Nice wins by Hack and Mil. The fed keeps rocking. Mornin TTX! I am very glad you are digging this my friend. I was pulling for both of these wrestlers to get the deuce - but especially Hackenschmidt. He's way up on my list of favorites. Coming up next is card 6 and with it the end of one cycle of matches (i.e. every individual wrestler and team will have wrestled once). Always glad you're in the seats brother!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Basement Brawls - Month 1 - Card 6: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
January 14th St. Anslems Church 4th Avenue & 82nd Street Brooklyn, N.Y. Start Time - 12:00 am.
Match Results: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Harley Race defeated Giant Baba via Pinfall - after an arduous assault Race finally pinned a blood soaked Baba with his Swinging Neckbreaker at the 18:30 minute mark.
Tag Bout: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2. The Clash - Johnny Saint & Andre the Giant defeated The Legbreakers - Buddy Rogers & Gorgeous George with Cherie Dupre via Pinfall - Andre Pinned Rogers with a profound execution of his BIG SPLASH at the 39:30 minute mark that also debilitated George and Dupre in the process.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3. Rikidozan defeated Bruiser Brody via Pinfall - Rikidozan pinned Brody via a focused and definitive version of THUNDEROUS CHOPS at the 18:00 minute mark.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Match Notes: ------------------------------
1. At first, this was a classic back and forth power wrestling match that took place within the confines of the ring. The turning point was when Giant Baba kicked out of Harley Race's PILEDRIVER with such authorithy that he lifted Race a foot off of him. From that point on - Race applied maximum relentless pressure against Baba for at least a straight ten minutes...
2. Andre the Giant was beside himself with anger throughout this entire match. With Johnny Saint starting off this match injured, an enraged Andre alternately pounded, threw and crushed both Buddy Rogers and Gorgeous George depending upon which unfortunate member of The Legbreakers was inside the ring against him. Andre's second BIG SPLASH against Rogers shook the ring so violently that the shock bounced both George and Dupre off of the apron and ass first onto the arena floor.
3. Without a doubt this was the most contested bout of the night. Brody's ragdolling power offense against the samurai like tenacity of Rikidozan. When Rikidozan started to gain the upperhand, Brody would "Hulk Out" and launch him across the ring. When Brody started to outbrawl him, Rikidozan would counter wrestle by tying Brody up in painful holds.
Observations: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. At the end of this bout...I actually saw Harley Race pause to consider offering his hand to Giant Baba to help him to his feet...he was definitely impressed by the heart that Baba showed in this match...Race didn't do it...but he was definitely impressed...
2. This match almost didn't happen. By the time I had gotten to the parking lot, the place looked like a demilitarized zone. I was told that both Rogers and George had jumped Saint prematch and was beating him to a pulp until Cherie Dupre's sudden scream alerted The Legbreakers that Andre had just arrived. From there our 12 members of security swung into action as Andre went apeshit. I was eventually able to talk the two cops out of making any arrests...but it sure wasn't easy...and I've started smoking again now...
3. This one really felt like a bout that should have ended with a title being awarded. There was no post match attack but there was a pre-match moment where myself, the referee and the timekeeper had an "Oh shit" feeling, it was when Bruiser Brody slowly walked towards the ring from the makeshift locker area with his steel chain wrapped around both of his fists...as he slowly and purposely banged his fists together over and over...it intimidated us...but not Rikidozan...
Individual Wrestler Scoreboard: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rikidozan - 2 Harley Race - 2 Mil Mascaras - 2 George Hackenschmidt - 2 Rob Van Dam - 2 Jim Londos - 2 William Muldoon - 2 Frank Gotch - 2 Buddy Rogers - 2 Andre the Giant - 2 The Sheik - 2

Jimmy Snuka - 0 The Destroyer - 0 Masked Superstar - 0 Johnny Saint - 0 Road Warrior Hawk - 0 Nick Bockwinkel - 0 Greg Valentine - 0 Gorgeous George - 0 Mr. Fuji - 0 Road Warrior Animal - 0 Giant Baba - 0 Bruiser Brody - 0
Tag Team Records: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Clash (Saint & Andre) - 2 V For Vendetta (Van Dam & Valentine) - 2 Damage Incorporated (Brody & Sheik) - 2 Soldiers of Fortune (Mascaras & Destroyer) - 2 The Road Warriors (Hawk & Animal) - 2
The Salt of The Earth (Fuji & Superstar) - 1
Old School (Gotch & Hackenschmidt) - 0 We Can Do This All Day (Thesz & Muldoon) - 0 Superfly Samurai (Snuka & Baba) - 0 Crime & Punishment (Bockwinkel & Race) - 0 The Reservoir Dogs (Rikidozan & Londos) - 0 The Legbreakers (Rogers & George) - 0
Special Notes: -----------------------------------------
▪ Well...I had a feeling that the other wrestlers involved in these...basement brawls...or whatever else you wanna call them...were gonna be pissed about Cherie Dupre's appearance in this...and they are...
▪ I was on a conference call with the promoter and the commissioner...the commissioner I didn't recognize by voice...but the promoter...she sounded familiar...anyway...apparently were gonna start seeing some managers and maybe valets / entourages in the picture here...some typical ones (considering whose corners they are in)...and some atypical...
▪ Kinda weird...but apparently there's a lot of underground talk going on amidst the wrestling world...and these 24 competitors have their own thoughts, principles and strategies about how to win this thing...and the manner in which they "want to"...
▪ Did I say I was relieved about the extra security I now have?...well I totally am!!!
▪ All of the wrestlers and teams have the right to negotiate to have someone in their corner...If they so choose...and for cards 7 - 12...Gorgeous George and the Legbreakers team...cannot have Cherie Dupre in their corner...in order to "balance all of this out"...these entourages can start as early as card 7...
▪ Apparently...if you win this whole thing without anyone in your corner...then you win a higher amount...than if you did if you had someone in it...this however is a rumor at this point...but I'm determimed to find this out for sure...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Basement Brawls - Month 1 - Card 6: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Coming up next:
Month 1 - Card 7 Results - But First - A Preview: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Greg Valentine with Sherri Martel vs Gorgeous George
2. The Road Warriors - Road Warrior Hawk & Road Warrior Animal with Precious Paul Ellering vs The Soldiers of Fortune - Mil Mascaras & The Destroyer with The Dark Menace
3. The Sheik with Abdullah Farouk vs George Hackenschmidt
Be Safe All!!

Thanks very much man. I'm really glad you dug this last card. With Race I wanted to really show two things 1. A honest reflection of how well Giant Baba wrestled by 2. The fact that even though Race doesn't really like anybody...he was driven to the point of actually showing true respect to Baba...but then remembered that respect or no respect...he's still Harley Race lol. A case of Race Under Pressure. Let's see how accurate you are with you're prediction on the upcoming tag bout - going to be posting card 7 soon. Thanks for you're support!

Really liking the Clash team. Short, sweet and a lot of cool matches and teams. Hey TTX! I wanted to give Saint & Andre a name that really spoke of a combo of completely different styles - I am very stoked that you are enjoying that. And with this fed I wanted it to be sort of like a NASCAR year long like competition. Also wanted to stay specifically on only the Legends line - because all of the other feds Ive done for the most part have been mash ups of other and sometimes all Filsinger product lines lol. I'm also really trying to make these card posts lean and mean (for me) which when it comes to posting can sometimes be 5x the length of this one. Size doesn't always matter lol - (now how often do you hear that?) Going to be posting card 7 and all related stuff plus the card 8 line up - another interesting tag bout in the middle of that puppy. Always appreciate you're presence brother!

Here are my next predicted winners: Gorgeous George Roadies Hackensmidt Hey Thomas (TK)! Yes sir...true dat! Glad the tidbits and comments from our man on the ground Mr. Paul Maple are worth the read. Yep - not all of them got cranky at the "Dupre Debacle" but enough of them did. Hopefully the managers and or entourages will be enjoyable. Whomever now his them in their corner are basically the ones who started some shit. Interesting picks my friend, card 7's results and info along with card 8's match line up I'm going to be posting soon. Muchas Gracias!
