I’ll actually pick Zbyszko too for the upset based on him once having a great 7 month reign as Intercontinental Champion in my fed. Hansen can definitely win but I will take Zbyszko.

Thanks for the feedback and pics Humanoids4eva , TTX , Vegas , Swarm , and Bri . Lots of love for the Legend. I was also psyched when the draw revealed a battle of former champions. Stan Hanson (24) v. Larry Zbyszko (41) Hanson has one direction that is straight ahead. His brawling attack overwhelms Zbyszko but the former World Champion comes back with spinning back kicks that catch Hanson off guard. Hanson slows it with a sleeper hold and the action spills to the floor after a Borger body slam. Zbyszko trips over Dr. Mike Lano and Hanson is all over him with stomps. Bare knee drop connects. Zbyszko manages to counter a clothesline with one of his own. Hanson regains his feet first and flips Zbyszko over into a Brazos Valley Backbreaker. The hold is applied in the middle of the ring and Hanson advances into the next round (R4/P4). We have our first marquee matchup of the second round with Hanson facing Nature Boy Buddy Rogers! Maybe not a snot kicking but convincing enough win for the Lariat Up next . . . Mad Dog Vachon (25) v. Greg Valentine (40) This will be my first time using the colour Vachon card. Valentine is a former finalist in this tournament and has a history of going deep over the years. Should be an interesting clash.

Great W for the Lariat! Gotta go with my friend Greg Valentine in the next one. Good luck, Hammer!

Congrats to The Lariat.
As for the next match, the only time the Hammer won gold in my fed is with the b/w version. The color card had this mid card feud with the Boogie Woogie Man and while entertaining, think Mad Dog as a single is a tough draw for most mid card types. Expect a dog eat dog contest, maybe make it a dog collar match?

I'm going with Mad Dog for this one, there's a ton of fight in Vachon.

Hansen vs Rogers could be off the chart. Looking forward to that match. Go Mad Dog.
