk will fall to Harley Race but you never know. Magnum T.A. over Nick Bockwinkel was huge and I was very pleased to see Ray Stevens, Bobo Brazil and Buddy Rogers continuing on. I'm going with Bobo Brazil to take it all.

Thanks for the feedback and comments everyone Unfortunately walkswithwolf I did not stats going back that far. A win loss record might be something cool to create before the tenth tournament. I will have to think about that. Harley Race (4) v. Road Warrior Hawk (28) w/Paul Ellering Morgan Dollar continues his trend of not allowing managers at ringside and sends Ellering to the back before the bell. Race sends Hawk into the corner and catches him with a kick. Back elbow stuns Hawk enough for Race to trip him up and apply an Indian Deathlock. Hawk reaches the ropes quickly (R4/P2) before getting sent into the corner again. This time Hawk gets the knees up to counter Race and then hooks him into an impressive vertical suplex. Gorilla press slam is even more impressive and gives Hawk a one count (R9/P2). Hawk comes off the top with a forearm smash to the head. Over-the-shoulder backbreaker and then Race is sent into the ropes. Race catches Hawk with a flying tackle and then goes back to the Indian Deathlock. Hawk again makes the ropes (R5/P3) before Race plants him in dead center ring with PILEDRIVER to get the three count (R5/P6). The first semi-final is set. We know that Ray Stevens will be one of the competitors in the second semi-final as a result of his bye. Up next, we find out who will meet Stevens . . . Bobo Brazil (3) v. Magnum TA (27)

Bobo Brazil (3) v. Magnum TA (27) Morgan Dollar has direct instructions before the match and the competitor shake hands. Neither wrestler can get anything going as they put on a display of near perfect defensive wrestling. Allen eats a back elbow and then a flying dropkick but manages to get the best of a test of strength before sending Brazil into the corner but Brazil counters the charge with a knee to the chest. Bobo body slam downs Allen who quickly regains his feet only to be dropped with a COCO BUTT for a one count (R8/P2). Brazil goes for a choke on the ropes but Allen counters and rebounds Brazil into a back elbow. Backdrop is blocked and Brazil slows it down with a front facelock. Allen connects with a leg drop and then controls with a simple side headlock. Brazil get back into it and sends Allen into the corner but Allen counters the charge with knee to the chest and then rebounds Brazil into the ropes. Both men go for a clothesline and crash together in the middle of the ring. Allen is up first and traps Brazil in an abdominal stretch that takes a lot of his larger foe. Allen climbs to the top but Brazil has enough to knock leg out and send Allen crashing to the mat. Brazil slows it with a head scissors. Brazil goes for a backbreaker but it is countered. Allen’s leg drop misses and Brazil connect with a running lariat. Brazil moves to a bear hug and it is Allen who gets the life drained from him now. The fans are buzzing as Brazil moves in for a COCO BUTT but Allen kicks out of the cover (R9/P2). Back to the bear hug and this time Allen punches free and then falls to the floor. Brazil comes outside but out of desperation Allen shoves Dr. Mike Lano into Brazil and it is enough of distraction to allow Allen to get the upper hand. Allen goes back to the abdominal stretch to punish Brazil and then connect with an atomic drop. Dropkicks are on target. Brazil is up and Allen scores with right jabs and another series of dropkicks. Brazil kicks out of the cover (R6/P1). Allen comes off the top with an elbow smash to the top of the head. BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEX plants Brazil. 1, kick out! (R11/P5) Ringside explodes! Atomic drop. Brazil is down. Allen is sucking wind but mounts the corner. Allen leaps but no one is home. Brazil hooks the leg for two (R9/P3). Brazil back to the bear hug. Allen again hammers his way free and falls to the floor to regroup. Allen regains the ring and Brazil is ready with a COCO BUTT. 1, 2, kick out (R7/P4). Another COCO BUTT and again Allen responds with a kick out (R8/P5). Allen is bleeding from the blows but manages to reverse a whip into the corner and follow through with a kick. Right jabs are blocked. Brazil goes to the head scissors to wear down Allen even more squeezing the crimson from Allen. Allen manages a side headlock and then sends Brazil into the corner. Brazil counters a charge and both men collide, crumbling to the mat. They both beat the ten count and Allen staggers into a bear hug. Allen uses his last ounce of strength to forearm his way free (R9/P6) before Brazil drops him with another COCO BUTT for the victory (R4/P7).
Just might have been the match of the tournament so far!
