ALright I'll be that guy ... anyone else watching this weekend? DC/Seattle game is in 3rd quarter and I've had a lot of fun watching.
I love watching start ups begin, grow, etc ... probably why I'm such a fan of AEW. Same kind of vibe too, new league not exactly "elite" but a lot of fun and something new and fresh.
If only Filsinger Games did a gravity ball league game LOL

The kick offs are pretty cool. Doesn’t look like too bad of a product.

I actually have watched both games today, it feels very immersive. Some sloppy moments but I am enjoying it for what it is. Really like how the officiating has been, the guy in the booth has been dead on jumping in only when needed and correcting calls.

I watched some of both games. I saw first score, first TD and first instant replay. It looks like Vince is doing it right this time. Being a filler for football between Super Bowl and the draft. Also a place to try things the NFL might want to add one day. I wouldn't be surprised if they are back next year if they add a team in England.

Watching the Tampa Vipers rack up the yardage but note be able to score leading to a bad loss made me think of my Lions. You know what I mean Swarm

Pretty successful opening weekend. I enjoyed what I saw. No favorite team yet but the BattleHawks looked good week 1.
In other football news, Swarm Jr. had his first game of the Mid-Winter season yesterday too - 32-6 victory led by DC Swarm’s swarming 4-1 defense. Coming off a 5-1 record last season, dare I saw we look even tougher this season. Go Chargers!

I watched the Battlehawks game because St. Louis is about 2 hours west of my small Southern Illinois town. I was very impressed with what I saw--especially their quarterback, the "Throwin' Samoan" Jordan Ta'amu. He'll probably get an invite to an NFL training camp next season. They were definitely more entertaining to watch than the final seasons of the St. Louis Rams.

LA fired their DC after one game. I guess Vince is handling all the staffing decisions.

I watched half of a game. For someone who hasn't even watched NFL for about 20 years, it was hard for me to follow. What is the comparitive standard? I'm guessing it's lower than college football? There were some fairly out of shape defensivbe linemen as well.

There were some fairly out of shape defensivbe linemen as well. The XFL is composed of players who would otherwise be third fourth stringers practice squad players etc. etc. so the talent level is is far below the NFL talent level and far below the NCAA college football level because lotta those guys at the next NFL players. But it’s football in America people will tune in to watch football. Edit: Sorry for typos I’m using voice chat
