Hey Bri love your creativity with Alcatraz! I'm looking forward to the Sabu vs Strangler Lewis bout what a zany mash up of styles going on here  Hey victoryroll84! Thanks very much for those kind words dude! Some of these little pre and post match moments are going to carry over throughout the tournament (and in some cases tournaments); but most are just situational one offs. But glad you are digging these! I try to capture the moment's as I see em, which reminds me I'm going to be posting the little chart I came up with to point me in the right direction (or a direction) with these. Our promoter Paul Heyman is having some of the dilapidated buildings at least partially restored in order to accomodate Delmore Gobble's 64 wrestlers from the GWF once the second tag tournament and second singles tournament's begin. Heyman's life will soon become much more complicated. Appreciate you being a part of this my friend! |

Let's go, Nature Boy Buddy Rogers! Win it all because to a nicer guy it couldn't happen. Hey topdollar! He's definitely got a good shot at it - although he's a bit dinged up, he's still Buddy Rogers. I'm looking forward to the upcoming singles tournament as well. Going to have a number of wrestlers in it who have at least a variation of the Figure Four Leglock as finishers, could potentially be some huge battles. If Rogers can beat Mulligan (who's in worse shape than Rogers) and quickly he should be in pretty good shape. Thanks for the comment amigo! |

Hello all!
Just wanted to post the little chart I use to help dictate what happens both pre & post match to the wrestlers.
Alcatraz Tournaments Chart:

The chart is used before the scheduled match, and then after the match. Once you have a result then you just go where the stories take you / It's Up To You Promoter!
▪Roll versus each wrestler's disqualification rating to see if they are contemplating an ambush of some sort to their opponent.
2d6 Dice Roll Result:

▪ Higher than their Disqualification Rating = Starting / Furthering of Wrestlers Stories & Backstories / Training Descriptions.
▪ Equal to their Disqualification Rating = Wrestler Tries To Intimidate Opponent / Goes For A Psychological Edge.
▪ 1 Lower Than their Disqualification Rating = Wrestler Tries To Intimidate Opponent Via Serious / Warped Headgames.
▪ 2 Lower Than their Disqualification Rating = Wrestler Attacks Opponent With An Add 1 Move - (One That's Basically Appropriate For That Wrestler)
▪ 3 Lower Than their Disqualification Rating = Wrestler Attacks Opponent With An Add 2 Move - (One That's Basically Appropriate For That Wrestler)
▪ 4 Lower Than their Disqualification Rating = Wrestler Arranges For Opponent To Be Attacked By Cronies With An Insidious Add 2 Move - (One That's Basically Appropriate For That Wrestler)
The premise of all of this being - the higher the dq rating of a wrestler - the more often they will try to screw with their opposition / attack them before and after the match.
I roll the pre-match - write up what I see in my minds eye, roll out the match, then roll the post-match and write up what I see based off of either a preconceived notion and or the effect of the match result.

(aka Paul Heyman & Delmore Gobble)
(The promoter...Paul Heyman...is once again sitting at his desk within Building 64...with an extremely strong cup of coffee...As he takes a mighty gulp he looks at his notepad on his desk...which has several names written on it...each of the names have a line drawn through them...with the exception of the last name at the bottom of the page...that of Delmore Gobble...next to his pad...is a rather thick document):
Paul Heyman (as he hears a slow familiar knock at his door) - Yeah...
Delmore Gobble (opens the door and slowly walks inside Heyman's office) - Mr. Heyman...
Paul Heyman (noticing another document that's similar to the one that's on his desk...which he had recently received from Gobble) - Gobble...have a seat...
Delmore Gobble - My friend...I am thuroughly...enjoying these tournaments of your's...I see that you've received the bios for...my 64...
Paul Heyman (holds up the document for a second) - Yes I have...quite a...serious pack of freaks here...
Delmore Gobble - Indeed...but also the greatest wrestlers...of all time...and...space...
Paul Heyman - Well...that remains to be seen...dunnit?...
Delmore Gobble - If...my friend...you say so...
Paul Heyman (smiling some) - Alright...I'm too tired for that shit...whaddya want?...I see you've got another document there...
Delmore Gobble - Actually yes...I do...in short...much more talent has come forward...in interest of...you're little set ups here...
Paul Heyman (with an increasingly profitable smile...upon his face) - Is that a fact...
Delmore Gobble (with a similar smile) - That's a fact...
Paul Heyman...Well...it just so happens...my friend...that I...am now in the same boat...
Delmore Gobble - I'm not...in a boat...
Paul Heyman - Figure of speech...
Delmore Gobble - Ah...
Paul Heyman - I have the same sitiation...on my hands...some additional Legends...as well as multiple wrestlers and teams from the Independent circuits...among others...want in...
Delmore Gobble - Additional wrestlers from the GWF...as well as a few of our other promotions...and even a...rogue promotion on the outer rim...desire the same...
Paul Heyman (sits back in his chair...and takes this all in...before saying) - I think I can double...the amount of wrestlers I represent here...
Delmore Gobble (slowly sits back in his chair) - As can I...
Paul Heyman (since his coffee has kicked in some...he jabs a little) - Are you sure these...jokers of your's can handle our level...of talent?...
Delmore Gobble (smiles broadly...and tosses the new wrestler bio document right in front of Heyman) - Mr. Heyman...I am so...enjoying...our little talks here...and my answer is...absolutely...
Paul Heyman (thumbs through the new document...seeing some wrestlers even more disturbing looking than the original 64 from Gobble) - 128 of mine...and 128 of your's?...
Delmore Gobble - Done...and done...I should have a...finalized official listing...more or less by say ..the end of this second round...of the singles tournament...
Paul Heyman - Done...as will I...
Delmore Gobble (thinks for a second as he stands to leave) - Heyman...
Paul Heyman - Gobble...
(As Delmore Gobble closed Paul Heyman's office door behind him...he thought to himself...this...Alcatraz Island...is really growing on me...I wonder what The GWF...Board of Directors would say...to purchasing it...for future GWF use...)

Mornin all!
Going to be posting the first eight results of the 16 bouts in round two.
Haven't been able to play and post as much as I'd like too lately, but it's been a good busy.
From here out though, I'm going to only be posting the results of the bouts - I haven't been able to consistently roll out and write up pre and post match results so suffice to say, they are all baked into the results.
As a rule, all of these folks are trying to compete with eachother inside the ring and out.

The Masked Superstar defeated Frank Gotch via Pinfall. Superstar pinned Gotch with an absolutely brutal version of his SPINNING NECKBREAKER primary finisher at the 9:00 minute mark.
