Match Notes & Observations:
--------------------------------------------------------

1.  Harley Race was nothing short of an absolute force of nature in this matchup...Jimmy Snuka was never able to catch his breath...when Snuka was able to get in a substantial Steel Chair Shot on Race outside the ring...it only proceeded to hasten the end of the match...Harley Race made a real statement tonight...

2.  Both Bruiser Brody and Rikidozan resigned each other to the fact that each should box out the opponents tag partners...and try to finish this one off on their own...the pivotal "money shot" here was when Rikidozan trapped Brody in a Sunset Flip...with only Brody to immediately reverse it...and then miraculously Rikidozan via stunning core strength was able to reverse this now into a 3 & 1/4 count Sunset Flip...and absolutely no one was more suprised than The Sheik and Abdullah Farouk when Jim Londos Dropkicked both of them across the ring...that left both of them staring up at the ceiling...

3.  Although Gorgeous George gave it all he had against Lou Thesz...he just couldn't gain an upperhand for long against Thesz...Cherie Dupre seemed distracted throughout the match...often gazing down either of the aisles as though she were expecting someone to suddenly barge in on the match...as I inspected both of the locker room areas whilst Thesz's arm was raised in victory...I revived an unconscious Buddy Rogers...whom had been partially suplexed through a wall...

The Basement Brawls - End of Month 1 Report

The Dirty Dozen:
----------------------------------

Just a quick word here...the meeting took place right in the middle of the ring area...there was a photographer as well as a sketch artist...the same one who has taken over the job of capturing the essence of each match...in only one screen...

The participants here were the Owner...The Dark Menace...his very odd referee Hector...Hector's even odder valet if you will...who I believe is named Omen...but not 100% sure...Commissioner April Hunter....myself...and referee extraordinaire...Morgan Dollar...much was discusseed and negotiated:


1.  On alternate nights starting with the thirteenth card...the officiating will alternate between Hector and Morgan Dollar on subsequent nights...(it should also be noted that April Hunter is the one who convinced the straight shooting Morgan Dollar into this...whom in my humble opinion...may be a bit in her pocket...(can you blame him?)...as also in my opinion...this Hector seems to be in the Dark Menaces...

2.  The Dark Menace and April Hunter have upped their ante in so far as having one additional tag team on each of their sides in their collective wager against each other...partially because a number of groups have been pressuring both The Menace and April to be let into this...and as a result...a dozen additional wrestlers are being sanctioned into these "under the radar" brawls...whether the other wrestlers like it or not...and they won't but the two teams that are wrestling additionally...and specifically for The Menace and April are the most mysterious teams of the six and appear at the bottom:


a)  Team Name (Middle Fingers United) - Exotic Adrian Street With Miss Linda & Rowdy Roddy Piper.


b)  Team Name (Horseshoes & Handgranades) - Sabu & One Man Gang.


c)  Team Name (The Fabulous Kangaroos) - Al Costello & Roy Heffernan With Wild Red Berry


d)  Team Name (The Inglorious Bastards) - The Crusher & George The Animal Steele


e)  Team Name (The Myrmidons) - Achilles & Ajax With April Hunter*


f)  Team Name (Brutal Massacre) - Minister of War Number One & Minister of War Number Two With The Dark Menace **


*  This team is from one of the Greek Isles and is one that I've never heard of nor seen before...and their participation in this is apparently a product of what appears to be a secret arrangement between April Hunter and this trippy being...named Omen...starting to wonder exactly whose side Omen is really on...The Menace's or April's...and for the record...I wasn't stalking April...I was more like...keeping tabs...but one thing...(well another thing) I don't understand is that deep within their contract...Achilles And Ajax's real names are listed as Actagon and Proteus?...

**  The only team that's weirder than the Myrmidons...is this one in my book...they are also wrestler's that I've never seen or heard of before...also obviously wrestling incognito but now these people...per the fine print are named Brute and Massacre...are quintessential wrecking machines...I'm doubling security right now...I'm getting really nervous contemplating future confrontations between this team and the entire roster really...as well as the new teams listed above...this is the second team that is "The Dark Menace's"...to go against April's two teams...and weirdly...this intense...cigar chomping guy...Massacre...seems to be the one...pulling The Menace's strings here...as opposed to the other way around...I've got a bad feeling about this...this is too volatile...

3.  With the advent of this "Dirty Dozen" (as they were commonly referred to by many of the other wrestlers) joining The Basement Brawls...this overall competition has now been extended to an 18 month time frame...with each wrestler and team competing exactly 36 times...to determine who's the greatest of all time in singles and team competition

4.  In order to prevent this entire competition from imploding...The Dark Menace and April Hunter have decided on two things:

a)  The rest of the roster can now submit their own ideas and requests for changes and augmentations to the competitions...with the suggestions that will be adopted into the competitions...being revealed at the next end of monthly meeting....

b)  They are forcing everyone involved to sign non disclosure agreements...on account of the announcements of the actual paygates for each these competitions...1 Billion Dollars for the singles champion and 1 Billion Dollars to be split by the tag team champions...

Note:  An outside investor has now apparently contributed into this...now exactly how he will be compensated going forward...I'm not exactly sure...and I only saw him briefly once...and from a distance...but I would bet...that it was Ted DiBiase...

And this Dirty Dozen's dealing sounds incredibly interesting. Can't help but feel bad for the other teams since this just seems to be about the power struggle between Dark Menace and April, who have their own teams in this. Hopefully they can keep their heads up and not become cannon fodder to their machinations.

Great win for Harley Race over Jimmy Snuka as well as Rikidozan & Jim Londos beating The Sheik & Bruiser Brody on Card 12. The Dirty Dozen dealing with the two referees sounds like it could get wild. I really like Adrian Street & Roddy Piper in that event. Looking forward to the next show.
