Thanks TTX for the comments. A brief recap for any new promotors who might be checking out my event for the first time. This is my annual legends tournament that has been running since 2011. The tournaments were initially 64 competitors but when I transitioned to colour cards in 2017, the tournament was reduced to 32 competitors. This year I am excited to confirm that the field is back up to 64. Previous winners include: 2011: Bobo Brazil pinned Killer Kowalski in the finals 2012: Nick Bockwinkel submitted Andre The Giant [still stands out as one of may favourite matches I have ever rolled out] 2013: Road Warrior Hawk defeated Greg Valentine 2014: Antonio Inoki submitted Rikidozan 2015: Antonio Inoki pinned Mil Masacaras to claim back to back victories 2016: In the first non-clean finish tournament final, George Hackenschmidt bested Tommy Rich by DQ 2017: The controversy continued as Randy Savage and Rob Van Dam battled to a double disqualification in the finals and were declared co-winners. 2018: Steve Williams pinned Bruiser Brody A couple of points of interest. The first three tournament finals ended with snake eyes rolls. Further, Antonio Inoki eliminated Andre The Giant in back to back years with snake eyes rolls. A number one seed has never won the tournament. This year, the top sixteen seeds are going to awarded to the sixteen best performers from last year with Steve Williams seeded number one, Bruiser Brody seeded number two, etc. This means competitors like Tommy Rogers, Bobby Fulton, King Kong Bundy and others are seeded well above Lou Thesz, Randy Savage and others. Up first…. Steve Williams v. Angelo Poffo! As always, predictions and feedback are always appreciated.

Just watch out for disqualifications....upsets have happened due to those. Very true TTX. Very true indeed. Williams going out in the first match via DQ would be a major bummer.

Round One
“Dr. Death” Steve Williams (1) v. Angelo Poffo (64)
Williams powers out of a side headlock and hits a devastating looking spinebuster that forces Poffo to the floor to think things over. A BACKDROP DRIVER is waiting for Poffo when he regains the ring but Poffo kicks out of the cover (R8/P6). A Doctor Bomb follows and Poffo again escapes to the floor. Back inside, Williams gets caught on the top of the corner and tossed to the mat by Poffo. Poffo capitalizes with an immediate NECKBREAKER but Williams gets the shoulder up before Morgan Dollar reaches three (R6/P3). Poffo attempts to contain William on the mat but Dr. Death powers to his feet and is sent into the ropes. Poffo and Williams each go for a clothesline and crash to mat. Poffo hits a top rope neck snap and lays in forearms and a back-elbow smash. Poffo sends Williams to the ropes again and gets tackled to the mat. Spinebuster and Doctor Bomb both shake the ring and Poffo rolls to the floor where the fans give it to him. Williams hits a forearm to the top of the head when Poffo regains the ring and follows with a belly to belly suplex for the three count (R3/P3).
Up next . . . Curt Hennig (32) v. “Exotic” Adrian Street (33)
