Hey everybody!
The two feds I'm running in the Indy folder will be coming back up soon. As TTX said - rising soon from the grave lol & awsomsinger - a thousand thank you's for the paint job on the barn - Thunderkitty really digs painters - (I'm sure she wuz watchin).
My imagination and my attention deficit disorder had got together and came up with this idea.
I've been slowly playing these one out and over the course of multiple weeks. One match at a time, when I could.
The tag tournament is in the books but the singles tournament is still ongoing.
I hope the results are diggable!
Alcatraz - Building 64 (Introduction):
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
64 legends of wrestling...who also comprised 32 tag teams...had all signed contracts to compete in two single elimination tournaments...over the course of two seperate back to back weekends...
Both tournaments were true dark tournaments...filmed for what could quite be...some of the greatest ppv / dvd / blue ray professional wrestling tournaments ever filmed...
For what is...at times...a dark sport...the tournaments were held...in a dark place...on Alcatraz Island...a 22 acre island in San Francisco Bay...for paygates that you just wouldn't believe if we told you...
The original idea...and purpose behind the secluded location...was to promote easier concentration...sharper focus...less distractions...and an attempt to eek out the ultimate competition...from both the individual wrestlers...and the teams they comprised...
But above everything...the real challenge to all of them...was with the atypical conditions...
All of the matches were held back to back...with only 5 minutes seperating each one...and one round...fed directly into another one...
For the tag team tournament...31 tag team matches were held back to back...
For the singles tournament...63...
If you won your match...great...but then you had better spend you're time wisely before you're next match...
In between the matches...some of the winners meditated in their own personal...open prison cells...some worked out in the yards...some had to be patched up...some had found out who their next opponent was...and tried to use this information to prepare...and some used it to ambush them...cutting deals with other wrestlers still in the tournament...and even with the ones who were no longer...but couldn't leave the island...until the current tournament concluded...
But most...rested body and mind as much as they could...but not many...actually slept...there really wasn't enough time for that...and most knew...they really had to keep their eyes open here...there was too much riding on the line...and it was just...overall...too risky...
When you wrestled...in either tournament...you had to control not only you're opponent...but yourself...your own emotions...the only matches that were no disqualifications...were the final championship matches...
The path to those championship matches were ones full of aggregate fatigue...competing beyond endurance...mastery of one's rest and even in some cases sleep deprived emotions...forming strategic alliances...and finding out just who you're friends really were...as well as who you're true enemies...really were...
Wrestlers or teams could not communicate with the outside world...and could not leave Alcatraz...until each tournament officially ended...

The match ups were 100% randomly determined just prior to me playing each (which I really prefer - makes me look forward to each match even more cause it's unfolding in real time).
I've also devised a simple chart that determines guidelines if there are pre & or post match occurrences.
Take care all!
