"the referee for tonight was someone I've never seen before...someone who simply calls himself Hector..." "April Hunter's tight t-shirted presence here winds up distracting everyone in attendance at ringside with the exceptions of...the referee...and Nick Bockwinkel..." Nick Bockwinkel, I can understand. He's a man's man and is strictly business when the bell rings. Who is this referee Hector, and how did he get licensed as a referee? I demand answers! Is he even alive? Does he have a pulse? In all seriousness, great show man. As I said before, really love your concept. And this show was a lot of fun. Can't wait for the next one. Which I'm thinking. Hawk loses next week as well. Taking the Road Warriors to 0-2 over these two shows. Salt of the Earth gets another win. And, of course, Bockwinkel over in the main event. Let's Go Crime and Punishment! Hey ShauntotheMaxx! Very glad you dug the last card my friend - it was definitely a fun one. Really enjoyed the fact that you and I had the same take on how focused Bockwinkel is. Hector is focused as well but in a different way - and he definitely marches to the beat of his own drum. I know that I couldn't officiate with April Hunter at ringside. There wouldn't be any blood above my neck lol. Crime & Punnishment huh? I can dig that. I'm pulling for Lou Thesz to win the singles competition (with Gotch, Hackenschmidt, Rikidozan and Rob Van Dam as very close seconds). But for the tag competition - I can't make up my mind who I'm pulling for. Probably Superfly Samurai (Snuka & Baba were my very first and most successful tag champions back in the days when I only played the LOW Starter set). It should hopefully be interesting to see how this all plays out. Thanks very much for being a part of this dude!

Gotta love the roster, tag-teams and results. Great stuff! Go Reservoir Dogs! Hey magnumta! Thanks man for those kind words. It wasn't easy narrowing the field to only 24 for me with all of the awesomeness that's in the LOW line. Very stoked that you are enjoying this amigo. I figured you would be pulling for The Dogs. Dangerous talent on both sides there. They will be competing two cards from now against a wild team. Posting card number 11 in a few my friend. Very glad you are a part of this!

I'm catching up on this, but I like the scoring system you're using, fun stuff... Hey Crimson Cross! Welcome my friend! Glad it's an interesting system. I really am approaching this 144 card competition as more like wrestling but within a nascar format or something. I have to tell you that your "Iron Cafe" fed back in the day had a profound effect on me. (The Iron Cafe was yours right? My CRS has been getting worse lately). Many thanks for checking in and becoming a part of this amigo!

Bri's feds always rock. Looking forward to it and I think a certain trio may check in after the next show. Mornin TTX! You are far too kind my brother. Was knocked a bit off course and had to rest but card 11 will be posted today. Closing off the first month of the competition soon. Paul Maple will also soon be starting an end of month tally and report before the first Feb card. So looking forward to The Terrible Trio's take on this next card. On my way to doctors now but should be posting it shortly. YOU Rock TTX!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Match Notes & Observations: --------------------------------------------------------
1. Muldoon got totally robbed in this one. He's going to try to talk with his partner Lou Thesz to see if they can come to an agreement about having someone in their corner, in case they need to fight fire with fire.
2. Rob Van Dam stole the show in this one, he was too fast, too agile and too full of endurance for either of their opponents to compete with.
3. Nick Bockwinkel's victory here over The Eighth Wonder of The World (and especially considering that Heenah didn't need to interfere / sway the balance in any way) has turned the Basement Brawls upside down and inside out.

Special Notes To Self: ----------------------------------------------
▪ This Hector character gives me the creeps...I know that...I haven't been sleeping much lately...but I'm startin to see some weird things...Hector's ride pulled up to the church in a car driven by...what I can only describe as a small goblin...with a pretty obvious cocaine problem...and in the back seat of the car...a full length big brown bear suit?...I got nothin - all I hear is crickets now...where the hell is this Dark Menace really from?...let alone these freaks?...
▪ They (Owner Dark Menace and Commissioner April Hunter) have contracted an impressionist artist to hand draw a "money shot" sketch to represent each bout so far in The Basement Brawls as well as all subsequent ones...to be put inconjunction with my records as a match by match rather pricey "coffee table" book when this is all over in December...so far it would appear that Bockwinkel executing that Back Suplex on Andre for a pin is the leading candidate for the cover...
▪ Our Commissioner April Hunter called me on my cell and asked me to be available...for a meeting between herself...The Dark Manace and myself...after the 12th card...I said absolutely...when I asked her what the meeting was about...she said..."A lot...and also bring a pen and pad..."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Basement Brawls - Month 1 - Card 12: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Coming up next:
Last Card of Month 1 - Card 12 Results - A Preview: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Be Safe All!!

Nightmare Nikki: "Muldoon did get robbed but there was so much delicious blood there." Amaranth: "The V-Boys were just too much for Salt. I'm sure Albano goes back to the drawing board with this." Eris: "Impressive leverage by Bock. He once again shows why he is Tricky Nicky and smarter than you."
